Billionaire. Casino owner. Tall, dark and deadly. Cristaldo Luceres is a potent force and a dangerous wolf to cross. Head of the House of Luceres, he’s used to fighting—literally—off any threat from rival houses. Wealth and women are his, but the one thing missing from his life is his mate.
Cristaldo’s on full alert when trouble comes to town in the beautiful shape of one Miss Everly Affini. The talented musician won a shot to play at the coveted Nero’s in Cristaldo’s Glittering Palace… and she could be the one, Cristaldo’s Forever Mate.
One problem is that she doesn’t think so—and isn’t shy about telling him—and another is that Rocco, an enforcer for the House of Ribelle, the Luceres’ sworn enemies, thinks she’s destined for him. Oh, and it’s the most powerful super blood wolf moon of the century, meaning chaos is unleashed.
Too bad. Once Cristaldo has the scent of his Forever Mate, he’ll fight for her…to the death if necessary. Everly doesn’t stand a chance.
Reader advisory: This book contains scenes of violence and bloodshed.
I have such fond memories of my grandmothers. They were both special in their own way and taught me so much about how to live my life that I will be forever grateful! Here’s the list of six top things they shared with me:
(1) Don’t say anything if you can’t say something nice about someone. I think this is my favorite one as it has kept me in good stead all my life.
(2) Never be late. Doing so makes you think you’re more important than someone else. You’re not!
(3) Life is too serious to be taken seriously. Keep a sense of humor, it will help get you through the hard times. They were both right about that one.
(4) Share what you can with those in need. Know what is your burden to bear, and what is not. This one has kept me sane over the years.
(5) Don’t be a critic. Critic’s don’t create, they only tear down. This helps me when reviewers say unkind things about my work. I try to remember that they probably just need a hug today.
(6) Do the best you can do at everything you do. At least then you will know you gave it your all.
Thank you, my beautiful grandmothers, for being strong and sharing your gems of wisdom with me. You did more good than you can possibly know. Hugs, January Bain
It’s present day but for Cristaldo Luceres—alpha of a clan of werewolves that runs Las Vegas—tradition runs deep—all the way back to Romulus and Remus founding Rome. Cristaldo and his brothers manage an empire that includes the Glitter Palace casino—and they will fight to the death to maintain their primacy. It’s good to be a werewolf, Cristaldo sometimes reflects, but the one thing he’s missing is a forever mate. It’s been so long since he was even interested in a woman he’s bedded; he isn’t sure that he is fated to even have a mate. And then he meets Everly. She’s a Canadian musician who crosses his path when her band is selected to play a three-day gig at “the Glit.” She’s not like any of the women he’s ever known but he, unfortunately, reminds her all too keenly of the abusive, controlling guy she left behind—with a restraining order to keep him far, far away. But call it fate or call it biology (and maybe it’s a little bit of both), neither Cristaldo nor Everly can deny their primal attraction to each other. This is the first in a series about rival werewolf clans, passionate matings, and political maneuverings. There’s terrific local color, great characters, and action both in and out of the bedroom. The phrase “page-turner” applies.
A girl band gets a chance of a lifetime by winning a contest to play at one of the most prestigious casinos: The Glitter owned by the two Alpha werewolves Cristaldo Luceres and his twin brother Lucian. Cristaldo’s wolf is restless and bored, so when he is told that the band, The Sirens, had arrived and set up, he knew he needed a distraction.
Everly Affini and her two band mates: CleoAshton and LaylaBello are riding on a high after their rehearsal. When Cristaldo comes to check that everything is ready for them, Everly’s body reacts in a way that surprises her. She can feel the lust, dominance, and utter power radiating off of him and, instead of making her nervous, it turns her on like nothing else has.
The story, told in both Cristaldo’s and Everly’s points of view, is intense in a sexual way. This is also in a time for momentous occasions. The blood Moon which happens rarely, creates a time for werewolves which intensifies every emotion and action of their daily lives. Each wolf finds it hard to control their basic instincts and as Cristaldo is an Alpha werewolf of a strong pack it is worse than normal. Then you throw in the fact that he finds his true mate in Everly and his world is not only turned around it’s turned inside out. Poor Everly has no idea of what is going on with her as she notices that her hearing and body felt different. Then there is that extreme attraction between them. One look and they can’t keep their hands, or lips off each other.
Cristaldo is extremely dominant, loyal to a fault to his pack making sure they wanted for nothing. and would do anything to keep the world from finding out about werewolves. He is protective, possessive, and absolutely confused at her refusal to give into the pull of lust, and attraction toward him. He is not all badass, there is a sweetness buried deep inside and only Everly, and his brothers, see it.
Everly is a woman who knows what she wants, and her whole life is wrapped up in drumming for her band and trying to make it big. She is hoping to help her family in Canada financially. She doesn’t have a great track record with men and the last one she dated, she ended up having to get a restraining order on him. She is a strong woman and doesn’t allow Cristaldo to boss her around.
There are a few things that I had some trouble with. One is Cristaldo’s sexual drive and how he only thinks about getting her into his bed. There is not even a hint of romance. I thought she was a lot stronger character to keep from falling into his arms with only a token fight. I thought the main conflict in the story was resolved a little too easily.
This is an incredibly hot, story full of sex and secrets. The characters are fun and well developed with their own desires but were being pulled in two directions. Their instincts ruled their bodies and I wondered what they would be like as a couple without the Blood Moon controlling them. If you like hot possessive sexy werewolf men who will do anything to get and protect his mate, then would be a wonderful book for you.
Everly is a strong independent woman, she's had to be with the past that she's had. She's also a phenomenal drummer who has hidden depths, even from herself. I enjoyed following her journey of discovery and seeing things unfold between her and Cristaldo (which was pretty damn hot). I would, however, have liked to have experienced Everly's initial transformation with her and seen how she reacted to her wolf and see her dealing with how different life was about to become.
I'm glad that this is only the beginning of what I'm sure will be a fantastic series. I think it shows werewolves in a slightly different way to what has been about for a while. As a bonus, if you're a standalone lover then this is perfect as the ending doesn't involve a cliffhanger. However, you can totally see that there is much more to be discovered...... Cristaldo is a twin so......

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Cristaldo is a powerful and wealthy man in Vegas. He is also a wolf and in charge. He, like his brothers, wishes for a mate to share his life with. Everly and her band have gotten the chance of a lifetime. They are going to be playing at the Glittering Palace. She needs to be able to help her family and be in charge of her life. Cristaldo knows that she is his forever mate. Everly feels a strong pull towards him but denies it as long as she can. They are perfect for each other, more than she realizes. Their story has drama from the other houses, a rival wolf, secrets, family, lust and love. I really enjoyed the book. I thought it was a really good storyline that drew me in from the beginning. I am looking forward to book two in the Sin City Wolf series

Exciting and sexy with more than a little danger, Howl follows billionaire casino owner, Cristaldo Luceres as he tries to woo his forever mate while battling a rival clan, who believes they, rather than him, have the right to her. Let me tell you, the hero is hot! Did I mention he’s a werewolf who can tell when a woman is aroused, and they’re usually all stirred up around him, but the heroine—she is resistant to his arrogant Alpha claiming. Let’s talk Everly Affini. Strong and talented with a love of family that matches Cristaldo’s, she might just be perfect for him. I don’t want to give too much away, but I highly recommend this emotional and sensual romance.
Cristaldo Luceres is so sexy, he turns women’s heads wherever he goes. Add to that attractive package charisma to spare and the fact that he is a billionaire, and he is just so much catnip to the ladies of Las Vegas. However what they don’t know won’t hurt them. Namely, that he is also a werewolf, a member of an ancient tribe dating back to the original founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus.
Cristaldo has a twin brother, Lucius. And while they may pick up women and pleasure them while in the same room, they do not share any of them, not like their younger twin brothers are wont to do. Each of them yearns for a forever mate, a seemingly elusive goal, but one long desired.
Everly Affini is the drummer in an all female band by the name of The Sirens. Winning the opportunity to play at the grand Glitter Palace in Las Vegas is like a dream come true. Things are finally beginning to work out for her, still struggling after a painful break-up. Even so, when she is first introduced to the owner of the venue, Cristaldo Luceres, she has to fight her attraction to the very sexy man. Not going there, no way. It doesn’t matter how much he seems to be attracted to her. That’s just too bad, too sad for him. The band only has three nights in Vegas, than back home and she won’t have to see his very handsome face ever again.
Among the various houses that comprise the werewolf society, the House of Luceres’ main rivals are the House of Ribelle. When a few of them show up at the Sirens’ concert, Cristaldo realizes he must put a stop to their attempts to claim Everly for their own. Especially since he’s decided she is his Forever Mate. And heaven help anyone who gets between them.
I’m not gonna lie, this book is one hot read. But it’s also romantic and fast-paced and very interesting. Sure, you know at the beginning that these two are meant to be but you can say that about any romance. It’s watching them get together that’s the fun. Cristaldo is sex on legs, and Everly is one damn strong woman who is nobody’s damsel in distress. Together they make a dynamite couple.
And to think, this is just the first book! I’m predicting that the next book will be twin brother Lucius’ book. My further guess is that his love interest will turn out to be the mysterious cardcounter mentioned but not seen in the first book. Only time will tell. Looking forward to finding out.
Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. Cristaldo is a strong alpha wolf who happens to be powerful, wealthy and owns a Casino. man in Vegas. Cristaldo and his brother want mates to share their lives with. Everly and the band will be playing at the Glittering Palace, Cristaldo knows that Everly is his mate. Everly denies him as long as she can, the chemistry between them is intense. There was drama from the other houses, a rival wolf, secrets, lust and love.

Everly and her band mates win a battle of the bands and a three night set in Las Vegas. Unknowingly, it puts Everly in the middle of three wolf packs and she is what they have been looking for. Cristaldo can barely keep his hands off her but knows she is his forever mate. Things between Everly and Cristaldo are very steamy but will they be able to be able to make it together? I really enjoyed this story because of the werewolves, steamy scenes, and the plot.
Fast and fun and steamy. Loved the storyline with poor Everly who comes to perform in a casino and gathers more attention than she wants. Cristaldo who owns the casino immediately realizes that she can become one of them. A rival pack also knows this and also want her. Some action and plenty of chemistry and steam. Loved it!
Cristaldo and Everly's story - a very engaging story that I totally enjoyed reading. Full of intense action, suspense, drama, and secrets. Be prepared for some sizzling steamy scenes and interactions between some awesome characters.
This book was absolutely fantastic and will keep you hooked from the beginning until the end. The storyline flowed throughout the book and it has it all from chemistry to romance and heartbreak and action packed and suspense and just a fantastic book.

This is my first read from January Bain and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Alpha shifters in a casino how can you not enjoy it. There was hotness and plenty of suspense. This is a easy flow well written. I highly recommend this book.
Cristaldo, billionaire werewolf and head of one of the 3 werewolf houses in Las Vegas, believes Everly, a drummer in a small music group, is his Forever Mate. Now he must win the fight of his life to keep her from a rival house and prove to her that they belong together. Sizzling hot romance between Cristaldo and Everly. Wonderfully vivid descriptions. Great strong character and intense scenes keep you hooked. A great read.
I liked the premises for the story but had a bit of trouble connecting with the heroine Fast paced and steamy with plenty of action Full review to follow
Just had to say that the journey of writing this particular novel, Howl: Sin City Wolf, took a lot of blood, sweat and tears, and that's no cliche! I hope it offers you an escape from the real world. xxoo
Sin City Wolf: Howl is a fairly short and easy to read novel. I read it in only two sittings, over only a couple of hours in total. So, if you’re looking for a quick paranormal read with a good dose of werewolf action, you’ve come to the right place!
Cristaldo is the arrogant billionaire owner of a Las Vegas casino. And he just happens to also be a werewolf alpha. Everly is a drummer in a band that is performing at Cristaldo’s casino. He takes one look at her and knows that he wants her, and will stop at nothing to get her. Not even a challenge from a rival pack deters him. And he certainly isn’t put off by attempts at discouragement from Everly herself. But while she is pushing him away, she is also finding herself helplessly drawn to him. Everly doesn’t understand why, but she knows there’s more going on that what she can see. And boy is she in for some surprises!
January Bain has done a great job here of inviting us into the world of the werewolf packs of Las Vegas. I enjoyed the detail given to their canine mannerisms, as I really felt like I could picture what was being described (although at times I did find the frequent sniffing around the women got a bit creepy). I’m definitely a fan of when an author makes the extra effort to not just ‘tell’ us about the shifters in a novel, but to actually ‘show’ us. And I thought that was done well in this case.
I did find this book a bit difficult to like in parts though. I’m not really a fan of explicit sex scenes just for the sake of a sex scene, and I thought this book had a bit of that going on. It seemed like some of the spicier scenes really didn’t have a lot of feeling behind them, in that they were driven by ‘werewolf urges’ rather than any emotional or romantic compulsion. That’s not to say there was no emotion involved, as the two lead characters did acknowledge budding feelings for each other, but I still found myself skimming in several parts. But if you’re a fan of a walk on the spicier side, then you may well love that aspect of Sin City Wolf: Howl, as it has spice to spare!
So for those of you who are fans of a bit of spicy werewolf action, come hang out with Cristaldo for a couple of hours and you won’t be disappointed. And don’t forget to check out that gorgeous front cover!
My thanks to the author and Goddess Fish Promotions for the opportunity to read this e-book.
Cristaldo was definitely very alpha, though he met his match in Everly. She was strong minded and thought that she knew what she wanted, until she met Cristaldo. The heat between them was steamy, and the danger was ever present. Between secrets, lies, and differences in status, these two found a way to believe their inner voices and come together when needed. I recommend this story and look forward to the next one.
I received a copy of this story through Goddess Fish Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
Cristaldo Luceres is a billionaire and owner of the Glittering Palace in Las Vegas. Cristaldo is one hot dude. He has all the women just swooning at his feet with just one glimpse. Cristaldo is the head of the House of Luceres and a very powerful werewolf. Cristaldo like all single werewolves is looking for his forever mate. Cristaldo is the type of werewolf that takes care of his clan and will do what he says to keep them safe.
There’s a new all-woman band in town and playing at Cristaldo’s own place the Glittering Palace. One of the band members, Everly Affini the drummer, whom Cristaldo takes a liking to with that first look. He knows right away that she is his forever mate. The thing is he may have to prove to her that he is her forever mate.
When Cristaldo first lays eyes on Everly his wolf knows that she is his forever mate too. His wolf has spoken up and said his piece on the subject never to be shut up again. Cristaldo’s body tells him that Everly is the one. He must claim now and fast as there is someone from another clan who has seen Everly and wants her for his own mate. Cristaldo is prepared to fight to the death to keep/win his Everly.
I have been looking for a great werewolf series for a long time now and I think I have finally found what I have been looking for in Howl. I love the characters and the world-building and the super blood wolf moon. I love the connection between forever mates. I can’t wait to read more from this world to see what is to come. I am going to truly enjoy this series very much.
Howl is a fast-paced read with lots of hot werewolves with some very hot scenes. Cristaldo and Everly have some very hot scenes that really turns up the heat. Whenever these two are together it is time to call in a couple of hot firefighters to put out those roaring flames.
If you like hot werewolves then you better run and grab your copy of this hot romantic book, Howl the first book in the Sin City Wolf series today to begin this hot adventure! Howl is very hot and intense! Whoa!
