Sometimes it's weird to think that I discovered Silver Springs already long before the lockdown. Silver Springs has become my lockdown series, a comfort read where I always find characters warming my heart and making me smile. Slowly I'm making my way back to the office, out of the lockdown, but luckily Silver Springs is still going strong. I was therefore quite happy that I got an arc for this Calluna sequel, especially because Arthur always delivers.
With this sequel Arthur once more proves that it's quite possible to write a very hot book, while also having a gripping and exciting plot with a little danger. Yes, Calluna has four guys and Arthur makes sure that each of her guys gets a moment to shine, mostly subtly based on a similar scene or situation we've already encountered in the first book. And when normally I'm not a huge fan of too many scenes like that, Arthur writes all those scenes too well to not enjoy them.
In between all those tender and intimate moments there is a constant danger lurking in the shadows, quite literally. I love how Arthur builds this danger up. It's only in the finale that all the pieces of the puzzle click and that we get all the answers on the how and the when, but from the very start those pieces of the puzzle are already handed out. And all those pieces are spread out through the story quite nicely, not too much, but often enough to remind us that something's going on.
Arthur also uses this book once more to show us how amazing Calluna is as a character. I'm not a huge fan of the all tough up girls who almost seem to lack emotion, but Arthur created a perfectly balanced personality. Calluna is fierce, Calluna is brave, Calluna has confidence and knows what she's capable of (and what not), but she's also vulnerable at times. This makes her not only more relatable, but also quite realistic.
If there is an idea for another sequel, I'd love to read it!

Yes!! a story i found totally spicy with a touch of danger thrown into the mix with a new Mate with a snake appendage that will totally rock Calluna's world in all the good ways while totally freaking out and peeving her best friend Lars off in the process. The way you added a new mate was just genius with zu who likes to call Calluna Kitten and can read her mind that winds her up at first but ends up being a God send and was just amazing, Even though it had a danger factor you still managed to love Zu and laugh throughout the story with funny moments like her chaotic animals trying to eat motor bikes and the Harry Potter pun that poor Elios and Zu just didn't get. I loved seeing another side of her brothers Falcar and Nelcar that we dont always see very often and I'm rooting for them to find there mates some day and of cause I loved seeing her mates again Elias, Rhett, Damian and Landyon who just make you smile throughout the story and the love they still have for Calluna thats just so heartwarming and a great story to read.

The sassmaster is back and with a bang (pun definitely intended). Calluna and her four guys are living the best life with each other and her animals at the Beastie Besties. When she finds more animals being cursed, she tries to help them. Instead, her world gets a lot more hellish (to say the very least).
I literally binged both books, in one day! It can be read as standalone, but is highly recommended to, at least, read the first book, Calluna . She just radiates confidence and I love that soooo much. Her guys are so loving and honestly, #goals. We have several new additions that fit in her life perfectly! This was just a wonderful, fun steamy ride. I can't wait to read more!

Calluna is back with her men and hot dickity demon is this good. So we all know that Calluna is not the best with her magic at times. So when she tries to help a dog to keep from dying things happen and we should have seen it coming but we did not. So Elias, Landyn, Rhett and Damian are the most loving mates she can have. Dang girl is lucky too. I mean real lucky. So when she thinks that nothing happened to her spell, something did. Her magic disappeared as well as Lars shifting abilities. But Calluna feels and hears something else. So lets meet Zu. What is a Zu? How about a Demon God. So why is he there? Also we meet some more of Calluna's siblings. We find out that her dad is not gone and is trying to regroup. He seems to be coming after Calluna. Everything gets intense because why? Seems that Calluna added another mate to her harem. Are the guys jealous? Then out of nowhere daddy dearest strikes and dang it I almost died. My heart broke but was pieced back together slowly. The ending though, not going to lie. I cried whether that was happy tears or sad tears, you need to read and find out. Oh and this is definitely NSFW because you will be blushing the whole time. The spice level is OFF THE CHARTS!!

Calluna is back and so are her fated mates! Thought it was all one big happy family? All a happy ever after? Well apparently not!! Action, adventure, suspense, and so much steam, this had me hooked from start to finish. First we add a fifth yep a fifth mate and if that wasn’t dramatic or emotional enough then daddy appears and we all know how terrible he is and then that ending??? OMG! I’ve laughed, I’ve cried and I’ve gasped and now I’m all emotioned out!

Can we please take a moment to appreciate the hotness that is the demon god Zu!!! What a brilliant addition to Calluna's harem of men and now my new favourite lol. I still love Rhett, Damien, Landyn and Elias though and they were just the sweetest in this book. We need more of Lars. He is a great source of laughs and sarcasm. Calluna's father and her siblings make an appearance but not all of them have good intentions. Loads of steam, laughs and a bit of sadness too. Ive loved every book ive read in the Silver Springs series. Calluna Darkness Rising was a joy to read and a great addition to this series

I always love the chance to see what characters are doing after a series/book ends and this is the perfect example. Calluna is still fighting against her dad, and picks up an interesting new mate in the process. I love how Calluna's guys love her for who she is and their hijinks always makes me laugh. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Calluna and her mates are back, but nothing really goes to plan especially when she finds herself with another mate being added to the mix. And it's not something I expected, at first, I even thought the new presence could be the big bad, but how wrong was I. I absolutely adored Zu, he's definitely one of my favourites of Calluna's mates.
This book is so hot and I loved every minute of it, it's a rollercoaster ride from the first page and I loved being back in Silver Springs.

Oh I love Calluna and her mates. This book was soo much fun and her new mate is delicious. Some interesting new characters and some old foes pop up in this book. Lots of laughs and tears in this book.

I LOVE Zu!!!!! And I LOVE this book!!! It was panty melting HOT!!! Darkness is rising and it's up to Calluna, her mates and her siblings to figure who is causing it. It between there's enough heat to set Silver Springs aflame.

Full throttle drama and steam in this one. Continuation of previous world with some new twists added in. All your favorite characters are back with a notable new addition. Nothing in Callunas life would ever be called dull. I loved every minute of this book. Definitely recommend.

That was an amazing story. And boy did she really do something this time. Trying to see the dog and she did some good things in one very bad one. I love this particular series of books that have spun out and I hope she continues to write more. It's love the whole Silver Springs crew.

I freaking love Calluna!
I was really excited when this book came out and it didn’t disappoint me, It was all I was expecting and more.
This book has romance, magic, amazing sex scenes, it’s steamy and really funny, a perfect combination if you ask me.
Jewels could literally write a whole new series just about Calluna and her men and I’ll read all the books, cause Calluna is one of my favorites girls from Silver Springs. She’s so sassy and funny, I want her as my friend.
And Zu. OMG ZU! You need to meet him, I actually wasn’t a fan of him at first but I ended loving him, please read this book so you can meet him and love him too.

Holy hotness
This book was so hot it should have came with a sexy hot warning label lol.
Is it wrong I want to read more about Calluna because this was so good. I loved this book a ton. I’m buying the paperback when I can. This whole book was epic and holy crap good. Definitely a book I’d reread all over again.

This went in an unexpected direction but I loved pretty much every second of it. Minus, maybe the sorta rushed feeling end. But that could’ve just been because it was action packed and then complete emotional devastation before we hit the HEA in the epilogue. Jewels Arthur really had me worrying for a moment that my slice of joy that is the Silver Springs world might leave me a bit broken hearted for once.
Thankfully she didn’t. And Calluna gets her c*ck-filled happily ever after lol.
I really liked the addition of Zu and the way the men handled it; even Lan’s hesitancy and distrust was kinda perfect? I will say though, I couldn’t stop thinking about Futurama & the professor’s gargoyle Pazuzu 😅 and it made it hard to take Zu & his anaconda seriously if they didn’t stick to his shortened name. (I know, Mesopotamian god or whatever, but I watch a lot of Futurama; it’s a comfort show lmao)
The Elf Bros really grew on me in this one too… and I like that we now have a new sister, I’m a little on the fence about the new brother. But it would be nice to see the family dynamic later on down the road.

Jewels does it again! I absolutely love the Character Calluna. And her guys are all so wonderful! The Silver Springs shared universe such a great series of books, but I think Calluna is one of my favorites. I love that there's a few new characters and the whole dynamic between Calluna and her mates, Brothers and her friends all get tested... it was so much fun! And the steam! Jewels does it so well! I really need to have a book about Calluna's Brothers Falcar and Nalcor...they NEED to get busy...lol 😉 I highly recommend this book and the other Calluna books. NOTE: You should read them in order so you don't miss out on the back stories.

I LOVE when we get more from these incredible heroines and their hot mates, and Calluna: Darkness Rising gets readers right back into it! Calluna was introduced in the Spell Library series, and while each of the books can be read on their own, I do recommend reading at least the first book introducing Calluna and her men, which is book 4 in the series. I forgot how much I love these characters. Calluna is such a firecracker and when her magic goes awry, there is so much insane fun to come. With her mates (and a new one to boot) and brothers, they will have to work together to stop the evil that she accidentally unleashed on Silver Springs. Whoops!

Another fantastic read and great addition to the series. I absolutely love Calluna and her shenanigans. This time her shenanigans come with some serious consequences that are more punishing. But I loved every single drama fill moment of it. This story is filled with adventure, action, intrigue, and of course steamy romance to keep you hooked from beginning to end making it a helluva read. Calluna: Darkness Rising by Jewles Arthur is actually the 23rd book in the Spell Library Series. It seems almost surreal that there are 23 books in this series and each book is different and unique from the last, but they really are. that is a testament to the collection of awesome writers that contribute to this series. I love Calluna as her world is shear chaos. Just when we think she's settled with her hunky men and Daddy issues put to rest....well they come back in full force and well more chaos!!! i loved that this installment is non-stop the entire read!!!

Jewels Arthur never fails to impress, we have another amazing Calluna story set in the paranormal town of Silver Springs. I love the way that the author managed to weave her previous characters into this story while keeping the story totally original.This had everything I could have wished for, a little danger, a little humour and totally blow the thermometer through the roof hotness! I really do love Calluna and hope that one day we may see more of her but hopefully with a little less heartbreak for her next time!

This book, OMG, I could not put it down once I started. I had to keep reading until the very last page was read and then I needed more. It moves along at a wonderful pace making for an extremely entertaining and easy read. The characters are so amazing and you cannot help but fall in love with them and the story will grab you keeping you reading and turning pages until the end. This book is amust read, no doubt about it.

The final story for Calluna? I sure hope not as I love her being plus sized and owning it! She is hilarious and pretty and has it all. Four mates and a whole lotta love to go around. We meet Zu and Zu is a demon god and possibly another mate to Calluna. DOD isn't gone after all and we learn more about her siblings and how DOD is trying to get control of everything. Can her mates help out? Out with a bang comes to mind with this book! Fair warning it's spicy so no reading at work unless your home!

I love this series! I wasn't expecting how this book would unfold but I have to say, despite (or because of?) there being plenty of drama, it was an exciting read full of action, adventure, twists, chaos and steamy romance. It was fast paced, had old characters, and some new ones, and held my attention, beginning to end. I say to all the SS writers: Keep 'em coming! I can't wait to be surprised again ;D

This was an amazing addition to Calluna’s already wild ride of a story! I love Cal’s men so much already but I fell even more in love with them throughout this book. Then add in Zu…and I’m a goner y’all!
This book was sexy and steamy as all get out, chaotic (as is Calluna’s life lol), and beyond fun and intriguing! I love this whole group so much. Is was also fun getting to see under Nelcar’s frosty exterior a bit in this book.

This book did not disappoint! It was so great to see Calluna, her mates, all her crazy animals, and even Lars again. I loved Zu, and how he just fits with them all. It was interesting to find out more of Cal’s siblings - definitely potential there for their own HEA. And, whilst this story is steamy, it’s also hilarious. My new favourite curse: c u next Tuesday. Love it!

I love Caluna and all her mates and this book is just so good that It's like Zu was always missing! Zu was the mate that was missing and we didn't know it. I just love him, all about him. No wonder Caluna falls hard for him, he is delectable. Her father got what he deserves, and I hope he status wherever that migth be. And, a snake? Briliant! Another great book from the author Jewels Arthur.

This is another great story from Jewels! Calluna is still toying around with the serious Magic’s, and this time the consequences are a little more…punishing. Life is finally falling into normalcy and peace, but feelings flowing through the Elven siblings hunt at troubles on the horizon. Calluna’s got this, right? Grabbing your copy is the only way to know.
