Good but...
Ok so Manya is forced to marry into the family that killed her mother. It was a nice read except for the sex that of course had some strangulation and wrists tied. I'm over that already. A book can be a good dark mafia book without throwing in BDSM. That is just me but because the next revolves around same couple I won't read it.

Wow, what can I say but a great start to what is going to be an incredible series. I hope you enjoy this first book in the Koalistia Bratva Series as much as I did. If you like mafia romances with lots of dark elements and danger this book's for you. Full of fast action and overflowing with danger and steam this book is guaranteed to keep you glued to your seat and page-turning. Well written with an entertaining story line and strong characters. Dimitri is typical mafia, arrogant, dominate and controlling. You'll love Mandy and celebrate her strength. I read a free copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to write a review.

This is my first read by this author and a beginning in a series of books about Manya and Dimitry who are forced to be together due to an arranged marriage. At first, Manya is reluctant as she is forced to marry him on the day she graduates from school and had no idea that it was to happen so soon. However, she cannot deny the attraction. Dimitry would like to make the situation between the two work. It ends in a bit of a cliffy but with the two of them sort of trying to work things out.

My biggest complaint with these kinds of stories that the author tries to sell as books is that they are too short. Fifty four pages can not provide the reader with a substantial backstory, character development or any depth of character or plot. This series could have easily been one novel, possibly a duet but instead is drawn out in small increments whereas the author charges you for each. If a reader wants to write short stories then they need to be billed as short stories that are included in a novel that is primarily made up of short stories. There are several authors that have done that successfully collaborating with other authors in one novel made up of short stories from each author..
These bits and pieces of novels that are presented as novels and marketed as such are just a way for the author to charge more vs., putting the stories into one or two books and charging accordingly.
It's one thing for an author to write a 300 page novel and have a book 2 coming out at a later date. It's another to have 50 plus pages of the same story published over and over again until the books' end.

She is a maelstrom of emotion wrapped up in a woman that tastes like dark cherries and red wine
Well hold on tight because Damaged Prince starts of the Koalistia Bratva series with an all out charge and then keeps on going. This series is the story of Dimitry Yerikovich Kaolitsis and Manya "Mandy" Yevaevna Sorokin.
Mandy is in her early twenties and it is her graduation day from university. She has studied very hard over the last four years and crammed in enough credits for her six year degree. But she is about to walk another carpet today also, whether she likes it or not. Mandy may have become American but her father is old world Russian and also Bratva. He made a deal with her when she was sixteen...he would pay for her university education and she would marry the man he picked out for her. Today is the day that he is collecting on that deal. Before Mandy can even come to terms with what his happening she is whisked away to a church where her aunt and others do her hair, make-up and put her into a white wedding gown and veil. The next thing she knows she is walking down a second carpet today and then saying "I do" at the appropriate time. But when she hears her new husband's name her brain snaps through the fog and she soon realizes exactly who she has been married off to in a deal by her father. When she finally remembers that the name Kaolitsis means the killing of her mother when she was young and the family was still in Russia she is beyond upset and mad. She cannot believe her father married her off to this family and now her name was to be that of her mother's killer. Dimitry may not have killed her mother but someone in his family did and that is enough for her.
Dimitry is the son of the head of the Bratva. He will take over when his father retires or dies. But until then he has been living a life that includes women, drinking, violence, killing and death. When his father has a heart attack things change as the "family" smells a weakness. In order to ensure that more distant family stays loyal to the Bratva his father arranges a marriage for him. Now he will be living in one of the large family houses, having staff waiting on him and a wife, with the expectation of continuing the blood line with lots of children. As he was waiting at the alter he was expecting one of the normal Bratva Princesses. What he found was a woman who was more sullen than he was. But she was also curvy and beautiful so her thought maybe this marriage won't be so bad. What he was not expecting was for her to bite his bottom life so hard that she drew blood, then she pushed him backwards and ran off to the waiting car with the driving pulling away. Well this is going to be an interesting marriage.
Damaged Prince kicks off the new series with a bang. The relationship between Mandy and Dimitry is going to be an all out battle of the wills with a lot of blazing hot and torrid sexy passion. This is just the first part of their story and I am so looking forward to reading what happens next.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!

It’s edgy yet always within boundaries of morality. It’s compelling, like Nutella, bacon and oreo cookies had a threesome and this story is their lovechild. Not sure what is it with the dads who continue to use their daughters as pawns but this one is no different Mandy marries Dimitri because her father arranged it and Dimitri only marries her out of convenience nothing more or less. The problem is when he married her emotional bonds weren’t on the menu, attachments certainly weren’t supposed to form but when love rears its beautiful head and throws yet another wrench into the works well you end up with these two but is there a HEA for them?

How do you explain a story that fills all the fantasies that you might have? Manya (Mandy) finally graduates from college and finds her father standing under a tree. As he guides her to his car he explains that she will be getting married in a few hours. Stunned, hurt, angry and disillusioned after the wedding she finds that she has married into the family that killed her mother. Dimitry is pleasantly surprised when he sees his bride. He feels the pull of wanting her as a real wife and not just a convenience. The banter between these two was fantastic. I loved it when she accuses him of killing her mother and he states: " that, he did not kill your mother. You want me to apologize for her death? I am sorry for your loss I am sorry for your pain..... But I will not apologize for a death I had nothing to do with, in carrying out or planning. I have enough blood on my hands without you adding a name to the end of my trigger that does not belong." That explanation hit me right in the heart. I hope that they get their HEA! The college degree in social work that Manya(Mandy) worked so hard for, she finds that she is not able to use it. Her father has been waiting until she graduated to marry her off to Dmitry Koalitsia to join their Brava mafia families. Mandy and Dmitry need to try and navigate this new marriage as strangers when things from the past have tarnished Dmitry's last name that he didn't even know about. Keeping each other safe will be a trial for Mandy because of the bodyguards that will be watching her every step. This is book #1 of the "Dark Mafia Romance: Koalitsia Bratva" series. This author is one of my go to authors to read and I have enjoyed reading her book series. I was so excited to see that she has branched out and written a series about the Bratva Mafia. I can't wait to read the next book. Enjoy!

This was a good short story to start off the series of the Koalistia family. This is the story of Manya (Mandy) and Dimitry. Mandy is the daughter of a mafia Don. She is strong, stubborn, and ready to take on the world. Dimitry is dangerous, dark, mysterious and sure of himself. The day that Mandy graduates from college, she is then taken by her father to wed Dimitry in an arranged marriage that she knew nothing about. Mandy is hurt, angry and beyond livid when she realizes she is marrying the man whose family is responsible for her mother’s death.
There is passion and chemistry between Dimitry and Mandy – neither one wants to acknowledge it until Dimitry’s life is in trouble. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out to see what happens next.

Mafia books for me are usually hit or miss, although most of the time I pass them up, but this one intrigued me. Right from the start you are thrown in to a world that is filled with danger, murder, pain and manipulation. Mandy has just walked across stage at her college graduation, when her dad is waiting to take to her wedding, that she is not know about. Dmitry standing at the front of the alter, waiting to full fill an obligation to the family. The women who was walking down toward him was not what she was expecting.
Damaged Prince will take you on Mandy's uncertain journey as she learns to "handle" her new husband and adjust to the life she wanted to avoid. While Dmitry is wanting his wife more than he thought her would, while navigating his position in the family.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Damaged prince is the first book in the ‘’Koalistia bratva’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an entertaining read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Mandy graduates from college she expects her new life to start. What she doesn’t expect is to be forced to marry into the mafia on the same day.
The chemistry between Mandy/Manya and Dimitri is clear to see and I liked them together. That being said, I wish there were more scenes of them together as a pair.
I really liked the ending of this story.

Mandy had spent the last few years trying to hide in the shadows, away from her families Bratva links but when her father turns up at her graduation telling her she is to marry her past suddenly collides with her future, when she discovers her husband identy. Dimitry had not been expecting the vision that walked down the isle towards him, let alone her running off without him after their wedding ceremony. Mandy lit a fire of desire within him, but to her, he was a man whose surname was linked to her mother murder. Is there a chance of love between them? Or is there trouble brewing within th le Bratva knocking at their door? This is a well written steamy short, arranged marriage bratva romance.

This is the story of Dimitry and his Bratva Family the Koalistia. Mandy is also mafia but another family, their families have arranged a marriage between the two. Being thrown together as strangers the writer showed us how tough that was, and how she had bodyguards that were constantly watching her. Dimitry is a wonderful characters tough and yet he was not all bad. Mandy I felt bad for her for the fact that she got her degree and then meant nothing. The chemistry was great between Mandy and Dimitry. I cannot wait for more, this is a quick but oh so interesting read full of action and danger. Great story.

This first book in the Koalistia Bratva series has started out strong. Mandy has just finished college and thought (hoped) she could use her social work degree, but her father is there to let her know her arranged marriage will take place, immediately. Walking down the aisle is the first time she sees her new husband Dmitry. When they exchange their vows, she finds out his last name Koalistia, the family that killed her mother. That's just the start of this 5 book series. We start with a bang, twists, steam and more steam. Fast paced, super steamy read with I hope, more to come.

I think I would have actually given this book a 2.5 stars. I was wondering how they could make a story, good, interesting, attention grabbing, feel a connection to the characters in just 54 pages ???
Well from what I read, you can't. The writing was good, no typos. There really was no character build up, no story line expansion (though it was hinted at) and I think with more time it could have developed into a great story, but as condensed as it was, it just fell flat for me. Would I try this Authors other books, yes I would. So for me, this just fell short. Sherrie

Damaged Prince is the first book in the Koalistia Bratva Series and introduces us to Dimitry Koalistia and Mandy Yevanevna Sorokin who end up in an arranged marriage to each other by order of their mafia don fathers in order to strengthen their families. However, Mandy did not expect her marriage to be on her college graduation day or the groom to be from the Bratva family who killed her mother. This series has an unbelievable beginning full of danger and action, complex and well developed characters, and a plot with angst, drama, and sizzling passion.

She does not know who she is going to marry and when she realizes that her new husband is a Koalistia, she is enraged as she has been told that they are responsible for the death of her mother.
Dimitri needs to get along with his wife to help him but as soon as he sees her, he falls in lust with her and finds more reasons to win her heart.
It was too short to me, I hope we can get more of these characters. We'll see what happens in the next books in the series.

This was a short mafia romance, but I really enjoyed it! I love a heroine who puts up a fight, who stands up for herself and you get that with Mandy!! I did like Dimitri as well, he was controlling and dominant which i liked, but because the story was so short I don't feel we had time to really get to know him....hopefully we will get more of a chance in the next book!

An amazing and exciting start to Koalistia Bratva series. This is a quick read that packs a punch, it’s action packed, filled with danger, sizzling chemistry, and strong characters. I did love Dimitri even though he is controlling and arrogant and I loved that Mandy stood up for herself and wasn’t a pushover. This was a really great Mafia read and I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

I loved this dark rollercoaster read about Dimitri and Mandy the first book in what looks like it's going to be a great series. I loved how their relationship developed and changed from a not so convenient arranged marriage to one involving such depths of feelings. I loved the characters and the storyline, I was hooked from beginning to end and just had to keep turning the pages on my kindle to see what happened next. I'm really looking forward to the next book.

This was a short read but a good book, I so enjoy mafia stories and this did not dissapoint. The main character she had a lot of built up feelings that she wasnt dealing with until it came head on at her wedding. From there that is when the story started to get interesting, every chapter you read you want more. So cant wait for book 2.

This is the first book in the 5 part series following the same couple: Mandy and Dmitri.
I enjoyed how this novella was written. It showed you rather than telling you, unlike a lot of other novellas I've read where it's telling rather than showing, resulting in the book FEELING like it's too quick. It's almost like you're reading a cliffnotes version of a novel that really honestly needed to be a full sized book. I didn't feel that with this one.

A riveting book one in the Koalistia Bratva series! The story line is well-developed, well written, emotionally deep, and engaging with action, danger, drama, suspense, angst, strong characters, sizzling chemistry, and more. Definitely recommended!

Short but awesome read
Shorter then I would have thought but such a great story. Can’t wait to see where the story goes! I know some Bratva (Mafia) terms but I would have liked a meaning list of some words because they were unfamiliar and I prefer not to leave a book to find out the meaning.

This was an excellent start to the series, didn’t really learn much about the characters yet but had a really great introduction to them, looking forward to the next book 😁

This book was dark and fantastic. The characters were well developed with sizzling chemistry. I read this in one sitting because it was that good.
