FIVE MESSED UP STARS for Pandora and Dexter 💞!!!

This is the first book I've read by Betti Rosewood and I was really surprised by this book because it wasn't anything I expected.

I needed to take sleep before writing this review because my feelings were so mixed and they still are.

"A Hurt So Sweet" is also the first book this year I've read in only one day.

The storyline is very good and it made me turning pages si fast only because I was so hungry to find out what will happen next.

Before you start reading this book, you have to know that this is truly a dark book.

It wasn't similar to any book that I've read before and I read so many dark high school romance.

So, you know what I am talking about.

My heart was so heartbroken for Pandora 😭.

And still, it is.

There were so many times that I wanted to go into the book and protected her from Dexter and his friends.

Usually, I love the main male character, no matter, how cruel he is, because in some time in the book, he changes.

But this didn't happen here.

There were several times that I started to like Dexter, but as fast they came that fast ended.

So, I really hope that in the second book he will somehow change and I'll find out why he was like that, so cruel...

Pandora's and Dexter's relationship isn't romantic. They are forced to marry.

To be together.

But yeah, you can feel that there is some attraction.

Only that, because...

...they don't love each other 💔.

And the end 😱😱😱!

I need to know what was Dexter going to say Pandora 😵!

If you're looking for a romance with truly dark content, this is a perfect book for you and you need to read it immediately!

The first book from this series ended up with a cliffhanger and I couldn't wait to read the next book 😍!

"A Hurt So Sweet: Volume Two" is much darker and twisted from the first book but there was something in that book, that kept my attention and I couldn't put the book down.

Pandora finally stopped to be only a naïve 17 years old girl who is afraid and doesn't know take stand for herself but after that, she made one big mistake and believed to a person who betrayed her in the worst way possible.

I didn't like Dexter in the previous book but now, when I found out why he is doing what is he doing, I can understand him because sometimes revenge is stronger than anything and it can control our actions.

This book also ended up with a cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next book.

I need to know what will happen to Pandora and Dexter 😱!!!

Everything I thought I knew about them so far in this book turned out to be completely wrong.

Pandora is far from a naïve girl who finds herself in an unwanted environment.

Now, she is ready to fight for herself and take revenge on everyone who harassed her every day.

Dexter, on the other hand, has begun to show feelings for Pandora even though he is still fighting them.

What totally surprised me was the very ending which of course ended with a cliffhanger.

I need to know what will happen to Pandora and Dexter right now 😱😱😱!!!

"A Hurt So Sweet: Volume Four" is extra darker and twisted, unlike the previous three books.

This book kept my attention from page one and I couldn't put the book down because all secrets were finally revealed.

Pandora and Dexter have changed a lot since the first book but they still stayed so complex characters.

From the beginning, Pandora experienced both psychological and physical violence.

And no matter how hard she tried to be strong in this book, it was especially difficult because she no longer thought about her own well-being but about the unborn child.

Dexter has experienced numerous ups and downs throughout the series and changing has shown that behind the violent facade there is a person with a heart that has been broken in the most brutal way in the past.

The end completely thrilled me because Pandora and Dexter got the end they deserved.

If you loved previous books from this series and you also love Isabella's writing style, then this is a book for you!!!

Highly recommended!!!

I can’t believe I finally had a chance to read Minnie and Brazen’s love story!

I loved how Isabella finished the whole story of Eden Falls with this novella, but I wish it was a little longer after all.

Minnie and Brazen are two characters we met right away in the first book in the “A Hurt So Sweet” series and their love story was doomed from the start.

But thanks to Brazen’s bravery, in this novella, their love story got its new twist and ending what Minnie and Brazen deserve.

If you're loved the previous books from "A Hurt So Sweet" and you also love Isabella's writing style, then this is the book for you!!!

An intense read, 4 very well-written books with a very good storyline, 4 dark books on my taste with a different unique plot. I couldn't put the books down. The volume of the dark is progressive, growing in intensity from book 1 to book 4.

Through the books, I had my theories, but clearly, they were wrong. Very, very, wrong. Nothing turned out to be the way I thought and expected.

The first 3 books, book 1, 2, 3 ends in cliffhangers. Book 4 ends with the HEA that Dexter and Pandora deserve, and where all the secrets are revealed.

This box set also contains a novella, An Ache so Tender which is Minnie and Brazen's story.

So... If you are a dark romance lover and want to read something dark, very good and intense, full of steam, this box set will be perfect for you.

Honestly disappointed because there's a lot more better dark reads out there. I read this author's book (Adrian's vengeance) and I LOVED it. She definitely has the capacity to write emotional, intense powerful dark romances. And I think she should stick to the recipe she used here. Cause this series was???

It had no proper character development... I didn't like any of the characters, as in none of them... the storyline consisted of so much sex and in fact, book 4 was the best cause I felt like there was more storyline happening. Otherwise, the first 3 books for me were 'hmm, what other degrading humiliating things can Pandora go through?'

This has no character depth. Every one of the characters in this book are so unrealistic in terms of emotions, actions or having a brain so it was hard to connect to any of them, and hence the story.

Pandora was so wanton and got wet at anyone touching her, she did sexual things with every single guy in this novel... besides her dad (thank god). She wasn't strong at all. Dex humiliated, degraded and continuously shares her (Which she doesn't mind anyways). As in she LOVES it. I don't mind when my females like being degraded in bed, but they degraded her throughout the first 3 books. And she loved it. But it was continuously that... she never stood up to herself ... for the first 3 books, she promised and swore she'd get all of them back. But in the end, they all end up one big happy family.

Her wanton behavior was too much. Smut was used so much that the storyline, depth, character development didn't have space here. Even when she's in a coma, after something DESPICABLY HORRIBLE happens to her, she dreams of getting wet and horny with Dex.

This was very much a contrast to the book I read of hers (Adrian's vengeance).

I'm not going to carry on with the books... it could be for you if you like meaningless, depthless but smutty and action filled storylines which don't necessarily make sense.

I like a little more depth to my stories.

2 stars cause the side story with Lily Anne was good.... I actually wish this storyline was written by another author who could've made it more deep and meaningful. And it started good. And book 4 was a little better.

If you want to know specifics about safety, not safe at all. He gets BJs from his side chick in the beginning of book 1 (i think once?) and she sleeps with all 4 main guys (sex and all) and sucks more D's out there (she loves it of course). No sharing with OW.

I am totally on the fence with this book, this is one twisted demented ride and I was quite sickened at times - lots of triggers for sensitive readers. I was hoping for so much more than the demeaning hateful and disgusting treatment Pandora suffers. I was hoping for a stronger female lead, I can't believe she just takes it all and lets everyone treat and talk to her that way. There was no mention or the warning in the blurb about the sick twisted stuff Dex and his friends Eastin, Caspian and Julian do to her, she does not even know who is the father of her baby. Lots of abuse dished out because people believed they were above other people, even a hint at incest. I did not feel that Dex redeemed himself or any of his friends.

This is unlike any other bully book I have read and the public humiliations she suffers and sex in front of an audience was so not my scene. I hated the fact that he refers to her as "toy" even after they form a relationship, and he realizes he loves her he still wants to humiliate her publicly. I found him calling her toy and making her say she is his toy, naked and on her knees in front of the town's men disrespectful. and demeaning and this is after he supposedly loves her. I have read this author before but this one just fell short for me.

Pandora is weak and pathetic, like the weakest I have ever read in a bully series. Her comebacks are “fuck yous” to anyone who treats her bad 🙄 like how about fight back. She’s been raped and used by dex and his friends. Her dad even humiliates her. This is not a romance bully series. I don’t understand how she falls for dex. Not realistic at all. He showed no love to her at all, so I don’t see how she ends up falling for him. Dex raped her and sexual assaults her almost every time. He doesn’t even call her by her name. He calls her toy. Then he gives up everything for her. Like wth. This book is silly. I love a good romance bully series, but this book was over the top bullying and dex nor Pandora have no chemistry. This book was disgusting.

Holy wow! That was an intense read!
The drama, the intensity, the chaos made for a breathtaking, and anticipated read.
I was not expecting this story with the angst and atrocities and WOW!
Bettie Rosewood this story just made me grasp and hang on for the ride!
Volume 2
Absolutely flawless!
I thoroughly and jaw droppingly am enjoying this series.
Pandora, such an naïve innocent young lady, but she is catching on to the tricks of these Firstborn's of Eden Mills. But will it be enough?
And Dexter, I want to hug him for his protection of one person, and smack him for his treatment of another. He makes my moods swing so fast that I can hardly keep up!
And now Easton enters the picture, and WOW, just WOW, he may be worse than Dexter!
Volume 3
This series has been agonizing and sensational all at once!
Volume three was even better than the first two volumes, and that is not an easy feat!
Eden Mills is a place with unbelievable characters, and the residents are ruthless and callous. The Prep school students are cruel and brutal. But this makes for an interesting backdrop for the couple who are intended to be together but destined to be torn apart.

A sensational ending to an awesome series!

I was hoping for a stronger female lead after all what Pandora has been through.

I mean yes - she came through stronger despise all the horrific things she has been through the entire plot.. but wtf? I expected Pandora to grow a stronger backbone.. this was little weak.
It was annoying to see the female lead helpless most of the time..

In general - The story was intimidating and good .. It had me hyped.. However I felt it was also rushed and shallow at the end. Where were the siblings? The bonding? It was so poorly.. Almost too sad maybe it was all how it was supposed to be .. I don't care.. I just felt something was missing from the family front.. I loved how the stepmother stepped up at the end.. hands down.

It was very dark and twisted guys.. it doesn't bother me however personally I like the female lead stronger.

Wow ... just W.O.W!
This series is really totally something else ....
I've read Ms. Starling's books before, including those she wrote under her pseudonyms, and have always loved them. But this series takes dark, twisted and kinky to a whole new level!
I've never read about protagonists this effed up and a plot this dark ...

I have previously read all the individual volumes in this series, originally written under her pen name Rosewood, and always thought to myself, really every single time, that the next volume can't come fast enough!
Every single book is captivating from the first page and kept me hooked throughout this dark, sexy and twisted story. This series is addictive, and you won't be able to put it down once you’ve started reading because the suspense is a killer and the plot is so fast-paced and devilishly twisted that you will love and hate Ms. Starling at the same time.

Dexter and Pandora have quite a wild story. This box set contains all the story for this couple. Dexter and his friends were cruel and sadistic to Pandora. A dark intense read full of humiliation and darkness. A story full of triggers for some readers.

A HURT SO SWEET: VOLUME ONE
Pandora and Dex!
Going into the book, I had so many questions running through my mind right from the first page. It was deliciously dark and hot with a rollercoaster of emotions.
Learning a little bit about Pandora in another series by Isabella, I couldn’t wait to know more about her character and what she has gone through especially with her new family and life. I loved how stubborn and defiant she was, though I did feel that she gave in way too easily to Dex at times even though she swore to herself she wouldn’t (but I mean, who wouldn’t want to give in to Dex?!). I loved her interactions with the rest of the Firstborns especially with Dex’s friends - Julian, Caspian and Lai (those scenes were very hot even if they were all a-holes).
I would’ve loved more of a back story for both Dex and Pandora, being the first book, so I hope we get more of the it in the upcoming volumes. I also wished there were more chapters from Dex’s POV, I loved getting inside his head and knowing the amount of jealousy he had in him when it came to Pandora and some of the reasons he did what he’d done (and that secret he keeps at home?! I need more!).
I did feel like there were some gaps within the story where there wasn’t much of a plot at all so it was a bit up and down for me, and also where things were different to what was previously said/done. But nonetheless, I still loved and enjoyed the book very much

A HURT SO SWEET: VOLUME TWO
Another good read continuing this series.
This book was full of surprises and twists that blew my mind which I never saw coming. I loved finding out about some of the secrets to do with the Firstborns and the one Dex is is keeping?! OMG. Although I kind of had my suspicions it was still a shock to find out. I had so many questions going in, and now at the end, those questions have doubled and I’m dying to find out more about the people in Eden Falls.
I loved meeting Lily Anna in the beginning as a teenager and getting to know what she was like and how the rest of her family was with her. I quite enjoyed how stubborn and how much of a brat she was. I really liked the flashbacks to Dex and Lily Anna’s time together before and after everything happened to Dex and his family.
And Easton… OMG wasn’t he hot?! I loved everything about his character from the moment he appeared in the story including the not so nice side he has. I really enjoyed the interactions he had with other characters including Pandora and Dex, I loved the fight between him and Dex.
Pandora, on the other hand, was a little up and down for me throughout the book. I just found her to be so weak at times, she really needs to grow a little bit of a backbone and stand up for herself.
There were some very hot scenes between these characters and I can’t wait for more.
This end on another big cliffhanger that had me screaming but loving at the same time, I am beyond excited to see what happens in book 3.

A HURT SO SWEET: VOLUME THREE
A good (ish) continuation to the Elite of Eden Falls Prep series.
My heart just broke for Dex in this book, he has definitely become one of my favourite characters in this series. I loved the alpha side he has but also that vulnerable side he only shows to Pandora. I loved getting inside his head and seeing that caring side to him also. Pandora on the other hand, I really was not a fan of hers in this book. Even though she has her strong side at times and those little outbursts of defiance, which I loved, I just found her to be a bit weak. All this talk about revenge, making them all pay etc, but not doing much of anything about it, just bugged me a little. I would’ve loved to have seen some action on her part. I felt like there was a lot of emotional whiplash between Dex and Pandora.
I really enjoyed the other characters in the book also even if some of them are considered ‘villains’ and how vicious some of them could be - Easton, Caspian, Lai, Julian, her father and even Brazen. I loved the interactions they all had.
There were some scenes that were a little inconsistent from chapter to chapter and I felt like some chapters were a little fast forwarded, missing some parts that I would’ve loved to have known what happened there. But other than that I enjoyed the third book for the most part

A HURT SO SWEET: VOLUME FOUR
With the way book 3 ended I was so excited to get stuck into this one… and it was so good! Holy hell did this book give me all the feels.
My heart just broke for Pandora and Dex and everything that they’ve been put through especially Pandora at the hands of Lily Anna. I loved the way Pandora and Dex came back together and the no nonsense attitude Dex had when it came to her and everything around him. I’m so glad they got their happy ending.
Even though Lily Anna was insane, I loved the way she went about things with everyone around her. Though I did feel that Pandora was very naive when it came to her, I loved how she finally stood up for herself by the end.
Getting to the end, I was wishing that there was more! I had so many questions still that I just wanted to know when it came to Pandora, Dex and their son (like OMG! Reign!!). I would’ve loved to have known more about him and who he grows up to become, but I loved it to the very last page.

This series was definitely dark and twisted; all the secrets, the revenge, the betrayal, the suspense, and the mystery made this series such an addicting page-turner.

Pandora is thrown into a life she never asked for, and she has no choice. There's nothing she wants more than going back to her old life and with her old family. After some time away, she finally makes it to the crazy town of Eden Falls, she wasn't expecting a fairy tale when it comes to her new life, but she definitely wasn't expected everything that her father and the crazy rules of Eden Falls throws her way; one of those things being an arranged marriage.

Dexter is a Firstborn just like Pandora; the difference between them is that he loves it and loves taking advantage of the power; to him, it doesn't matter if someone gets hurt as long as he gets his way. He is a wicked and cruel bully, everything Pandora is not, and he still loves his previous fiancee. So what happens when she realizes he's the stranger she's meant to marry?

The first book starts the series with a bang; it kept me on the edge of my seat. I felt every emotion going and couldn't get enough.

The Firstborns are sadistic and twisted. They are playing a game, a game where Pandora is just a pawn that keeps being tormented. This time there's one more player in the game called Easton, is he about to make things more complicated for Pandora? or could he offer her some help?

Secrets are revealed, and Pandora keeps trying to figure out a way to fight back and get the upper hand on this game so she can save herself before it's too late, a game of betrayal, lies, and revenge.

Everything keeps getting more intriguing and dark; I really felt for Pandora the entire time. The second book was full of secrets, twists, and turns some you might prepare for while others you are not ready for.

A Hurt So Sweet - Volume 3
Just when Pandora thought things were about to get a tiny bit better, she used once again, she's left alone and vulnerable. After being used one time after the other, her need for revenge keeps growing, and she finally figures a way to play with their minds, wrap them around her little finger and get revenge, the revenge she's been waiting for against her father, the Firstborns, and Dexter.

Dexter was betrayed and used this time by his friends, just like Pandora was on multiple times; what everyone keeps doing to Pandora is cruel, but she's fierce and strong to hold her own. Dexter is ready to end everything and leave, he's confused with his feeling for Pandora, and he still needs to sort out the situation with Lily Anna and what he's going to do with her. Can he make the right choices before it's too late? Will Pandora ever forgive him?

This story keeps getting better and better. I couldn't put the book down, I had so many questions, and I was ready to jump into the next book.

A Hurt So Sweet - Volume 4
Pandora is finally away from Eden Falls and Dexter. She thinks everything would be better now that she's with her mom and her new friend Ally, a friend that arrived in such a mysterious way. Can she really trust anyone around her? What is going to happen to her and Dexter now that she's away and pregnant?

An Ache So Tender
This bonus little story was perfect. During A Hurt So Sweet, we get to see glimpses of Brazen and Minnie's relationship, and it leaves you with so many questions and wanting more. Minnie played such an important part for Pandora during A Hurt So Sweet, and this novella showed us how she was able to be with the one she loves which is Brazen, it was really nice to see them together.

Of course, this book ends on another cliffhanger, with the story direction leading you into wanting more. I can’t wait till the next installment to see what happens next, and if Pandora and Dexter will ever get their happy ending.
Volume four, begins from the ending of book three, with Pandora and her new friend Alli on the way to see Pandora’s mother. Meanwhile, Dexter has been arrested for killing poor Lai and now sits in prison awaiting his trial. But when his nemesis, Emilian Oakes offers to help Dexter, not only get out of prison, but find Pandora as well, both men are shocked to discover that she is pregnant. Now it’s a race against time to find Pandora, but will they be too late? And when Pandora finally puts the pieces together about her new friend Alli, she begins to question everything she thought she knew about her new friend.
The last installment in this series has a lot of twists and turns, and more heartache for Pandora unfortunately, but with an ending I didn’t really see coming until I was halfway through the last chapter.
As a bonus, the author has added a short story An Ache So Tender, which is about Pandora’s half-brother Brazen and maid Mignonette, or Minnie. As Brazen tries to fight his feelings for Minnie, one fateful night brings them together, but at what cost? A great way to wrap up their love story.

This boxset is spectacularly dark and delicious. There were so many questions I had. Take a step into the dark side and enjoy the ride. Pick this up and get pulled into the darkness. I just couldn’t put it down until I finished. I wanted to find out what would happen next. It was such a dark and twisted story and I absolutely loved it. Here is a little summary of the volumes.

Vol 1- OMFG!! I don’t even know where to start. Pandora/Lily Anna is back home. She isn’t entirely welcomed back with open arms. Her family is all sorts of messed up and her fiancé Dexter is a fine piece of work (not). This whole town is all sorts of fucked up. Where you think there is actually one nice person, it turns out to be the total opposite. Pandora doesn’t know who she can trust. She just knows she can’t trust any of the firstborns. I’m left wondering what type of relationship did everyone have with the first Lily Anna. I hated Dexter one minute and the next he would change my mind. Oh my, the mindf you will get reading this book is, WOW! This is dark and twisted in the most delicious of ways. There is more than meets the eye in this town and I can’t wait to see what it is. Who really was Lily Anna and what did she mean to the town?

Vol 2- OMFG!! What the heck did I just read.!?Wow!! If you thought book one took you on a twisted ride, you haven’t seen anything yet. Did he or didn’t he, that is the million dollar question? During this one, a boy who has been gone returns. Easton has been abroad for the past year. When he see Pandora, he sets his sights on her. Pandora finally has someone who can protect her from the malicious torture the firstborns do to her. There are some questions answered, but there are more questions that come up. Pandora has become a pawn in this little game they’re playing. It’s a game of revenge, betrayal and lies. These firstborns are so twisted and sadistic. I really feel for Pandora. Will she get out of this with her sanity intact? There are so many twists, some I saw coming, and others came out of right field and smacked me right in the face, and left me gasping.

Vol 3- Holy s***! This was so good. There are some people I want to severely smack around and more, her father being one. He deserves to rot for what he does to those around him. This is a dark romance and this story will shock you as more things come out. I definitely have some more questions and can’t wait to see them answered in the next book. My mind is utterly blown!🤯🤯 I love Pandora and Dex’s story.

Vol 4- OMGosh! I have got to say Isabella totally knocked this out of the park. She took me on one hell of a ride. The emotions while reading this were all over. I am at a loss for words. You need to read the three previous books before reading this. It is the finale book of Dex and Pandora. This a dark and twisted story filled with lies, secrets, betrayals, revenge, power, lust/love and shocking twists and turns. These two have been through so much already, and they go through even more. I am not going to say anything else. You just need to read it to find out what happens.

An Ache So Tender- This is Brazen and Minnie’s story. It is short, but good. See what happens between Pandora’s brother and the maid.

This is a GREAT book which leads me to believe will be a phenomenal series that I intend to follow closely.

So many secrets, lies, physical and mental games being played by the Firstborn and now there's a new player .. Easton. Is he a good guy or a villain? Pandora has learned some hard truths that have deadly consequences but who will truly help her with what needs to be done? This is a dark and twisted bully romance that will literally make your blood run hot and cold. I can't wait for what comes next.

Book 3:
The absolute evil of Eden Falls literally jumps off the page. The tables seem to be turning before my very eyes. There are so many secrets. So many lies. So many OMG moments, they have my head spinning. And did I see any of this coming? I can't say I did. I'm shocked! I'm mortified! My heart is racing and believe it or not, I'm really feeling bad for characters I hated at the beginning of this series and starting to have my doubts about the ones I liked. This one ends in a cliffhanger with one more book coming. I want to know how this turns out!!!

Book 4:
WOW!!! What a dynamite conclusion to an already dark, twisted romance. So many twists and turns in the plot. Lies, betrayal, secrets, and revenge all come into play. So many questions that I'd been wondering about are finally answered. This was just a phenomenal read. If you enjoy the dark, twisted genre of romance then this is the book for you and I highly recommend it.

Whether you've read the books individually or are just starting the series now, this is a great way to have them all and add to your Isabella Starling Collection. If this is the first time reading her books, which I can't imagine, then this is a great series to cut your teeth on.

A Hurt So Sweet, Volume One

This is one dark and twisted bully romance. This author has out done herself. This book was amazing. This is one crazy town!! I could not believe the things that went on during this book. I was definitely on the edge of my seat. The story was mesmerizing and unpredictable. These characters were electric together. Dexter is so wicked. I loved him. It does end on a wild cliffhanger as it is book one in a series; however, this book is a fantastic read and well worth it.

A hurt So Sweet, Volume Two

This story just keeps getting better and better. This second installment was full of twists and turns. In this book huge secrets are revealed. What has Dexter been hiding? Pandora continues to be tormented. I love these characters. This story is fantastic with a thick plot and well developed characters. I am dying for the next book. This book is a definite must read.

A Hurt So Sweet, Volume Three

Welcome back to Eden Falls, the most bizarre town in the world. This is the third volume in the Elite of Eden Falls Prep series and it does not disappoint. This is another roller coaster ride of delicious darkness with plenty of twists and turns. This book is gritty, angry and packed full of secrets and lies. Pandora is obsessed with revenge against Dexter, her father and all the firstborns. She is tortured by everyone it seems. I love her fierce spirit. Dexter surprised me in this book but he still holds onto his secrets with a steel grip. Lily Anna needs to die, it’s that simple. That ending blew my mind and I am desperate for the final volume. This book is a must read!!

A Hurt So Sweet, Volume Four

What an awesome ending to this dark, intense series. This book was even more dark, intense and steamy than all the prior installments. A change is coming to Eden Falls. Pandora has finally left Dexter and Eden Falls for good. Unfortunately, she is being pursued by an enemy. What will happen? Will Dexter find her? Will the founding fathers ever get what they deserve? Betti Rosewood has outdone herself with this final book. I love how she brought closure to these characters and this wicked town. This has been such a fun series to read. I highly recommend this series and gladly give it five stars.

An Ache So Tender

This added bonus was just perfection. Brazen and Minnie were dealt a tough blow in the A Hurt So Sweet series. This novella shows us how they ended up. This story is dark and gritty but also satisfying. I absolutely loved this series and hate to say goodbye to all these characters but it was definitely a wild ride, one that I will gladly read again.

Book 1
What a fantastic book from Betti this lady can write some kind of book I tell ya phew. I started that and couldn't put it down the whole time it was so damn good and boy talk about dirty oh la la.
Not to give out any spoilers here, but this book will have you wanting to reach out and choke someone.
This is a high school bully story and it definitely reminds me of how mean and vindictive the "In" crowd was, but it's so good I'd definitely recommend one clicking it. The book does end on a cliffhanger that ending though ugh you'll be so into the story then bam. I can't wait to read what happens in book 2 I hope payback is included.

Book 2
Oh my lord what a whirlwind of a story it just keeps getting better and better and leaving you with more questions than answers. Just when you think you've got something figured out Betti throws a big monkey wrench in it. What a book that you definitely need to read it was sooo good.

Book 3
Phew what a book. This is the 3rd book in this series and picks up where it left off after Pandora's been lured away at her birthday party by Easton. I sometimes had to wonder why Pandora was so gullible and believing anything that came out of the firstborn's mouth.

I don't know how many times I wanted to reach through the book and strangle the people especially that father of hers, but she's plotting and planning to get even with all of them.

This book from page 1 had me flipping pages as I couldn't put the book down the whole time and that cliffhanger though...ohhemmgee it had me wanting to throw my kindle. I need book 4 stat.

Book 4
Oh my lord what a fantastic ending to an amazing series. Once again Betti takes you into the world of the East End drama this time it's the final book and wow you couldn't ask for a more explosive story.
Ugh is anybody going to figure out where Pandora has gone and will Dex be able to find her in time before that crazy woman Lily Anna finds her first?
This book will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and glued to the pages as you flip them to find out what happens next.

An Ache So Tender
This is Brazen and Minnie's story. This was a short quick read where Brazen gets the girl he's loved and ends his father's running the town.

This story is dirty and twisted AF! So sit comfortably and be ready for a long ride like on a hardcore rollercoaster!
Pandora and Dexter will be a pair that will be hurting and painfully getting on each other! Dexter loved his fiance (previous one) and this one is not what he wants. So he will make her hurt. Sounds like a plan? Yeah! But is he build of stone and has heart of stone like that?
Pandora was great and intriguing - I LOVED her and I think she will be strong and fierce in the next books that will make you crave more!

Volume 2 - 5 stars
What had I just read!? This ending had left me so pent up with all kinds of opposite emotions. I won't write anything about the plot as I don't want to spoil the read to anyone.
This story will be DARK and DEVIOUS even more than a book one. Be warned that everything will change in this book and nothing will be obvious and clear.
I can't wait to put my hands on book 3

Volume 3 - 5 stars
Pandora and Dexter are BACK! was waiting for this story SO much and I had devoured this one in one sit almost - The story starts where book two had left us (well almost, but still the same situation).
I can't tell you about what will happen in this book as any information will be a spoiler - so I will just say that be prepared for one hell of a twisted ride, Betti will bring this to the next level and I loved it so much!
Eden Falls had its secrets and we all knew it, but now those ones grew bigger, darker, and dirtier. So fasten your seat belt and get ready for this ride!

Volume 4 - 4 stars
I have been waiting for this story so long - Pandora and Dex begged for an ending in their style! Their story is NOT nice, fluffy, and so on. It's harsh, dark and for sure very bully. So if you like this kind of stories get ready for a lot of pleasure here. Read book 1-3 close to this one as each story follows the previous one.
Some events were close to my "stop line" and this made this read even better. I love reading dark books and Ms. Starling knows her job in this field VERY well. Characters grew in this Volume the most in my opinion and it was great that this author allowed Pandora and Dex to get their way.
I know some readers may not like it, but I really liked it, as it worked so well with the type of story that was created here! I need more stories like that!

Um I do not know where to begin with for this series. It is a great book, with a great story line. So we a Switched at Birth story her. Pandora was raised by a normal middle class family. She has friends and family who love and care for her. Then that all goes out the window when she finds out that her family is not really her blood relatives. What does that matter? Well it matters a lot to Mr. Oakes her father. Ug this man is a dang lunatic. I do not like this man at all. So when she shows up to Eden Falls, she never expected to be engaged also to go by Lily Ana as well. So lets meet Dexter, well I was not sure how I felt for him for a bit but then all that started to change with his possessiveness. Eden Falls follows some sort of archaic rule book where first borns hold a lot of power. Well Dexter is in love with Lily Anna and he does not want anything to do with Pandora. He uses his power as a first born to his advantage. He is also the leader of his friends. They do a lot to mess with her. Let me say this is where I dislike them all. However, I did want to see Pandora actually stand up for herself. You would think that since was raised differently that she would have more of a back bone. However, she does have other qualities that makes her redeemable. Be prepared for some twist and turns. Everything starts to shift in book three and then you are like what just happened and then you go into scramble mode. It gets freaking intense, and we slowly see that the push and pull between Pandora and Dexter is less and realizations of their own feelings. The build up is hot as well. We find out more secrets and then the fight is on. What does it take for someone to realize how they feel about someone? Well in this case the cost is pretty high. By the time I got to the fourth book I was already on the edge with wanting to know what was going to happen. I did not expect it to end the way that it did. However, it was a great ending. This is the first time I have read a book by this author and I am glad I picked the box set cause there is no way I would have been able to wait for each individual book.

A Hurt So Sweet Complete Dark Bully Romance Series Box Set Elite of Eden Falls Prep Isabella Starling is a series you don't want to miss.


Hurt So Sweet is Volume 1 in Isabella Starling 's latest novels. This is a very dark romance taking place at Eden Falls Prep high school for the elite. Dexter Booth is a "Firstborn" and Pandora Oakes is his victim in his reign, and he is very good at what he does. You might want to read Betti Rosewood's Boys that Tease and Boys that Read, but not necessary. Several characters from the books are discussed in A Hurt So Sweet.
There is high school drama, sex, lots of drama and Dexter's not so nice friends. It's a recipe for a dark good read.

A Hurt So Sweet is Volume 2 in Isabella Starling 's latest novels. If you enjoyed the dark high school drama, family secrets, taboo sex in Volume 1 you will want to read this book! You will get twist and turns at every corner. You do get some answers but so many questions unanswered. I could not stop reading once I started. The book does have a huge cliffhanger! Isabella Starling does like torturing her readers.

A Hurt so Sweet is book 3 in the saga of An Elite of Eden Falls Prep by Isabella Starling. Just like the first two books it is dark and very very twisted. Just as you think you know where things are headed the author surprises you with a hit to the head. Mental angst, physical torment, deep secrets, love, bullying, sex and hate is just another day at Eden Falls. The book was definitely a roller coaster of emotions. Dex and Pandora definitely need their HEA. Hopefully they will find it in the next book.

A Hurt so Sweet volume 4 was Dexter and Pandora's HEA as told by Isabella Starling. If you are wanting a sweet romantic read this book is not it. If you want dark, gritty and twisted this book is it! The book revealed so many dark secrets. So much drama, emotional pain and really hot sex scenes. The book did not disappoint this Isabella Starling fan.

Epilogue. All I can say is dark, twisted, cruel, light, kind, softness is Dexter and Pandora.

An Ache So Tender is Brazen and poor Minnie's book. She so deserves a happy ending. Isabella gives you her HEA for the two. Kudos!

I've waited so long for AHSS but damn I was not ready for how amazing this book was

It kept me on the edge of my seat, I felt every emotion going and couldnt get enough.

I love the different characters but Dexter GAHHH I loved him and hated him.


This book has left me reeling and I cant wait for more.

Volume 2

Dark, angsy, blood boiling mad and AMAZING!!!

After reading A Hurt So Sweet volume one I thorght I knew what was coming but no!!

Isabella takes what you think will happen and twists it so no matter what you try and read after will never compare..this broke me...I'm broken and I cant get into any other book without thinking about dexter.

THIS fact alone is why this is an amazing book, it will have you on the edge of your seat, it's dark, twisted and maddening, like palm twitch maddening but Absolutely amazing.

You have to read the first one before this but if you dont do anything else this year..you have to READ THIS SERIES.

Now..I need book 3 already!!

So excited to be back at Eden prep and my god did they bring it in this one.

The roller coaster it took my heart on, the twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat, I couldn't put it down, I needed to know what happened next.

Oh..my..god

The amazing last book in the series had me on the edge of my seat, i couldnt put it down and was racing to find out what happened but at the same time I never wanted it to end.

Pandora and den go through somthing unimaginable and fight tooth and nail to overcome it.

My heart was in my mouth, I went through every heartbreaking moment, felt every fear and every moment of rage.

Anything else will spoil it so i won't but my god, if you don't read anything else this year, read this series, it's at the top of my 2020 reads.

Wow what did I just read. Talk about a bully of bully romance books. Pandora who always thought her parents were her parents ends up not being the case. After her birth parents send her to boarding school for 4 years they deem that she is worthy to move to their house. When she moves in she also has a fiancé she's never met and has to replace a ghost. This book is crazy. Dex and his friends tortures Pandora and all Pandora wants is to go back to the family she knows and loves. This book is full of secrets and drama and I cannot wait to find out what happens next.

A Hurt So Sweet Book 2:
I mean hot damn!!! This book was fire right from the start. Pandora is on an emotional roller coaster with those boys. Dexter and his feelings that he doesn't understand why he has them and still hiding Lily Anna away. This book is dark and full of sexual chemistry. Then you have Easton, one of the first borns who's back. He befriends Pandora but then totally betrays her at the end. This book, holy hell, I couldn't put it down. I read it one sitting and was like, what did I just read. This is twisted, dark and oh so intriging. I cannot wait for book 3!!! This series is fire!!

A Hurt So Sweet Book 3:
I have chomping at the bits for more of this group and Betti Rosewood brought it! Pandora has been through the ringer and every time she tried to one up the guys she somehow gets caught up in her feelings. Every time I think I can figure out what's going to happen next I'm thrown for a loop. This series is full of secrets and twists and turns and I'm dying to figure out what's to come next. But when new revelations come to light I'm left flabbergasted. What is Dex going to do now? Who did the cops find? Who did Pandora meet on her journey? I'm anxiously awaiting the next book!!

This box set gives you all the books in this dark and twisted bully romance series in one convenient package. I feel that this series is not for every reader. Things get very dark, disturbing, intense and twisty and there are possible triggers aplenty. In my opinion you need an open mind, nerves of steel and a backbone that is strong enough to bear up under the weight of some extremely vile characters, unpleasant situations and questionable actions that occur in this book. These include both physical assault and dubious consent. So, please be informed before diving in. As for myself, I did like it, but as the story unfolded I often felt that I was like a rubbernecker at the scene of an accident. I simply could not look away, even if I often felt that I should. I must be honest, I struggled with my feelings for these characters. While they certainly do inspire a strong emotional response in the reader, for me, at least, it was not always in a positive way. I will be upfront here and admit bully romances are hit and miss with me. Although I am a huge fan of dark romantic reads, I do have some lines I don't want crossed and some pet peeves that I have big issues with if they come up and unfortunately, they did here. There is no denying that this is a gritty and gripping story of epic proportions. It delivers an overall grand feel and features tons of drama, twists and tension. Trust me when I say you can expect countless wtf moments and innumerable instances of having to try to pick your jaw up off the floor. By my own volition I am posting a candid review.

*SPOILER* Oh wow that’s what comes to mind right off the bat. At I was worried cause I try not to do high school bully romance but this being one of my favorite authors I had to read it. So a good thing to me was the fact it was a box set and I didn’t have to wait to read the other part later. What came to mind as I was reading about Dex and Pandora was could this be happening in our society today! The story was so compelling and felt so real I had to stop and think and re-adjust my thinking. These kids raised in a town that was settled by people on money, a society where being a firstborn gave you all the privileges and rights to abuse, sexually harassing people lower then you. The manual created by the founding fathers told you what and how you could do, act and when to speak. Pandora has the cards stacked against her from birth, being switched as a baby, having to leave everything behind once it’s discovered. Dex is your spoiled rich kid of one of the founding families, he a tyrant, dark, mean bully. His friends or followers sons of the 5 founding families are no better. The characters do have hardness about themselves that lead to a rowing act which create havoc to each other. There’s surprises, dark sex, and mystery. I’ve given a lot away and it wasn’t my intention but seriously you have to read this box set. The author has done it again. *SPOILER*
