Maid for Advertising

Rate this book
Working as a maid on a luxury yacht certainly isn’t Urvi’s idea of a dream job, but she needs money, fast. As a student at the Royal academy, who’s been cut off by her family for choosing music instead of medicine, she needs every penny of the exorbitant fee the powerful advertising executive, Jack Bailey, is willing to pay.

So what if she thought Jack was asking her out but offered her a job instead? So what if she thought they had a connection during all those late night chats they had at the bar where she works? Jack and his mega yacht are clearly more out of her league than she realized. A bit of banter with a barmaid obviously meant nothing to him if the cold shoulder he’s now giving her is anything to go by.

Urvi can’t afford pride if she wants to survive, and, with the way her diabetes control has been lately, survival is fast becoming her number one priority.

Maid for Advertising is a friends to enemies to lovers contemporary romance novella. It is approximately half the length of a full-length novel.

Oh my…
The miscommunication trope is full on in this novella it’s too much!
For fuck sake open your damn mouth and speak!!
Also Urvi the definition of I’m not like the other girls I don’t want money from that gorgeous man who’s clearly into me and even in love with me because I’m so strong and independent! Girl for real stfu. This type of character is blend, boring and overused.

Jack isn’t better. I’m so hot and rich and I treat everyone but the girl I love like pure shit 😍
*rolling my eyes* it’s a turn off. It means you’re just not a good person.
They clearly only had sexual attraction nothing else. I skim the last 50 pages bc it was dragging.

I love the reading experience Susie Tate books bring, guaranteed to put a smile on my face. This wasn't as good as her other books and it felt rushed. The romance was based on those plotlines where jumping to conclusions and misunderstandings rule. The good thing was it was done in an equal opps way so both the H and the h were at it. They didn't drag them out so that's a plus.

I had my duh moment when it was nearly three quarters of the book through that I realised Urvi, the h, was of Indian origin. For some reason I dismissed the name as possibly welsh and had decided I should look it up. It's when she meets up with her family again, the veils were lifted. What an idjit, me I mean.

Definately going on to read about Kiki.

I received this book as an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
It is loosely attached to the Broken Heart and Opposites Attract series from Susie Tate. Kira, a medical student at this time, from "Anything but Easy" has a predominant role in "Maid for Advertising".

I loved this book! It has all the great laugh-out-loud humor, hilarious insults (Pervy Perverson, cockwombles), and tear-jerking apologies as Ms. Tate's other books.

Jack is a great H even though he is a cockwomble, at times, but he figures out his mistakes and grovels, which is awesome! Urvi is struggling to deal with a life-altering disease without the support of her family who shunned her after she didn't follow into line with their idea of what her career should be. Kira is her own special brand of awesomeness as Urvi's roommate, best friend, and protector against all Pervy Perversons!

If you haven't read Ms. Tate's Broken Heart or Opposites Attract series, now is a good time to start. You will have time to enjoy these two series to be ready for the release of Maid for Advertising on Feb 2, 2021. Or you could wait and get "Maid for Advertising" first since it is a prequel to the other two series, but I wouldn't wait, I'm just going to go back and reread the other two series now!

A cute, well-written novella by Susie Tate. The story of Urvi, a music student working as a bartender and Jack, a wealthy businessman.
Jack was into Urvi for a long time but when he finally makes a move there is a series of misunderstandings that keep them apart for a while.
I probably would have enjoyed it more if it was full-length because there were some parts underdeveloped and others slightly rushed.

-Dual 1st person POV
-Spice: 0.5/5 🌶️

Overall: 3.5/5 ⭐️

Urvi is trying to make ends meet because her parents have cut her off for not going into medicine. Managing her r type 1 diabetis is an expense she really cannot afford. When the man she thought she had a connect with offers her a job on his yacht she takes it. To bad his attitude to her has changed.
Jack saw when a flight attendent demanded Urvi's injection kit. He doesn't hear the whole conversation and immediately believes she is a drug addict.
When he realises the truth he has a lot to make up for. A really great frinds to enemies to lovers book.

Charming, sweet romance between Urvi, bartender/student turned waitress on a luxury yacht in St Tropez, and Jack, customer and owner of said yacht.

Urvi was training to be a doctor but her real passion is music. When she changed her course her traditional family refused to speak to her. Now she's struggling with a medical condition and trying to fund her studying and life with a part-time job at a London bar. Jack is one of her favourite customers, respectful, polite and good for a chat, so when he invites her to spend the weekend in St Tropez on a yacht Urvi is thrilled, until she finds out it is as staff not as a guest!

Worth the price just to see the adorable Kira and hear cockwomble one more time!

I love Susie Tate's book and this was great - just too short!

Very much a misunderstanding trope.
Could the whole thing have been avoided very easily? Yes.
Were they good for each other and cute together despite that? Yes.
Also Kira was a blast as a side character here.

I started reading this novella after a search for type 1 diabetes representation in literature.

Having been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in my early twenties I felt like I would be able to relate at least a little bit with the main character in this novella.

A second reason why I wanted to read about t1d characters is because there is often a lot of misinformation being spread through bad (mis)representation of type 1 diabetes in the media. (think of films with side characters who argue they need their insulin shot within 3 hours or they’ll die…or experience hypoglycemic shock and then require ‘insulin’ (if you do that, you’ll actually kill us…)).

I am no longer really a fan of the ‘romantic’ novels that employ dramatic tropes in order to create a romantic atmosphere (in all honesty - if it really takes a near-death experience to bring you together with someone you like, then you might want to ‘not’ pursue that romance).

I did enjoy this novella somewhat - since I am a lover of music, and a struggling student trying to make ends meet whilst battling an incredibly difficult and debilitating chronic disease. However, whilst I was reading the first few chapters of the novel it became increasingly clear that this was not written by a type 1 diabetic. Most of the theoretical knowledge around the disease was relatively correct (a quick search on google can give you that) - but there were many instances where I stared at the page in disbelief: pricking your finger 2x a day is NOT prescribed for t1d. The main character is not on top of her illness, for various reasons (I’ve been there, it’s hard to motivate yourself to do everything that needs to be done) but if you do not possess a CGM (or FGM, which is the Freestyle LibrE (not libra) you need to be testing your blood at least 4-6 times a day: after waking up, before every meal (and before/after working out) and before you go to sleep. The fact that she doesn’t do this, can definitely be part of her difficulty to cope with it, but saying that she ‘should’ do this 2x a day is incorrect and gives the wrong message!

Then - when it comes to insulin and food: the plot seems to suggest that our t1D character just randomly doses a large amount of insulin before eating (see the boat scenes).

This is very dangerous, and should never be attempted! It is true that we need to dose before eating, but our doses depend on WHAT we eat! It is not like we can give ourselves a big dose of insulin and then think: “I should then also probably eat something” That’s not how it works.

The novella is too short to go into detail about the medical theory - since t1d is just an incredibly elaborate and difficult disease: very personal, and our insulin requirements change daily or even hourly (depending also on what you eat, how much you move, etc.).

Based on this novel, I would say a lot of basics are handled nicely, but there are still many inconsistencies/issues that would give readers a bad idea of what it’s like to live with type 1.

The fact that we aren’t given any insight into what living with typ1 is actually like - instead of just focusing on the dramatic moments, but not giving us a good idea what a healthy day looks like for our protagonist, is also a little damaging. It appears as if getting the freestyle libre made all her issues disappear (not the case) and just because she doesn’t want to talk about it with other ppl, doesn’t mean that the readers can’t see, right?

→ in fact, showing us only the bad, dramatic parts (for cheap romantic plot purposes) seems to indicate that type 1 diabetes in this novella is really just that: a cheap plot trope in order to give the main characters a dramatic experience for the sole purpose of drama and shock value that is supposed to bring them closer together: (i.e. t1d is about more than fainting from hypos (and then heroically being carried by your lover) and losing weight from inadequate care (perpetuating problematic idealisations about appearance and weight).

That’s actually another thing: there is a difference between verbally addressing an issue (as a reason to subvert a specific toxic/problematic trope/theme) and perpetuating it through description and actions at the same time: see the conversation that they had in the pub: Her opinion about whether being skinny is more attractive is asked and she gives a feminist response (that her future lover agrees with) → only to then become that toxic ideal herself (becoming skinnier) for the purpose of making him worry *WHILST* he is falling in love with her. The entire plot structure is trying to make their road to romance *romantic* and idealistic (we, as readers, are supposed to ‘ooh’ and ‘aaw’ at every romantic gesture), which means that it also presupposes that dramatic scenes like these are romantic, and by virtue: worrying your romantic interest, as well as becoming the ideal that you’re ‘verbally against idealising’.

This is smth that happens in a lot of works: verbally subverting sexist/oldfashioned/toxic traditions and thereby becoming the ‘not-like-other-girls’ trope, whilst at the same time behaving in the opposite way and/or having things happen to you to make sure you still conform to that standard you’re supposedly trying to subvert.

All in all: not really impressed. But thanks for at least showing that T1D does not come from eating too much sugar.

This novella is linked to the Broken Hearts series and acts as a prequel according to other reviews. The ending, and even the beginning, all act as a standalone if you choose to just read Maid in Advertising. Our main character is featured as a secondary in her best friend Kira’s novel, Anything but Easy. This is my first novel for this author, so I am not able to judge the series overall, but I did enjoy this novella. Maid for Advertising was a cute entertaining novella that was a fun quick romantic comedy read.

Urvi is a 23-year-old, former medical student, who has started her academic career over again in favor of studying music (composing and singing). She works at a bar at night part-time while balancing her school work. Her family was supportive, both financially and emotionally, during her time as a medical student, but cut off this support when she switched majors. She and her family cut ties with each other since she switched to studying music. Everything together creates a stressful life for Urvi where she not only worries about her studies but also her lack of finances. On top of everything, Urvi also suffers from Type 1 diabetes and struggles to find the time and money to take care of her as the NHS in her area does not cover the costs of her supplies.

While working at the bar, she gets closer to one of its frequent patrons, Jack, who owns his own advertising company. He is older than Urvi by ~ 10 years (the exact amount is not stated in this story). He is very attracted to her, both looks and personality, and tries to talk to her when they see each other at the bar anytime that he can. Our story switches back and forth between Urvi and Jack’s point of views, which means that you know how both feel about the other very early on; there is no guessing how they feel and instead, the story is if the two of them will find a way to be together. Jack wants to ask Urvi out and finds the perfect time when he runs into her a coffee shop. Her vacation timelines up with his next advertising trip on a yacht in San Tropez in the South of France and he invited her along. A miscommunication occurs and Urvi is led to believe that Jack invited her to work on the boat, while Jack is led to believe that Urvi rejected his romantic invitation and chose to only come along as a worker.

There is a lot of misunderstanding that occurs between these two characters, so it seems like it is an obstacle after an obstacle for them to try and be together. It does not help the situation that Urvi believes she needs to hide her medical condition for fear it will affect her paycheck from working on Jack’s boat. There are many other miscommunications that occur as well and it’s entertaining as the two of them just can’t seem to find a way to express them to the other so they both are on the same page. There are hijinks that occur on the boat, which is just chaos at times for our characters.

Urvi and Jack were cute together and had great banter. Urvi’s personality is more outspoken, which balances Jack’s slightly more reserved personality. As this is a novella, there are times where you wish that there were more details added as it would be great to have the build-up to their feelings a little more. You do still get immersed in the story and characters, but there are times that you wish for more. The story flows well and it was very entertaining as the characters are a lot more outgoing than a lot of other stories. Overall, it is great for anyone who wants a fun and humorous romance read that is short enough to read in an hour or two!

**I give a special thank you to the author, the publisher, and Booksprout for the ARC to read and review. The opinions expressed are completely my own.**

It was a cute story. I give the author props for featuring an FMC (Urvi) with diabetes. It didn't take over the story, but it was part of Urvi's life, and we could see how difficult it was for someone who doesn't have the resources to manage the disease. I really loved Urvi's best friend and roommate, Kira, who is 100% on Urvi's side and will rabidly attack anyone who dares to look at Urvi sideways. Her made-up swear words were hilarious!

The relationship between Jack and Urvi worked for me, but I wanted Jack to grow and change more throughout the story. Like, I really wished he had woken up to the realisation that it's never worth it to compromise your values just to earn money. I wanted to see him kick his big client -- the smarmy, sleazy one -- to the curb and finally, FINALLY tell the guy off for being so condescending about Urvi. But we're not told what happened, so we don't know whether Jack continued to keep the guy on as a client even after Jack and Urvi got together.

That's a major flaw in the book: there's a lot that we don't know and don't get to see. We don't get to see the "villain" get their comeuppance, because we never get to see Jack telling them off nor firing them. The person just... disappears? By the end of the story, we don't know whether the person is still hanging around, just waiting to cause trouble for Urvi.

We also didn't get to see a proposal or wedding, but next thing you know, in the epilogue, Jack is referring to her as Urvi Bailey, so obviously they got hitched. We didn't get any proper description of what Urvi looks like; from her name and the mention that her mother cooks a lot of curry, plus the way extended family gets so involved in her brother's wedding, I'm guessing they're maybe of Indian ethnicity, but this wasn't confirmed anywhere in the story. The only description we have of her is that she has "long, dark hair" which "fell in sheets down her back", but all the Indian females I know (and I know many) have curly or wavy hair, not straight hair, so this was odd to me.

I thought Jack was rather a wimp. He hadn't approached Urvi after 1.5 years of crushing on her and seeing her at the bar regularly. He's a successful guy and the owner of his own ad agency, so there's nothing to explain why he wouldn't have the confidence to approach Urvi. He was also a wimp in not standing up to his smarmy client, and a wimp in not confronting the "villain". I mean, even after finding that the villain lied to mess things up between himself and Urvi, Jack continued to work with the person rather than kicking them out of the agency!!! Here's a quote: "I'd called X into my office and blasted X for interfering with Urvi. X feigned confusion and in the end I'd told them to bugger off and stay out of my way." Oh, very authoritative and decisive. It's a wonder any of his employees respect him as a boss. In fact, it's a wonder he can run a successful agency! No freaking consequences for what the person had done, no action taken. Just "bugger off and stay out of my way." My swoon-worthy hero... NOT.

Despite such a frustrating MMC, I still give this story 4 stars because, well, he does try. And Urvi stands up for herself. No caving just because he's hot, or losing her brain cells because she's too busy drooling over his abs. Thank God, because those kinds of heroines are getting to be clichés and I'm so tired of that. I also liked that Urvi is pursuing her passion despite family disapproval. As someone from an Asian family, I fully understand how difficult that is, how much courage it takes to go against not just your parents but your ENTIRE EXTENDED FAMILY! Plus, I loved Urvi's friendship with Ben, and I really hope Ben gets a book.

Susie Tate is one of my favorite authors, and I've read everything she has published, so I was thrilled to recognize familiar characters in this book - Kira Murphy from "Anything but Easy" and Libby from "Beg, Borrow and Steal". You will still enjoy this book if you haven't read these, but do yourself a favor and read them too. Kira is a hoot - she literally has no brakes on her mouth, and Libby's story absolutely broke my heart. All of these characters share common characteristics, as they have so much courage and intelligence, and never quit, despite all the obstacles thrown in their way. Ms. Tate's stories are set in Great Britain, and they always have happy endings. This is a novella rather than a full-length book.

This is Jack and Urvi's story. Jack works in advertising and is probably around 10 years or so older than Urvi. He knows nothing about her at first other than that she is lovely, clumsy, and he is attracted to her. She works part-time at the bar that he and his associates go to after work.

Urvi (whose name in Hindi means 'heaven and earth') comes from a family of professionals who have high expectations for her. Urvi went to medical school for a couple of years (with Kira) and disappointed her family by leaving medicine to attend a prestigious music school. Her family doesn't approve of her choice and cuts her off financially, so she is working long hours while working on her degree. Then life throws her a major curveball .... type 1 diabetes.

Jack admires Urvi intensely. He works in advertising, and he and his team frequently meet after work at the bar where Urvi works part-time. Their journey to a happy ending is not smooth. Urvi's health is sometimes precarious. Jack's team includes a very unpleasant woman who wants Jack for herself. She manipulates both Urvi and Jack into several major misunderstandings, including believing that Jack had asked Urvi to work as a server on a cruise where he had intended that she be a guest.

I was given an ARC of this book by the author. It was my pleasure to voluntarily read and review this book.

This is the sweet story of the rise of superstar Urvi Radia Bailey and her life before she became a star.
Urvi was a supporting character in several books in this series, but most prominent in the last book, Anything But Easy.
This book starts 6 years before, when Urvi and Kira Murphy are roommates. They met in medical school before Urvi dropped out of medical school. She left mefical school 18 months prior to pursue her passion in music. When the story begins, Urvi is a full-time student at the Royal Academy and a part-time bartender at night. Her parents and older brother disowned her when she left medical school, and she is struggling to support herself. This situation is compounded by her being diagnosed with Type I Diabetes a year ago. It is brittle Diabetes and she is struggling to control her sugar level.
Jack Bailey is a very successful, wealthy advertising agency CEO. He has been attracted to Urvi for 18 months since he first saw her at the bar where she works. He doesn't want to hit on her but wants to date her.
He sees an opportunity and invites her to attend a trip to Saint-Tropez that his company is sponsoring. A jealous, bitchy employee of Jack tells her the invitation is to work as staff, while lying to Jack that Urvi told her that she wasn't interested in or attracted to Jack.
The ensuing trip becomes complicated and includes an opportunity for Urvi to perform one of her own songs.
At this point, Urvi and Jack are in love with each other but get into each other's way. The HEA ends 5 years in the future at the same Bunt Fest where Barclay Lucas is glittered.
This is a short book, less than half the length of the author's other books, and is not available on Kindle Unlimited. It is worth buying and reading it.

Surprises for an Unlikely couple
Jack is in advertising. Lately he’s been entertaining some of his staff and clients in a neighborhood bar called the Dragons Den. Why? Jack has a secret crush on the little beauty who tends bar. Urvi is at university as a music major by day and bartends by night. She desperately needs money for her student loans, rent, and food…and… Urvi has a new luxury that’s tearing her apart; she is now a type 1 diabetic. Her condition is deadly serious and always on the edge of being out of control.
When Jack hears Urvi is off next week he invites her to a cruise in St. Tropez. He’s entertaining important clients and he wants her as his date…but… his jealous assistant Stella twists his request to “Oh he needs wait staff and the pays great”. Urvi does need the money so she goes on the trip bringing her hilarious, hippy, almost Doctor, roommate, Kira. The cruise is brutal; the wait staff boss is a nasty piece of work. Urvi is worked to death, gets little sleep, and misses most meals meaning she is about to crash.
There are several misunderstandings but lots of great characters in this story. I love when Urvi sings a song she wrote and everything changes for her. Jack is a lovely guy and he is perfect for Urvi. Kira is wild and crazy and wonderful, a true friend. Urvi’s sad life turns around and the ending is awesome. I LOVED THIS BOOK, LOVED THIS ENTIRE SERIES. Linda

Maid for Advertising is an immensely readable short story with as usual from this wonderful author a cast of great characters, full of humour, romance and just the right amount of angst.
Urvi is a music student, having dropped out of medical school much to the dismay of her now estranged family. To make ends meet she works in a high class bar where she meets Jack an advertising executive, there is a definite mutual attraction and when Jack asks her to come to the south of France with him for a trip wires get crossed when a bitchy female colleague of Jacks tells her it’s as a deck hand not a girlfriend, but with needing the money Urvi and her friend Kira a medical student sign up for the job.
Kira has been in this authors previous books, in particular her last book Anything but Easy, which is Kira’s story a few years on from this one and if you haven’t read it you’re in for a fantastic treat.
Lots of wonderful dialogue, some heart pounding moments when you’re cheering Urvi and Jack on, but above all this is another exceptional story that will thoroughly entertain you.
My very grateful thanks to the author for an ARC for my honest opinions.

How I love the books by Susie Tate! They are so British and swoony.

Here we have a novella about Urvi and Jack. We met Urvi in Kira's book at a point in the future. Urvi is a young (23) student who is studying Music and working to support herself after her family cut her off. They were not happy when she ditched her Medicine study and so she has not seen them for about 18 months. They do not know she has been diagnosed with Diabetes either. So, Urvi works in a bar and has met Jack around that time and they have become sort of friends.
When he asks her to accompany him to his boat in Saint Tropez, a miscommunication (and a horrid person) result in Urvi being part of the crew and Jack thinking she is not at all attracted to him....

We get both their POV so we know they both are attracted to each other. It makes for a delicious story about miscommunication, crushes, music, family's expectations.. Wish it had been longer. But you take what you can get.

I want the thank the author for granting me an ARC of this story plus I ordered a digital copy for myself. I am a big fan of the books by this author and highly recommend if you are into British romance.

Warning: Spoilery rant ahead!

It was really good for a novella, but the last six sentences of the book (and especially the last two) brought it down to a 3-star review. Like, I can understand and even get behind a pregnancy or baby epilogue when it's been talked about in the book as something the main characters want in life, but slipping it in there totally randomly and unnecessarily right at the very end really does my head in. If it had been part of the story arc that would have been one thing, but it came out of absolutely nowhere and literally jolted me - I was like, "what on earth does that have to do with the story?!" It actually really detracted from the story and ruined the ending in my eyes because it was so superfluous.

I actually don't usually bother complaining about pregnancy or baby epilogues even though it's not what I'm looking for in a romance book, since it's just a part of life, but this one was just so out of left field I was just like "huh? what?! THAT'S the ending?!" and I couldn't seem to help myself. That being said, the rest of it was quite good for a novella and if you don't mind totally random endings, go for it!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Cute, easy novella.
This is full of miscommunication trope with rich man/poor girl.
There was a bit too much of the diabetes part. It kind of went on and on for too long. And I would have like some more drama. There was a lot of setup with bitchie Stella and arsehole George, and then nothing it fell flat like the author forgot about them.
Kira was a hoot. I wanted a bit more depth on her.
Also, anything about Jack's family? How did he start his business? There was no background for him.
I also thought we were going to get a third-person flirt from Ben, but I did like their friendship, so I was ok, but it was weird that the author kind of alluded to that at the begining.
Super easy quick read, not spicy (only 1 scene, but good tension and kissing), so it's majorly plot over spice which I found good as it would have been weird if it was too smutty.
Like this author, her stories are interesting and well written.

Susie Tate is an author I always look forward to reading and this one was a great as her other books.

Jack and Urvi are attracted to each other from the beginning but misunderstandings lead to neither realising their mutual attraction at first. When Urvi is hired as a waitress on Jack’s boat, the two are able to connect, but not without a few more crossed wires!

I realised this was Urvi’s book who was briefly in Anything But Easy and we get to see Kira in this novella as well.

I never usually enjoy novellas as much as I don’t want the story to be so short, but this was long enough to get involved with the characters and I felt it lost nothing from the story. Highly recommended and as always looking forward to the authors next book!

I received this book as an ARC from the author in return for an honest review

Very interesting romantic comedy. Love Urvi, she's a warm character with the strength to accept the things she can't change and have no control over with grace. Her emotions are realistic but private, very regal and heartwarming. I was a little confused about Jack's assumptions, since he is a badger, I felt like he should have been more on top of things but his love for Urvi is evident. I also like Kira, she's very supportive and feisty. Although duly warned I didn't like the swearing, personally I have yet to figure out the necessity of certain harsh words in this genre. Great balance of humor, the laugh out loud kind, and serious realistic issues make this a very enjoyable and entertaining love story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

3.5/5⭐

This is a really fun story to read when you're stuck in a reading slump and want something light to read. Loved the humour in Maid for Advertising but the miscommunication trope wasn't my favourite.

The main character Urvi has type one diabetes. I've only read one other character with this condition (and that was a small subplot in a fantasy trilogy) and these two characters have helped me understand what it's like to live with it (although I probably still only know a small part of everything that's involved in diabetes). It was nice to read a story told from the perspective of the person who has the condition.

Spent the first half of the book thinking Urvi and Ben should get together, fully aware that wasn't going to happen. In the end, I'm fine with how it turned out (and the reveal at the end of the epilogue 😍. Love a happy ending)

Book's not on my reread pile though. TBR is wayyyy too long for that.

Definitely gonna check out Kira's story as well.

3.5 stars.

This book is shorter than the other ones I have read by this author. It just didn’t hit me the same way as the others, and I wonder if it’s partly for that reason.

** spoiler**

I know that this was a plot device, but I’m not a fan of TSTL heroines and the way this heroine managed her issue was far too risky for my liking. I felt like she was either too ineffective and passive to advocate for her own safety, or in denial over the grave risks and potential consequences of her situation. Either option didn’t say much for her character imo, and I prefer strong heroines. She showed strength and intelligence in other areas of her life, but not this part, which was disappointing. I know, I know, this was the main plot device, but it still bugged me. I can possibly blame my medical background for that.
