This book is fine until the writer can’t figure out how to write a strong female without making the male look weak and crazy. Not only that, but the female lead in this book - Mara - is grating. She’s constantly making mistakes but turning them around on Kaden whom the writer makes more stupid and pathetic as the book goes alone. She’s even having an emotional affair (sometimes physical but the author excuses it) and somehow she never tells him. Then when he finds out and freaks, she runs away - on the advice of the character she’s having the affair with. It’s only one of many situational irritations about her character in this book. She’s constantly whining about one thing or another - unusually how her mate doesn’t respect her. However, he really doesn’t do much in the book to disrespect her once they’re together. Overall, you can fly through it. It ends on a cliff hanger. I suspect more is coming. Hopefully she grows up in the chapters ahead and realizes how she’s had just as much of a hand in messing up her life.

This book is okay….It’s a very slow progression in the storyline, but the story isn’t bad it just can be told a LOT faster! The main female character isn’t mature and seems pretty naive and juvenile at times but for the most part flips back n forth between making adult decisions and doing and saying dumb stuff which I can’t tell if it’s to
drag out the story or is it the author trying to show the characters ignorance on certain topics. I don’t want to
Spoil the details of the book but if you know NOTHING about werewolves or vampires she goes into detail about both….🙄 It just got tedious at times.

I also like more some sex and steam in my books. I respect the main character is a virgin but once he mated her she’s still acting like she’s in high school, especially with how shy she is with sex. A part of me is grateful she’s not leading him on but then she really does act like she’s a blushing teen when it comes to the human body. So that’s not for me. 👎🏾

The narration was okay again on this front I couldn’t tell if it was the book itself or the female characters reading voice/tone slowing down the story. It wasn’t the worst I’ve listened to and it wasn’t the best.🤷🏽‍♀️ I will say when Kyle and other male characters started to read their section the story picked up some but you’re so far into the story by then that you just want to get to the end….

Interesting concept. I love the sneaking in though the windows bit, but as the book kept going things were getting more and more rushed. Then poof, it was the end.

Update: that was apparently only part 1 of 4. I read the rest and I wish I hadn't. I'm sorry, but cheating in any form is not for me and should also be advertised. I'll leave it as a 2 star because part 1 was still decent, the last 3 parts were the a similar story told over and over. The author even reduces Kaden to ashes. He rolls over in the end, its so sad. He was a shell of the person he was in the first part.

there were lots of great parts. but i progressed from not really liking the FMC to REALLY not liking the fmc!! she was impulsive & immature & doesnt take accountability for her mistakes. & i was under the impression that kaden was a legend...whether it be good or bad. but after being with her, she juz kinda ruined his character for me. but i couldnt stop reading it til i was done. so this is juz mho bout the whole thing

This was a four-book series and the first two were okay but the third and was torture to get through. A lot of Mara saying Im not being taken seriously, im so mad at not being included in decisions… and acting bratty and Alpha being stupid. This was it for me. DNF the third or fourth.

Good storyline and characters that I read in the Galatea app. You do have to wait for chapters to load which can be frustrating since some take a full day.

Was originally a 3 but heard song and the MMC of this book came to mind!! If a character arc in a story can conjure in my mind then it automatically gets a 4!! The development of the MMC makes the book worthy..
