Loyalty. Corruption. Family. A gauntlet rooted in love and jealousy may be the destruction of the students at Glass Heart Academy.
Delaney Parts of me were stolen in the confines of a dark room. No matter how hard I fought, I got nowhere. The damage has already been done. Now I find myself in the arms of an unexpected boy. He catches me in the darkness, where I’m too afraid to face the cruel world I now know exists. He wants every piece of my heart. But how far is he willing to go when it already belongs to another? After everything, Breaker Davenport haunts my dreams and loving me quickly becomes his own worst nightmare.
Breaker I have always been certain of a few things in life. Birth doesn’t make a family and when you find someone worth dying for, you fight until you bleed. Delaney Chambers is worthy of painting the world red. Fighting for her hadn’t been something I expected to do. Little did I know, he wasn’t the only one trying to take her away from me. They won’t whisper her name, but I’ll make sure they curse mine. The monster inside of me won’t stop until they’re buried amongst all their skeletons.
Lindsey Iler is the author of several new adult romances. No trope is off the table with her, but she especially loves writing bully and sports romance. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has four kids. When she isn't writing and spending time with family, she can usually be found listening to music and true crime podcasts.
This story consumed me. Breaker and Delaney hooked me with their intensity and chemistry. I really liked them in the previous books so I was so excited to finally get their story. For the most part it was everything I had hoped it would be. Breaker is light. He is good. He is everything he thinks he's not. He is a alpha through and through. So possessive of his girl. There is darkness inside of him brought on from his past, but it can't consume him. She won't let it.
Delaney might be lost and hurting right now, but she knows he is waiting for her. She is fire and they we will burn bright, very soon. While she was alone and trying to figure things out another man steps in to help her. Tripp feels right to her. He makes her feel safe, to a point and that's all she is needing. She needs to feel safe and secure. She needs to help forget about the past. The past that Breaker is firmly weaved into.
Things aren't what they seem with Tripp though. There are secrets and lies. When they are brought to light, lives will be changed. Dreams will be shattered and loyalties will shift.
Breaker fights for her. Fights for her honor. He knows he is the right choice for her and tries to be patient and let her figure it out on her own. He does remind her quite often who friendly they have been together.
“𝐒𝐡𝐞’𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐒𝐡𝐞’𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲-𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭-𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠.”
My heart hurt for all that sweet Delaney has had to endure. It took a lot for B and D to get to the end of their story, but it was worth it to make it perfect for them. There was angst, there were hidden feelings and trying to hide from the fact they meant too much to each other... that you can't hide.
Glass Heart Hero is hands down Lindsey's best book to date. Addictively suspenseful, enthrallingly dark and gritty, and teeming with an intense and complicated character chemistry- this story completely consumed me! Breaker and Delaney, two heroes in their own way, fighting to survive the savage Glass Heart world, and both completely own my heart. This series is such a riveting thrill ride, but what makes it so compelling is its emotional center- the profound character connections and the loyalty of a chosen family. I could live in this world forever!
Breaker has always been my soft spot- he’s a character that stole every scene. He’s kind a light to him- a bright kindness, a tenderness that the others didn’t, but we also knew there was darkness and pain lurking beneath his edgy, jovial facade. I love how his possessive, alpha, darkness seeps out in this story. But he’s also still the unusual hero we love- patient, resilient, determined- he let’s Delaney heal, lets her find her path to him on her terms. I didn’t know I could love him more- but I was wrong. And Delaney is a beautiful but broken soul- we still see her fire, but we also see how much this world has harmed her.
Lindsey picks up their complicated relationship in a totally unexpected place, and as per usual, the Glass Heart boys take a dangerous, broody, and volatile path to resolving the complicated emotional obstacles keeping Delaney and Breaker apart. There is a maddening push pull resistance, especially from Delaney- SO much angst, denial, unresolved feelings and tension. But Breaker and Delaney have a special bond, and experiencing the darkness and trauma they did together only deepened it, made it more solid, even if it is momentarily fragile. There is a DEEP chemistry here- an intimate emotional connective tissue that just gripped my heart. Trauma and evil and pain may have fractured their relationship, but they are truly unbreakable. They see and understand each other- show up for each other in ways only they can.
This loyal and protective chosen family may have a skewed moral compass thanks to this dangerous, corrupted elite world- but there is an honorable code, a trust, and a profound love that unites them. When one falls, when one falters, the others lean in- and as much as I loved B and D, I also loved seeing the Glass Heart family only strengthen.. Secrets, mystery, danger- they are no match for them. They may not be traditional heroes, but in their own story, in their own world? They are the only heroes they need.
Glass Heart Hero is the third installment in the Glass Heart Academy series by author Lindsey Iler. This book is off the charts good. It is suspenseful, thrilling, dark, gritty, unique and full of twists and turns that you won't see coming. Told in dual perspectives, this is Delaney and Breaker's story.
I absolutely loved Delaney and Breaker. As we saw in the previous two books, these two have quite a connection. But in this book, at least at the start, she is dating Tripp. He is determined to win her heart, but that won't be easy when it has always belonged to another. These two battle it out in a gauntlet, and the stunts escalate with each time that they meet. I never knew how far these boys would go all in the name of jealousy and love.
Holy smokes! This book was one wild thrill ride that will have your heart racing the whole way through. You will be glued to your seat while furiously flipping page after page. This is another heart-stopping read in a series that I can't seem to get enough of. Full of angst, drama and steam, this is definitely a story that you won't want to miss. Five stars and many, many more for Delaney, Breaker and Glass Heart Hero!
I was anticipating this story for a while and Lindsey Iler delivered an exhilarating story full of angst, mystery, secrets, lies and betrayals. Yes, I loved Marek and Palmer, but I always had a soft spot for the boy with the weird name and rough exterior. Yes, Breaker is fitting perfectly with the other Glass House boys, but he is anything like them and I love him for that!!! Add to that Delaney, a quiet girl that had found herself in an ugly situation that had broken her spirit and you will have an explosive result...
"Breaker Davenpost will be my undoing."
Well, things were complicated between Breaker and Delaney. They used to be a thing, but Delaney had chosen distance and she had found some other guy to soothe her broken soul. She just needed to stay away from the part that scarred her and unfortunately, Breaker was a part of that past as well, even though her heart was still singing every time he was around her.
"Look at me , gorgeous." "I can't." "Why not?" "Because as soon as I do, I'll remember why we're so good together." "And that's a bad thing because?" "You're a wild river, Breaker Davenport. You have the capacity to drown me, bury me so deep beneath the water, I'll never reach the surface."
Breaker is strong, but he can't get over Delaney's rejection. She is his and she just have to realize that. He will never give up on her... But Delaney had chosen another, a man that had a beef with Breaker and the time has come to resolve heir difference for once and for all and for one of them to get the girl in an old-fashioned way, with a gauntlet. A girl that mean so much for Breaker. A girl that he isn't afraid for her sake to dye his hands with blood.
"Don't think for a single second that I'm going to sit here and not try to win the little bit of your heart that you're holding outside of my grasp." "A boy like you doesn't need a heart like mine, Breaker."
OMG!!! This story was so intense from every aspect. The things that were happening here were making you live in pure agony. The connection between Delaney and Breaker was so strong and inevitable. As much as Delaney was refusing to acknowledge it, there was still lingering there in stolen kisses and secret touches. And in here, these unhinged boys taught us for once again that the small family that they have formed is stronger than ever and that the guys have each other's back no matter what or how.
"There are no winners in this game. All that will remain are broken bones and spirits."
I won't lie to you that Delaney's behavior didn't seem weird or that it didn't frustrated me... But I realized that she went through a trauma that left her soul open and bleeding and she thought that the distance from Breaker will provide her a certain amount of calm. But she couldn't be more wrong. I loved the new Delaney though. From a reserved girl, she had became a wildcat and when it mattered she was strong and determined. She never turned her back on Breaker and I loved her for that.
"I don't know if I'm made of strong enough skin and bones to handle your world."
As for Breaker??? He was so strong, patient and determined. He never gave up on Delaney, even though he was letting her think exactly that. He was dying inside by his girl's decisions, but he was strong enough to let her go in order to heal and find her way back to him, showing her with small glimpses what they could be if she was deciding to follow her heart and not her mind. Also, yes, Breaker is the only one of the boys with a sense of moral, but in here, we saw glimpses from his darkest side and I loved what I saw!!!
"If I do this, I swear, Delaney. I won't make any of this easy on you. I'm going to make your life a living hell for doing this to me, then kiss the bruises I cause to prove I'm the only choice."
Well, it's safe to say at this point that I'm kind of obsessed with this series and the glass house boys and of course, their lovely girls!!! And OMG!!! Even though i wasn't the biggest fan of the Decatur brothers, I'm anticipating their stories really badly... And OMG!!! I believe that Byron had finally met his match in here!!! Imagine what will happen when their turn will come!!! LOL!!! But first, Dixon and Reagan!!! I can't wait to see what will happen after this epilogue!!!
"There's nothing cute about that boy. He's made up of shards of glass and a lifetime of future horrible decisions. The boy is damaged." "We're all damaged, Don't go looking for a hero in a place that's full of monsters."{Reagan & Delaney talking about Dixon}
P.S. I totally recommend this book, but please, if you want to read it, because these books are interconnecting stories, for a better experience, read them with the right order. And I'm promising you that you are ready for a wild and very unexpected ride!!! So.. buckle up!!!
"Have you ever thought about having a normal senior year?" "Normal is overrated."
**I recieved an ARC for the exchange of an honest review**
So….Glass Heart Hero (GHH) was wild. Lots of secrets, revelations, surprises, and lots and lots of heat 🔥. GHH was a little more intense that the first two books 📚. From the first page I was drawn into the story to the point that I got so into it that I laughed, cried, got mad, got sad, felt bad for the way things were going, wanted to yell at some of the characters, and got more than a little turned on during some scenes. All of this are elements that I look for when reading and rating the books I read. GHH was all about Breaker and Delaney. They were both easy to relate to and love. They both had histories and characteristics that complement each other which made easy to empathize with and want to see they get their own HEA. The upbringing the students from the Glass Heart Academy was used to explain how some characters had a moral compass and attitudes that were better than some who had a sense of entitlement like Tripp and his friends. I love how Breaker can be both considered to be hero 🦸♂ or monster 👺 by Delaney. Definitely did not want to put it down or have any interruptions and finished it in a day as I was hoping to find out what is happening. It’s so easy to relate to the characters and the world of Glass Heart Academy was so interesting that shows the type of writing that Lindsey Iler does. I have read the Glass Heart Academy Series, books 1-3, and I have mot been disappointed in any of them. Next up is Dixon Decatur but I don’t have a name yet and is listed as Untitled (GHA Book 4) on Goodreads. Can’t wait to read all about Dixon. Highly recommend Glass Heart Hero 🦸♂. Hope readers love Glass Heart Hero as much as I do.
A good series will only get better and better as each book releases and that is so very true for the Glass Hearts Academy series.
Glass Heart Hero is definitely a wicked treat that had me completely engaged from start to end. The characters in this series have this way of burrowing into your hearts with such little effort.
Breaker and Delaney's story is complex, having been through something together that one would not want to relive. The undeniable pull towards one another is absolutely undeniable. But Iler doesn't make it easy on you and she definitely had me wanting to scream at certain moments. But no love is easy and this one is full of messy complications and that's putting it freaking mildly.
I'm not big on Academy books but this one is just written so well that at times I forget they are in high school. Dealing with very real adult decisions that some could never fathom. My favorite thing about this series is the family dynamics between the main cast. You can't help but want to be a part of it, and their loyalty to one another runs soooo damn deep.
I can't wait for the next installment. I'm a huge fan of these books. They would make a great netflix series.
I love this series and I love this world that Lindsey Iler has created! Glass Heart Hero is Breaker and Delaney's story. It's frustrating, it's intense, it's emotional and it's addictive!
I usually am not a highlighter unless something stands out that I want to come back to. My kindle copy of Glass Heart Hero is practically blue from all the highlighting I did!
"We've each seen the darkness in the world, Delaney. Don't allow yours to blow out your light. " At the end of Glass Heart Broken, Delaney goes through a traumatic event. One that I don't think anyone was prepared for. In this story, we see how she has coped afterwards.
"A heathen with the kindest soul. That's what you are." Yes he is! I loved Breaker in the first two books and I love him even more after Glass Heart Hero.
"Shut up and show up, then." Don't think that just because Marek and Palmer has had their HEA that they just faded into the background. They are in the mix just like everyone else and Palmer doesn't hold back. I guess you could say she threw down the gauntlet when she said this.
"Even the devil has friends, sweetheart." Let's not forget the two boys who have yet to have their story told! Dixon and Byron are teased in this one and the way the story ended lets me know it's going to be JUICY!
I highly recommend reading the two books prior to Glass Heart Hero. It's not completely necessary but I think there are characters and situations that are mentioned but not explained fully that may leave you wondering.
Triggers Involved : Past Abuse , Non Con scenes (not by H)
Plot Summary : Delaney met breaker at one of the darkest nights of her life. He saved her then only to destroy her later. Breaker lives up to his name and plays with her heart like a fiddle. He gave her hope again and again only to snatch it back.
No matter how much they both tried to stay away from each other, they couldn't. Life had a funny way of making them meet. Delaney never had an easy life. Trapped by a common enemy , she almost died in his grasp. Breaker was there with her again he was there on her darkest night and he saved her here too. The only thing they had in common was the worst moments of their life. So there was no point in staying Together. So she left.
Now months later she is back. Back in front of the boy who made her feel only to break her heart again. The one who saw her at her lowest and never hesitated to save her. The one who hated her now. But he still wanted her.
If only they both could overcome their past.
Overall Opinion : Breaker and Delaney's tale has been a long time coming since the very first book of this series. What started as a simple technique to use her to destroy her friend, turned into so much more. And now breaker and Delaney are face to face again.
Heartbreak and lies still continue to drag them down but this time maybe they'll find something to fight for. Maybe they'll take the ending that should have been theirs all along.
That is until an enemy of their past arrives. Now they are back to square one again. I absolutely loved this book! Breaker and Delaney are pure fire and I have been waiting for their book since the very first book. I knew they had one hell of a tale full of emotions and so much pain that I couldn't help but be intrigued by them.
A must read for all the enemies to lovers romance trope addicts! If you want to read one hell of a second chance romance then look no further. Breaker and Delaney are here!
Glass Heart Hero by Lindsey Iler is book 3 in the Glass Heart Academy series and is a story that I've been anticipating. Why? Because it's Breaker and Delany's story. A story that is so dark, raw and gritty that it's hard not to fall in love with Breaker or feel for both he and Delany and all the trials and tribulations they endured throughout their young lives. If you've read any of the other books in this series, you'll know that Breaker and Delany have always had such a strong connection. But we never knew the full extent of their story until now, and let me tell you, it is completely heartbreaking. Delany is strong and fierce, but at the first sign of trouble, her fight or flight instincts kick in, where her flight response always wins. She may seem a little broken but she is a survivor. Breaker has his own demons and secrets that he has been hiding. He is cool, calm and collected but when it comes to Delany, he is possessive and can be a douche to her but is also patient and very alpha. He'll do anything to win her over and keep her safe, but just exactly how far will he go? These two have always played a cat-and-mouse game, always dancing around each other. Their connection is intense and they always seem drawn to one another. But when another guy comes into the mix, has Breaker lost his chance to be with Delany? OMG, this story. With so many twists and turns, you never know which direction the story is going. You just want answers and find yourself reading page after page and before too long, the book is finished. That's how captivating it is. The drama, mystery, suspense, witty banter and steam are all elements that made this story a great read. But what I admired the most was the loyalty amongst the Glass Heart Boys. I loved how much they all cared for one another and how they were all willing to lay their lives on the line for each other, no questions asked. That's true friendship, family and loyalty. This story was another great installment to the series and the more Lindsey Iler writes about Glass Heart Academy, the more I get drawn into these dark and complex characters. I can't wait to see who's story comes next. Will it be Dixon and Reagan or Bryant and Maddison?
Glass Heart Hero is book 3 in the Glass Heart Academy Series by Lindsay Iler. This time it is Delaney and Breakers story, and boy is it a story! Delaney has had a lot going on in her life and although she is a survivor, it has definitely dinted her armor, to the point where she questions her relationship with Breaker, whilst starting a new one with Tripp. The difficulty is that she is on Breaker’s radar and he and the rest of the Glass Heart boys aren’t going to let her go without a fight!
If you’ve read the previous books in this series, you know there are a lot of twist and turns and a lot of truths coming to the surface (some which are pretty soul destroying) and this book is no difference. The relationship between Breaker and Delaney is heart-stopping, scorching hot and at times complicated. You’re also going to see the rest of the gang from previous books which also adds to the drama. What complicates the story is Tripp and Delaney’s feelings for him, but as the story progresses, we find that everything is not what it seems, which only adds to the secretive elements of the story.
There are a lot of emotions, angst and anger going on in this book and you just want to keep turning the pages to figure out what’s happening, both in the past, present and hopefully the future. This was such a good story and I can’t wait to see what comes next in the series.
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
Have you ever been completely in awe of a book that you really have no idea what to say in a review? Like nothing you write will do how amazing of a story this was justice. That's exactly how im feeling right now. This story was simply fantastic! Ok here it goes......
Glass Heart Hero is the 3rd book in the Glass Heart Academy Series and I'm completely hooked! I'm talking OBSESSED!!!!
This is Breaker and Delaney's story. They got close in the second book of this series and what they go through together in the ending of book 2 just solidify their connection.
Delaney is a survivor. She went through hell and isnt sure of who she is. She's fierce and strong. She has a heart of gold and easy to love.
Breaker our goofball of the group. He's the fun playboy. But he has a past no one knows about. Not even our Glass House Boys. He has seen stuff no kid should have. Together they are a inferno.
This story is not your average bully romance. It's dark and gritty in the best way. The Glass Heart Boys and their girls are a chosen family. Their loyalty to one another in this book is as strong as the first 2.
Lindsey has blown me away with how fantastic this series is! The whole story flowed together in the best way.
Here's a secret.....I have fallen in love with Dixon and I can not wait for his story!!!
I thought I loved Marek but oh Breaker just stole my heart. The Glass Heart boys are the monsters you can’t help but love. But there is something so special about Breaker. His past was heartbreaking & I kind of wish we got to see more of his family. I mean not the crazy, disgusting piece of crap side of his family but the better half.
I really wasn’t sure I even liked Delaney for the first part of this book. She was so wish washy & I get that she had been through a lot but I hated how she treated Breaker. I despised Tripp. The gauntlet was absolutely insane & I loved every minute of it.
Their story was a rollercoaster with even more secrets revealed. I couldn’t believe everything that happened in this book. It only made me love Breaker more, especially at the end. He’s the perfect mix of hero & monster.
Let me say that I truly loved Palmer and Marek’s story. I’m not generally one for character series, but I loved Breaker because of his and Palmer’s friendship so I was excited to read his and Delaney’s story.
I absolutely love Breaker’s character and seeing the growth of his bestfriends from the previous two books. I didn’t love Delaney’s character in this book. She has been through something traumatic which is bound to change a person, but I found her character to be annoyingly back-and-forth and whiney. I loved who she turned out to be towards the end during the big turning point of the book (don’t want to give too much!).
As was the other two books, this is such an emotional roller coaster and something always happening to these characters. I hope to see more of Dixon in the next book!
Wow wow wowwwww!!!! I loved Breaker in book 1 and loved him even more in this book!!! It took a bit for me to warm up to Delaney because of somethings that she was dealing with which she wasn’t handling well. Breaker was an axing but he had some demons to deal with and some dark secrets that were heartbreaking that when it surfaced my heart broke for him. Then there was a crazy twist that rattled things between him and Delaney but not for long. Palmer was a great friend to both and was very motherly towards both. Her friendship with Breaker puts a smile on your face. This group of friends ride or die for each other and the things they do oh my. Can’t wait for book 3 because hmmmmmmm let’s see how things go. It’s never a dull moment in the Glass House!!
I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. I love these boys even though they are so twisted and dark. The way they protect each other and there loved ones is so admiring. Breaker name fits him perfectly he's crazy but out of all the boys I would say he's the most tame and that is putting very mildly. Cause he's crazy bit his boys are worse. I was really struggling with Dealaney for bit there, In hated the way she was treating Breaker he deserved better, she's still strong she needed that extra push. I'm so exciting for Dixon and Bryon I love those two brothers. I also love Madison. I think you will too. Reagan I'm still on the fence about. Marek and palmer are my favourite couple.
I really need to catch up with this series because damn did it leave me itching for more.
Both Delaney and Breaker certainly left a mark on me. I loved these characters so much. Both were very strong characters that made it a fast paced story.
These rich kid type of books are my top reads. There is something about them that make my fingers itch to read them. There is always, I mean always some great drama, angst and emotion rolled up together that leaves you totally sated at the end.
I was consumed from beginning to end!
4 Stars
**Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**
Breaker has been my man from the beginning and I have been salivating to get his story since Glass Heart Savage. I knew his book was going to be good but I didn’t know it was going to be this good. This book was more. Breaker is just unstoppable. He’s loyal and trusting but if you hurt him or those he loves, then he will come after you with everything he has.
Glass Heart Hero is everything you want in a relationship between Breaker and Delaney. This book is hot, hot, hot. Get ready to have your heart broken and put back together. You’ll be angry, you’ll be mad, you’ll be sad, you’ll be ecstatic, you’ll fall in love.
A suspenseful, dark read with twisty turns and a delicious bad boy hero!
Breaker is a dark hero who doesn't see himself in that light whatsoever. He's a tattooed bad boy who lives in a glass house with the devil and his demons. While Breaker may be the nicest demon that lives at Glass House, it still doesn't make him less of a monster, at least in his eyes. However, if you ask his buddies, his buddies girls, and even Delaney, the title of hero comes in many forms, and just because you may be a monster, doesn't lesson you from being a hero when the situation calls for it.
Breaker will do anything to save those he cares about and he doesn't care what those consequences are. Sounds pretty heroic if you ask me? However, according to Breaker, because those morals of his would make him do anything from giving the shirt off his back up to digging the grave to bury the body he help decimate, well he has no compass when it comes to what his limit is, hence he doesn't see himself as a hero. Still...the fact that he cares and will be there no matter what, yeah Breaker is completely sigh worthy.
Now, don't discredit in thinking Breaker is a complete monster, Breaker is definitely the one guy among his friends who probably has more of a conscience and a soft spot than any of the others. He's the one who lead both Marek and Byron to see semblance of reason, he keeps Dixon out major trouble, and he now looks after the girls who have become special to each of them as well. But who keeps Breaker safe and keeps the demons from riding too hard on his back?
What drives this dark hero and what haunts him? It is both the same girl that brings him sanity and drives him crazy. Delaney has been with him through a lot already, but last semester broke her. She ran after her friend, Palmer, went through a harrowing ordeal and Delaney was dragged into it and barely escaped. Instead of staying and finding comfort with her friends and more importantly Breaker, she went home and ended up finding solace in a straight laced, khaki/polo wearing boy named Tripp.
Tripp and Breaker go head to head over winning Delaney's affections, while the boys at Glass Heart also continue working on uncovering the conspiracy that almost lead to the girls demise last semester. A conspiracy that runs decades deep and is more twisted into their backgrounds than they all realize.
Glass Heart Hero is full of suspense, action, and steamy heat. Delaney and Breaker work on a relationship that is broken by a past full of demons and a future that has a potential for more. Can they push past them and really make a relationship work based on a foundation full of darkness?
Welcome back to Glass Heart Academy where lies, deceit and corruption are just part of the education.
I'm going to be honest with you, I've been WAITING for our boy Breaker's story since the first chapter of Glass Heart Savage. Since the very moment we were introduced to the boys from the glass house. Lindsey has this innate ability to create characters that feel like I've known them forever. And every time I doubt that I can become more enchanted with them, she peels back a new layer, further embedding them in my heart.
“Broken is beautiful. A guy like him may not see it, but the rest of us do, Delaney. When you’re ready for us to show you, you know where to find us.” - Breaker Davenport
Breaker and Delaney were shattering for me. Their love story is everything and completely heart breaking, simultaneously. Delaney Chambers, the girl from a family steeped in expectation. Who holds me in awe of her strength and self awareness. And Breaker Davenport, the boy with a heart, living among monsters. A golden heart and a haunted soul. Together, they are a nearing thunderstorm. Flashes of lightning and crashing thunder, tumbling across the sky out of sync with one another. Until they are directly overhead and finally convene into a masterpiece. One that you can't look away from.
“I’ve looked in the eyes of true evil. Don’t think for a second that you scare me.” - Delaney Chambers
It's no secret that I absolutely adore Lindsey's writing. It moves me in unexpected ways. This one, maybe more than any others have. But that could just be because there is little I love more than a deeply misunderstood book boy. I can't wait to wrap my head around the remaining two Glass House Boys. And any future worlds she grants us the opportunity to fall in love with.
Lindsey Iler blew me away with the Glass Heart Academy series. When I read the first book I was in awe. Dark and gritty, it the complete opposite of what I was accustomed to from her but everything I love. I raved about this series and couldn't get enough! This is her genre and she's found her niche. Let me tell you something GHH was worth every tortuous minute of the wait. Iler did her damn thing with Glass Heart Hero, delivering a world of darkness packed with explosive chemistry, action, and emotions that bleed off the page.
Breaker and Delaney had a connection in the previous books book so I was excited to see how their relationship would play out. The depth and strength of their connection far exceeded my expectations. The love triangle with Tripp was incredibly frustrating and left me wanting to smack Delaney, but it also showed the strength of Breaker and Delaney's relationship and how much he truly loved her. What they experienced together was traumatizing and I loved that Iler was able to show how they each interpreted what happened that night so differently, and for them to work through things together.
I will admit Delaney frustrated me at times with her constant running, but Breaker was the epitome of strength and patience when it came to her. I loved how he was so possessive and protective yet was able to step back and let Delaney think things through at her own pace. As with all the Glass Heart books, friendship, protectiveness, trust and loyalty are key elements in this story. The closeness and the depths of their relationships is incomparable.
Lindsey Iler has created this dark and twisted world that consumed me from the get-go. I was all in with Breaker and Delaney. Page after page of emotional turmoil, angst, and intimate moments that can only be described as straight fire, Glass Heart Hero is a story you don't want to miss. A 5 star read that will have you on the edge of your seat. And when you get to the end, you'll fall right off the cliff Iler left for you.....Dixon and Raegan can't get her fast enough.
You may as well have tattooed your name on my damn heart, baby, because no matter what happens, even when I wasn't yours, you've always been mine." 😍😍😍
Delaney isn't the same girl she use to be, something was taken from her that she'll never be able to get back, or even fully recover from. During that dark time in her life there was one boy who stood by her, brought her comfort and support when she needed it, and truly made her feel loved. But she isn't so sure he is the boy meant to have her whole heart, because long before he came along there was another who held it. And Breaker Davenport isn't so willing to give up what little of it he has left...
Glass Heart Hero is the heart-wrenching story of a girl stuck between two boys who want to claim her as their own. Tripp may have helped her pick up the pieces of her world after it came crumbling down, but it was Breaker who saved her from the clutches of the darkness. She cares for both of them, for very different reasons, but she can only give her heart to one of them. It isn't an easy decision, she appreciates the things Tripp has done for her and she cares for him, but her heart doesn't skip a beat for him the way it does when Breaker is near. But Breaker reminds her of a place she never wants to go again, the place that stole everything from her. The fight for her heart is bound to be a dirty one, and both boys are armed and ready for battle... but which one will win?
This dramatic little page-turner will steal your attention from the first page and hold it dearly until the last. It's one of those reads that will have you mad one moment and smiling the next; it's edgy, emotional, passionate, and riddled with heart squeezing angst! All the things I love in a story!! Can't wait to see where the words take us next in this series! Highly recommend this one, once you pick it up you won't be able to put it down until you have devoured every last word!!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
Lindsey Iler has a gift for writing. She has perfected the art of creating coming of age, broody, alpha boys who demand your not just your attention, but your loyalty and affection. Breaker's story is a perfect example of her perfecting her craft. We meet him as one of the four in book one of this series. Of all the dark, damaged deviants in this series, Breaker is the one with the kindest heart. You couldn't help but like him in the previous books, even when he's a part of the groups dark antics.
Breaker and Delaney are both involved heavily in the previous books. They circle one another like cats, with claws out and sharpened tongues, they fight their own natures as they grow increasingly closer. Without spoiling this story, the events in the previous two books have literally driven a wedge between the two - causing them all to suffer (not just Breaker and Delaney) and play a literal game of cat an mouse. Will their demons bring them together or rip them apart?
The story has a great plot, with more fall out from the previous books explained. More of the hot broody Dixon, psychotic Byron, and a fierce by loving Marek/Palmer there to support Breaker in his journey to win Delaney back. The story is full of sass, suspense, steam and angst that keeps you from doing anything but reading. This is such a great story. Mysteries abound, new characters are revealed, truths exposed, lives changed. In short it is a great story. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next installment of this series with this group of Savages.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Breaker was my kind of hero! 4.5 stars rounding up to 5
I was eagerly anticipating Breaker’s book, and this book had me from the first pages and never let me go. I was immersed in this Glass Heart Academy world, and I did not want to leave it when it was over. My heart ached and broke for Breaker all through this book. He was so much more than I hoped for: he was a broken, imperfect complicated but beautiful man. At times, he made me swoon with his thoughts, words and actions. He was possessive, trustworthy, strong, sexy, smart, humorous, loyal to those he loved yet not afraid to get his hands dirty, so with all of that he definitely was my kind of hero. Delaney frustrated me a bit, but that night changed her (that’s not a spoiler because it is in the blurb). I did end up understanding her and admiring her at certain points. Breaker and Delaney’s turning point was beautifully heartbreaking, and their path to togetherness was not an easy one just like Marek and Palmer before them. There were twists I did not see coming plus profound quotes about life and love that made me love this author and her storytelling so much. I highly recommend this story about messy, complicated, wild, beautifully heartbreaking love, and I can’t wait for Dixon’s book!

Glass Heart Hero is dark, delicious and addicting! This must read is a fantastic addition the the Glass Heart Academy series from Lindsey Iler. From start to finish GHH had me hooked. I could not put this book down and each page left me needing more.
Breaker stole my Heart in the duet and just continued to keep it right through Hero. He's the sweet, caring one with a dark side that just makes him even more irresistible. Delaney is the perfect counterpart to Breaker.
Glass Heart Hero has just the right amount of everything, steam, mystery, action, betrayal, friendship and love. Her writing and plot is flawless as always. While I love Iler's sweet, angsty writing she has really found herself with this dark world that is Glass Heart Academy.
Iler never misses a beat while delivering this absolutely amazing book and setting up book four.
Glass Heart Hero is a must read dark romance! This 5 star read will have you falling in love with Lindsey and the Glass Heart Boys. Do yourself a favor and read this book today!
What for a read! After reading Glass Heart Broken I've been looking forward for Breakers and Delaneys story - and Lindsey didn't disappoint!
To be honest, I wanted to hate Delaney...but I couldn't. Not really. She, Breaker...what am I telling: everyone of them went through so many things that I understood her actions. Her wishes. That she was broken somehow. The best: she wasn't a doormat. But still...I didn't like how she went away from Breaker. My poor baby...I have a soft spot for him. Breaker himself...is it enough when I'm telling you, that he was everything!?
The back and forth between them went on till 51% if the book ... but it wasn't annoying nor was the rest. It was full of suspense, friendship, love and feelings.
I'm recommending this book (also the previous two books in the series for a better understanding for Breaker and Delaney) to you.
Where to even begin? Lindsey had once again destroyed and mended my heart at the same time!
Breaker has had my soul I the palm of his hands from the beginning! He’s a sinister, teddy bear! Not one to back down, to protect the ones he loves at any cost, go to any lengths! He also is the hero, the conscience that our Glass House tribe needs!
Delaney is the strong survivor. She gets a little lost along the way trying to put her pieces back together! She’s fierce and beautiful!
Breaker and Delaney together are a force to be reckoned with! They easily took Marek and Palmers spot in my heart, which I never thought was possible!
A beautifully, dark story for a beautifully dark couple!
We were introduced to Breaker and Delaney in Glass Heart Savage. Breaker has intrigued me since the very first time he was introduced, I loved the friendship he shared with Palmer, and couldn’t wait for him to have his own book. I have to say I am in no way disappointed! I love the relationship between him and Delaney. She is a strong female lead, who in no way needs rescuing. It’s refreshing to see two characters who aren’t one dimensional, neither of them are easily categorized as good or evil. Glass Heart Hero is dark, gritty, full of suspense and heat. I cannot recommend this enough!
YES!!!!!! This was everything I had hoped it would be! Barrett Breaker Davenport is IT! He is absolutely amazing in this book! You will feel the passion him and Delaney have for each other the entire time. Just like the other two books in the Glass Heart Academy series this is a ride you don’t want to end. Every page is addictive!
It’s all there.... fantastic story, amazing characters, and the steam is off the charts 🔥I guarantee you will love Breaker and Delaney as much as I do 🥰
Now bring on Dixon! I can’t wait to get inside the head of that twisted genius!
