The Red Diary is a mixture of emotional plus suspense. The story is based on a boy named Rihaan. Our protagonist lives in an orphanage named Ashiyana. He as a normal orphan kid dreams of a family coming up to him to take him along with them. Alas, he isn't adopted by anyone. He makes friends but they go away.
Finally when Rihaan gets adopted. He is happy but comes to know that he is being adopted by his maternal aunt. He gets curious and what to know about his real parents but she promises to tell him only when he turns 21. All the things are written down in a red diary. When will Rihaan get this diary and what does that diary holds in is the final mystery of the book.
The narration of the book is good. The words used are simple and easy making it good read. The language used is lucid. Plus it's a well paced plot.

There are only few authors who display sheer sense of diversity in weaving the magic of their words . This is my third novel from the same author but her every book has been strikingly different in terms of stories though binded by a common theme of giving some moral lessons

'The Red Diary' is the story of Rihaan who lives in an orphanage longing to find his parents which he feels exist in some part of the world. He has some close friends ,the best amongst them is Ina who is adopted by a family and hence had to vacate Ashiyana which leaves Rihaan sad, gloomy and in despair. Gradually with the passage of time ,most of his pals are adopted leaving him with a sense of inferiority . One fine day , he finds that a family has taken him into custody and to his astonishment,it turns out to be his real aunt Arpita. He tries to find out more about his parents from her but all the secrets are written in the red diary that will only be known to him once he attains the age of 21.

What does this diary holds?
What happens to Ina?
Is there more to Arpita than what meets the eye?
One needs to read the book to find all the answers.

The book is an outstanding amalgam of suspense and raw emotions. It combines lots of learnings in very few pages. How orphans stay and grow despite all odds is well encapsulated. The constant strifes and trials and tribulations of life faced by one and all is also elegantly presented.

In all , a promising one time read.

Emotional read

The plotline is decent and different. It has raw emotions of a young lad who is in an orphanage and loses all his friends as they start to get adopted. He wonders about his family and his long for love and family helps him to stay determined. And how he gain and lose relationships in his young life.
How his desire to know about his parent's whereabouts disturbed his thoughts, but he is a strong character.
The climax is quite dramatic, but it was good. How "The Red Diary" unveil a secret about his parents.

It is a good short read, which will depict orphans and their mindset. How they become mature at such a young age? How they live as one big family in orphanages? The best part of this book was it has shown 3 types of orphanages owner. First one MRS. Patel sweet and motherly, the second one Rude and pathetic, the third one rich and sweet nature. How kids develop themselves under these types of owners.

First of all let me tell you this this book reminds me of Oliver Twist. The story is different, the characters are different, even the plot is completely new but it manages to give me the Oliver Twist vibe. You need to understand this over here is that Oliver Twist was one favorite novel . The book tells the story of Rihaan and mystery of his parents.
The book is pretty well written. I really liked the orphanage part and how realistically it has been presented .
The characterisation was the strong point of the book.
Overall I think is was a great book and would recommend it to all the Oliver Twist fans

I really like the story, the story shows all the human emotions and one can easily feel these emotions when reading the book. I really love the narration, the language is simple, unique and the cover is so nice. There are many characters and every character got justice.

Now the story , rihaan lives in an orphanage named ashiyana. There he likes ina but soon she got adopted and thn he met shivi but destiny has some other things waited for him. Then soon he got adopted by his maternal aunt and whenever he ask where are his parents his aunt says that she'll give him the answers when he is 21 years old. But why what are the reason behind this? There are so many questions which u can answer right after reading the book so go grab it.

This was a refreshing read as the storyline was something different than what I have been reading these days. Rihaan is an orphan and the story starts by showing his life in the orphanage and how despite having friends and a caretaker who cared about him how lonely he was. Soonthings begin to change but will Rihaan adjust to the nee beginnings or will he miss his old life and friends?

Rihaan’s character was good and kind and interesting. The way he advised Ina according to what was best for her, the way he coped with the loses and embraced the gains was admirable. His character was very real.

The story was also well written though slow at times and I believe it could have been a bit more exciting as I found myself losing interest. Still it’s a good read for thosw who like diversw stories and real characters.

A tragic yet positive tale of family and friendship.

My Ratings: 3.5/5
Rihaan spends his childhood in an orphanage named Ashiyana. After losing all hope in life, things seem better when his long lost aunt, Arpita, comes to take him away. Though Rihaan considers himself fortunate to finally have a relation, he still yearns to know about his parents. His life is going much better than his days in the orphanage but all he craves is to know the truth about his parentage. What is the mystery behind it and why doesn't Arpita, want to tell Rihaan the truth till he turns 21? Read the book to find out.

What I liked about the book:
-->A simple yet heart touching story.
--> We immediately feel empathy towards all kids who do not have parents/family and have to face many difficulties in life, all alone.
--> It sends out an important message that under the right kind of leadership and administration, an orphanage and its kids can also thrive and rise to the top.
--> The characters of Arpita and Shivi, who are shown to be intelligent, strong-minded, and kind, which is inspiring to read.
--> The bond between Ketan (Arpita's love interest) and Rihaan. It feels good to see Rihaan finding an elder brother cum fatherly figure via him.
--> The bond between Arpita and Shivi. It feels good to see that Shivi has someone who understands and supports her.
--> The character of Mrs. Sabharwal, which throws light on many aspects of our hypocritical society.

What I did not like about the book:
-->The time-lapse was a little mixed up (Arpita was 26 when she adopted Rihaan at 12 years. But she is told to be 32 when Rihaan is 19 after a passage of 5 years)
-->The way Rihaan takes Shivi (his friend from the orphanage) for granted and behaves in a very offhanded and rude manner with her.
--> Rihaan chasing behind Ina (his love interest) through various cities seems a little absurd and unbelievable.
--> After the time-lapse Rihaan is shown to be between the ages of 19-21 but there is no mention of his college or what he is doing after completing his school education.

Quotable quotes:
—> Conversations clear many a doubt.
—> People have begun to accept everything these days without a word.
—> We shouldn’t give up without trying.
—> In the long run, luxuries in life do not matter. What matters is love.

The Red Diary by Neelam Saxena Chandra touches an important part of our real world. Every child deserves good care and unconditional love from their parents. But not everybody is lucky to have the life they deserve. When circumstances fiddle with our destiny, we may end up with undesirable results. But the key to happiness is not giving up and work hard for your dreams.

Rihaan is the centre of this story. His attitude towards life is remarkable. While growing up in an orphanage, he learned all the bitter truths of life. This gave him maturity beyond his age. His determination is another strong point in the story. Whether in the pursuit of his parents or his love interest, he never gives up. This quality leads him to success no one imagined.

The story might be a bit cliche and the writing is flat at some points. Other than that, this is a nice heartwarming story.

FAB - BOOK REVIEW OF "The Red Diary" by Neelam Saxena Chandra

Genre: Fiction (Romance)

Rating - 4/5

QOTD: Do you love sports?

"The Red Diary" by Neelam Saxena Chandra. This book talks about family, love, friendship, relationships, and how an orphan leads his life in an orphanage. This book is about our protagonist Rihaan, an orphan living in an orphanage called "Ashiyana" as he doesn't know who his parents were. In that orphanage, he is in love with Ina, who is also in love with Rihaan. Talking about Rihaan, he is a sportsperson who also played a match to get some money to buy beds in the orphanage and win that match. This way, he is not only a sportsperson but a great asset to the orphanage. But then comes the twist in the story when Rihaan's mother's sister named Arpita comes to the orphanage to adopt him then the actual story starts with a twist that is Arpita says that she will let the truth which is to be told Rihaan will be revealed on his 21 st birthday. Until then, it is suspense for all of us to know who were the parents of Rihaan. With that suspense, the story goes on. We will then get to know that a girl named Shivi is in love with Rihaan, whereas Rihaan is wondering about the love of his life Ina.
.
The story gives us a suspense thriller because we need answers to 4 questions.
1.Who are Rihaan's Parents?
2. Will Arpita reveals the truth on his 21st birthday for sure?
3. Does Rihaan loves Shivi?
4. With whom Rihaan will be in a relationship?

The answers to these 4 questions will make you read the book throughout. The book's plot is proper, and I haven't found it challenging to connect with the story as the story's dots were connected correctly with a good field. The language is lucid and elementary. The book's emotions will take a toll on you; one will connect to them so profoundly. The writing flow is excellent, but I wish the book cover page might be a little more attractive as it is not up to the mark but except that this book will definitely take you through many things at a time which is the book's specialty.

Rihaan is an orphan living in 'Ashiyana' orphanage with other kids. He is a talented boy and sportsperson.
Ina is also an orphan and Rihaan's friend . When she is adopted and leaves for Chennai, Rihaan is devasted . This adds to his worry over who his parents are and he starts asking questions . But later he befriends Shivi who is also an orphan.
One day, his mausi (mother's sister) Arpita visits orphanage and adopts him. He had to leave Shivi and is sad but underneath he is bubbling with excitement over finding his parents .
Though , Arpita says that she will reveal the mystery of his parents only when he is 21 ! Now, what was this mystery... Read to find out !

So , this book is not all about mystery . There's also the story of Rihaan growing up and what happened to the orphanage. Him being in love with Ina , searching for her ,in turn, Shivi in love with him . Also, Arpita and Ketan's love story and complications in it.
With many twists and turns throughout the book, the mystery surrounding his parents was revealed which was heartbreaking.
This book was not only filled with sadness and misery but also filled with love and hope .

Arpita was a strong but stubborn woman. She sacrificed everything and fought everyone for Rihaan. Her character is the one I liked best.
Rihaan didn't stand out much. There were times when I liked him and when I didn't liked him a bit ,especially when he behaved badly towards Shivi.

Orphanage environment and how childrens live there is shown in details . How there was rationing even on food ! These childrens struggles everyday with society and their own insecurities to survive .
Author have talked about the injustices in today's society and how cruel people can be .

The Red Diary is a remarkable novel but not without some faulta. It had loopholes and confusing points. It was good but could have been better .

What a heart-warming read this book is.

It had everything suspense, family, love, heart wrenching and heart-warming incidents and life. It is a unique story about a young orphan boy and how and where his life takes him. Every child gets adopted but not him. He desperately longs to find his parents, who, he is sure, exist in some part of the world. His best friend, Ina, is adopted by a family, and she leaves Ashiyana, their orphanage.

Later, Rihaan does find his blood-relatives, but not his parents. His music, Arpita adopts him and he shifts to her place. He tries to find out more about his parents, but Arpita tells him that she will be telling him about them only after he is twenty-one. What’s the mystery behind his missing parents which Arpita has kept secretly hidden in “The Red Diary”? Also, will his quest to find the ever-illusive Ina end?

-While, the main character is Rihaan but almost all character has their mystery and struggles to go on and as a reader, it was so intriguing to read.

- The story is too good and engaging. The little life lessons that the author has tried to give through this story is amazing.

- The story has romance, humour, childlike innocence and emotional quotient too. For me, this book is the perfect blend of everything a book needs to have.

- The language and narration are engaging and fast-paced, not a single page will let your attention drift away.

-Overall, an excellent book.

Rihaan, a young lad who is growing in an orphanage called Ashiyana. He is the eldest in Ashiyana and Sometimes his friends are adopted by some family so he often wonders why he is not adopted by someone in this world. He is always willing to know about his family and the reasons why he is abandoned by his parents, but no one knows about his background except Mrs.Patel, but she too doesn't share anything about his family with him. And, he always has hopes that one day any one of his family members will visit and take care of him. Yes, that day comes and he meets his mausi, who is his mother's younger sister called Ms. Arpita. Then what next? Does he believe his mausi is really his mother's sister? Why Arpita comes to visit Rihaan after so many years? Will Rihaan know about his parents?

The plot also revolves around Shivi and Ina, who is Rihaan's friends in Ashiyana. Rihaan and Ina love each other, and Shivi knows about their love but still, she loves Rihaan. Then what happens? Will Shivi abandon her love for Rihaan or will there any twist happen in their story? To know more read the book.

The story was nice and in a pragmatic manner.

I enjoyed the story, It was a mixture of love, pain, affection, maturity, etc. So, the story was interesting to read.

The language was simple so everyone can read it.

Book - The Red Dairy

Author - Neelam Saxena Chandra

Rating - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

It's really hard to explain about this book in words, tears worth it. The book is stuffed with pure emotions. Serious, heart touching, overwhelming book.

The book tells a very interesting story of a smart and sporty 11 year old orphan Rihaan. Life makes him travel in a hard way. Over a decade of his existence he was living in a orphanage with big sportsman dream and love for a beautiful girl Ina. The big hole of not belonging to a family hurted him the most. There was a sudden turning, where he was most wanting to be with a family and losing all the one he loved all these years. Over his darkness his Aunt ( Mother's sister ) brought light of meaning to his life. Rihaan went through hard times, the scares faded as time passed. Rihaan found a bizarre Ina, all his hard work to catch up his love with her ended in astonishment. All went of with the spring ending when he got a surprise gift from his Aunt. What was the gift?.

The book had wonderful essence of emotions. May it be friendship, love, Aunt's love, charity everything was well constructed. The personalities of the characters also added great interest to it. The writing style was awesome. I had a great reading. Easy and lovely read.

This was such an emotional story.
This book had a quite a different concept and storyline. I liked that the author was able to maintain a mysterious atmosphere throughout the book. I liked how the author unfolded the story.
I liked Rihaan,he was so charismatic. The end was perfect and satisfying.
The pacing of the story was a bit slow, I feel some scenes could have been deleted without affecting the book much.
Anyways it was a heartwarming read. The cover is well made and it captures the essence of the book. If you like books with drama with some good twists than you should definitely give this a try.

🔻Book Review 📙🔻
▪️Book Title: The Red Diary
▪️Author: Neelam Saxena Chandra
▪️Genre: Fiction
▪️Pages: 108
▪️Publisher: Invincible Publishers
.
The title gives you an idea about mysterious nature of the story. I feel the cover doesn't really convey the real picture of the story.
.
Basically the story was a emotional read, the story revolves around the main protagonist Rihaan who stays in an Orphanage Ashiyana and had always wondered to the fact that inspite of being a good and with achievements he was never called for adoption by the visitors. The orphanage is managed by Mrs. Patel who knew the parents of Rihaan, who apparently dies in an accident couple weeks after she assured Rihaan to let him abt his parents.
.
He finally gets adopted by his maternal aunt, she had sacrificed everything for Rihaan to grow well. Rihaan keeps asking about his biological parents but she kept it mysterious saying she would tell him once he turns twenty one.
.
Why isn't he informed about his parents?
What secrets are penned in the Red Diary he gets to read from his aunt?
.
The narration is very lucid and that helps one to read it in a sitting.

# Author: by Neelam Saxena Chandra

🌿🔆🔱⚜️ The author inks the empathy elegantly evoking the inner important insights on a profound leadership imbibing the essential elements of intelligence, kindness, stable mind, caring and nurturing.

🌿🔆🔱⚜️ Through citing the character of Arpita, how she relieves the pain of an orphanage life of Rihaan and develops him through her intelligent administration and waits for the right time to reveal the truth of Rihaan's parents until he turns 21.

🌿🔆🔱⚜️ Rihaan’s question about his parents remains unanswered till he turns 21. During this phase of his life, he received the relational bondage from Arpita filled with abundant love, care and affection.

🌿🔆🔱⚜️ Prominent message to readers, Love is more important than luxuries. Not to give up without trying out anything.

🌿🔆🔱⚜️ The author's imagination is well-groomed while characters require little strong development to create a deep impact on the reader.

🌿🔆🔱⚜️ I liked this piece. This piece gives the right approach to leadership while nurturing the dear ones with principles and love.

A few stories truly have a profound effect upon our souls and this is one such story. The cover is delightfully planned and it tricked me to plunge further into the book. This is an excellent story that depicts life in a halfway house, how a splendid kid named Rihaan longs to discover his introduction to the world guardians and get a home, how he at last finds a blood relative, how he misses his closest companion, Ina, when she leaves the shelter. He truly needs to think about his introduction to the world guardians yet his auntie reveals to him that she'll give everything away just when he's 21. What's the secret behind this? Peruse on to discover. This story is an ideal mix of adoration, care, grievousness, trust, dreams, magnanimity and significantly more. The story is studded with feelings and it will in reality have a profound effect at the forefront of your thoughts.

The topic is truly pleasant. The plot is unpredictably woven. Characterisation merits unique appreciation. The exceptional credits of each character has been portrayed so unmistakably. The language is straightforward and clear.

Generally it's a wonderful story! Adored it!

The Red Diary is an emotional book. It deals with an orphan wanting a home. The story follows Rihaan, who is an orphan who earns for his own family. He has a childhood lover Ina. But she gets adopted and he always misses her in his life.

But when he is 12 years old, his aunt finds him in the orphanage. She adopts him & only then he finds out that his parents are dead, his grandmother is a descendent of a wealthy zamindar family. His aunt scarifies her life to take care of him. And when questioned by Rihaan, she tells him that he is important to her. And she also makes him a promise that she would marry & tell him everything about his parents when he is 21 years old. So he is always curious about his parents and what happened to them.

The book is well-written. The language is very good. And the storyline is great. I read this non-stop in the span of two hours. It is a book that engages you and hooks you into it. As its short, it’s a breezy read. The cover could have been better, I feel that it did not match with the story of the book.

Rihaan is an orphan living in the orphanage Ashiyana by Mrs. Patel. He always wondered why no one adopted him and why he was never called to the office room for seeing people coming for adopting children. Mrs. Patel said she will say about her real parents to him at the weekend but before that, she met with an accident and died and the new head of the orphanage was Aditi and the condition of the orphanage changed bad and no food and no cloth on any special days.

On one occasion Aditi called him to the office and he was happy someone came to adopt him and it was his mother's sister Arpita who came to adopt him. His mom hailed from a rich family. Rihaan wants to know about his father and mother but Arpita said, It is possible to say only on his 21st birthday. I loved the character Ketan who was a big support. Shivi was such a good character with a lot of love and patience with forgiveness as her highlight. To know what was in the red diary you need to travel with Rihaan on the journey.

Some stories really leave a deep impression upon our hearts and this is one such story. The cover is beautifully designed and it lured me to dive deeper into the book. This is a beautiful story that portrays life in an orphanage, how a bright boy named Rihaan yearns to find his birth parents and get a home, how he finally finds a blood relative, how he misses his best friend, Ina, when she leaves the orphanage. An emotionally poignant book. You must be prepared to read the book as it will make you in tears in lot of pages. I picked up this book without knowing anything about it. At first, I thought it's a children's book. But this taught me not to judge a book by it's cover.
It's a story of an orphan boy Rihaan living in an orphanage Aashiyana. Like any other orphan child, he always wished to get adopted. His journey will make you ride in an emotional roller coaster. You are bound to get shocked, thrilled, joy when he gets adopted by Arpita, his real aunt, teary knowing his unfulfilled desires.
This book offers a panorama of emotions and you will feel to do for orphan children. This book gives a very kind message of orphaned children. This book has it all, from yearning a good parents to chasing your love interest to get excited to be adopted. It's a heart-touching journey, which will keep you for asking more.

Rihaan is an orphan, who stays in an orphanage since childhood. One day a woman came to see him, and introduced herself as Arpita. She claimed to be his maternal aunt, and she adopted him. Rihaan was very excited in the beginning, but slowly, he finds that there is a lot of mystery related to this woman. She does not immediately talk about his parents, and says that she'll reveal it when he's 21 years old. The thrill continues till the last page of the book, discovering dark secrets of Arpita and how Rihaan is related to her. By some ways, this book seems to relate to Oliver Twist, but not completely. The author has penned down intricate details and thus, has added to the mystery of the book. The reader is taken on a rollercoaster of thrill and it's very difficult to keep the book down, once started. The language used is extremely vivid and easy to get along with. I'll recommend this book to all thriller fans!

One day his maternal aunt, adopted him by sacrificing everything for Rihaan but Rihaan keeps on asking about his biological parents than his aunt promised him, she would tell him everything once he turns twenty one.
But before attaining the age he got a diary, the secret diary, THE RED DIARY...
What secrets are penned in the red diary?? The Diary is related to his parents!! What is this diary about??

The story revolves around the protagonist named Rihaan, who is raised in an Orphanage called Ashiyana. He has a best friend who he adores, Ina. He also has another close friend named Shivi.

Rihaan throughout his youth yearns to find out about his parents. In the meantime, Ina gets adopted and Rihaan's friendship deepens with Shivi. But he is somewhat complacent about this friendship and takes it for granted.

Rihaan after a while finds his maternal aunt Arpita. She then adopts him. But she doesn't reveal his parent's identity to him immediately. She tells him to wait till he turns twenty-one.

The story is beautiful. The emotions are raw. The depiction of little children struggling to find their true identity is heart-wrenching. The hypocrisy associated with adoption in our country is also honestly showcased. A great read. 💯% recommend.

The Red Journal is a heart pounding anecdotal story which spins around a little fellow named Rihaan, who stays in a shelter with his old buddies, Ina and Shivi. Rihaan emphatically accepts that his folks will come to get him. Before long, Ina is received by a couple while Rihaan is embraced by a blood relative. The contact is before long lost. There are numerous inquiries which come in Rihaan's psyche. Perusing this book has all around portrayed the difficulty and battle which a youthful brain faces in a shelter. As the story pushes forward, a great deal of obscure realities and mysteries are uncovered driving towards a Red Journal. The language of the story is basic and simple to follow. Actually, I adored the wah this story was composed. There were a scope of feelings just as blamelessness of the little kid seen.

The book is a thrilling read. The story revolves around Rihaan who is an orphan. He stayed in the orphanage since childhood. The thrill begins when one day , a lady named Arpita comes to see him and claim to be his maternal aunt. Rihaan, obviously was happy and excited as Arpita adopted him. Slowly, Rihaan senses the mystery behind that woman. She doesn't talk about his parents and tells him that she will reveal everything once he gets 21 years old. The mystery continues till the end and it keeps the readers hooked till the last page.
What were the dark secrets of Arpita?? How Rihaan and Arpita were interconnected?? Grab your copies to find the answers.
The title and cover is simple. The language used is simple and comprehensive. I enjoyed the book and would recommend this to thriller fans.

The story was cliche, but that is ok sometimes, cliche is not always bad. So the two stars are for the story. It actually was a heartwarming tale, with a nice conclusion.

Writing style of this book is what bothered me a lot. The author feels so out of touch with reality that he almost wrote all of the character's dialogues like they were robots conversing among themselves. There were no feelings behind any words they said, it was just like reading a history book, with straight up facts. The characters talk like "I have loved you and shall always love you. However, I can't marry you. Please restart your life by letting soemone else in." I have never seen a single soul have an actual conversation like that.
Writing style of this book made my reading experience awful.
