These holiday stories remind us that miracles can touch anyone anywhere. In this second of four volumes, a single mom combs toy aisles after midnight to one-up her ex ... A new father tends his child for the first time ... A shy girl stays by a deathbed despite a daunting demand ... a Live Nativity coordinator must manage both animals and humans ... A college student nurses a crush during an introduction to art song ... and siblings gamble for gifts yet to arrive from Santa. Keith Eldred wrote these tales over decades starting at age 13, until the complete set of 24 (across the four books in the series) comprised a “story advent” that he delivered in 24 separate locations leading up to Christmas one year. The four print covers interlock into one larger image.
Keith Eldred created the THIS IS RED project with his wife Janet, a public library director diagnosed with early-stage dementia. With Janet's condition making every day precious, they decided to make the most of 2020, the year of their 30th anniversary, by publishing 20 books. All profits from these titles go the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library, where Janet works. See more at www.thisis.red.
