Twenty-seven-year-old Erin Cavanaugh's future seems set in place, with a flat of her own and a partnership at an industrial architecture firm in Cork, Ireland. Enter the not-so-certain future of her twelve-year-old half-sister, Olivia, though, whose mother has recently passed away, and Erin finds her world flipped on its head, as she suddenly must take charge of the girl. With neither one quite believing that they are truly related, they set out across the Emerald Isle in search of Olivia's biological father. Along their zigzagging road trip, the pair soon begin to realise that, sometimes you need to leave your comfort zone in order to discover who you are.
Marie Weiler has wanted to be a novelist from the time she was ten years old. Inspired by the Irish literature and folklore that had played such a huge role in developing her extensive imagination as a girl, beginning in the fall of 2016, she spent the next year and a half writing her debut novel Olivia.
She is also the author of The Feast of the Elves & Trolls, and Big Trouble in Little Chicago. If she isn’t writing, you could probably catch her reading, gaming, or filmmaking. Marie was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada, where she still resides with her family and dog, Jiro.
