Paula Dombrowiak was a new to me author when I discovered her first book- Blood and Bone in early 2021. I was awed by her debut rockstar romance and wowed by the characters she introduced in that first book in this truly amazing, continuing series. For the most immersive experience, please read them in order. Already a fan? Well, now, the long awaited 4th book is here and Bound to Burn has totally stolen my jaded heart!
One thing I know for sure- after all the ups and downs that Cash Morgan has had to endure along the way, I wanted to hug him and give him the world he yearned for. One where he's the only love of someone's life and to find his long awaited happy ending, 'cos boy did he deserve that. He'd been burned, betrayed, suffered losses and hurt so badly by the people he loved most. Now he guards his heart, never wanting to feel that kind of pain again.
Then, along comes Sasha Leone, a younger, beautiful free spirit with an old soul who blows his resolve right out of the water. She's a student, back home now and looking for a summer job. A bright shining light and everything good while he's just a grumpy, older record store owner who can't stop thinking about her. Her kindness and compassion attract and intrigue Cash but he's not at all sure what to do about it. He's happy with his life now, alone is easier, there are less disappointments that way.
So many emotions were galloping through my head as I read Cash and Sasha's poignant story. It began as a sexy slow burn, full of tingly anticipation while waiting for them both to get to the same place, but once that happened, all bets were off and there was no stopping their chemistry from burning even hotter.

After devouring every single chapter, the peek into Cash and Sasha's future was the sweetest icing on the delicious cake I was craving at the end of this steamy and heartwarming story. Paula Dombroiak gave me everything I wished for and left me lying in a puddle of happiness as I turned the last page of Bound to Burn.
Knowing the backstory of these complicated character's lives from first friendships to first loves, fame, conflict and now peace, makes their journey all the sweeter. This is book 4 in a series and although is not absolutely required is best if you read them in order to get the full experience.
Cash Morgan is a 40 something years old man who’s trying to get his life back on track after being in a rock band in the 90s and having married one of his best friends to then loose it all in the blink of an eye.
Sasha Leone is a 23 year old cowgirl with an eye for photography and a mouth full of sass. They have to deal with the past so they can finally meet their future.
This book! Oh boy, I’ve loved Cash since book one and his book was probably the most anticipated one out of the series and it delivered everything I was hoping to get and then some. He’s a grump fighting so hard not to fall for who he knows is the love of his life, the one that brought him back to life! And Sasha is just a ray of sunshine ready to start her forever.
I absolutely love the dynamics between these two, their chemistry is off the charts! And their spice scenes are out of this world! I mean, picture this hunk of a guy in a bike, and Sasha feeling desired and powerful… you better read it! And when he explains the difference of two guitas by demonstrating on her body… oh yes! 😮💨
This book definitely has it all! Swoon, Heat, Angst, Love, Family! Paula’s writing is delightful. Another gem to be read and cherished!

Like crusin' down the highway on the back of a motorcycle...Paula, once again took me on one hell of a beautiful ride. While not being as angst driven as the previous books in this series, Cash's story was a deeply personal one. It's sincere, honest, and so very sexy. A heartfelt journey written with gorgeous sentiment, feeling, humor, and so much heart that you'll find it hard not to fall in absolute love with this man and this book.
Cash is a man who long ago closed the door on love. The pain and heartache in his past had broken him once and he wasn’t about to relive that again. Fate though, has a funny way of throwing you a curveball when you least expect it. Especially when it comes dancing into his life with a sassy attitude, pink glittered Converse, smells like peppermint, and makes him crave things he's long forgotten about but has always wanted.
Sasha Leone is a young woman with dreams of becoming a photojournalist. For now though, she's just in need of a summer job. Sasha has a carefree and optimistic outlook on life despite being hurt by love before.With her sunshine attitude and playful barbs, she begins to not only breathe life back into Cash's record store but, into him as well. A romantic at heart, Sasha wants the kind of life with big love and the more time she spends with Cash....the more she wants that type of life with him. But, for a man who’s been burned before... can he let go of the heartbreak and pain in his past and let himself love again.
GAH! There's so much to love about this book!Cash is the type of man that brands your heart and soul. So beautifully broken, I just wanted to heal his scars, mend his heart, and have him find the love and happiness he always deserved. I loved how Sasha challenged Cash, pushing him to experience the beauty in living life again and rediscovering the man he always was. The one she sees though her eyes.
The relationship between Cash and Jack is one of true honest friendship while also being an endless source of laughs throughout the book. I enjoyed every moment of thier humurous banter and the moments when they got real with each other. This is one bromance that I will never gets old and one that I will ALWAYS be here for!
This was another absolutely incredible read and such a beautiful addition to Paula's amazing series! Get this book on your TBR NOW! I promise that you'll not only fall for Cash....your going to absolutely BURN for him!

Paula is one of the most amazing writers of the rock star romance genre that I have found in the past couple of years. I have been totally blown away by the previous three books in the Blood and Bone series and Bound to Burn has been more of the same. It is an unforgettable love story from beginning to end but it is also a breath of fresh air after the intensity of the other books in the series. This is not to say that it is light and airy at all, it is still painful and angsty to read in parts as Cash is still struggling to come to terms with his past, but I could see rainbows on his horizon when he met Sasha.
Cash certainly deserved happiness with someone who was not part of his past and who came to him with a fresh perspective on life. Sasha is fun, outgoing and sassy and unlike Cash is not dwelling in the past but is excited for the future both in her career and hopefully with the jaded former rockstar. Unfortunately Cash has been broken for so long it is tough for him to now accept the gift in front of him, especially because of their age difference and he fights their growing attraction for as long as he can, believing that he has nothing left to give her, and boy was that a long fight! I thought that they would never get there, but when they did it was beautiful and magical and all I could have wished for Cash.
Good to see Jack put in an appearance again as his usual a**h**ey self, but it was great to see that his friendship and affection for Cash was still as strong as ever and that he wanted his former bandmate to be happy, even if he could not resist teasing Sasha who always gives as good as she gets.
After all they have gone through in their lives it is wonderful to see Jack and especially Cash find their happy ever afters and Paul does and amazing job of giving us just what I needed for both of them. This is one of the best rocker romance series ever and should not be missed.

Another raw, real, and deep romance from Ms. Dombrowiak!
In this series, I have always been "Team Cash" and I was so happy to see him find love, not to mention getting to showcase his rugged persona;)
While this is a sexy age-gap/work place romance, I think my favorite part was the grumpy/sunshine aspect. I loved how spunky Sasha pushed Cash's buttons and got under his skin, and engage him in such snarky, quick-witted behavior. I seriously loved seeing this hot grump get irritated. It was comical in the sexiest of ways because you can see him being pulled from his comfort zone AND you can tell he likes it. He doesn't want to like it, but he does and to me, that is the second sexiest thing about him. The first is anytime he's on his motorcycle, because come on, I've been digging that since Breath to Bear!
Sasha challenges Cash and brings out the best in him, while he gives her a stable set of loving arms to always return to as she uncovers a world-altering secret from her past.
Like every book in this series, I recommend Bound to Burn to the fullest!

I'm so happy with this book. All the attention has been focused on Jack and Mia for so long and Cash has just been existing, living in their peripheral. So to see him come to life as he falls in love, this time with the right woman, was so incredibly satisfying.
I've always felt bad for Cash. He loved Mia and although she loved him back, it wasn't enough. Jack was always in the spotlight, even if it was for the wrong reasons and Cash was just kind of there in the background. Life was happening around him, but he didn't really get involved. He had his record store, a few good friends and he existed rather than live. Until Sasha entered his life and he started coming to life even as he tried to resist it, to resist her. With a 20 year age gap, he thought he was too old for her and had too much baggage, but that didn't stop Sasha from going after what she wanted and what she wanted, was Cash. Even as he does start to give in to his feelings for Sasha, he is slow to trust not only her, but himself. He's always wondered why he wasn't enough for Mia, even though that wasn't the case, so he wonders if he will ever be enough for any woman. It isn't until some secrets from his past are revealed that he can close that chapter of his life for good, and give Sasha what she deserves, which is all of him including his baggage. I loved that even at 23, Sasha was confident and knew her worth. Not letting Cash get away with anything. She doesn't mince words and has no problem putting Cash in his place. She is exactly the kind of woman he needed.

Passionate
Emotional roller coaster. My heart aches for Cash. I feel like he’s an old friend who I’ve cried with through his heartache as I’ve read each book in this series. He has so many layers and their all cemented behind a brick wall he’s built around his heart. The wall holding the hurt in instead of facing it and healing from it. He just wasn’t ready to do the work to heal.
Sasha has her own hurt. She has her feelings and heart on full display open for the world to see. She in my opinion is an old soul. Wise beyond her years. The motto for this book is “When I move, You move”. Her maternal grandparents play a large part of this book and the journey.
What they don’t know is an integral part of each of their pasts binds them together.
I loved this book and each book in this series. Jack, Cash, Wade and Mia along with Erin, Sasha and Adam have become dear friends and family. Read this book! Read this series!!!!

In book 4 of her Blood & Bone series, Bound to Burn, Paula Dombrowiak cements her place as a strong voice in romance.
While lighter than the rest of the works in this outstanding series Bound to Burn still had the significant undertones of the sadness and tragedy that colored Ms. Dombrowiak's previous works. Where this story deviated was that it focused more on the transition of moving on and finding happiness.
Cash Morgan went from a sad solitary man mired in his past sorrows to opening up to a young fresh perspective in pink sparkly converse. Sasha Leone, the catalyst to Cash's transformation, was not without a life touched by misfortune yet her approach to life allowed her to look ahead and not behind, always reaching for life's potential rather than settling in defeat. Ms. Dombrowiak did a great job of juxtaposing Sasha's physical youth against her beyond her years wisdom. Sasha served as a good example and mentor showing Cash how to move on. This couple's grumpy/sunshine dynamic was often charming but was by no means trite as it touched on the serious issues that held them back. This couple's personal struggles were written thoughtfully as his author shared some poignant moments. Sasha and Cash without a doubt were caught up in a timeless and fated relationship that once they surrendered to their attraction and intense feelings were able to move toward the happiness they both deserved.
It is clear from reading Paula Dombrowiak's work that she is emotionally invested in her characters with her deep introspective portrayals and intertwined stories. This author's writing is passionate and complicated, easily captivating her audience. Bound to Burn was a nice progression of a wonderful series!

As I start this review, I want you to know, I have only read the prologue. I have read the prologue 4 times and it has gutted me! I so hate Mia for many of the things she did to both Jack and Cash, but ohh how I also miss her! I know this book is going to be awesome . . . I know this book is going to take me through a rollercoaster of emotions but I have faith that this author will leave me whole at the end. I rarely make notes for my reviews during my read of a book, but this book has me doing just that.
Some of the funniest scenes I have ever read come from this book. Just thinking about the scene from the Art Gallery makes me laugh out loud . . . or from the epilogue at the wedding . .. but at other places my heart broke for Cash and then as this author always does, she put it back together. I could draw on so many quotes from this book that make me swoon over this couple . . . oh how I wish I had just a bit of the eloquence of this author so that I could do my review of her work the justice it deserves.
I don’t want to leave out commenting about the chemistry and heat between Cash and Sasha. Although this book was a bit of a slow burn, the angst and chemistry that built up between the two was hot!!! When we got the steamy scenes , they were combustible! Paula has a true talent in her ability to write those smexy scenes! Grab a big glass of wine and some of your favourite chocolates and prepare to enjoy!
The biggest surprise for me was that there is another book coming for this series. I assumed Cash’s book was the last, but I'm sooooo excited to read about Hayley. I hope because she is Jack’s daughter we will continue to see him quite a bit but I also hope we see everyone else as well. I miss the all!!!!
I highly recommend one clicking anything by this author. I recommend even more that prior to starting this book you get a good night's sleep, pre-make any meals you are responsible for, call into work sick, put on your comfy clothes and find a really long movie marathon for the kids. Once you start Bound to Burn, you won’t be able to put it down!!!

This very sexy, age gap, rockstar romance will knock you off your feet. This is the 4th Book in the Blood & Bone series and finally we get to experience Cash finding his footing in life again and learning how to live and breathe after everything he has been through.
Cash is running his record store and making the most out of life after everything that has happened to him and his friends/family. He is trying to make the most of the life he is given but there is something missing in it and he can't put his finger on it. He has watched his close friends and former bandmates begin to make a life again but he is not sure if that is in the cards for him until he meets Sasha. Sasha is young, free spirited, energetic, intriguing, beautiful, and has his attention from the moment that met at the summer concert in Book 3. He offered her a job at his record store but he never thought she would actually take him up on the offer, until she does.
Then she is everywhere. She is invading his space and his store in a way he never thought would have such an impact on him. He wants to be near her and he loves her energy and for the most part her taste in music, but he is still struggling to move on from the disaster of his marriage and the fallout after her death. He knows that Sasha is not her but she it too young for him and he could never give her what she needs.
The struggles internally with Cash are explored with such finesse and detail that you feel everything he does and it is beautiful. Sasha is a free spirit and her energy really makes the world of difference in Cash's life. Her photography is beautiful and her desire to make his world better through her love and commitment to him is pure magic. Cash doesn't make it easy but when they finally give in to the primal need for each other it is dynamite. They are perfect together and their connection is explosive and very hot. You will devour this book just like all the others in this series. Seeing Cash find his true path is a beautiful thing and this book will leave you satisfied and happy! Happy Reading!

This book is probably my favorite in the whole series. I loved everything about Cash and really believe that reading Mia's side of the story helped me understand Cash and how he became the person he is. Watching his new love story unfold with his person was just amazing. Cash finally reading Mia's journal and understanding how she felt about him I really believe finally gave him the path to move on and trust again. It was just beautiful.
Sasha was such a twist of fate and so many variables that shows fate was steping in so many ways to bring them together one way or another they would have crossed paths. But Sasha also had her own set of scars, even so young, that she had to come to terms with to be able to trust and love again.
Just when it seems that Cash and Sasha are together in a committed relationship sharing their pasts, deeper parts of themselves, and learning to trust, some crazy revelations happen that can derail the who relationship and maybe they are not ment to be forever, maybe just a part in each other's storys. You are just going to have to read to see if Cash and Sasha get their Happily Ever After.....
I absolutely loved each song at the beginning of the chapter that really encompasses what is going on in that moment, so nice just to click on it and play the song while diving into reading.
I can't forget to mention the spice it is just off the charts with these two the chemistry on fire, just imagine secluded hot sex on top of a harley and that is just one of the amazing sceens. Just such a awsome read and my favorite so far in the series.

Bound to Burn is a book I have waited so long for and Paula did not disappoint to give the story that Cash so deserved.
Cash is so buried in the heartbreak an grief of Mia that I’m not sure if he ever saw himself coming out of the hole. But fate has a funny way for putting the person you are meant to be with in your path even if you don’t want it. An the even funnier part of that she was connected to his past all this time.
Sasha was always searching for the piece that was missing, photography was the love that she thought came from her mother but it was really the artistic nature that came from the dad she never knew.
Cash and Sasha are definitely a flame that once it ignited could bring the world down with the amount of passion that came from them. Cash loves with his whole self an once he finally lets that happen it’s so beautiful. He starts to come back to the person he was before Mia and Jack and the heartbreak.
I loved this story so much and was so fortunate to be able to read this beautiful story and it will always have a special place oath me, Cash has been the story I’ve wanted since he jumped on the back back at book one. An it was perfect.

What I really enjoy about Paula’s writing is the attention to detail of setting a scene, staying consistent, all while thoroughly developing an amazing story of forgiveness, cross points, and second chances. I loved the art exhibit scene with all the men, who got an eye-full, so hilarious! Overall, I have become completely enamored by this group of Rockstars!
As a whole, the blood and bone series is deep, emotional, and truly a top read if you like notes from the 90s, including music, possessive men that will make you burn and give all the feels! Ms. Dombrowiak has become one of those writers that gives comfort in their craft; words that immediately draw you in, carry through and end with cadence for more…of course, in all the best, most promising of ways. Also, I was honored to be apart of this book’s publication as a content consultant/sensitivity reader. Thank you, Paula, for the opportunity. Overall, I highly recommend this series, and hope to read more about the side characters in future novels. I reviewed an early copy voluntarily, and look forward to additional works by the author.

Sasha needed a job for summer. In the fall she’s going back to school and hopefully land an internship in her chosen profession. Cash needs a permanent employee but Sasha is here, she’s been recommended and he offers her a part time job. When he looks at her it’s so cute how he reacts to her. Sasha is a very talented photographer and Cash is the model of her dreams. I love that Sasha has only been working for Cash a few weeks and he’s already worried about not seeing her when summer is over. The chemistry of these two is off the hook. When he kissed her it was such a surprise because I wasn’t expecting his lack of control in that moment, it was hot. Like I thought my kindle was going to explode hot. When they finally got together I was holding my breath, this was explosive. I usually finish a book in twenty-four hours but this book had me reading slower then usual. I didn’t want to miss a thing, not one morsel of this delicious couple. The ending was fantastic, I loved it. I’m giving this book five stars and highly recommend it.

As Paula already knows. This story is my fave of the 4 we already got Cash is my fave of the Blood and Bone gang. And Sasha has really stolen my heart. She is so supportive of Cash and his trepidation of starting a new relationship.
the story had me heart broken at prologue which revisited Mia and the journal she asked Jack to give to Cash end of Bonds we Break. . The teasing and banter between Sash and Cash when they first meet had me laughing out loud . Jack is such great comic relief coming off of the dark that was Mia's story. Much needed and Paula delivered in hearts and spades. The book itself is so superbly written so descriptive and flows so beautifully. Narrative is perfect. My fave scene the ranch scene where Cash finally gives in to his feelings. Made my heart go out to Cash even more but what sold me on scene and made me love Sash even more was what she said to him when he told her he was scared shitless about starting relationship with her. The other scene I loved is the Les Paul vs Stratocaster lesson Cash gave Sash. & Then the plot twist that almost tears these 2 apart, rooted in his past. this book has everything. Heartache drama comedy wrapped up in an amazingly written story. Wish I could give more than 5/5 . I highly recommend this series which will end with Hayley's story And especially this book . As you can see by this review I am not often left wordless but man all I could say to Paula is OHHH, AAAAH, OMG and WOW

After reading the last book I wanted Cash to have his own HEA and now he got it.
Sasha was younger but that’s just what he needed to bring him out of the shell he’s been in for a while.
Raised by her grandparents she’s had great role models.
She smiles at me. “Fifty years isn’t the destination, it’s just part of the journey; and being with your grandpa has been the greatest journey of my life.”
Cash has been betrayed by the people that he cared about most. Learning to trust again is not easy but there is something about her that draws him in.
“You’re a little late, Erin,” I sigh. “How could anyone be in the presence of a man like Cash and not fall for him?”
This is a emotional outstanding story. This author knows how to bring out all the feels!!

Bound to Burn is hands down my favorite book in the series, and I don't think that's going to change! I LOVED the way Paula Dombrowiak told Cash & Sasha's story, and even though she said this book would be "low angst", my heart ached every time Cash remembered his past, or when he and Sasha realized the link between them. But it was all worth it to discover that these two are also my favorite couple!
I've loved Cash ever since I read about him in Blood & Bone and his story with Jack & Mia has broken my heart over and over again! as I said before Bound to Burn was no exception: it was very sad to read how Cash has never felt enough, how he thinks he will never be able to give his heart to someone again and how he has isolated himself from the world so as not to be hurt and how his heart breaks a little more every time he remembers Mia, their past together and Mogo, but I loved every moment of it! I really liked knowing more about him: his big heart, how sweet, adorable, grumpy and flirtatious he can be, and how he try by all means to avoid feeling something for Sasha, I think he really is the best man in this series.
Sasha also stole my heart from the first time I read her in Breath to Bear, and I have to say that I didn't expect her story to be so peculiar, interesting and gave a tremendous twist to the plot of Blood & Bone, especially since this important part of the plot of Sasha helped me to know more about a character that I also LOVE so much. Also, Sasha has one of the coolest personalities in the series, I love her bravery, the way she flirts with Cash from the beginning and how she is always honest with what she wants and feels for him, how she loves her family with all her heart, as well as Ivan and the very interesting friendship she formed with Gabriel were some of my favorite things in this story.
I think that Cash & Sasha have one of the best stories I've ever read: I loved that everything started even before this book, that their attraction is immediate and that neither can avoid what they feel for the other, besides that I LOVED that even with the difficulties they face, Paula has given them the most tender, beautiful and common moments together. I really liked that Cash found in Sasha everything he always wanted for his life, especially that he returns to enjoy the music that is a big part of him.

He amado a Cash desde que lo leí en Blood & Bone y su historia con Jack & Mia me ha roto el corazón una y otra vez! como ya dije antes Bound to Burn no fue la excepción: fue muy triste leer como Cash nunca se ha sentido suficiente, como cree que nunca va a ser capaz de entregarle su corazón a alguien de nuevo y como se ha aislado del mundo para no ser lastimado y como su corazón se rompe un poco más cada vez que recuerda a Mia, su pasado en común y a Mogo, pero me encantó cada momento de ello! Me gustó muchísimo conocer más de él: su gran corazón, lo tierno, adorable, gruñón y coqueto que puede ser, y como intento por todos los medios evitar sentir algo por Sasha, creo que realmente es el mejor hombre de esta serie.
Sasha también se robó mi corazón desde la primera vez que la leí en Breath to Bear, y tengo que decir que no esperaba que su historia familiar fuera tan peculiar, interesante y le diera tremendo giro a la trama de Blood & Bone, especialmente porque esta parte tan importante de la trama de Sasha me ayudó a saber más de un personaje que también AMO demasiado. Además, Sasha tiene una de las personalidades más geniales de la serie, me encanta su valentía, la manera en la que coquetea con Cash desde el principio y como siempre es sincera con lo que quiere y siente por él, como ama a su familia con todo su corazón, al igual que a Ivan y la amistad tan interesante que formó con Gabriel fueron de mis cosas favoritas en esta historia.
Creo que Cash & Sasha tienen una de las mejores historias que he leído: me encantó que todo comenzara antes incluso de este libro, que su atracción sea inmediata y que ninguno pueda evitar lo que siente por el otro, además de que AMÉ que aún con las dificultades que enfrentan, Paula les haya dado los momentos más tiernos, hermosos y comunes juntos. Me gustó mucho que Cash encontrara en Sasha todo lo que siempre quiso para su vida, especialmente que vuelva a disfrutar de la música que es una gran parte de él.

Sasha también se robó mi corazón desde la primera vez que la leí en Breath to Bear, y tengo que decir que no esperaba que su historia familiar fuera tan peculiar, interesante y le diera tremendo giro a la trama de Blood & Bone, especialmente porque esta parte tan importante de la trama de Sasha me ayudó a saber más de un personaje que también AMO demasiado. Además, Sasha tiene una de las personalidades más geniales de la serie, me encanta su valentía, la manera en la que coquetea con Cash desde el principio y como siempre es sincera con lo que quiere y siente por él, como ama a su familia con todo su corazón, al igual que a Ivan y la amistad tan interesante que formó con Gabriel fueron de mis cosas favoritas en esta historia.
Creo que Cash & Sasha tienen una de las mejores historias que he leído: me encantó que todo comenzara antes incluso de este libro, que su atracción sea inmediata y que ninguno pueda evitar lo que siente por el otro, además de que AMÉ que aún con las dificultades que enfrentan, Paula les haya dado los momentos más tiernos, hermosos y comunes juntos. Me gustó mucho que Cash encontrara en Sasha todo lo que siempre quiso para su vida, especialmente que vuelva a disfrutar de la música que es una gran parte de él.

WOW! I fell in love hard with Erin and Jack, but I have now totally fallen in love with Cash and Sasha. Their story had my emotions all tied up in knots. I was laughing and crying throughout, and my heart was ready to explode over how much I loved these two together. But their love story is not an easy one as there are so many little hurdles both need to jump over in order to get to their happy ever after.
Cash has so much baggage that he carries around with him, making it difficult for him to try to love again. He has built huge walls around his heart and tries hard not to let anyone get close enough to take those walls down. He has been so lost for a long time, but when a feisty, sassy and totally bratty women storms into his life, Cash can finally learn to love again.
“You breathed life into me, gave me something I had been missing for a long time…But you also hold the power to take it all away, and it scares the shit out of me.”
I absolutely adored Sasha. She is everything that Cash needs in his life. The way that she just infiltrates his life was just perfect. This girl has so much sass that she had me laughing out loud throughout and I could just picture the faces that Cash was making every time something bratty, or sassy came out of her mouth. She is a force to be reckoned with!
“Don’t let fear rule your life, because if you never leap, then you can never fall…I’m asking you to choose me, to love me, and when you fall, just know that I am falling with you.”
I loved the dynamics between Cash and Sasha. He’s the older, grumpy, heartbroken, retired rockstar and she’s the younger, carefree, old soul with attitude. Their connection is undeniable and the tether pulling them together was unbreakable. The slow burn of their relationship was intense and had my toes curling with anticipation of when they were going to collide. When they eventually did – I think I screamed – YES!!! Let’s just say the guitar lesson was panty combusting!!
Fate really had a hand in bringing these two together at the perfect time in both their lives.
Also I just want to add that when Jack and/or Wade were around Cash, I could not stop laughing at their back-and-forth banter. It was absolutely fantastic.

When a book has you so invested that you want more and more, it deserves more than 5 stars and I definitely would give Bound to Burn more. This is the fourth book in the Blood & Bone series and it is Cash Morgan's story, which I have been waiting for. He has always intrigued me from the beginning. His life was shattered in books 1-3 and all I wanted was for him to get his HEA and he finally does, but not after the internal struggle he had with himself.
Cash now owns and runs Underground Records and is trying to live his life or at least get a grasp of living. Since losing Mia twice, once to Jack and then when she died in the car crash he has built walls around his heart and has decided that he does not need love in his life. Well in walks Shasha, a feisty, gets what she wants woman who flirts and pushes the boundaries and Cash is all in a twist. She is 20 years his senior and she knows just what to say and what to do to get under his skin. She is wise beyond her years and her life has not been the easiest but she doesn't let it get her down. The push/pull relationship between them is hot and the banter is fantastic. Cash keeps telling himself that she is an employee and way too young but there is something that keeps pulling him in. When there is danger for her family, he is right there to help. He is the one who wants to protect her and that is where the lines are crossed and the sparks ignite. There was a lot of history shared and news delivered that did cause feelings to come to the surface.
No Blood & Bone book would the same without having Jack front and centre and string the pot. Although he was involved in the shattering of Cash's heart, he is still very protective of Cahs and lets Sasha know. Does he intimidate Sasha while protecting Cash? No, she stands up to him and that made me love her even more.
I truly loved this book. Cash is one that will own your heart right from the start. Ms. Donbrowiak always delivers a story that is beautifully written, gripping and has you so engrossed with the characters and storyline that you actually have a book hangover when you get to the end of the book. Bound to Burn is just that book and when I was finished I was in awe of the amount of love that Cash had within him to give to Sasha. I highly recommend picking up Bound to Burn and enjoy the love that overflows throughout the book.

Cash seemed content just to live out his life in the record store where he's surrounded by the first love of his life, the music. He's worked on mending his relationship with Jack, despite their history. He's about to find out, fate isn't done with him yet.
If you remember in Breath to Bear, which is book two, some young blond had the audacity to shove a camera in his face and begin snapping photos while at a music festival. He mentions that he needs to get back to running the store, since the one person he had helping to run it leaves with no notice. Sasha offers to work for him over the summer.
She's half his age, with dreams of becoming a photojournalist. She also wants to stay on the family ranch and help her grandparents with the horses they rescue. They and the horses are her world.
The moment she saw him through the lens at the festival, she knew there was a storm behind his gray eyes. The camera knows what it sees. Sasha is bound and determined to show Cash that his life is far from over. Only, there is a secret that could cause everything that they fight to become to go up in flames...
Oh, my heart! As much as I obsessed over Jack and Erin's insane beginning, Mia's gut wrenching, I just knew Cash was going to floor me. This 'HEA' was so hard fought, and the sweet taste of peppermint only adds to the joy and the love within. There are some awesome cameos from past characters and a nice crossover mention, the 'Jacks' are outstanding. The the real showstealer isn't even a real person, but a wonderful portrait. I guess Sasha is right, you can learn just as much about a subject as you can the person who took the photograph.
If I could give this one a million stars, this book would deserve each one!

Bound to Burn by Paula Dombrowiak is book 4 in a 5-part interconnecting Blood and Bone rockstar series. Bound to Burn has a raw edge that feels real and is not just another rock star story out in cyberspace. It is best to read the previous three books in the series to feel the full impact of the tale Bound to Burn. Their band members were forged together with love and friendship before their lives imploded with lust, addiction, and betrayal, which ended the band. This book is about the bass player Cash’s story after the fallout, the aftermath of the band breakup, and how one girl changes his life from merely existing to learning to live again. Paula Dombrowiak has a way with words that is a delightful read, and I ended up highlighting many sections of the book from the treasures I found like:
“Love has a way of burning through like poison (Location130):
“…it’s not how a story ends but everything that happens in-between that matters the most (location 1337).”
Or “I can tell as much about the person taking the picture as I can about the person in the picture. The camera is a two-way mirror and takes as much as it gives (location178).
Cash and Sasha’s love story has twists and turns that one does not see coming but completes the story beautifully. I recommend Paula Dombrowaik’s rockstar book series to all who want an honest band portrayal vs. a fluffy make-believe reading! Having read Blood and Bone, Breath To Bear, and Bonds We Break i couldn't wait for more from this author and series! Ever since this book was announced i've been looking so forward to it! I picked it up as soon as i could and got right back into this series! I really enjoyed this fourth book!
I was so happy that Cash was getting his very own book!
Cash and Sasha's journey pulled me in right from the very get go! When Cash hires photographer Sasha to help at his record store, their attraction becomes hard to ignore. Can Cash and Sasha take a chance on their hearts? Or is it not worth the pain?
I was so glad that i got to dig into Cash and Sasha's minds and peel back their layers. Every bit with these two, i so felt! From the realness to heat to all the feels, these two had me going through many emotions throughout. I related to both characters, especially Cash and how guarded he was. Sasha and her passion for photography was something i so admired. The chemistry between these two was undeniable!
Sometimes people can come into our lives and change everything in a single moment. This story showed that and more.
It was awesome jumping back into this series!
With Bound To Burn, Ms.Dombrowiak has created such a great read that packed all kinds of feels! Her writing demands your attention. I can't wait for more from this author! If you haven't checked out this unique rockstar series, you so need to! 💗

Her writing is powerful, poignant, raw, truthful, insightful, heartbreaking, sexy...I have laughed and cried with these characters and I could not be more amazed about how Cash and Sasha found their happily ever after. Cash, my wonderfully grumpy, sexy, selfless bass player. Sasha, my wonderfully joyful, intelligent, passionate, wise beyond her years photojournalist, who had fate and a little bit of luck, carry her to a destiny she never imagined.
I have felt every word of their story. Sometimes, despite being closed off, hurt, and withdrawn, life has a way of snapping us back into sync, even when we don't want it or are not prepared for it. What a beautifully written story of letting go of the past in order to walk head on into a future that's greater than the ine you have imagined for yourself.
Cash and Sasha are just A•MA•ZING!!! Facing our demons is not easy, until we find the person we would risk everything for. Sasha taught him that love is the ultimate freeing power and trust is shown with every detail. Cash taught her how when the right woman comes along, a man will stop at nothing to make her happy.

Wow! What a story, book and great addition to this fantastic series. That started with a book I took a chance a on by a debut author. Paula Dombrowiak proves she has the words and heart to stand side by side with the best in the business. As this series has developed it has become stronger, which is unbelievable considering how good the first book was. Now back to this book.
Through the series to date Cash has been a huge part and was part of the mess that was Him, Mia and Jack. Cash was left devastated in the wake of what they were. He has been left guarded, cold and has a need to protect what left of his heart that is more than broken. When a little ball of trouble comes into his world in the shape of Sasha, he can't seem to stop fate from playing with his heart again.
This story is a fated love affair that no matter what Cash does he can't run from it. Sasha is a different kind of woman to what Cash is used to but what a woman she is. She has so many special qualities and is selfless in every part.of her life.
I really can't speak of the ins and outs of the story, as that will make it impossible not to spoil it. Just know it's emotional, romantic and a love story that Cash completely deserves. As I've stated above, it's a great read and I totally recommend this and series as well. It's one of my favourite series I've read for a while.

“Fate has a way of f*cking with me and Sasha was the greatest curveball of my life in more ways than one.”
I went in blind reading this book without reading the other three books first. This book has ALL my favorite tropes in them it is a slow burn, age gap, former musicians, grumpy/sunshine, and definately a happily ever after! The banter between Sash and Cash I enjoyed very much. Their heart-to-heart conversations were my absolute favorite. Heartache, drama, and comedy are wrapped up in this breathtakingly written story. I LOVED reading Cash's point of view chapters. My favorite scene is when Cash was explaining to Sasha the difference between a Les Paul and a Stratocaster. I also loved discovering new songs I did not know about. Bound to Burn has become my FAVORITE read of 2022!! Paula Dombrowiak has become one of my favorite authors. I don't have any words to describe how much I love EVERYTHING about this book!! I'm definately going to go back and read the first book of the series. I 100% recommend this to everyone!!

Paula has once again delivered another home run right outta the ballpark with Bound To Burn the fourth installment in her unforgettable and unputdownable Blood and Bone Series) I honestly did not think it was when even possible for this awesome series to get any better but I was so wrong . Don’t get me wrong each book and each couple is so unique and likable and relatable that you really can’t help but fall in love . But something about both Cash and Sasha’s characters just pulled me in like a magnet . Age gap , grumpy sunshine, rockstar romance , angst , humor , witty banter , steamy, family , friendships, loss , grief, betrayal, unexpected surprises, heartbreaking, heartfelt, secrets, second chances , emotional rollercoaster and simply perfection. It’s not often I come across a series or author that has the ability to captivate me quite the way Paula’s books do . Every time I pick up one of her books I know it’s going to be a very long night or reading , but it’s always so worth the sleep I lose

Sasha is spending the summer helping her grandparents with the their farm before she heads off to UCLA. She also wants a part time job. When she meets Cash through Erin at a music festival she gets herself a job at his record shop.
Cash doesn’t know how he got wrapped into letting a 23 year old blond who knows nothing about music help in his record shop but it might have something to do with those glittery pink converses.
I am obsessed with this series! Paula has really brought these characters to life. This book makes you laugh and want to cry depending on the chapter. I love that we are showing the progress of Cash falling back in love after all the heart ache we felt with Mia and him. We get some more back story with their story. I love that Cash gets a happy ending in the way I didn’t see coming. I was into this story by the first chapter. I feel very invested in every single one of these characters and their story.

Cash and Sasha's story was so good. I thought I knew what was going to happen, but I was wrong. Which I'm perfectly okay with.
Bound to Burn was definitely a different vibe than Jack's story, or even Mia's. This one wasn't as heavy. Yet there was still that moment of healing, and accepting that a future can be had even if it isn't with the same person.
