Gigi and Tanner did not meet under the best situation. Gig had just found out that her boyfriend was cheating on her, but that did not stop her from finding comfort in the arms of Tanner. Months later that interacting stayed with both of them. When Gigi, an at home nurse, has a patient in the same town she wish to forget, she never expected to trip over Tanner. Now Tanner is a hot mess. His time in service has done a number on him, but with the poking of his Aunt and seeing Gigi again forces him to make things right again.

Tanner and Gigi's story will tug at your heart, it is not all rainbows and sunshine. But they love and feelings they share will warm your heart and bring a tear to your eye.

Emmett took his girlfriend, Gigi to a New Year’s party where she knew no one and was very uncomfortable being there. He kept his nose in his cell phone the entire time. When she complained and asked him to introduce her to a few people, he said he was bidding in an auction for a huge gift for her. Then a huge guy with a beard came over, hugged him and dragged him elsewhere, leaving her alone. Emmett had put his cell phone on a table and it buzzed constantly. She finally looked at the screen to see his sexy texts with “Olivia”. He is a liar and a cheater. Emmett returns, looking for his cell phone as she drops it on the floor and it shatters. He laughs when she tells him to leave because she is the designated driver and he needs her to get him home! Before she can lose it completely, arms go around her waist and a calming voice leads her outside to the porch, wrapping her in a blanket and handing her a cup of tea with brandy in it. She hasn’t even seen the kind man’s face yet. But she is crushed, and she needs to feel desirable. He is not her type at all, huge, strong, hair and beard needing grooming. But she needs him and she asks him to come on an adventure with her. His body shows that he understands what she wants.

Tanner is out of the military, but he’s left with a back injury and PTSD. His older neighbor next door is like family to him, and she’s trying to get him to take better care of himself. He goes over to fix her clogged sink and his thoughts turn again to the woman he met then lost on New Year’s.

Gigi accepted an assignment for a new in-home cancer patient before she looked at the address. She never wanted to go there again. She is trying to find a place to park and notices the run-down look of the neighbor’s home, immediately thinking of mental health issues. With a huge bag of groceries, her medical bag and purse, and a ton of things she can’t see over, she makes it to the back door and steps inside, immediately tripping over something and dropping the groceries. The man comes out from under the sink, head bleeding and shock on his face as she gazes into the most beautiful blue eyes – the ones she last saw on New Year’s Eve!

I loved this story line. Tanner was the kind man who helped Gigi get through her painful discovery about her cheating boyfriend. Tanner helps her, falls for her, and she is gone before they even exchange names. Will being Mavis’ nurse give Tanner and Gigi a second chance to help each other and perhaps find a relationship that will last? Wonderful characters and so much love! Grab this heartwarming story and see if a worthy man can care again and begin to actually enjoy life.

Gigi found out her boyfriend was cheating at a New Year’s Eve party and ends up in a one night stand with a stranger she then walks out on. Gigi is home cancer nurse and literally trips over this stranger at a client’s house. Tanner has retired from the military and was helping his elderly neighbor with her plumbing when he saw Gigi again. He is somewhat unkempt with long hair and a scruffy beard and suffers from PTSD. She feels guilty about running out on him and wants to apologize but he tries to avoid her. She tells him about a charity run she is helping to organize for the children’s cancer hospital and he secretly gets involved. Can she help him with his PTSD and will their new friendship develop into deeper feelings?

This is a story where strangers meet and up helping each other and I give it 3.5 stars. Gigi was recovering from a broken heart when Tanner helped her and Gigi helped him with is PTSD. However, I thought things were too rushed in the story and I felt a little unclear about everything. The epilogue was a nice ending for their story.

This story tugged at my heart in how Tanner and his brother Mitch rallied to help Mavis in her fight with cancer. Tanner is a very good guy who first tires to help Gigi when she catches her boyfriend cheating on her but Gigi runs before getting to know him. When they meet again, this attraction is just as strong but this time it is acted on. When Mavis ends up in the hospital, Tanner is not going to do the Run for Cancer so he can be with Mavis but Gigi convinces him to in a very heart warming way. I liked how Tanner competes in the run and it is inspirational. I especially liked how Gigi and Tanner are together and plan to name one of their children after Mavis who had passed.

Tanner and Gigi meet at a NYE party after Gigi’s boyfriend breaks up with her. They have a ONS and Gigi takes off. Tanner is helping to fix his aunt Mavis’ house when the cancer nurse hired to give his aunt her treatments arrives and trips over him. Unbelievably it’s Gigi. Gigi is embarrassed by her actions and learns that Tanner is not who she believes him to be. This story was an emotional read with Tanner and his brother and what their family went through, their PTSD and how he promised to always look after Mavis. Gigi loved her job and was a caring person doing what ever she could to make the lives of her patients better. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

He may not be what she usually goes for but he is exactly what she needs

MELT MY HEART by Fern Fraser is part of the multi-author Stupid Cupid series just in time for some Valentine's Day fun. This is a charming and poignant story about Gigi and Tanner. You heart will hurt for Gigi at the beginning of this story as she has a boyfriend who definitely does not deserve her in any way. It is Tanner who shows Gigi just how desirable she is and how good someone can make her feel. But it was only for one night and neither expected to see each other again. But when they do cross paths, like right next door, they don't quite ride off in to the sunset. Nope that is going to take a sweet woman who is not above making them each recognize exactly how they feel.

I thought that this was a super sweet book. Gigi and Tanner meet unexpected at a part just after Gigi finds out that her long time boyfriend is cheating on her. Tanner is able to help her but then she runs away, never expecting to run into each other again. These two get a second chance after been "forced" together again and it is a sweet yet painful ride for these two. Both Tanner and Gigi gain some self confidence during this book. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Fern as a great author!

Gigi is in a town where she doesn’t know anyone with her boyfriend on New Year’s Eve. She catches him cheating on her and ends up in the arms of her gorgeous savior! Imagine her surprise when she sees him again at her patient’s house. She knows she messed up with him, but will he give her a second chance? Tanner fell for the beautiful woman he met at the party, but she ran off before he could get her name! He is shocked when she ends up at his neighbor’s house! He knows she’s his and he will do whatever it takes to make her his! Great book that I would highly recommend!

Tanner & Gigi
Let me start with OMG I loved this story! Tanner is medically retired from the military and suffering from PTSD. Gigi is an RN, specializing in home cancer treatment. They met briefly at a New Year's Eve party but didn't see each again until Gigi shows up to treat his neighbor. Their attraction was instant and their chemistry was palpable! This story highlights very real and very serious life challenges. I love the stories that highlight PTSD and the challenges our military face. They are all heros. I absolutely recommend reading this one. This story was well written. The characters are well developed and absolutely lovable.

I really liked this story. I was happy to see that while Gigi was acting a bit crazy with running away from Tanner, she came to realize she was being silly. The connection between these two was super sweet, with a little bit of heat thrown in. Tanner was seriously amazing. I loved his character so, so much. The story overall was sort of heartbreaking so it was a little sadder than I was expecting. It was my first time reading this author but I did really like the story and was a good add to the Stupid Cupid series.

Garden of Tranquility.
A heartwarming story. Tanner never forgot the curvy beauty he met NYE. Now she’s back for his auntie’s healthcare. Gigi thought she’d never return to this town but, here she is for a work assignment. Then she has a run in with Tanner, literally, and knows she has some things to clear up with him. All comes to a head when his auntie’s health deteriorates. All things considered, can they find a way to be happy? And what about Auntie? Welcome to Virginville.

This was sweet and at the same time heartbreaking. Tanner is a sweet lovable giant not dealing with his PTSD, but he takes the time to help others, just not himself. I loved his feisty neighbor who pushes him to be his true self before he served. Gigi is kind, but also embarrassed in how she behaved when they first met. It confused me a little as to why she never explained her actions coherently. Overall the ending was a bit heart wrenching but wonderfully done as life isn’t always fair.

A really lovely read. Gigi meets Tanner again, when she is visiting a patient. After having previously met him at a party and run off, Gigi knows she done wrong and feels the instant chemistry between them. Tanner however avoids Gigi, leaving her hurt. When Gigi’s patient receives bad news she has to inform Tanner, which brings them closer. I loved this short read, great characters, amazing chemistry and lots of love.

Tanner was ex military and living in Virginville, Pa that takes care of his aunt that has cancer. Gigi was a nurse that was dumped one night and left in Virginville, Pa then she had an anonymous night with Tanner a year ago and then left. After pining for each other Tanner and Gigi are reunited again through his aunt needing her services and their fast and fun romance continues as they stumble through awkward moments and trying to deny the love that is obviously there. This is the story of Gigi and Tanner. Gigi catches her boyfriend cheat on her on New Years Eve, and Tanner is there to help her and she is gone in the morning and Tanner is falling. Gigi takes a job and her and Tanner come face to face again. This is a cute cupid story. I loved Tanner and how he interacted with and took care of Gigi the night of New Years Eve. Gigi I could relate to. This is well written and just a fun enjoyable read.

Loved this story about Gigi and Tanner. Tanner is a hero in so many ways but for Gigi he’s the hero that changes her life. After an ugly breakup he is there for her. After she leaves him without a word he is still there for her. He’s not her usual type but that’s a good thing. The two of them together is such a great story.

A lot to like.

I was given an advance copy, unfortunately amazon never posted my review... so I'm trying again. I would recommend this story. Gigi wasn't really my kind of h, and I'm not really into the ons tropes, HOWEVER, Tanner made up for it. I really liked him and all he strived to accomplish. Even though I never completely warmed up to Gigi, it all worked out and I enjoyed the story overall!

Tender and simple, but moving

It's a short, cute romance that I really liked about the characters of Gigi and Tanner. They meet on a New Year's Day before Gigi disappears and ends up facing Tanner again a few weeks later.
It is a pity that the story is so short because it is moving without being tearful.

Fate, or Cupid, steps in again to help Gigi and Tanner find their love. One night leaves them thinking of each other and then bumping into each other seems like fate. They have amazing chemistry and I loved the shenanigans conspiring to get them together. It was sweet with some steam and lots funny at times.

I enjoyed this story with instant attraction, but also the realistic belief on both Tanner's and Gigi's behalf that the other did not like them. The care and love that they both show to Mavis as she is going through chemo is wonderfully written. Overall a fun, slightly twisty romance.
