I shouldn’t have called him . . . but I did.

Winnie

I called him in my darkest hour, the man who crushed my heart, and the man who still holds onto it.

I had two choices: call the cops, or call him . . . but there wasn’t much of a choice. He’d be the one to get to the bottom of this, and if I wanted any of what I lost back, he’d be the one to rip it from whoever stole it.

Ascher

Winnie called me up when her shop got vandalized and her life’s savings was stolen from her. She knew the police wouldn’t have anything to go on, so she called the one man who’d be able to find the people who did this to her.

I promised her I’d find whoever did it, that I’d make them pay, but the more time I spend around her the more I want her again. I already screwed shit up between us in the past, but I’m left asking myself this: can we bury the hatchet?

I don’t know if we can, but damn I sure as fuck hope we can try. I miss her more than I care to admit.

I am a wife, mother, child chauffeur and author. I love being able to create different characters and spin a web that makes them come together in the end. My books do not stick to just one genre, they span many.

I write about things that are real life situations and fairy tales are not always smooth sailing. My MC books are hard and gritty and they have struggles just like you would in life.

I also have books that are not so in your face. There are several that are good love stories that are fraught with issues that the characters have to deal with.

10 amazing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

ღ Ascher and Winnie

This story is one of a second chances at love. we learn that all it takes is one wrong move and your life can be turned upside down

Don't you just love it when two amazing authors collaborate on book

Winnie grew up on the rough side of the tracks, but she learned how to turn everything around in her life…

Yeah. Ascher & Winnie had a pass & yeah, He betrayed her trust in a way she never thought he would, and course there is tension in between them every time they see each other. specially since her bff is his sister-in-law……..lord how they still have so much unfinished business ……. Even after Ascher did what he did to Winnie, he was the first person she called after her shop was broken into …… And boy was her life turn upside down in his wake

Loving on Ascher (Now)

Maybe I didn’t love Ascher as much when he left his current girlfriend, Winnie, to give his first love a second chance. That blew up in his face and now knows he made a HUGE mistake leaving Winnie and Winnie had sworn him off for breaking her heart. It was hard for them because they did have to keep seeing each other since Winnie’s BFF is married to Ascher’s twin brother Phoenix.

When a life altering event happens to Winnie Ascher is the first one she calls when she’s falling apart. Of course Ascher would like nothing better than to help her anyway he can. Wait until Ascher realizes that its part of his car crew that did this to Winnie.

I was drawn into this book right away and this became a “who done it” and a “will she give him a second chance” book. The women in this book are fierce and protective of their own and the men in their lives love them unconditionally. I have to say that the very best and most touching part for me was the relationship that Winnie had with her grandpa. I would definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait for more!!

I love Erin Trejo books. Through her, I discovered Elizabeth Knox and I am really enjoying her books. I absolutely love when they write books together, which is rare for me because I tend to find that I either like two authors together or separate, but not both. This is a really fun writing team.

Burnout is fast-paced, easy to read, and keeps your attention. I loved the characters and enjoyed how the story moves and isn't drawn out with excess that's just there for word count sake. This is a great story of a second chance, a chance for redemption, and best of all an alpha protector.

Trigger- mention of rape.
I don’t know if it’s meant to be read in order since it took until half way to explain why Ashcher and Winnie had a falling out but before she kept talking about how she can’t trust him and he destroyed her in what he did... it involves his past. Plus I didn’t know Ashcher is actually the leader on a racing car club and not a M.C. like his twin brother is the leader of. My advice is to read in order to get the maximum benefit of knowing what’s going on.

I am walking into this series a little late in the game. I haven't read the first two books. The author did a good job providing enough of the background information to help the story along. Winnie is a strong woman that has made it in the world despite life's roadblocks. Asher is a strong-willed alpha kind of guy. Asher's twin brother is married to Winnie's best friend. Asher and Winnie met through them. Asher leads a car club and his brother leads a motorcycle club. The two clubs are friendly toward each other and do activities together that involve legal and illegal stuff. The author does not explain what the illegal stuff is but we do get to find out what some of that entails later in the story.

Winnie's car detailing business is broken into, vandalized, and all her inventory is stolen. In her panic and desperation, she calls Asher for help because she knows he's the only one who can really help her. At the time, Winnie and Asher are not on good terms with each other. They had been a couple for a while but Asher messed up their relationship and lost Winnie's trust and friendship. Having been given the chance to be in her life again, Asher does all he can to win her trust back because he knows she is "the one" and does not want to lose her again. Winnie's reluctance to get back together when the opportunity arises is justifiable and understandable but she is willing to give the guy a second chance. Their HEA happens slow and steady throughout the story.

Asher is eventually able to solve the break-in mystery. The part that got my attention was how the MC club and the car club "took care" of problem people. You could say that Asher is an anti-hero like the Marvel Comics Venom character and Winnie is a little like DC's Harley Quinn (a little unstable and murdery). But it's OK... they were all bad people. :)

Ascher and Winnie had a thing until Ascher royally messed up big time, but with Aschers twin brother Phoenix being the father to Winnies best friend Kenna's baby they cant avoid each other forever. When a group of masked vandal start terrorising the neighbourhood, they hit Winnies shop hard, her shop was life and just like that it was all gone and she only had one person she could turn to for help, Ascher. No matter what Ascher still cared deeply for Winnie and would do anything to keep her safe. But can she give him a second chance? This is a well written steamy short insta loving hot second chance romance a great addition to the series!

Ascher and Winnie have a history and because of his, he ended up hurting her.

Now she needs his help. Between broken glass and a broken heart what is a woman to do?

The mystery is who broke into her business and robbed her? She's entrusting Ascher to be judge and jury when it comes to her business but can she see that he's trying to clean up more than the mess she can see, that he wants another chance to make it right?

Dynamic duo delivers a book that anyone who has loved and hurt will relate to. Characters that I had so much fun getting to know. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Sadly I missed the first 2 books of the series as would have loved to know more about the twins history.

Interesting ride or die relationships in here and the importance of having a best friend that is there for you in thick or thin.

Second chance that ends all other doubts as Winnie gets her ultimate payback on Angela was out of this world.

Ascher is a racer, who owns a parts store and runs a car club. He knows he screwed up walking away from Whinnie in the past, he's determined to fix his mistakes if she'll give him the chance.
Whinnie runs her own custom detailing shop. She's had a rough past and doesn't know if she can trust Ascher with her heart again.

When Whinnie's shop is broken into and everything was either stolen or destroyed she called Ascher. Her shop was her life and despite their past she called him for help. Ascher is determined to help Whinnie get back on her feet and find whoever was behind it all, while trying to win Whinnie back.

This story was mostly about Ascher winning back his girl. While the auto club and racing gets a few nods and some gratuitous violent scenes, the focus is mostly at Whinnie's shop and multiple visit's to Ascher's brother's MC club.

There's very little depth to this story, it never really delves deep into any part of the storyline. It stutters from scene to scene, with some scenes leaving me to wonder why that set of scenes was even included in the story and ends abruptly. Except in the bedroom we rarely see the characters together as a couple.

This story had potential but implementation didn't work for me.

Burnout (Full Throttle#3) by Erin Trejo and Elizabeth Knox is a second chance at love romance story between Ascher and Winnie who will reconnect by a turn of events. Ascher knows he messed up all chances with Winnie when he left her for another try with his ex, which did not end well. Now he wants Winnie back into his life, but Winnie was left broken hearted and swore she wants no part of him. These two will soon be thrown together by the birth of Ascher's niece as Winnie is best friends with Phoenix's wife Kenna. Now Ascher and Phoenix are trying to get close again with the help from Kenna can these twin brothers finally form a long awaited relationship? When Ascher confesses to his brother that he destroyed everything with Winnie he is told to not mess things up again or he will have to deal with Kenna. Winnie is this feisty sexy woman who owns her own body detail shop which she has put her life savings into. When a group of masked men start stealing and vandalizing property in the neighborhood, the unthinkable happens when her shop is targeted. Winnie is devastated when she arrives and sees her shop destroyed and all of her merchandise taken, shaken she calls the one person who she knows she shouldn't, Ascher. Now Ascher is rushing to get to Winnie in time as he knows that he loves her still and is racing to protect her. Upon arriving Ascher finds Winnie frightened and hysterical as he comforts her, he calls his men to help clean up the mess and vows to make these men pay. Will this be the opportunity for Asher and Winnie to reunite? Will Winnie concede as she still loves Ascher, we she let go of the pain he caused her? As they are cleaning up her shop, Winnie is upset and angry due to her financial situation wondering how will she get her shop back running so she starts to drink. When Ascher goes to check on her, he finds she is drunk when she throws herself at him and tells him she wants to be with him. Now these two will give into all of the passion and desire between them that can no longer be denied, will Winnie forgive Ascher and try again? With the help from his brother's MC club and Ascher's Car club they will join forces to help Winnie get her business up and running as well as do all they can to help find the gang behind these break ins and make them pay. As Ascher and Winnie realize they are meant to be together, it seems that the culprits reeking havoc in the neighborhood maybe tied to Ascher and now all hell is about to break as developments unfold and justice will be served. This was a fast paced, passionate second chance at love romance story, one that will pull you in from beginning to end. This is one story that is a must read! Thank you Erin and Elizabeth, once again you ladies have done an amazing collaboration with this series.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and who to like and dislike, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
(Believe me when I say you won’t put it down until the last page is read…you will find yourself getting upset cause someone called, texted or bothered you while reading this one, you will find yourself up at ungodly hours just to finish it knowing you have work early the very next day) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
I didn’t read the other books prior to this one but have since bought them however, this does read as a standalone. Winnie is a strong, feisty and didn’t let life’s lemon stop her she actually made lemonade with them. Sexy as all get out alpha Asher is a hot mess to sum it up but a sexy hot mess 😊he and Winnie met through her sister and his twin brother right from the start the chemistry /attraction levels were off the charts and so they start to getting to know each and even get to the point where they are together that is until Asher does something stupid destroying their friendship and her trust. Both twins are into some type of club he has a car club and his twin a motorcycle club. The two clubs get along with each other members each hanging out with one another. Winnie has a car detailing business one night it is broken into and everything is stolen her instinct is to call the police but knows nothing will come of it she really hates to the one person she knows will help so she calls Asher for help knowing he will get to the bottom of it sooner than the police and possibly get her inventory back. Knowing he messed up he jumps at the chance to try and fix the mess he created, to just be in her life if only for a moment because he knows his life isn’t /won’t be complete without Winnie in it she is the one for him and doesn’t want to life without her. So, questions will Asher’s club and the motorcycle club get to the bottom of who broke into her shop, will they stop them from doing it again, will they find out why they broke into her shop, will Winnie forgive Asher, will Asher get that second chance he needs to prove she is the one for him and will they find happiness?

This is the story of Winnie and Ascher, a couple who was once happy and in love until Ascher screwed up and broke Winnie’s heart.
Now months later, Winnie’s shop is robbed and asks Ascher for help.
He leaves everything to help her, he even sends her his own clients to help her get out of the hole, while he finds the culprit with the help of his brother Phoenix.
Ascher wants to get back with Winnie since he realized that she is the one for him, but she needs time to trust him again, so he will have to work very hard and be the man she deserves.
Action, revenge and passion await you in this book.

“You’re my fuckin’ future. At least, I hope you are. Fuck, I’m not gonna be so dumb to make the same mistake twice. You’re it for me.” My hands begin to shake as his words sink in. “You fucked us up, Ascher. You’re the one who ruined things, so don’t stand here and act like things can be mended between us. You chose to fuckin’ leave! To give up on everything we had!”“I know I did, and I’m right here tellin’ you how bad I fucked up. Dammit, Winnie!” Ascher slams his fist down on his car, hard enough the damn thing starts blaring. “Fuck!” he curses, grabbing his keys, he presses the button to stop it from continuing then looks back over to me. “Can’t you see I know what I did?” “Oh, do you? Do you know what you did?” I snarl, walking straight up to him, I push on his chest hard and he ends up taking a couple steps back. “You made me out to be a fool.” I push on his chest again. “You made me hate giving you my heart.” I push on his chest again. “You made me regret ever giving you a chance in the first place. You made me hate loving you!” I slam my fist against his chest. “You made me hate everything about us.” Tears threaten to spill as I keep slamming my fists against his chest.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Burnout by Elizabeth Knox and Erin Trejo is book 3 in the Fill Throttle series. This is Ascher's and Winnie's second chance story. Ascher messed up and he knows it. He broke Winnie's heart and then realized too late she was his one. Winnie's best friend, Kenna is the wife of Ascher's twin, Phoenix. Ascher sees Winnie a lot. He has been trying to figure out how to make it right with her. When Winnie's shop is broken into and everything destroyed Ascher is the person she calls. He drops everything to be with her. Will he get his girl back?

Everything about Ascher is intense. He can be downright brutal, especially to anyone who hurts those he loves. Winnie has an attitude. She grew up in a rough area and has a history with a horrible boyfriend before Ascher. This makes her a tough cookie but afraid to give Ascher another try. The air around Ascher and Winnie is charged. This couple seem to d it each other. Ascher learned his lesson and is putting everything out there to prove he loves Winnie.

The story moves quickly setting the action. My one complaint is that the mystery behind the break in of Winnie's store seemed to be solved too easily and quickly. Ascher is a brutal person and has no problem using a gun to solve his problems. Not that I am justifying violence but it is Ascher's way of dealing with the bad things that happen. If the world around him was better than he would be nicer but it isn't.

Winnie is just trying to make her way on her own steam without having to lean on her friends and family for help. She is brave and strong, but even she crumbles at the wanton destruction of her shop and livelihood. She is devastated. Feeling all alone and without an anchor, Winnie calls the only other person, besides her bestie Kenna, that she thinks can help. Ascher... the man who destroyed her heart.

Ascher knows he hurt Winnie. He’s been trying to fix his mistake, but Winnie is of the opinion that once is the end of it when it comes to messing up. She won’t even look at him with a kind eye. Ascher still looks out for her, sending her custom work in her shop, looking into the reports of armed thieves in her neighborhood, and dropping everything to reach her when she calls him distraught at the wanton destruction of her hopes and dreams. One look at her, and Ascher is ready to move heaven and earth to fix this problem permanently.

While this book is a short read, the characters make the reading enjoyable. The interaction and fractious relationships that connect the main characters weave in a familial bond that is natural and heartwarming, even if they don’t see eye to eye. Erin Trejo and Elizabeth Knox have created a truly enjoyable experience in the Full Throttle series. I hope to be able to read many more books within this world they have imagined.

Steamy Second Chance Romance in the Sizzling Miami Heat
“Burnout” is the third Erin Trejo-Elizabeth Knox collaboration in the Full Throttle MC series, and it is as sultry and hot as its setting. Ascher is the ultimate bad boy – an alpha, an outlaw, an entrepreneur who is sexy, handsome, protective, and completely in love with the girl who personifies his biggest regret. When Asch walked away from her, Winnie was broken, but she did as she’s always done: she scooped herself up, dusted herself off, and went on being the beautiful badass businesswoman that she is despite being in a male-dominated Industry. It’s a story with some of the violence and angst that comes with an MC (and in this case, a car club as well), but at its heart is a second chance love story that has you rooting for them. Their chemistry and deep connection are evident throughout the story, and I found myself rooting for them as they navigated some pretty big issues to find their way back to each other to take another stab at an HEA. Loved the twists and turns and the undercurrent of danger as well! Seeing other characters from the series - like Winnie’s best friend, Kenna, and Ascher’s brother Phoenix – add background to the story and make It seem somehow more relatable, more grounded in reality. Loved the read so much that I need to go back and start at the beginning so I’ll be ready for Book 4 when it drops later this year!

I was not sure what to think about this book. I like the idea of there being a Car Club, and an MC. What I liked the most was Winnie. She owns her own shop where she does detailed, and custom bodywork. She is bold, confident, and guarded.

Archer owns a part store, and is owner of the car club. He made a mistake with Winnie and is trying to win her back. He comes across as tough, passionate, and in charge. What I like about Archer is that he is there when the time is right. This is a man who is loyal. He stands up for those he loves and respects.

Readers: this book did keep me engaged, and wanting to know what was going to happen next. I liked Winnie and Archer, and a few of the other characters. This book had the bones, but I felt it was lacking in detail. It pushed from incident to incident, and only went deep between the two main characters. All of the background, and issues that were discovered were done fast, without delving into the issue at hand. The ending still left me with questions.

Well we finally get Ascher and Winnie story and oh boy was it good. So Ascher no doubt messed up and you don't find out what he did til your about half way through the story and oh boy was it just wrong on all kinds of levels. So of course he knows that he was wrong for what he done and is determined to make it right. Now the question becomes how is he going to do it. Then the opportunity comes but at the expense of Winnie livelihoods. So Winnie does not want to talk or see Ascher at the moment. She is not over what has happened and I don't blame her. But when something happens that effects her, the only person she can think of is Ascher to call. So while they are trying to figure out who is the culprits, the pull with Ascher and Winnie sparks up again. Can they solve the mystery and work their way back to each other. We get a lot of emotions and a happy ending. It is the perfect mix of action, steam and the push/pull of chemistry. I am totally loving this series. I cannot wait to read more.

I have a lot of Elizabeth Knox books in my library. She's an incredible author. But when she tag teams with Erin Trejo, they're explosive. Whew, it's like...get a carafe of wine, a cheese plate and settle in. You're not even going to stop reading long enough to pour. So you might as well slap one of those extra long silly straws in there and plan for your family to fend for themselves. Cause for as long as this book takes you'll look like you're comatose. Winnie is a tough girl, life hasn't been easy. But there's one guy in her past that had her whole heart and broke it, Ascher. Asher would give anything to be back with Winnie. When Winnie's shop is broken into and her life savings is stolen, she knows the police won't help. The only one who will find out who did this is Ascher. She doesn't have a choice, she needs his help, she has to ask him.
What a incredible series. But don't start on this book, I mean why take a taste of your of your favorite dessert when you can have a full serving? If you want to read a book you can't put down, you have to pick it up first.

Great characters, great plot potential. I love Erin's books, never feel let down by them but sadly this one I feel was influenced slightly to much by the other author. I've read several of her books and had the same reaction, lots of potential but not executed therefore letting down a story that could be 5 star. This felt rushed and scrapped together, I get that it's a short story but honestly if you are going to have twists and various things going on then you need to give it the justice it deserves. I was looking forward to to reading this after the ending of the first book, I wanted the emotion and connection with the characters, but I don't feel I got it. Every conversation or scene felt cut short, scimpt on. This was so basic and not at all the style I'm used to from an Erin book. I have to say it's the last time I will read any of the other authors work even if it's with one of my favourite's. It was an ok read but could have been wonderful. Started 5/4/21 Finished 5/4/21

These two authors are doing such a fantastic job with series. I love the storylines and the characters. This is a second chance romance with Ascher and Winnie. I just love Ascher and what he is willing to do to get Winnie to forgive and trust him again. When her shop is broken into. Ascher promises her he will find out who did it and wants to help her out. Winnie is a very independent woman and wants to do everything herself. She needs to realize that just because you ask for help, does not mean you are weak or incapable of doing what needs to be done. The tension between Ascher and Winnie is so taut, that when it snaps, it gets hot. I do like how Ascher and his brother Phoenix are getting to be brothers again. Ascher not only has the guys on his crew, but Phoenix and his MC will back him up. This is such a great story. Will Ascher get who he wants?

This is the third book in the series. It is Winnie and Ascher's story. These two have a past and it was not an easy one. They are both very independent and stubborn. Winnie is not one to ask for help nor does she forget or forgive. Ascher has his own demons he is dealing with and he wants to win her back. Is that possible? Can she trust her instincts? What will it take to give him a second chance? Who wants to destroy Winnie and Ascher? Is it an old enemy or a new one? You need to check out this book and find the answers to these questions. I loved the book and highly recommend it! I read it in one sitting! Fast paced, full of action and danger. Chemistry and desire that could melt your kindle. So worth my time and lost sleep! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book from the author. I can not wait to read the next book!

This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Ascher and Winnie’s story. Ascher and Winnie were a couple for a little while until he messed up and went back to his ex for another chance, leaving her heartbroken. When Winnie’s shop is target and vandalised with her life savings stolen, she calls Ascher for her as the police would not be mush help. Ascher knows that he messed up big time and it did not take him long to figure out that Winnie was the girl for him, but he lost her trust and friendship, and now that he wants a 2nd chance, it may be too late, as she is understandably wary. This is a well written fast paced, quick read story, which is intriguing, intense, and with suspense, danger, passion, and love. I look forward to reading more from this dynamic duo and I highly recommend their work for all.

Winnie is a strong woman who owns her own car detailing business. Ascher is the leader of a car club. They have a past but it didn't work out. When Winnie's business is vandalized and robbed she doesn't go to the cops she goes to Ascher. He promises her that he will get to the bottom of it and find out who robbed her. The more time that he spends with Winnie he realizes that he still loves her and wants her back. Trouble is having had her heart broken a few times one by Ascher she is hesitant to give him another shot.
I like the way this book moves...it is a good read with lots of drama and Ascher and Winnie have good chemistry. I like the interactions with Ascher's brothers mc club and the side characters. I will definitely be reading future books in this series.

Ascher and Winnie are amazing! Could not put this book down. Can be read alone but so much better to have read book one! You learn a lot about Ascher and his twin brother Phoenix’s relationship from book one. Ascher screwed up big time with Winnie and he has now seen the error of his ways. He will do anything for one more chance with her, but things keep getting in the way. Winnie loves Ascher but won’t be made a fool of, her pride won’t allow for that. Can Ascher finally get it right and get the girl? Will Winnie get out of her head and allow her heart to lead? Hurry up and and read this book and find out! So much action and steaminess! Wow!

In this third book of the Full Throttle M/C series, club President Phoenix and wife Kenna had baby girl, and at hospital they discovered that Phoenix's twin brother Ascher had an affair, which ended, with Kenna's bestie Winnie. Ascher and Winnie got along since both into cars, as he ran race crew and shop and she had shop for high-end rims, stereos and paint/decals, but broke up well before the baby. Ascher was sorry for the breakup and wanted to get back with Winnie but she wouldn't give him the time of day...so he had to wait and hope...but there was trouble in her neighborhood and Ascher had the chance to come to her aid...but you will need to read this pulse-racing story to see what happens...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
