Eva and Desmond with Blanche
Eva has a horrible life. Her stepmother and twin half-brothers can't seem to stop making her life miserable. On this particular Sunday, Eva is having a hard time staying awake at church after getting up before the sun to make sure the roast her stepmother has requested for dinner was ready before they left, along with her other chores. Then when they get home and she has gone to all the trouble of getting it on the table, she's told that she will not be eating! She goes to her loft bedroom and pulls out the paper she has hidden and decides that she's not going to take it anymore. At 24 years old, she writes a letter to the man whose advertisement she has looked at many times. She finally receives word and purchases her train ticket. When she tells her family, at first they are shocked, but then the insults begin again. She's told she can't leave, that she's ugly no one will want her and that she will be back! Only she resolves that she will never return! When she gets to White River, South Dakota she is very excited. What she doesn't know is that Desmond was not the one writing her, his best friend Henry was and Henry has only told Desmond the day before. Since she is early she decides to spend the night in town, then ride out the next morning to surprise her intended. Only about half way there she meets a man with a little girl behind him on his horse. While asking for directions they begin to be shot at! What is happening? Will they survive? Misfortune and mayhem descend in a vortex of intense encounters and deadly tactics as the blurred lines and crushed perimeters solidify while limitations are amplified and enforced, kicking down walls and bringing the heat, exposing the brilliant quirks and defying bents, reaching deep for every ounce of strength in a fierce surge of preservation and determination, exploding this hot little number to life spectacularly. The attraction and chemistry collide with such intoxicating intensity, showcasing such boundless emotions and infinite affection, drawing our characters closer, binding them to one another beautifully. The characters are complex, genuine and realistic with traits and qualities that balance and blend, with amazing depth and diversity and enough spice to add an extra kick to the mix. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so rich and lively it feels as though you're part of the story instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Neither is he expecting a young girl to show up on his ranch. This odd three-some travels a route fraught with danger as they try to reunite Blanche with her parents and along the way learn to care for each other.
This is an exciting western romance that had me from the first page. I received a free copy of the book but my review is honest and voluntary. Anyone who enjoys historic western romances must read this book!

Exciting Adventures and Happiness
I received an ARC of this book from the author, Etta Foster, and this is my voluntary and honest review. I loved this very entertaining and exciting book about Eva, Desmond, and Blanche. Eva responded to an ad for a mail order bride to find out when she arrived that she had not been writing to Desmond but his best friend. Desmond refused to marry Eva because he was still living in the past when he lost his daughter and wife. All that changed when Blanche became a stowaway on his wagon after she escaped her kidnappers. Eva agrees to travel with Desmond to return Blanche to her parents in Montana. There is a lot of excitement with chases by the kidnappers, meeting up with Indians, and out running a tornado. I highly recommend this book. You will have to read it to find out if Desmond changes his mind about taking Eva as his bride.

A Beautiful Love Story!
Desmond lost his wife and daughter after the child wandered while they were having a picnic. Months late, his distressed wife went out in a snowstorm and died after Desmond found her in the snow. Thus, we have the beginning of this beautiful love story.
You will need to read this suspenseful story. You will meet a mail order bride who was ordered by a friend, an Indian friend who saved them when they were in danger by tornados and kidnappers, and a delightful little girl who escaped her kidnappers and hid in Desmond's wagon. Read this book to see how it all turned out.

Another great book in this series of historical western romances. Eva was a mail order bride for Desmond but he had no idea that she was coming because his friend Henry had been the one corresponding with her. Upon arrival she meets Desmond who is trying to take a young girl who had snuck into his wagon while he was at the livery. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill

Etta has written another great storyline. Lots romance of action, adventure and romance make this a good read. Desmond and Eva have both had difficult lives but fate brings them together after a little girl shows up unexpectedly. What will happen next? Will they get their HEA?I would recommend this book to anyone interested in a good read. I received this ARC in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I have freely written here

Great Read
Watching the story of Desmond, Eva and Blanche unfold kept me turning pages. The loss each endured and how much braver Eva was to move on and also little Blanche after being sold by her horrible parents to a cruel man who would sell her to people back east. The friendship they forged with the Lakota who fought by their side all the way to freedom was incredible. A must read to know if there was a happy ending.

I really enjoyed reading this book! It has a lot of different things going on. First, the person that wrote the letter to the girl, was the best friend of the man that the girl thought it was. Next, there was a child hiding in his wagon that he didn't know about. I recommend this book to anyone who loves romance and mystery in the same story!

Wow, if you want a nice quiet peaceful uneventful story, you might want to look elsewhere, but if you like some excitement, interesting characters, heart and heartbreak, then start reading. Etta Foster has crammed all of that into this book. I really enjoyed it and loved the Paul Harvey moment in the extended epilogue.

How much craziness and danger happen to a group of people. I loved how it progressed and the people that joined the group to return Blanche . The bonds and friendships that resulted were precious.

Etta Foster did it again with a great book. Desmond lost his family and withdrew from society but a 12 year old girl and a mail order bride changes his life. This book has drama, suspense, fighting and of course love.
