Hayes: The Brothers of Hastings Ranch Series Book 5 is by Katherine E. Hamilton. The seven brothers live and work on The Hastings Ranch. It was left to them at a young age when their parents both died. And Graham took over to keep the ranch running and viable. Hayes is the quiet one of the family and he has managed to set up a horse operation on the ranch and Graham lets him do it.
Hayes breaks horses as part of his operation. He seems to be a horse whisperer. He decides which brother rides which horse and which one almost isn’t allowed to ride at all. He secretly teaches Julia to ride after she has a bad experience on one. She wants to surprise Graham.
Alejandro Garcia and her daughter come to town after her divorce. She works as a hair stylist. When his sisters-in-law discover her, the guys end up getting hair cuts too. Since Julia wants her to fix her hair for the wedding, she comes around a lot. Will Hayes take her as his wife?

Good characterizations, as to be expected from this author. Its been a while since I read the previous stories in this series and they were all good. That being said: there were many references to the family members in an apparent effort to update or introduce them. It became too much and boring at times. Although I enjoyed the book, I would have preferred more about Ally other than vague references to a past bad relationship. She push/pulled Hayes constantly and as a lonely guy, he seemed to love it. Oh well. Ending nice, but incomplete. Obvious marketing ploy to sell next book in series. Sorry, I just had to put it out there. Although I rated is a 4 as I like the easy writing style, this one doesn't quite live up to my usual 4 stars!

This was a great story. Each brothers story has been about their personalities and their pursuit of a love for their life. Hayes was the brother who didn’t feel he needed a family until he met Ally and Ava. Things changes for him then. Enjoy his story.

The most beautiful of small town series

This series is one of the most beautiful small town, family series I’ve read. Each book is as good as the last. It’s clean and wholesome and has a group of family and friends that a so supportive of each other. Anyone that reads them will fall in love with the Hastings brothers and indeed their beautiful strong women

Headline

I really don't understand why these have to have a headline. In Hayes story they talk like Julia's wedding is a couple weeks away then closer to the end of the book it talks like spring. I don't like that I've read five of these books and no one has gotten married and having babies. Even thou everyone fell in love so fast.

Another excellent book in The Brothers of Hastings Ranch Series. I can never get bored reading this series. Hayes is one of my favorites amongst the brothers. I love the love they all have for one another and their loyalty to their family. Highly recommended!

Great story

Hayes is quieter & the horse trainer. He sees & understands people's reactions & feelings. He surprises his brothers when he falls.
Ava is the star of the story: so cute, so fun & full of life. She has Hayes under her spell instantly.

Once again I enjoyed the continued series of the Hastings brothers. Each one a dream come true. Hayes is a kind and honest man and Ally is as sweet as they come. Throw in little Ava and let the fun begin.

I have to say I have a soft spot for Hayes as he is the horse trainer! I really loved how he knew little Ava would respond to the puppies! I love Tick! Had a few of those hard to redeem horse's back in the old days! Great writing!
