Having become an avid follower of Mr. Storm has proven to be an exhilarating series of unending excitement! This outstanding descriptive rendition of realistic old American western folklore adventures once again proves this Author's outstanding descriptive, yet compassionate writing abilities!
Most definitely five stars worthy, as Jonah goes about his determination to avenge the devastating loss of his parents and friends, who were destructively disposed of by a worthless group of non - caring group of worthless outlaws! Jonah is befriended by a widow and her daughter, who also suffered at the outlaws hands! A very touching, but somewhat heartwarming series of ongoing gunfighting adventures! Outstanding storylines throughout this compelling western folklore extravaganza, as Jonah, assisted by his rescuer, and her daughter, they work together in retaliation against Red Scarlet and his worthless group of outlaws! Too, the Author's outstandingly descriptive characters could not have been any better portrayed, as their performances were unsurpassed in their commanding assignments from beginning to end! Most definitely recommend this superbly written western series of unending exciting adventures to all readers, regardless of your reading pleasure, as I assure you will be as overwhelmed as I was throughout this polarizing series of unending excitement! A very compelling western masterpiece that only increases with the turn of each new page of unending exciting new revelation of realistically western folklore extravaganzas! You will find yourselves completely mesmerized from beginning to end, as I most definitely was!!!😃
Jonah Silk was only 12 years old when his parents and most of the town was murdered. The only ones spared were Emmy, a lady of the evening, and her 9-year-old daughter, Clara. The murderers, The Scarlet Star gang, left enough that Emmy was able to buy an out of the way place to raise both Jonah and Clara. Jonah spent the next 7 years practicing his shooting. It was time to avenge his parents and all the other families murdered by this gang. Red and his gang didn’t do this on a whim. Avory Wedgewood wanted control of the mines and they didn’t want to sell. The Scarlet Star gang seems to leave their mark everywhere they go, so the trail was not too hard to follow. If you like westerns, you should love this story!
I thought this was mostly an acceptable story, but with some sore thumbs that stood out.
Neither palms nor palmetto trees are indigenes to Arizona.
Steel dusts (or steeldusts) refers to a line of horses that were precursors to today's quarter horses and not meant for long distance riding. Morgans or other horses crossed with Mustangs were the preferred riding animal "back in the day".
The Winchester Repeating Arms Company wasn't founded until 1866, so the chances of a poor boy in the outback of Arizona having a Winchester was slim to none. More likely would be the Henry Yellow Boy, but even then the cost would have been prohibitive.
Jonah lost his family to outlaws at A very young age.
A woman saved him and takes her with him and her daughter. Seven yearrs later he begins his quest for revenge. They have a few adventures, but they manage to survive their quest and build better lives for themselves.
I enjoy reading family. But why didn't Bella give Jonahback his mine? Why just make him supervisor? His family owned one there.it is good both families can be happy. JD
