Hell hath no fury like a MOTHER scorned.
From the writer of MInE, Underneath, and Save Her, comes another dark and twisted tale.

CARLA

Marcus Bull. Unremarkable. Unhinged. Un…stoppable?
He made my daughter's life, my life, a living hell and got away with it. Broke the rules and stayed smug, hiding behind his tiny tribe, like he was untouchable. I hate him with a passion. It's the only emotion I have left. Hatred.

And while the police said they could do nothing, I realised that I could do something. Because they taught me, indirectly, how to exact my vengeance.

They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Make that woman a mother and hell shall look like a pilot light, against a mother’s inferno. And a mother who no longer has her child? A woman with nothing to lose?

Satan would bow to her.

Loved it. Hated it. Addicted to it.

Bullied is a dark story which is twisted around truth and lies. One woman’s pain is spiralling out of control but the pains not just hers.

Carla lost her daughter but she can’t let go. Not until she can uncover the truth.

Three stories. More than three lives are wrecked.

This is one dark crazy car crash you won’t be able to look away from. Are you ready for Bullied?

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book is full of mystery and suspense. The plot cannot be unfolded without spoilers. This is another great book with a not so very nice story and I couldn’t look away.

BulLIED by Andie M Long the best five-star read of the year. I will start this by saying that I’m not telling you about, I’m just telling you why you need to read it, so if you want to get a grasp of the story before you read, pick another review, if you want to know why you need to read this compelling and emotional story stay tuned, as I don’t want to reveal any details of this story, other than the blurb which just made this one of my most anticipated reads. You know where a book has you so gripped you can’t stop reading, that was this one for me, and I was so excited as my husband was going suit shopping and he likes a place about 90 minutes away that you make an appointment with and its just a really lovely place, he shops and I sit with coffee and read usually so it’s my idea of heaven, they know us well so know not to bother me!! The only thing is that I couldn’t do it, I couldn’t read. This is such an anticipation filled, emotional read that my heart was in my stomach all the way, and I was on the verge of tears, of sadness, of anger and hopelessness. This was a problem as I am an ugly crier, like I look like I have been punched in the face not cried for 5 minutes. I love #DarkAndie and it was torture I sat on my hands for 5 precious reading hours as I couldn’t give the story my full attention, its that good it deserves it. I have no nails left as I bit everyone, and if I could have got my foot to my mouth, I would have no toenails left as it’s a true nail biter. (when you consider I have an interview in a couple of days and am going in with fingers that look like nubs you will know my pain, but I don’t care it’s that good a story) That’s why everyone needs this story, do not miss it, as I cant go into detail enough about how good it is. I’m writing this before I am even half way through and I will come back and finish it, as there is so much more to come, but I felt compelled to put words down right now. I have come back and I have nothing to add, it just got better and more twist filled, you will never know when the other shoe is dropping and there are more shoes in this story than in Imelda Marcos shoe closet.

This was a really great story - nice twists I did not seeing coming.
I enjoyed the mix of occasional POVs.

I listened on Audible and my only critique is the narrator was very monotone.

I received an ARC for a review.

I've read other books by Andie M. Long. She is quite the story teller, but BulLied is over the top! Such a YA psychological thriller, but honestly, everyone needs to read this. Ms. Long takes you into the minds of teenagers and clearly uncovers the way they twist their reality to bully someone else. When adults get involved, things go to a whole new level. BulLied shows you exactly why young people lash out the way they do and how those actions alter reality for many.

The suspense in this story is unbelievable. You think you know what will happen and then - BAM! - it's nothing like you expected. The twists and turns shocked me.

BulLied did get emotional at times for the reader will feel something towards the characters - whether the antagonist or protagonist - but some sort of emotion will be felt. One just cannot help it.

If you want a story that will leave you on the edge of your seat, BulLied is it! It's unputdownable!

Mix of emotions!

This was an interesting story that requires you to be emotionally ready for some anger, sadness, guilt and forgiveness. I was really pulled into this story, but there were a few chapters that did a lot of repeating the same things but in different characters point of view. This was necessary to get the full picture and some critical details, but a little frustrating as well. I am glad I did not get discouraged and stop reading because I would never have guessed the ending.
4.5 emotional stars!!⭐️

BulLied really gives you insight of a ripple effect.

This is a book that really makes you think. Your actions, betrayal, deceit, lies, words, and ultimately there lack of, acknowledgement. Oh the webs we can weave.

This story gives you the insight of lives being bullied. How ones actions and words do make a impact on those they target. As you read this story you will see that things aren't what they always seem to be. You realise ones life on the outside isn't what it's on the inside.

This book gives you several view points of characters but with different stories behind it. What they are thinking gives you some insight as the story unfolds. This story makes you reflect on your own actions, words, and how you may have impacted on another. Be kind. You never know what others are dealing with or suffering from behind closed doors.

This story was very intriguing and not at all what I expected. It was a good read. The twists and intertwining of events, in this story, you would have never have expected.

Wow!! This story has brought out lots of emotions in me. I hate bullying…. full stop. I am certain we’ve all witnessed it and sadly may have even been a victim. This is Carla and Lena’s story and I found it to be very thought provoking indeed. I was saddened to learn the reasons behind some of the behaviours of a few characters and what you read is regrettably someone’s reality. This story certainly affected me as the consequences of people’s actions were unveiled.

I thought Andie M. Long wrote this story brilliantly. The book is written showing the different perspectives of a few characters who play some part leading up to one dreadful and devastating event. Through reading the different views of those involved, my feelings towards the characters changed constantly and I loved how the author enabled this to happen. There are twists and turns throughout this book which enhanced my enjoyment of reading the story.

This review has been very vague and that is because I want you to - no need you to - go into this story blind and experience it for yourself. You won’t want to put the book down and I believe this story is going to stay with us long after we’ve finished it.

I was lucky enough to Beta read this before it's release. I make no secret that I don't do Dark so I was slightly apprehensive about the return of Dark Andie. This is a standalone book that focuses on a mum and her teenage daughter who is being bullied at school. Things start to escalate and more and more wild stuff is happening but is everything really as it seems? This book is so real to life that I think it makes it a bit more creepy because you could actually envisage it happening. I loved the fact that the book was sectioned off into parts and at the end of each part there was a huge twist which sent the story in a slightly different direction each time. It made you think right it's going this way and then had you doing a complete 360 when a twist happens which I thought was clever. I finished the book and you know you've had a good read when you come out of it thinking what the hell just happened and you are still thinking about it long after it's finished.

I've read a few of Andie's book and BulLied was one of the best. You think you know where this story is going and it takes so many unusual turns, it kept me on my toes, for sure! Understanding that this is based on a factual event that Andie suffered makes it all the more real. BulLied is a story of a mother's fierce love and protection of her daughter. But it's no all as it seems. We are led to believe one thing about all the characters in this book and then, BAM! Andie throws in a curveball so wide, we have to stop to take stock and a breath. It's hard to write a review without spoilers but suffice to say, whatever you think is happening, is going to happen, think again.

She's done it again with a book that twists more times than fusilli pasta. For me the the overarching feeling after reading this book was one of self reflection, looking at my own behaviour and that of those around me. I think this book will create a lot of self reflection in the way Underneath did.

I have been dying to get my hands on this book since it was announced! And by god it did not disappoint Andie M. Long is back with her dark stories and she’s badder than ever! If your looking for a dark suspense with lots of twists and turns! Then look no further Cos this is the book that’s been missing in your life! Andie M. Long is a genius with her creativity she’s dark, twisted, intense and she will blow your mind and you will love every single word she has put onto paper!

Carla has had her world turned upside down with the tragic loss of her daughter! Carla and her daughter Lena have suffered unbearable torture from Lena’s bullies... now with no child Carla has nothing else to lose! Those bullies better watch their backs because Carla is out for blood and she will stop at nothing for revenge because “hell hath no fury like a mother scorned”

If you have read “Mine” by Andie M.Long then you will absolutely devour this! I felt so many emotions whilst reading this book I felt blinding hatred for the villains in this story but who really are the villains in this book? Cos I promise you not everything is as it seems I also felt sadness, despair, sympathy at certain points in this book I found myself shouting in my living room my family though I’d gone insane 🤣🤣 this book is so cleverly written and so whitty Andie M.Long has thrown so many WTF moments I actually lost count there were certain points while reading this I thought that I was going to have a coronary!

I've read Andie Long's other dark stories, so I fully expected to be sucked in. I also expected this one to go places that would be shocking and twisted. My expectations were met and then some, but I don't care to admit that I had a hard time with this one. There are some personal reasons for that struggle, and no, they don't have anything to do with being bullied or even dealing with a bully, but that struggle was very real. What it came down to is that there were times I had to walk away for a bit, but these characters pulled me back every time. I absolutely had to know how it all turned out. This one is dark, twisted, emotional, gritty, and absolutely compelling. It is about one girl being bullied, but it's also about the impact on all those concerned - even on the periphery. It's also about family, and friendships, and how the reasons behind certain actions aren't always what they seem. How the answers aren't so cut and dried, how everything isn't usually so black and white and there's a lot more gray than we often realize. I'll say again that this book is not at all easy to read and so much of it is heartbreaking, but it's also a book that begs to be read if that makes sense. It's definitely not one that I'll soon forget.

WOW

I went into this book fairly blind just excited as it was a book from Andie and it was a totally different type of book to what I was expecting but that is in a totally good way.

This one features a mum who's daughter has been experiencing bullying and when things escalate it takes a dark turn that will break your heart.

Once I started this book I was hooked and didn't want to put it down. I really liked that this story is told in sections from different people so you get to see it all play out from their POV. It was very cleverly done and had me chopping and changing my mind as to my feelings on the characters.

Well done Andie on an amazing read. This one will stay with you after you finish. There is no way these characters wont embed themselves in your heart.

I received an advanced readers copy of Bullied by Andie M Long which is a dark psychological suspense thriller that will be released on September 21, 2020.

The book does come with a WARNING: 18+ contains dark themes

I absolutely love Andie's books! This is the first #DarkAndie book that I have read of hers and it definitely won't be my last. This book kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end.

This is a difficult topic that needs to be addressed and I think Andie did an amazing job addressing it. I loved that we got the different perspectives of the situation from Carla, Lena, Sophie, and Marcus. It shows that there is always three sides to every story.

I would highly recommend this book if you like psychological thrillers or suspense thrillers.

Bullied is a story that takes the reader on a journey of pain betrayal and self discovery.

Carla is a mother on a mission and she proves that there is nothing a mother won't do to avenge her child. The story starts with Lena who falls foul of some bullies and what goes from small soon spirals out of control. Carls was written as every parent with those feelings of hopelessness,of wanting to help but not really knowing what to do when everywhere you turn is a blocked wall. Lena has one loyal friend Sophie who is close to both mother and child. Marcus is the bully and soon Carla is on a one way ticket to get revenge.

I liked how the story is in three parts where we get to see the same events from different perspectives. There are so many twists in the story I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. A book that will have you looking internally at your own behaviour and actions.

Incredibly raw and real journey that surprised me as it gave me so much to think about. This has to be one of the hardest reviews I’ve ever written. To truly appreciate this story, you need to jump in with only the book blurb as your guide. What I will say is that Carla is a mother on a mission and I rode the roller coaster with her as she took this intensely emotional and jarring ride. I love how this story was structured which allowed the layers and intertwining moments to unfold in a way that constantly surprised me and kept me reading needing to know what would happen next. Truly a masterful look as the challenges life can deliver. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

This one was an interesting read. It's a different type of read then I usually read. There are different people's points of view in this one which was really helpful to get to see what was going on. At some points, I didn't like some of the characters but when I got to see what they were going through I could see why they dd what they did. This book touches on some tough difficult topics. I was hooked by the story and read it in one sitting.

Dark Andie is back and she sucks us in right from the start hook line and sinker... This is such a rollercoaster of a ride so be prepared of all the emotions that with assault your heart whilst you read. This book is a twisted tale of having to deal with the aftermath of bullies . There are t wrists and turns a plenty and you won’t know which way to turn or who is right and who is wrong because not all is how it seems. This book will leave you on the edge of your seat and guaranteed that you won’t want to put it down... absolutely brilliant .....

A twisted tale of a mother's pain as lies and deceit struggle to be contained and begin to spiral out of control. With twists and turns, mouth dropping unexpected stomach crunching moments this book has you gripped to the very end, needing more as Carla tells you the story of her daughter Lena and how she can't forgot the past.

Bullying happens every day in life and the people it affects seems to be just the ones directly involved. Real life hurt isn't easy and Lena and Carla justify a way in which reality needs thinking about throughout this book. A book of depth which questions many opinions as Dark Andie reigns high on her pedestal with her triumphant return.

A 5 star masterpiece

You have to be prepared before you read this because this will take you on a wild ride. I can't say too much or it will give the story away but from the blurb you can guess what this is about. I loved that we not only get the mother's point of view though, there are several. The last one was tying it all together. I couldn't blink while reading this and I don't even think I would have tried. I couldn't put this down.

Dark lovers add this one to your TBR! Bullied is not to be missed!

BulLIED is a mind mending, jaw dropping, twisted, dark suspenseful read of epic proportions! The entire book is one massive twisted unputdownable dark adventure.

If you’re a parent and have dealt with bullies, or even been bullied yourself you will identify with Carla and her daughter. Andie M Long has done an amazing job with this book, she’s used a mother’s anger and turned it into a brilliantly dark read.

I love Andie’s dark books but this one is my new favourite! Five epic stars! Must read!!

What a book with a lots of twists and turns! Just when you think you know the answers, the author pulls the rug from under you. There are plenty of red herrings. The ending was a horrific surprise. It seems everyone here is bullied or is a bully. Lena is a victim of her friends, her own mother, ex-boyfriend, and dad's girlfriend. Marcus is bullied by his father and a bully himself. Natalie is a bully towards Lena. Ironically, Carla is the biggest bully of them all, as the ending promises.

I have contemplated my rating for Bullied by Andie M Long for some time but I would be literally crazy to give this latest release by Andie M Long any less than five stars.

This dark psychological suspense makes you truly consider the lengths that you would go to to protect your children! The tagline is so fitting ‘Hell have no fury like a mother scorned’. What would you do when your life is encased with lies, betrayal and deceit? Be warned this story is not for the faint of heart!

I haven't read for some time and sometimes picking up a good book is exactly what the mind and soul needs. I have read many of Andie M Long's book  in the past, and I have to say, her dark side always takes me on a hurricane of a journey. Dark Andie is by far one of my favorite personas, and never disappoints.

This story is somewhat unique, it starts following the journey of Carla, the mum of Lena Haybrook, and her journey of revenge! There are many twists and turns throughout the story, and many that was not expected. Andie M Long does an incredible job at keeping the reader engaged by delivering the unexpected.

The author took me on a personal journey during this story. I saw a lot of myself in Carla as a mother that would do anything for her children, but maybe at the same time, our choices are suffocating them! Children need to make mistakes, to learn from them.

It was a real eye opening experience, something that I had actually never really considered before. Carla's story is so special and really does stand out amongst many of the books I have read over the years.

The author has truly written from the heart and incorporated many of her own emotions and experiences into the story. This adds a greater level of depth that you just don't get in many books.

I joined Carla on an incredible journey, I cried tears of sadness with her and moments of triumphs, it really does take an extraordinary author to take the reader on the journey of the characters.

I came across a quote some years ago and it fits in perfectly with this story and sums up how I feel; ‘Everyone has a dark side. How we expose it, distinguishes us’. Carla exposing her dark side makes us truly realize what we're capable of.

Can Carla make the right decisions or will she succumb to the darkness that's growing inside of her?

I have a real soft spot for Carla and truly believe she did the best she could, given the situation.

It really is enjoyable to find a book that incorporates different angles/perspectives of each character, I don't usually like the jumping around of perspectives but the author has managed to make this seamless, whilst giving the reader a greater insight into the developing thoughts and rationale of each character.

Hopefully not too much has been revealed here! You really add this book to your collection, you will not be disappointed .

Once you've read an outstanding book, expectations are high for any further dark novels by Andie M Long.

Whilst following Andie M Long on her social media platforms, it's evident that more books may be on the horizon!

Will lessons be learnt or will the past come back to punish the characters?

I really enjoyed this thought provoking book that weaves a tale that so many of us have experienced or at least know someone who has. Well written with great thought and detail I was drawn into the lives of these characters that consumed my thoughts.

Carla is dealing with an all too common problem; her daughter Lena is being bullied and she is really upset about it as any parent would be. Marcus Bull is perceived as a vile human being because maybe he is the one bullying Lena along with a few stragglers attached to his hip, but all is not as it seems and as you read further into this story you will understand why.
Told in four POV's which is always good as I get to hear what each characters is thinking, my only niggle and which it lost a star for is a lot of the narrative is repeated and that got slightly boring because I had read it before. Apart from that this book deals with some sensitive subjects which for some may be a trigger but none the less this is happening every day around us all and you have to commend this author for writing this subject matter which in my opinion is done extremely well.
With characters you will love to hate, situations that will make your head spin and your heart literally break at times, this book is a definite must read.

It all started with Lena getting picked on by Chole day in and day out. And one day Lena stood up for herself and gave Chole the fight she was asking for. Lena and her mother Carla finally thought the picking would be over but here comes Marcus wanting to be "the cool guy"
Well Carla, Lena's mom done took all that she can take. Marcus Bull, a student that went to school with her daughter has pushed her to her breaking point. Complaint after complaint was made to the police about how Marcus constantly harassed her daughter and destroyed her property. Not letting things fall by the wayside, Carla decided to take the law into her own hands since she felt Marcus was behind her losing her world but the betrayal she finds out about is worse than anything Marcus could have ever done.
A very good read but it had my #1 pet peeve when reading a book- repetition of scenes. When characters began to tell their part of the story, it was a lot of rehashing of what the initial character already told. The book still held my interest though, because I had to see how everything played out

I didn’t see anything wrong with the mother’s reactions. I just thought she loved her daughter. I disagree with Sophie saying Carla helped kill Lena. It is the depression talking to Lena.

Holy Smoke! I really thought I knew where this book was going...guess what? I was wrong! I should have known ..this author is able to surprise me over and over. So I loved most of the story. Is it shocking? Yes! Does it make me think? Yes! Is it relatable? Very much so! I did struggle with all the different POV after a certain point. It felt repetitive and to be honest I scanned some of those pages.

The characters are portrayed very well and real. I could empathize with them as well as say...What are you thinking?!

So bottom line...the story is great and really makes me think. It twisty and dark but yet some how seems realistic. I love these darker sides of this author.
