In a distant future, Earth has become a dry planet. Two brothers, Honos and Kainos, roam the vast deserts in search of relics from ancient civilizations. One day they stumble upon a dog and a treasure more valuable than anything they've ever come across before.
I read this book in 15 mins. Very brief little sci-fi adventure. While the scribbley art-style was cool, the writing was mid and the characters didn’t have much depth. I also found myself confused as to what was happening in certain panels. Cool ideas, but needed a bit more polish.
In a distant (or not so-distant) future, Earth is barren and its remaining inhabitants have to be as resourceful as possible. Scavenging only takes people so far. An exciting look at what happens when two brothers are willing to listen to each other and give hope a try. I loved the careful use of color and could really feel what was at stake with the action scenes!
This is apparently set in the same universe as the Ish & Mima book I read recently. It's got the same slice of life/action mix, expect it's much sillier and doesn't have any of the mythology. I'm also not quite sure when it's supposed to take place in relation to that one. All in all, it's fun but nothing special
Excellent and stylish artwork; the relatively simple story with hints of a much broader world left me wanting more. Hopefully could be expanded on in a future volume.
