I loved this book! The chemistry between Ella and Connor is off the charts. I'm totally left crushing on Connor and envious of Ella - we've all felt that way about fictional characters, right? Ella's hang ups were totally realistic to me, maybe hitting a little too close to home, so she drove me a little bonkers with her wishy-washyness toward Connor. But you know it all worked out in the end! Very satisfying HEA.

Terrific romance - highly recommended!

I love the witty and insightful way the author let us into the mind and heart of Ella. She was such a delightful character. And Connor was patiently heroic while showing just enough insecurity and vulnerability to reveal his cinnamon roll gooey heart.

The grand gesture at the party was an absolute delight! I loved every bit of that scene and wished I could have been there in person. The intimate scenes are perfectly balanced between emotional depth and steamy detail, and the rollercoaster emotional journey -- for both of them -- feels real and honest and completely relatable. The HEA was solid and heartfelt.

There are some truly ingenious lines in this book, far more than I would expect from such a new author. There is certainly great potential here. This book is every bit as good as the first, and I appreciated how the author included Logan and Rebecca in this story. This author is definitely on my must-read list. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I really enjoyed this book, well written with a fleshed out storyline despite its relatively short length.

Ella rails against her wealthy family seeing their interference as an effort to rule her life. When involved in a shooting she chooses to allow one of the other people involved,Connor, help her rather than call her family. Instalove (on Connor’s part) occurs and they start spending more and more time together whilst Ella is battling her family about her sisters inane wedding.

I loved both Connor and Ella and didn’t want the story to end. The spark between the characters is great, and their relationship is filled both with sweetness and fun as well as spicy hotness!! If you want a fun romance with characters that will stay with you, this is a book to read.

Ella, 24, is caught in a robbery at a pharmacy, head butts the robber but ends up injured and in the hospital. Connor, an injured ex Navy man, now professional football player was also in the pharmacy and came to help Ella and also reinjured his ankle. They were both taken to the hospital and Ella agrees to say that Connor rescued her so he will get good publicity and hopefully be cleared to play again. She agrees to stay with Connor temporarily until they know her concussion is better. Ella had been sickly as a child and her parents were overly protected and now as a healthy adult she wanted to be independent. Connor and Ella grow closer but will she be willing to give up some of her independence to be with Connor? Will the thwarted pharmacy robbery lead to love?

I thoroughly enjoyed this story about the football player and the girl fighting for her independence who come together. Ella has been trying to prove for years that she was healthy and able to take care of herself in all situations. Even though she seemed to have things under control in the pharmacy she agreed to say that Connor had “rescued” her. She didn’t want to get too involved with Connor because she felt she would lose some of her independence and would only agree to a temporary fling. The author did a great job showing why the characters acted as they did and this was a fun story to read. The epilogue was a perfect ending for their story.

Ivy Hunt's sophomore book in the Wrong Place, Right Time series, Not a Perfect Save, is another well-written, steamy and funny story - this one a "fling to forever" romance. Connor and Ella's meet-cute is hardly adorable - they are both in a New York City bodega and get caught up in a robbery. Connor's attempted rescue does not exactly go as planned, and it is really Ella that saves the day. But for publicity's sake for the Super Bowl winning New York Titans player - and because Ella wants to avoid an overnight stay in the hospital - she agrees to say he was the hero, while he gives her a place to stay for the night. Connor is instantly attracted to Ella's bristly, self-protective self, and while she won't consent to a relationship, she proposes a fling - and Connor sees the perfect opening to make the girl his.

Connor and Ella have so much chemistry, their banter highly entertaining throughout, and both characters are engaging, grounded and authentic. Ivy Hunt has a way of writing to draw you in and make it so you can't put her books down. Not a Perfect Save scores a huge touchdown (even though I still don't like football ;0 )

Such a great story! I love how the author was able to make the heroine BOTH a kickass, independent woman AND a vulnerable wallflower who needed help but was too proud to acknowledge it. The hero, Connor, is a pro football player and the perfect match for Ella right from the start. Their meeting is one you won't forget! This is the second book I've read by this author. Looking forward to book 3.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the second book in the Wrong Place, Right Time series and it did not disappoint at all. Connor and Ella are involved in a robbery and it all spirals from there. The instant attraction and chemistry between them is great. This is a sweet romance with some heat in there also. I enjoyed the characters and their story

Loved loved loved this...

Yes! So excited that this second book in the series is out relatively soon after the first. I loved Logan and Becs' story but totally fell in love with Connor and Ella from the very start and they might be my favourites now. Especially after the bachelorette grand gesture. Just perfect... Again, well written characters that are engaging from the start and a great story that flows and is a pleasure to read. I need more! Can't wait to read Logan's story next. If you enjoy well written and smart stories with great characters you'll love this book and this series.

Ella saves Connor from a robbery and things progress from there. I really enjoyed this book. The dialogue was fun and well written, with a few layers of storyline which I like. Though not a complicated story, it was enough to have me relaxed and reading well involved. well was dramatic, intense and steamy In places, with some fun thrown in. A great story!

Not a Perfect Save is such a sweet romance that finds a big football player falling for a woman he attempts to help save during a robbery. Things go sideways from that attempted save but once safe they find they have a deep attraction for one another. Unfortunately, the heroin is a bit reserved in her feelings and the hero works to help change her mind regarding their romantic situation. This is a sweet romance, with steamy moments, angst, traumatic moments and so much more. Both characters are very loveable and you find yourself rooting for them from the very beginning. If you are looking for a great sexy romance give Not a Perfect Save a read, you will be glad you did!

I’m hooked to these characters, they are all such great guys!
Connor is the best and quite perfect actually. I love how sweet and caring he was towards Ella. She on the other hand wasn’t this loveable at times... how she kept pushing him away.
The scene in the weight room was fantastic, can’t wait to read Jake’s story! But the best moment was at the bachelorettes party! You just have to read it...
These books are addictive, well done Ivy!

A Romantic Escape to New York

Ella and Connor are the sweetest young couple, who find themselves caught up in a fling that feels too good to be true. Especially for Ella, who's convinced she knows people, and that Connor isn't the type of guy–to handsome, sexy, successful and charming– to want to stick around with the likes of her. Ella's the ugly duckling in her posh and beautiful family so she's convinced the off the charts attraction and easy companionship she finds with football star Connor comes with an expiry date.

Hunt delivers the same smart, snarky voice, witty banter and laugh-out-loud one liners that, if you read book one, you'll have come to expect.

A meet-cute (debatable), an NFL player, and a socialite are the MCs of this story. Connor and Ella were interesting in their getting to know each other, for him it was insta-love whilst she's guarded.

I loved that it was Instaconnection and not instalove. There was something there; a tug or a pull to each other. It was different, refreshing, and much more plausible than instalove. It grabbed my attention right away and before I realized it I was halfway through it!

I think it was realistic that she assumed it was temporary. I liked that he wanted to explore more. Although it seems like most books are opposite (the girl has to convince the guy).

In short, I loved it. It was an easy read.

Ella and Connor meet in unlucky circumstances, we’ll not fit them in the end. They’re both very likeable characters and seeing their relationship blossom and the chemistry building between them is hot!! A HEA for all.

This was a good read. Connor and Ella meets during a robbery. They end up spending time together and of course fall for each other. The problem is that she has some issues and this complicates things. Luckily it all works out in the end and they get their happy ending.

I absolutely LOVED this story of Connor and Ella. Connor is such a rare find... a one woman guy not into the player ways like you would expect from a football player. He’s attracted to Ella and is ready to be patient and wait for her. Ella is the opposite; afraid to commit for fear of being left, ok with a fling but nothing serious. I loved the progress of this book and reading about Ella and Connor and their relationship.

A really fun romance, Ella comes from a rich overbearing family meets Connor a football star during a robbery. A very well written story full of lovely dialogue and great by-play between the main characters. Some steamy scenes and emotional scene make this a very satisfying, engaging read. This is book 2 in the series but works perfectly as a standalone. I have read both the quality of the writing as just as good

Beyond labels

I read Ms. Hunt’s first book and nabbed this one as soon as it came out. I’m embarrassed to say it’s taken me quite some time to read it, but I’m glad I did.

This novella is easily consumed in a couple of hours, and I love that. There’s a great meet-cute, lovely premise, powerful dark moment, and a satisfying happily ever after. I could relate to Ella – the less-than-perfect sister who is always being compared to the perfect one. The sister who watches from the sidelines. The one who is good enough to dump responsibilities on, but not good enough to be invited to the cool stuff.

She doesn’t believe herself good enough for Connor – the pro football player. The handsome one. The one who could have any woman he wants. And yes, they were thrown together in unfortunate circumstances, but Ella can’t figure out why Connor keep coming around. Connor can’t figure out why Ella doesn’t see the amazing person she is. But Ella labels everyone and she makes sure her perception of them fits into those nice little boxes. Life doesn’t work that way, though, and it’s up to Connor to help Ella see what’s right before her.

I’m enjoying these books and definitely looking for the third book in the series. I can’t wait for Connor’s friend Jake to get his comeuppance and I love seeing Logan and Rebecca as their relationship progresses.

This was a quick read that had me smiling, laughing, and swooning! My only complaint is that I wish Ella put her foot down when it came to her sister, or that Connor had encouraged Ella to stick up for herself.

This is the second in a series but I enjoyed it much more. The writing style is quick, the humor had me laughing uncontrollably and the steamy scenes were as good as they should be. The couple is brought together by fate during a robbery and although they both acted courageously, he is portrayed as the savior, to satisfy his team's PR. Ella considers herself as the ugly duckling and cant believe that someone as successful and charming as Connor could possibly fall in love with her. But Connor is the most adorable character and he hasn't let his fame get to him, he just wants the girl... He tries so much to take it slow and never takes advantage of her situation. Even his groveling is so clever, showing that he listens to her always and knows what she wants.
Totally recommend it!Hope we will soon get a book about Jake with the 5 sisters....
