Smooches

Rate this book
I made one of those dream board things while hanging out with my best friends.
You know, the kind that are made with pictures ripped from magazines with special notes about your life goals or biggest wishes. (Mine of course, is covered in glitter!)
As a single mom, it’s hard to put my dreams and goals first, but I made my list.
1. Finally finish my degree
2. Learn how to cook new recipes.
3. Travel outside of Washington state.
4. Buy myself something that makes me feel desirable.
5. Find real, honest-to-goodness-rip-your-heart-out-and-hand-it-to-someone-love.
The realist in me knows that last one is a bit far-fetched, but when an old college friend shows up in my driveway offering me something I can’t refuse, my mind starts wondering if maybe that last goal could be attainable after all.
He’s kind, compassionate, strong, helpful, and attractive. All positive attributes of a great man.
There’s just one problem.
He’s my Ex’s best friend.

I laughed until I cried, literally! This book is so full of great things!
I loved getting to know Hanna, Stone, and Grayson!
That vision board has me wanting to make one of my own (pass the glitter, could ya?)!
This story has such a real feel to it, once having been a single mother, it reaches in and makes you remember how hard it is sometimes and also how many awesome people are there by your side willing to help out with no agenda. That is such a great feeling and Susan did a fantastic job putting that into words and making it an entire story!
I can not wait to get to the next one, I don't dare to imagine where it will take us!

The book is a good light easy and feel good romantic comedy read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable, adorably sweet, and funny romance read with slow burn and lough out loud moments.

I loved this book from cover to cover. Reading it for a second time right now. Susan Renee captures the true emotion of her characters in a way that makes you relate easily to them and makes you root for a happy ending. I also love how the friendships are so authentic and there is always someone who reminds you of someone you know. I loved following Hannah and Grayson’s love story. I cannot wait for the next one.

Hanna and Grayson's story is so cute! Single mom falling in love with her old college friend who just happens to have been in love with her since they met.  But why didn't he make his move in college when he had the chance, instead his best friend did and they had a child together.  Things didn't work out with them though and a few years later Grayson gets his chance, only problem the father of Hanna's son is still Grayson's best friend.  How will this end?

This was a light easy feel good read.

Omg yes.
I adored hann and greys book. So many laugh out loud moments. So many feels. The perfect second in the series. It was great to see the story being interwoven with the first, just like catching up with old friends.
Susan manages to grab me and have me sucked in with each and every book she writes. I cannot get enough. And before I know it the end... :( I'm uber excited for Kim's book. #bringonSMOOCHED.

Smooches left my sides hurting, tears streaming down my face and gasping for breath! I've never had a book make me laugh as hard as this one did! Susan Renee puts Smooches well above the rest in Rom Coms. Each character has qualities that are so relatable to real life experiences you find yourself looking at the friends in your life to see which one reminds you of these characters. You can't go wrong with Smooches!

She made him feel like he could hang up his bachelor towel
This book is about Grayson and Hannah. They met while they were in college together – they shared a psychology class together, along with his best friend Stone. Grayson was totally enamoured by Hannah, but she went out with and got pregnant by Stone. While Grayson was happy for his friends, he still always harboured deep feelings for her, and she never knew.
Hannah and Stone broke up years later, and while he moved on with someone else, Hannah never did. Her life evolved around their son Mason. But she was planning on changing that a little. Her friends Kim and Arya convinced her to make a vision board, where she set herself some major goals for the upcoming year. Finding true love was one of those goals. Gray was more than happy to pitch in and help her out, and have the opportunity to get to know her again, and maybe show her how he’s always felt about her.
This was SOOO funny. The chapter names had me in stictches and once I established why they had those names, I eagerly looked forward to finding each one within the chapter! I laughed out loud in every single chapter, and more than once in most of them. The humour made it so easy to read and so very, very entertaining! I have so many new hilarious terms and lines to use… manboozled, heat-seeking moisture missile, metre-long-King-Kong-dong, Mrs. Diddlesworth, paddling the pink canoe, papaya men, vagicano is actively exploding, spewing hot molten lava right now, vagazzle, if looks could tit-punch both of her friends would be flat-chested right now. I seriously have not laughed so much this year reading anything else, so thanks so much for tickling my fancy Susan!
Oh yeah, it was also incredibly sweet. Gray was just… so incredibly sweet and honest and caring and hot and passionate and perfect for AJ. Their friends were loyal and added so much to the story as well. I loved the way they were there for each other, and their banter was such a joy to read and laugh about. Surely every girl needs besties that can act as ‘cooch sleuths’ when the man in your life “performs his knock-off Swarovski Crystal New Year’s Eve ball drop”… oh my god that was funny! And undoubtedly very itchy and irritable ;) But good call Kim… you nailed it!
I give this book four and a half glittery stars. I wish we had more of these characters in this story because it was so much fun (and frustrating at times) to read about their shenanigans and be a part of their lives for a little bit. And I will so be one of those mature-aged characters living it up in Florida!

This series is everything awesome about rom-com

Smooches is the second book in The Camel Club series. Absolutely be read as a standalone, but it’s so much more fun if you read them in order. The entire cast of characters are hilarious and awesome. This book is about Hannah and Grayson. They met in college and Grayson fell in to love at first sight. Unfortunately for him, his best friend Stone was a player and intentionally hooked up with Hannah first. Things go downhill in Hannah and Stone’s relationship after she gets pregnant, and they broke up two years prior to the book starting. Grayson and Hannah are both single and reconnect after not having seen each other since the break up. Grayson is determined to take his chance at happiness and winning Hannah.

One of the things I love most about this series is that everyone is completely lovable. The men are not players, and are not sleeping around or treating the women like crap. Both Chett (book 1) and Grayson knew they wanted their woman, and fought to make the women see they were the one. And they are both GOOD guys! So so good. Totally swoon worthy and #BoyfriendGoals . The characters are all hilarious and the supporting characters and friends are the best group of people. I would love to work with the ladies at the Seattle Gaynecolgist office! They’re a hoot. I adore this series because it’s filled with feel good laughter, as well as hot romance and steam. It’s on my reread list and I never tire of revisiting these people.

I enjoyed this book and read it in a few days. I don’t think it was as good as Smooch but not by much.
I liked Hannah she was a strong single mum who had been managing fine by herself but was also able to accept the help that was been offered. She also allowed herself to fall in love and she enjoyed it which was a nice break from so many heroines in books.
Grayson was ok but a bit corny. I know he had been in love with the h for years but I did roll my eyes a few times but he would have done anything for her so.
I would have liked him more if he hadn’t been such a pink canoe at the end. I believe Hannah was too easy on him and she shouldn’t have forgiven him after one paragraph. There should have been a lot more grovelling.
The side characters were great again and we got to meet Stone this time who even though he was mentioned in the first book we only meet him in this one. Apart from some drunken dickishness at the end there was no real Stone drama and I don’t like ex drama in books so this was a nice break too.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and I looked forward to every lunch conversation. Would recommend

I really enjoyed this super funny romance! Susan’s writing is so fun to read and will have laughing from beginning to end! Hannah and her friends are especially funny but Hannah and Grayson are great too!

Grayson has loved Hannah since college but she was dating his best friends and they had a son together. Years later, Hannah is single and Grayson is ready to win her heart. When Hannah and her friends create a dream board, it’s like a blueprint to her heart. Grayson helps her achieve her dreams in the most romantic ways.

You will love Grayson’s character! He’s a golden hearted man who would do anything for the woman he loves! The way he helps with Hannah’s son and gives her time to achieve her dreams was EVERYTHING! Definitely check out their story! It’s beautiful and definitely steamy!

This is a very funny romance with two main characters who met in college, but had to go through other things before getting together. I was not impressed with Hannah's decision making at the beginning of the book, but she seemed to get her act together and figure out her life. I really liked Grayson's character but could not figure out why he put up with his college buddy who was insulting to women. The humor, funny situations, and ribald comments made up for the beginning of the story. The version of the book I read clearly needs some really basic editing. I am assuming it was edited before being released, so didn't mark it down for that.

i am her undoing, and she is mine

So I found this book on TikTok and the scenes teased had me wanting more so I downloaded and even my husband commented how quickly I devoured this book.

All the books I’ve read so far this year have been pretty heavy and emotional so a splash of laughter was just what the doctor ordered. And holy moly! I’m not sure I’ve ever laughed so hard while reading. The banter both inner and outer monologue, the jokes and teasing and nicknames had tears rolling down my face. I loved every side character, okay so at times I wanted to grab Stone by the bocce balls but he redeemed himself in the end.

Grayson and his King Kong song are pretty freaking swoon worthy and he is an expert paddler that really shines. 😉

Really fun

I really enjoyed this book. It was funny and I appreciated how much Grayson cared for Hannah. I was surprised that for a single mom story there wasn't a lot of Mason in the book. I didn't care for Stone at all. The only reason that I'm not giving it 5 stars us because at the end of the day, Grayson is Hannah's consolation prize. She admits to never having thought of him romantically before. She met her and Stone at the exact same time in college and she only had eyes for Stone. Just makes me feel a little bad for Grayson. Personally, I can live my life happy if I'm never someone's first choice but I couldn't live with myself knowing I was someone's second choice.

Absolutely hilarious

This is the second book in this series, and it’s about Hannah and Grayson. This book was amazing. I was hooked from the beginning. It had me laughing out loud at times. Hannah is a single mom, who is trying to live her life. When someone from her past shows up, in the form of her ex’s best friend, sparks ignite. She tries to fight her feelings. But Grayson is the perfect gentleman, and takes his time; showing her how good they could be. These characters are all amazing, and happy they get their happily ever after. This was a super fast, and highly enjoyable book. It was sweet, and romantic, and hilarious. I definitely recommend it.

I just love Susan Renee’s stories. This one was definitely a little more serious than Smooch, but there were still laugh out loud moments that were perfection. This book made me smile so much following Hannah’s journey to find love in such an unexpected place for her and to follow Grayson finally get what he’s been longing for for so long. Grayson was the absolute perfect man for Hannah and it just made me so happy with how much he rooted for her and helped her achieve her goals. He was there every step of the way. Hannah was such a great mom and it was about time she did something for herself. I loved watching her achieve her goals and find the love she deserves!

Another wonderful story by Susan Renee! Grayson is just amazing! His feelings for Hannah have been there since their first meeting and he was always in the background waiting. I love how he always thinks of her first, usually to the point where he shelves his needs and wants. Their relationship evolves well throughout the pages and the humor in this story slides right in. Bocce ball at an Airbnb, a special cake, a gift card...wonderful memories of Grayson and Hannah. I’m looking forward to Anna’s story, because it just HAS to be epic after reading Smooch and Smooches.

Hannah and Grayson have known each other for a while as they went to college together and he is her ex's best friend. He has always had feelings for her but never made a move. Years later she is a single mom to his best friend's child. Things didn't work out between her and her ex and now Grayson is back. Is this finally his chance to make her his? What will happen when her ex finds out?

What’s the most uncomfortable relationship? Ex’s BFF!

What happens when you meet two men at the same time and choose the wrong one? A hilariously awkward relationship along with an almost 6 year old, nightly smooches, and moving on…with the ex’s BFF.

Book 2 in the Camel Club series, but can be read as a stand alone. Great inside jokes tho. Perfect rom-com with all the heat for a winter day!

This book will have you laughing out loud

Author Susan Renee does it again! I can't even begin to imagine how she comes up with all the funny things she slides right into her steamy romances but she is a star! There is everything from paddling the pink canoe, to accidental vegazzling, to a celebratory first fart cake. And what makes this story better is the sweet romance of someone who's loved you for years finally letting you in on the secret.

smut and dirty thoughts

Omg I could not love this book any more than I do right now. Grayson and Hannah was such a ride. I loved the story so much! The way Grayson did all the little things to make Hannah’s life easier. I won’t lie I was sad the story didn’t start with him woe-ing her but it was made up for by the end. Everyone needs a Grayson in their life. He’s my newest book bf and I’m not sure I want to share

Ahhhhhh this one was soooooo cute… I loved Grayson so much he was perfect for Hannah and an amazing bonus dad for Mason… Stone was a douche tho like seriously WHY Hannah just WHY.?? I can’t wait to read Kim’s story but I also hope it has more of everyone in it.. it kinda bothered me how Mason was in so much of the first half of the book and then he just wasn’t in the last half much…. That’s really my only complaint , because he was the cutest and sweetest….

It didn't take me long to fall in love with Grayson. Where can I find me one? I loved how selfless he was in helping Hannah achieve her goals, and winning her over slowly while doing it. He definitely was swoon-worthy. This book was sweet, sexy, steamy, and a lot of funny. I loved little Mason too.

It was everything I expected and more! A great Rom com with wonderful characters. Susan writes emotional scenes in such a fantastic way. She also has characters that you know, characters that anyone can relate to. The humor in the book is amazingly well written.
