ok this is a perfect example of how people get drawn into Ms. Rylan's books!!!! Brooks having been locked up for a time gets out to make things right with his best friend's widow and low and behold he sure doesn't expect everything has gone to heck in a handbasket while he's been in. This is an awesome start to a new series that is full of promise!

Brooks: Dirty Misfits MC#1 . What a great start to a new exciting series by Savannah Rylan. This story had it all, drama, violence, suspense, betrayals and so much passion and undying romance. The story begins with Brooks, sent to prison for 6 years after a job that went bad, leaving his President and best friend Gage dead. Now he is out of prison and the only thing on his mind is who set him up to take the fall and his undying devotion and love for the one woman he should have fought for, his best friends widow, Raven. Raven for years harbored hate for the club as well as blaming Brooks for what happened to her husband, but most of all the feelings she has for Brooks that she has kept hidden. For years she wouldn't answer any of his letters but this didn't stop her from thinking how things would have been different if he only claimed her first. Now she finds out he is being released and will find her life is about to change as a plan is put into place targeting both of them . Upon his release his friend Porter is waiting for him, but Brooks can tell he is keeping things from him as they return to the clubhouse Brooks discovers the club has changed, his brothers are acting funny and it seems he is being pushed out with the new leadership . Now that Chops is President, Brooks can tell this man is not who he claims to be, especially with the direction Chops wants the club to take on. Angry he storms out and goes to Raven's house only to see a member of the Black Flags talking to her by the door. Raven is this feisty woman who was trained by her husband how to protect herself, when she is accosted in her home she is told they are looking for Brooks as they have been watching her all along. When she tells him she has nothing to do with the Dirty Misfits MC or Brooks due to her husband's death he asks her if she really knows the truth surrounding her husband's death. Brooks with no weapon other than his knifes starts a diversion to get the Black Flag member away from Raven. When they leave he tries to get Raven to talk to him. When these two are face to face all of the pent of anger from Raven erupts as she and Brooks fight but the desire between comes to the surface. When the men return again, Brooks has to get Raven to the clubhouse to keep her safe after she has told him what she learned from Sid of the Black Flags MC. These two will finally give into all of the love and passion that has always been between them, the chemistry between these two is explosive and full of raw emotion. Now Brooks will go to some of his brothers and give them his take of what happened years ago and that just maybe Chops has been involved. With all all of the twists and turns in this story, things are escalating as Raven hears Chops talking on the phone, she is caught and he threatens her to be quite. Now she pulls Brooks aside and tells him they are being watched by Chops and begins to tell him what she overheard and that Chops threatened her. Now they will work together to find out the truth as they realize both of them are in danger. In order to put a stop to Chops, he has to get the brothers he trust to help him end this threat as they find out he has been seen with the Black Flags all along. Raven is once again targeted as she is run off the road and taken. In order for Brooks to get her back he is told he needs to hand over his cut and quit the club. Will Brooks and his brothers get to her in time? Will this stubborn determined woman take matters into her own hand when she tapes Sid making a confession about what happened the night her husband was killed and the plans to take over the club? This story was raw, gritty and full of suspense, passion and drama with a thrilling ending as revenge still has to be achieved. Savannah Rylan has outdone herself with this new MC series, this series is going to be another drama filled adventure. Can't wait for Porter's story!

Wow, what a start to a new series!!!

Brooks is a member of the Dirty Misfits, but one night changed so much for him and his crew!!! So many things happened that don't add up. Brooks has 5 years in prison to go over every detail or missing information. But he constantly thinks of his best friend's girl/wife and the one that always felt like his. But the guilt over his friend's death has taken its toll. Will Raven ever speak to him again? What is going on with his club? Can he piece everything together in time before he loses another person?

Raven met Gage and Brooks one night and she was instantly attracted to both men, but when Gage acted first, she fell hard for him, married him and loved him with everything she had. But there still a piece of her heart with Brooks. But that tragic night changed everything. But when things start to go bad again, will she survive this time? Can she be happy again?

This book has so much, you won't be able to put it down...it has drama, violence, suspense, betrayals, love, lust, romance, mystery, passion and tragedy. The ending leaves you wanting to know more and more to solve the mystery. What will Porter's story reveal to us!?!? I received an ARC of this book from the author.

Raven, she was married to his best friend Gage. Brooks feels guilty about his murder and wants to take care of Raven, but, she won't even give him the time of day.

Raven met Gage and Brooks one night and she was instantly attracted to both men, but when Gage acted first, she fell hard for him, married him and loved him with everything she had. But there is still a piece of her heart with Brooks.  

Brooks discovers the club has changed, his brothers are acting funny and it seems he is being pushed out with the new leadership. Now that Chops is President, Brooks can tell this man is not who he claims to be, especially with the direction Chops wants the club to take on. 

Will Brooks be able to help his club and Raven? Will he need to choose one or the other?

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in the new Dirty Misfits MC series. In this book, Brooks is released from prison and when he returns to the MC, he finds things have changed in the five years he was inside. Brooks went to prison for his part in a raid where his best friend Gage was killed and Brooks was left with many unanswered questions. Brooks had sworn to protect Gage and he failed to keep his promise to Raven, Gage's widow. Brooks is also conflicted that he has feelings for Raven and wishes she was his woman. Raven has tried to put that life behind her and when she hears Brooks is being released, she wonders if she can forget the man she secretly wants to be with. Brooks also faces danger from a rival club and he doesn't know who to trust. I really enjoyed this new series. I liked Brooks and thought he was honorable and wanted the MC to be also. I think the new president of the MC is going to be more trouble in the coming books and i can't wait to see what happens next, good one.

For the past 5 years he's blamed himself and thoughts of Raven his best friends widow have gotten him through his prison sentence. Raven for years harbored hate for the club as well as blaming Brooks for what happened to her husband, but most of all the feelings she has for Brooks makes her feel guilty and like she's betraying Gage. When these two finally give into all of the love and passion that has always been between them, the chemistry between these two is explosive and full of raw emotion. With all all of the twists and turns in this story, things are escalating to a point it's like the old saying your waiting on a train wreck to happen. This story was raw, gritty and full of suspense, passion and drama with a thrilling ending as revenge still has to be achieved. I can't wait for Porter's story it can't get here fast enough!

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book and I absolutely loved it, it's the first book in a new series and it's off to a great start.

Brooks has just been released on early parole and he has so many questions to be answered, what happened to his best friend, Gage? Who's to blame for the drama that went down? But mostly he needs to know that Raven (his bff's wife) is ok. He's secretly loved her since they met but Gage got there first. Raven has always been attracted to Brooks, so when her relationship with Gage turned serious she put those feelings on the back burner but now it's been five years since her husband died and Brooks is back and they are all in danger from a rival MC. Can they finally have a hea or will someone closer to the club pull them all down?

I can't wait for the next book, the storyline is well-written and pulls you in. The characters are incredibly likable and want you to love them and hope no harm befalls them.

Start of a new MC series.
Savannah once again gives us characters we love - Rylan and Brooke. We get some good background information about the MC history, who their rival club is, and how things have gone to heck since he was in jail.
I enjoy learning about the members of the club and read each of their books.
In this one Brooks is getting out of jail and coming back to a club that has changed, and not for the better. The one thing he thought of was his best friends wife, whom he has been attracted to since they met. With his best friend dead he wants to apologize for not protecting her husband and make sure she is okay.
Their attraction is off the charts and they act on it.
This book lays the groundwork for the conflict that will run throughout all the books.
This is an honest voluntary review.

This is an new gripping read by Savannah Rylan, this is the first book in the series Dirty Misfits MC. Brooks is apart of the MC when he gets caught and sent to prison because he was set up for something he didn't do. The day he was taken in was a day he won't ever forget because he loses the one person that was not only like a brother to him but his best friend. He ends up spending 5 years of his life trying to survive in prison and trying to make sense of what happened and why his best friend died and why his friends wife Raven blames him for his death. Raven is the women he lost to his bestie, they both loved her but only when he gets out does he pursue her. Is is going to be Raven and Brooks or is he going to lose her too? It is a page turning gripping read with lots of emotions such as love, hate, revenge, regret and lots of twists, turns and plots.

Loved this! Great start to a new series!

Brooks has been in jail for five years still not understanding how he ended up there one fateful night. The only thing that kept him going was the thought of revenge on whoever put him there and the thought of the one woman who plagued his mind, Raven. He promised to take care of her when her husband and his best friend was killed, but there’s more to it than that. He has serious feelings for his best friends wife but he can’t betray his memory by trying to pursue her when he is released, can he?

Such a great story and start to a new series. I can’t wait to learn more about the MC and the trouble they have gotten themselves into. If you love bad boy MCs with a rep to protect and the women who ground them the you will love this story.

Great start to a new series!! The author once again brings an action packed story with strong characters in Brooks and Raven. She pulled me in from page one and had me glued to the pages right to the end with this thrilling story line. She brings drama and suspense as she weaves an action packed story. The emotions and explosive passion between them is painted vividly with her detailed and descriptive scenes. It's well written , moves fluidly and is an absolute must read!! I loved and highly recommend reading. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Brooks is getting out of prison where he's spent 6 long years. Doing a job for his club that didn't go as planned and left his buddy, Gage, dead. One of the first things he wants to do is check on Raven, Gage's old lady and see what he can do for her. But when they see each other, the chemistry is electrifying. Raven doesn't want to be attracted to Brook. What a fantastic reading experience and a terrific start to a new series. I loved it. Remember, if you want to read a book you can't put down, you have to pick it up first.

This is the first book of a new series and a great story to begin with.
After getting out of prison, Brooks finds Raven, his best friend’s widow. They vow to find out the real reason her husband was killed.
There are threats, unlikely partnerships, twists and turns to keep the reader’s attention. I think you will enjoy I received this ARC from Savannah Rylan in exchange for my honest review.

First book in a new series and this has it all, secrecy, betrayal, action.
Michael Brooks has just got out of the Pen and finds out that not all is what it seems in his club, not only is there a new Prez, but something doesn't sit right with what happened to the old one or to the night he was arrested and his best friend died, a rival club is also after his best friends wife to get to him.

This is a page turning story and there is a preview to the next one, Piston, which i can't wait for.

I thought that this was a great read and a terrific way to kick-off this new series. Brooks and Raven's story is rife with tension, emotion, drama, suspense, intensity, action and danger. With characters that were easy to become invested in and a meaty story that you are going to want to sink your teeth into, this book is a winner. Can't wait for book two. I am freely choosing to post an unbiased review.

New MC Series
This is Book One of the new series, Dirty Misfits written by the fantastic Savannah Rylan.
This storyline focuses on Brooks and Raven, widow of Gage, Brooks best friend and who was the President of the MC.
the storyline is strong right from the beginning as you are drawn in to all the club changes while Brooks was away and realizes his feelings for Raven. But, all is not easily attained or resolved in this book. Now I can’t wait for Book Two, Porter, comes out.
I’m wholeheartedly recommending this book for your reading pleasure. Peace.

After finishing five of his six year prison sentence, Brooks is still trying to figure out how things went wrong. He knows there were things that just didn’t add up and he is going to figure it out and make those responsible pay for killing his best friend and landing him in jail. His concern has been for his best friend Gages widow Raven. He loved her the minute he and Gage met her but didn’t have the nerve to step up. Now that he is getting out, old enemies want to make sure he is dealt with before he can figure out the plan and getting to Raven could be how they get him first. A great read of Brooks and Raven!

What a great new series this is going to be! Brooks has been a pretty emotional book. It's heartbreaking, infuriating and intriguing. Brooks and Raven certainly doesn't have an easy time of it, and when you add in problems galore within the club, well I'll just tell you it leads to tons of action and excitement. I can't wait for the next book! I believe there's lots in store for us.

Brooks is a great start to a new series. The plot is exceedingly intriguing. Brooks has just been released from prison. During the crime Gage his best friend was killed. Brooks has spent the last 6 years feeling guilty and wondering exactly what happened. He is determined to find out who set them up and to also ask Raven Gage’s wife for forgiveness. Raven hates the MC and especially Brooks for causing her husband’s death. The intriguing story-line and complex characters make this emotional story a pleasure to read. Packed with drama, suspense, action, twist and turns, passion and romance, Brooks will keep you riveted to the pages until the very end. If you are looking for an excellent plot, steamy sex, danger and of course romance, this book is for you.

DNF I'm apparently one of the few this didn't work for. I stopped at 38% chapter 12. I could have pushed through to finish it, but frankly, I didn't want to. The climatic situation that happens at Raven's house that put Brooks and Raven together was a jumped mess of unedited chaos. We are getting two different points of view but they stop and start at odd time, it doesn't flow at all. Then some things happen in Raven's POV that never happen in Brooks. Namely the two goons that are outside. The gunfire happens at two different times within the POV timeframes. There is too much internal dialog and even talking out loud to themselves. It's just not very well done. I found myself focusing on all the errors instead of the story so by the time they got safely to the club house I found myself not caring what happens next.

I really enjoyed reading this. Writing style was fantastic. It was fast paced, engaging, filled with action and romantic tension.
The characters were dynamic and easy to empathize with. The sex between Brooks and Raven was steamy and passionate, the tension and guilt between them making it intense.
I thought that was a nice touch though. I think it would have felt off if that guilt wasn’t there. They both obviously felt deep love and loyalty towards Gage, and we are right there with them as they try overcoming their doubts about starting a relationship that they’ve wanted since the first time they met.
It’s a hard read at some points. Raven’s dead husband, was Brooks’s best friend in the entire universe, he even calls him his Bro-mate at one point. Which he explains is a completely platonic soulmate. A brother of the heart. His confidant.
Who’s wife he’s always loved.
The tension and emotions are high throughout the entire book.
But I don’t have any complaint about that.
Unfortunately I do have a small complaint about the ending.
I feel like the big plot point was finding out why Brooks went to jail, what really happened that night that got Gage and Hyde killed. And the romance between Brooks and Raven felt almost second to that. More of a subplot than anything else, though that’s not to say it was lesser.
I don’t know.
I guess what I’m trying to say, is that the ending made it feel like the author was treating the “why”s they’re slowly uncovering as the subplot that can just be continued in the next book with a different couple center stage. While the romance of the book Kind of resolves. They of course are together by the end. But not in any way did the story feel complete by the end of the book. And we are going to start with Porter and his girl next...
Ok, here’s what I’m Actually saying. The ending felt like the middle. So if you’re like me and you abhor cliffhangers, I’d be cautious going into this. The main plot is sort of solved, but nothing is done about it. Like a cop with all the evidence and no arrest warrant.
And the romance is resolved. But only Just so. No time with them being an actual couple. Just the characters deciding in their own heads that they Will be a couple. I’m not even sure I remember them telling each other their decisions.
I think I’m going to read the next book, but if/when I do I will be hoping for a completely different kind of ending. Like maybe one that doesn’t feel so abrupt.

Really great book and couldn’t find the time to put it down and do anything else lol. Emotions between Brooks and Raven was brought to life so good that I started to think I was going to feel guilty for them! I was there for that rollercoaster of emotions between them, I completely understood why they felt the way they did and loved that they were able to move past it.
Brooks just getting out of prison was something that I wasn’t sure how I was going to take. I really liked the way they worked up to him getting parole and then getting to read about who he is as a person. While he may be in a club that does questionable things, he is a good-hearted person. Always making sure that Raven was taken care of and someone was always protecting her.
I wondered how things were going to go when Raven refused to have anything to do with Brooks while he was in prison. Him just showing up when the rival MC showed up to cause her trouble was perfect timing. Although, I think given a little bit more of an advantage that Raven would have kicked some major butt and taken at least two of those guys down.
That brings me to Raven, hands down love that she was so independent. She wasn’t ever worried about taking care of herself, she was constantly reminding herself that she could do it and that Gage taught her well. She wanted him to know she could take care of herself.
Loved the way the cliffhanger was done. Leaving that little bit of drama there at the end with all the new evidence coming to light. Interested to know what happens in Porter though, what kind of woman he gets and what happens with the club. Hoping to see Brooks take over as president, I think he would be perfect for that role.
