What the!? That was the lamest ending. I know its setting up for a sequel, but still.

******Major Spoilers ahead******

He leaves her in the pharmacy bathroom when she ran in to take a pregnancy test, what the actual fuck?

So we have Paxton, her recent life has been crappy (broken engagement, lost her publishing job because her supposed best friend didnt believe Paxton when she told her that her husband hit on Paxton, thus losing her best friend and any future in publishing) so she runs back to mom and dad, who she also hates. Supposedly she walked in on her dad screwing another woman and is upset her mom didn't leave her dad, the sheriff. Paxton is now an alcoholic loser who has no plans but to complain. Oh did I mention her failed suicide attempt...? Yeah, there was that too.

Then there's Connor, president of an MC that's gone straight, he just got out of prison for tax evasion (which he didnt do, it was his accountant). He sees Paxton, wants her, orders a background check on her, digging up her entire past. Creepy.

They date, they fuck, then Connor screws her over by declining a publishing job offer Paxton really wanted. Paxton finds out and is justifiably pissed.
But Connor's MC has also been having problems with a rival MC who just killed one of their members in cold blood while the guy was with his daughter, wth? In any case Connor takes his MC off the straight and narrow to avenge his fallen brother and kills some of the HK MC members. Shows up bloody and Paxton is scared and runs away, determined to take that job.

She drives all the way out there, asks the guy for the job, and he surprisingly wants to give it to her. But as they're discussing this, members of the HK MC show up and kidnap Paxton, then proceed to torture her and just when they're about to gangrape her, Connor, and the now lawbreaking sheriff (her father) and his deputies come to save the day, but the main enemy Vlad gets away.

Somehow Paxton just brushes all the issues with Connor under the rug and forgives him. And decides to stay with him.

In the big finale show down between more rival MCs, Connor has clearly taken his MC firmly off the law abiding path (considering he steals a bunch of drugs they found) and Paxton's father gets shot in the head but is hanging on to life. Connor gruesomely leaves Vlad for dead. Asks Paxton to marry him, and they get hitched 2 weeks later while her dad is still unconscious in the hospital.

Then back to the whole pharmacy on their wedding night and Connor left. What the actual hell?

I dont think I want to continue once the next book is out.
There were errors like Paxton suddenly referring to her broken engagement as a divorce. And some of the things that happened were just too stupid.
It was interesting and better written then some of the boring as hell crap I've been reading on these free reading apps, but I dont think it's worth the wait, especially with that incredibly idiotic decision Connor just made. There is no way he couldn't have told Paxton or even taken her back to the MC compound. Deon could wait that extra 15 minutes or whatever. Stupid.

Utterly ridiculous. While I love a ridiculous plot this was a bit too much. I’ve never been a motorcycle club girl, but I found the killing sprees and general chaos too silly- two stars. The sex scenes were rather steamy which earned the extra star but would have enjoyed more sex and less killing.

Great storyline constantly keeping you on the edge of your seat. Just a touch of smut with a perfect ending.
