More than Friends

Rate this book
Nothing special, is quite as special, when you’re not here. –Tyrell Dominique knew that Tyrell loved her and she loved him too, but he was her best friend and that was how she wanted to keep it. Sure, they had this special connection that far exceeded any other connection that she had with a man, but if they tried to push to make it more and failed, she would end up losing the best friend she has ever had. Dom wasn’t willing to risk that. If only she could get him to stop putting on the full court press for her affection. Tyrell wished that Dom could see that they were meant to be. But with even the mention of his love for her, she shut down the conversation and ignored what he knew was growing between them. Ty had to get her to understand that he wanted to love her forever because he wanted to be more than friends.

Not feeling it!

Friends to lovers storylines are my absolute favorite. However, they are very hard to write. I understand this however Ms. Crooks missed the mark with this one. I personally don’t like foolish people and Dominique was the biggest fool to me. The fact that she would rather spend time with boring ass Ellis who she confessed as not the being “the one” several times was very frustrating. It just took her absolutely too long to come to her senses for no apparent reason. Now Tyrell, I liked him. He was very decisive and extremely patient with Dominique. To be honest, Dominique didn’t deserve him. Then on top of that, the ending did not have any substance. We never got to see them as a true couple. No epilogue or anything. Just left us hanging. I feel cheated, after pushing through(because trust me, I wanted to bail on this book), I don’t even get to experience them as a true couple. Not fair!👎🏾🤦🏽‍♀️

Growth....

Ms. Crooks I enjoyed this book, you have grown so much with your penmanship. The plot, hook, obstacles, and setting made Dominique and Tyrell story intriguing. The type of love they had established is hard to break no matter whom tries to come in between them. The only other part that I like to read and missing is an epilogue. It would be great to read about them getting engaged, married, starting a family, etc. Although, I wanted a little more I still recommend this book to other readers.

Loved It!!!

I loved Dom and Tyes storyline. I was screaming for Dom to get her life together and get her man, so I’m glad she got it together. This was a great read.

More than

Not less than in this story ; it was about a friends to lovers adventure with a greater than likely chance of success. The story was enjoyable and kept me turning pages.
