King of Wall Street

At work, I’m King of Wall Street. The heaviest hitters in Manhattan come to me to make money. They do whatever I say because I’m always right. I’m shrewd. Exacting. Some say ruthless.

At home, I’m a single dad trying to keep his fourteen year old daughter a kid for as long as possible. If my daughter does what I say, somewhere there’s a snowball surviving in hell. And nothing I say is ever right.

When Harper Jayne starts as a junior researcher at my firm, the barriers between my worlds begin to dissolve. She’s the most infuriating woman I’ve ever worked with.

I don’t like the way she bends over the photocopier—it makes my mouth water.

I hate the way she’s so eager to do a good job—it makes my dick twitch.

And I can’t stand the way she wears her hair up exposing her long neck. It makes me want to strip her naked, bend her over my desk and trail my tongue all over her body.

If my two worlds are going to collide, Harper Jayne will have to learn that I don't just rule the boardroom. I’m in charge of the bedroom, too.

Duke of Manhattan

I was born into British aristocracy, but I’ve made my fortune in Manhattan.

A family feud means I need to inherit the title I’ve never wanted-so I need a wife.

I didn’t bargain on finding a one night stand across the boardroom table the next day. I wonder if she'll marry me?

The British Knight

Nothing and no one will stand in the way of my destiny. Not my ex-wife. Or opposing counsel. And certainly not Violet King, my disarmingly beautiful and annoyingly feisty new assistant.

Resisting this woman is more challenging than any court battle-and the only one I've secretly wanted to lose.

The Earl of London

On a spring morning in the English countryside, a tall, dark stranger emerges from the mist. He's all tousled hair, hard chest and perfectly kissable lips. I'm sure that’s a thunderclap of chemistry I feel between us.

Did I mention he’s an Earl with a self-made fortune?

A billionaire who works tirelessly for charity?

And he’s so hot, watching him is like staring at the sun.

Turns out the stranger's out to destroy everything I’ve dedicated my life to protect, the chemistry disappears and the hope that had blossomed my chest turns to rage.

Park Avenue Prince

I’ve made every one of my billions of dollars myself. I’m calculating, astute and the best at what I do. It leaves no time for love. Until an impatient, smart-talking, beyond beautiful heiress bursts into my world.

She might be a princess but I’m going to show her who rules her body.

I fell in love with all these characters and the beautiful stories that are written between the pages of these books! I was so immersed in these books that I kept telling myself just one more chapter, just one more until the very end. I just couldn't put these books down because they were filled with witty banter and combustible chemistry. If you love strong-willed heroines and domineering heroes then you will be captivated by this boxset!

5 Star Review Royals Series (The Royals #1-5) by Louise Bay

eBook/Audio:
This collection covers book one to five and includes King of Wall Street, Duke of Manhattan, The British Knight, The Earl of London and Park Avenue Prince.

What can I say other than this was an amazing way to binge this series and once I started listening, I didn’t want to stop.

Narrated by a number of talented performers including Sebastian York, Andi Arndt, Shane East, Saskia Maarleveld and Imogen Church. They all brought something different to the table and in my opinion did a fantastic job with their performances.

This series is so addictive!

4,5 stars

KING OF WALL STREET
Max King is hot, sexy, hard worker, loyal and, even if the world doesn't know it, he is a family man! He is devoted, he is loving and caring and his daughter, Amanda, is his whole world. He is close to his sisters and he is fair.
Harper Jayne is fighting for her career. She is determined, strong, sassy and definitely a hard worker too. She has a lot of dad issues, and it is expected and fair that she has. And these issues made her hold some grudge that sometimes was responsible for holding her back and tricking her confidence.
Harper and Max were hot together and they got to know each other litlle by little, showing them that they were really compatible not just in the bedroom.

DUKE OF MANHATTAN
Ryder is a duke-to-be who needs to get married in order to keep the business he spent his whole life building. Even being a player when it comes to women, he is very loyal to his grandfather and sister.
Scarlett is still trying to get over her divorce and is working hard to keep her business alive, the business she worked so hard for the past couple of years since his ex left her.
Even starting this arranged relationship to save their works, they respected each other, and it was beautiful to watch.
They grew feelings for each other based not only on lust (although their chemistry was awesome) but also based on admiration, respect, friendship, complicity. They weren't just arranged husband and wife, they were partners, they were a team.

THE BRITISH KNIGHT
Violet is trying to get some perspective in her life, change the cenary, and for that she takes on her friend's sugestion, Darcy, to go to London and try something new for a bit. And that something new turns out to be: working with Alexander Knightley, a workaholic barrister who always puts work first.
Together, they start to find out that some feelings are more imponent than they can control, and in these situations, taking chances, making time, putting yourself in the open and vulnerable can be both terrifying and exilarating!
What may start as a lustful office affair can really be the one thing to change your life forever, either you are prepared for it or not. All you to do is be willing to compromise.

THE EARL OF LONDON
Darcy and Logan were both active, spirited, stubborn and devoted to what they believed. They lived a comfortable life, but they both also knew pain from the past. So that made wary toward each other, even though they couldn't fight the pull they have to be together.
They had flaws and qualities and they both made things right and made mistakes. Darcy, for a while, made me so mad! I understood her appeal to protect what she believed in, but she was so dense sometimes, that it was almost hipocritical.
Logan was his own kind of dense. He learnt the hard way that being a Earl meant nothing if you didn't work hard. His only north was adorable grandmother, and other than her, he never knew what love is. So it was hard to recognize, even though it was there, in front of him.
But the thing is when you find that kind of love, even if you're scared, even if you messed up, even if you have no idea what to do, there is one thing you learn: you fight that love, you prove, you show, you act about it, you say, you do whatever it takes to live that love and cherish as it must be.
Their paths had bumps along the road and some curves they didn't expect. But it also had everything they needed, everything they never knew they wanted.

PARK AVENUE PRINCE
Sam and Grace are the perfect match! They are both loyal, kind, generous, sweet and they are deep about their feelings, even if Sam has no idea about what to do with them.
Sam has a tough past surrounded by loss. Grace had everything her whole life, but that didn't spoil her. She is independent and strong, and she is a fixer. She wants everyone to be fine, to be happy, she is a nurturer.
They were adorable and so so sweet to read about.

I LOVED the series.

Book 1: King of Wall Street
4.5⭐|2🌶|18%🌶frequency

I try to go blindly into books. That's what I did here. Except for the title and the series name, I knew NOTHING. OK, obviously the author 😉
So, I knew nothing, and I was so surprised. I hadn't expected a single dad 😎 I love single dads 😁 And no, it's no single dad x nanny. Harper didn't know that Max was a dad. She isn't very happy with "dads". Her dad is an 🍑🕳️

The chemistry between Max and Harper is perfect. She hates him, and he wants her 🤣 He treats her like 💩 Yeah, that's how you treat a woman you want. But the problem with wanting a woman and knowing (or thinking) that this isn't a good idea... Boss x employee and so, you know 🤣

I loved Amanda. And not just her, but also the fact how much she loves her dad and how much Max loves her. It's the complete opposite of Harper and her father. Amanda is very adult for her age. I think all girls this age want to be older as they are 😁 I'm always fascinated by the fact that in the US, there are so many dances in schools. We don't have something like that in Germany. If you don't go to dance lessons (after school, private) there are zero dances. So needing a dress is nearly zero. Good for dads, I suppose, especially single dads 🤣

******************************************************************

Book 2: Park Avenue Prince
4.5⭐|2🌶|16%🌶frequency

Ooh, this is about Grace 🤩 Harper's (book 1 in this series) best friend. I already loved her in book 1. She is special.

This book is very emotional 😢
Broken Park Avenue prince meets Park Avenue princess who doesn't want to be one anymore 🙈
I'm a sucker for broken MMCs, so Sam just hit my 💘 I felt so sorry for him. He lost everything when his parents died. He had no one anymore. So he got into foster care. And then he met Angie. His only friend. I love it when men and women can be friends. Real friends. Platonic friends.
So, this is no friends to lovers 😎 Angie is married to someone else, and they are in love 🩷 But Angie grew up in foster care too. So they have the same fate. She is the only one Sam loves and protects. He would do everything for her. But Sam isn't like Angie. She is open for a relationship. For a family... But not Sam.
He never thought he would meet someone like Grace. Or better,r he never thought he would meet Grace 😁
Sam is everything Grace doesn't typically like. She likes the losers 🙈 The poor artists. The ones who ned to be fixed. What she doesn't know is that Sam is broken. Because he is a billionaire.

I loved to see Harper and Max in this book again. The support they give to Grace.
This all made me cry a lot 😭

I'm excited about who will be the MCs of the next book. Will there be some of the previous MCs, and if yes, who?

******************************************************************

Book 3: Duke of Manhattan
4.5⭐|2🌶|15%🌶frequency

I know, there are still two more books in this series, but so far, this one is my favorite 🤩
I'm a sucker for marriage of convenience 😁 and Ryder is so perfect 🥰
He is a billionaire. He is freaking good looking with a huge 🍆 😉 and he is a bit dominant 😎
But I honestly could have 🥊 him. Honestly...
Scarlett loves her company. She is devoted to it. She loves the work and everything. And yes, it's sentimental. She doesn't want to lose it.
And when Ryder says, she is too sentimental... WOW. Just hold your 🐴🐴 man!!! Just think, who is the one looking for a wife to keep his company? A wife he doesn't want!? Because he is such a huge playboy and doesn't even have a woman twice? Hm? Who is it??? Oh yes, freaking Ryder 🤨 Not sure if he doesn't see it or if he doesn't want to see it. Maybe it's just because he's a man... 🙈
But it makes him so lovable 😁

Btw, Scarlett is Max's (book 1) sister. I don't know who the other two books will be, but I hope they will be Violet (Scarlett's sister) and Darcy (Ryder's sister) 🤞 And I'm looking forward to meeting their MMCs 🤩

******************************************************************

Book 4: The British Knight
4.5⭐|2🌶|9%

YaY, it's Violet 🤩 I was hoping it would be her 😁
Just so you know, Violet is the sister of Max and Scarlett, who both already had their HEA 🩷

Knight in shining armor or a grumpy Brit?
That could be the question. But the answer is, Alexander is both. And a lot more...

I've read a lot of books (so I think). I've read quite a few billionaires and workaholics. But WOW, Alexander definitely hit the 🎯
There is really not a second of his life when he isn't working. Ok, the time while he exercises, but I think that he even uses this time to work on anything... 🙈 This man is crazy!
And even though he is 🔥 Violet knows he isn't the right man.
I loved Violet. She is a very intelligent woman. But she didn't use her knowledge for a long time. Only because of her ex-boyfriend. God, what a... I don't find a word for him that I can use here without getting into trouble 🙈 But what he did 🤬 Not just the classic move of cheating, no, there is more 😳 So, shr doesn't trust men anymore.

I have to say the lawyer thing in the UK is very complicated. It's completely different from Germany (and as far as I know from the US, too) 🙈 I don't think I have understood how it works, it's just too complicated 🤷‍♀️ It's not really necessary for the story 😁 But it's still very interesting.

******************************************************************

Book 5: The Earl of London
4.5⭐|2🌶|9%

God... Dislike, like, hate, like, enemies, like, hate, like, enemies, like... I got whiplash 🤣🤣🤣
But yeah, Logan isn't easy to read or understand 🙈 But he is a good man deep in his heart. He bought a house in the country and didn't give a flying monkey about the price. Just because it's the house his grandmother lived in, but had to sell. To sell because.... (no, not telling you, because it's just too good to spoil 🩷). He loves his grandmother with all his heart. It's so cute 🥰

And Darcy, yes, this book is about Darcy, I was so hoping for her. But it was obvious because her brother already got his HEA, and a few of her friends. I'm only missing Aurora now 🤔
I already loved Darcy so much during all the other books. She is a country girl. But she isn't stiffy or anything. She's rather a bit crazy. Who needs shoes when she can walk in socks? Or who needs high heels when you can wear wellies 😁 Even though she is the granddaughter of an earl!

Like all men in this series, Logan is a playboy. He only wants women for the one thing... And definitely don't want anything serious. But then he met Darcy 😎 Sure, a lot of cliché, but that's what Louise stands for and what I love in her books 🩷

The first 3 books were fun, engaging and done well. The last book, almost made me want to delete it from my Kindle. The ending did not even help as by then it was too rushed. If I read it again, I will know to not read that last one again.

The Royals Series is the complete set of five books from The Royals Collection and it was a great way to binge listen to this entertaining series. It’s narrated by multiple narrators including Sebastian York, Andi Ardnt, Shane East, Saskia Maarleveld and Imogen Church and they did a great job bringing the characters and their stories to life. They were spot on with the passion, the love and the banter.

King of Wall Street:
This is single dad Max and Harper’s entertaining story. Max will always put his 14 year old daughter first. He has a perfect balance between his business and personal life. That was until Harper starts working for him and his sisters and daughter decide Harper would be the perfect girlfriend for him.

Park Avenue Prince:
This is Sam Shaw and Grace Astor's story, he is new money she comes from old money, he has built his business from nothing and she wants to build her business with no help from her Park Avenue family. Grace has had her fill of rich guys growing up the last thing this Park Avenue Princess wants is a Park Avenue Prince.

Duke of Manhattan:
This is Ryder and Scarlett’s fake to real romance. Ryder is heir to the Duke of Fairfax title but it’s not the life he wants. He lives his life in the States but in order to get the title to his sister he needs to marry and that’s where Scarlett comes in. One night of passion soon turns into a business proposal follows by a fake proposal followed by real feelings.

The British Knight:
This is British barrister Alex and his American PA, Vi’s story. Vi is hired to clear up his office and get his billing up to date. Vi is in the UK because the company she helped develop with her ex boyfriend is about to go public and she needed to get away from the news. They say opposites attract and that’s certainly what happens here, a workaholic who lives to work and free spirit who works to live, a grumpy control freak and a fun loving gal.

The Earl of London:
This is Darcy and Logan’s steamy and entertaining story. Darcy is not looking for love but even she is finding hard to resist her neighbours hot grandson. This is a story about family loyalty and it’s full of love and passion. I loved how Darcy and Logan pushed each other’s buttons I loved the banter.

After having already read The British Knight previously prior to attending RARE18 in London, I decided that this reader needed to read the entire back log.

So when I stumbled on the collection of 5 books in Louise Bay's Royal Series, I couldn't pass this up. And boy am I glad I didn't. What a collection of stories and characters. I love that each book has a slight connection to the previous one, characters overlapping and the like.

Each couple in this series are unique in their own way, each one as compelling as the other, but readers will have their favourites, don't we all. For me I cannot single one story or couple out, they are all brilliant in their own way. Bay is an excellent author, she cleverly creates a world where distance doesn't stop love and the blossoming romances in this series pays homage to that.

I love the clever use of the settings for this series, going between the UK and the US, we follow each story enraptured by the landscape and the inhabitants of that landscape. Bay gives us a sense that distance is but a mere inconvenience, one that will not stop the handsome men from perusing the beautiful ladies they are courting. Because really, if you love someone, distance shouldn't mean a thing.

I loved getting lost in this series, in diving head first into the romance, the decadence and the sexiness of all 5 books. In a world where we're trapped inside, unable to socialise, which for this reading hermit is a blessing, I felt like for the duration of my read, I escaped into another world. And trust me when I say, it was worth every moment.

Thank you Louise Bay for being such an amazing author, for creating such beautiful characters and giving us mere readers some place else to escape to.

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title. (Audible Membership)

King of Wall Street

She had got her dream job, but her boss turned out to be a real pain. He ignored her and reduced her submitted paper to a red inked mess.
He couldn't keep his thoughts from the new employee, going out of his way to avoid interacting with her. However, his mind just kept straying her way when he should be focusing on business.

Park Avenue Prince

After his parents' death, when he was 12, he had been thrown into the "system," where only one fellow suffer emerged as friends in his own self-made future.
She sold the painting that meant so much to her to enable her independent dream to occur. It was in her Gallery, on its first opening, that they meet, and their lives changed forever.

Duke of Manhattan

She had a refinancing problem. He had a lack of matrimonial spouse problem concerning his inheritance of his British family estate.
Two birds, one stone, sounds simple, but then what fun would that be to read about?

The British Knight

This was one of those tales where he taught her the value of her life, and she helped him find a work home balance.
Of course, this is very condensed, but the story, as the author has presented it has lots of intriguing and sensual moments.
The presenters of the audiobook do an excellent job, adding that additional layer of pleasure to the whole story experience.

The Earl of London

He wasn't what he appeared, and at every turn, she had to reassess her ideas on him.
She, on the other hand, didn't fit any mould that he generally placed his women into. She kept him on his toes and was happy to go head to head with him.
An excellent tale!

I LOVE this box set and this series!! The books draw you in so that you don’t want to stop listening. And then you wish for more. Louise Bay never fails to deliver a story that weaves together the perfect amount of undeniable heat and connection, the most thoughtfully crafted and all-feeling level of emotion, and an effervescent vibrancy that is tangible through every extraordinary word she writes. I know in each of her stories that there will be highs and lows, laughter, tears, rejoicing, cringing, love and even disgust. Just read this box set...you WON’T be disappointed.

Andi Arndt, Imogen Church, Saskia Maarleveld, Sebastian York & Shane East do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. They do more than giving their characters their voices, they fall into the roles and become the character.

I loved every one of the books in this series. They are all so swoon worthy.

King of Wall Street - It's sexy, sweet and funny. Great chemistry between the characters.
Duke of Manhattan - Loved Ryder & Scarlett, perfect for each other.
The British Knight - Such a fun read. Two different types of people who work out so well together.
The Earl of London - Darcy and Logan are perfect together even though they seem to be such opposites. This story was so sweet with lots of love and loyalty for family. I loved Logan's grandmother.
Park Avenue Prince - I absolutely loved this couple and their story, as well as their back story. Sam avoided becoming attached to anything or anyone because of his past and Grace was a "fixer" always dating the wrong kind of guy. It's sweet how they try their hardest to not like each other, which makes for such a sweet story but also a sexy story because their chemistry together is so hot.

King of Wall Street - 5 stars
Duke of Manhattan - 5 stars
The British Knight - 4 stars - This book was 5 stars until close to the end. I didn't like that
The Earl of London - 5 stars
Park Avenue Prince - 3 stars - Again, this book was 5 stars until the end. I can tell you ... if a man treated me like that, it would be a LONG time before I forgave him or trusted him again.

They were ok

There were 5 books total.
Book 1- This was the start and I almost stopped reading here. For an Alpha Male, Max was too soft and the things he would say were sometimes a turn off.
Book 2- My Favorite and this book alone would have been 5 stars. Ryker was hot and the storyline was interesting. My only dislike was Scarlett kept saying their love couldn't be real....uugh.
Book 3- It was based in London and was kind of boring. Workaholic cant have fun , blah, blah
Book 4- City boy meet County girl, dragged on.
Book 5- Somewhat better, these males need to grow a pair, not the alphas I was hoping for.

Okay.. so this one was interesting. I've read the first story in this series before and I really like it. I was excited to get the entire series together. I think putting it all together pointed out something very interesting to me, these books are formulaic. It's the same story told with slight variations. Add to that that the last book in this collection is actually the second book in the series and I found myself unimpressed and unable to really submerse myself in the stories. The story itself was good.. the first time around.

I love having a series of books in one place. So this is a yes from me right out the box. Playing in order without endless scrolling or pointless waiting. Happy reader. The fact that
Louise Bay's stories make me smile, really doesn't hurt either.
Whether it's a grumpy barrister or fake fiancé, her male leads are ticking the book boyfriend box. She's writes fmc that are independent and not taking any snash from anyone. They are out there living their lives.
The narrators deliver fab performances, bringing the chemistry & emotion to life in each story.

too much of the same

The stories all had the same theme. First don’t like, then like. Then deny that you love, then fight because you are afraid, then breakup then talk to someone and realize a life together is what you need. Then get back together but don’t get married for awhile. For older adults they were all immature and afraid. It was also silly. They could start their own businesses, make tons of money but couldn’t or wouldn’t make the commitment of love and marriage until after the breakup and all the drama. They reminded me of high schoolers.

These books will have you swooning so hard, there’s something so addictive about these stories! From the bossy CEO single father, to the Duke needing a Duchess, and let’s not forget the British Knight who I have to say is my absolute favourite! Get lost in Louise’s world, swept away with a group of amazing characters whose lives all intertwine yet have their own stories full of laughter, emotion and a whole heap of sass!

Louise Bay is one of my all time favourite authors, so I jumped for joy when I saw her Royal series all in one box set – and at such a bargain price! You’re definitely in for a treat!  (Get ready to swoon, laugh and cry!)

I've read and enjoyed them all – they are complete standalones, but it was lovely to see some characters making appearances in other books in the series.

I’d 100% recommend - you'll LOVE them!

Amazing

I loved it!!! Just what I was looking for, a short love story about people who have been through a lot in their lives.... Wait and Hope and in the end you realise that waiting and hoping it's worth everything. Just the moment where they were in the elevator and he took her hand to get out of the car mistake I realised I was reading every single word in the book, the book was amazing, you are a delightful writer! Thank you!

Short on romance...

But long on sex. I didn’t really care for either of the first 2 books in the set.
Both were more or less the same...insta-lust. Lots and lots and LOTS of sex. No romance. Hea. The end.
Didn’t care for Hannah, or Max. Liked Ryder and Scarlet even less.
Hadn’t liked Violet well enough so far, to even begin her story.
I do like the fact all the characters carry over, from one book to the next. Unfortunately, that’s about the extent of my fondness for the set.

Highly enjoyable!

I liked the series overall but I will say that this author sometimes overlooks some details. Timelines didn’t always add up and character descriptions change from one book to another.

However, I really liked the build and angst of these characters and stories. I just wished that Park Avenue prince was in the proper order. In this box set, it was book five when it should have been two.

This series is amazing. Filled with strong, determined and fun characters that will make you laugh, fan your face and love their HEA’s.

There are many amazing tropes - the banter - the chemistry is fantastic!

The narrators are amazing and deliver phenomenal performances. Sebastian York, Andi Arndt, Shane East, Saskatoon Maaleveld and Imogen Church bring these characters to life. They give them perfect voice, personality and emotion! Loved this series!

I've read all of these books and recommend them all if one is looking for a great series to cuddle up with. All the heroes are hot and alpha while the heroines are just as amazing. This set offers a variety of stories to get lost in that all make for hot reads. All of these stories were well written and highly recommended by this reader!

I have all these books separately and devoured each one pretty quickly. Not just because I'm a Louise Bay super fan, but because they're all equally brilliant stories. If you're after some escapism (who isn't right now!!) I couldn't recommend this box set enough. I've already reread 3 out of the 5 books and loving them all over again.

Long but worth the read.

I enjoyed this series. The Max and Harper were my favorite. Scarlett and Ryder (I hope that was his name. I forgot but I liked him.) were second. Violet and Alex were kind of boring. Darcy and the Earl were boring. Too much inner dialogue. Not sure why Grace and Sam's book was last. It should have been the third book.
