I loved this book it was on that was based on a three sister who have not seen each other in over thirty-five years. The mother wants only one thing and that is to get her three daughter together just once. It is a very touching story that is based in America.
Tammy moved to America with her father and went through a lot of spots in her life and then she had Matt and she straightened out. She was a single mom when she met Dwayne and worked with him on his fishing boat and became a fisherwoman. The two of them worked so good together when they where apart they missed each other they where like teenagers. She love doing it and Matt her son stayed with a friend during the week so he could go to school and was with her on the weekends on the boat. Things where going great for them they talked about renting a house and then things started to change for them. They stopped fishing and then Dwayne went with a friend of and that was the start of a good thought and then they took there own boat down and got nothing and that was the end of the fishing. Tammy wanted to be home with Matt and wanted to have a regular paycheck coming. So they went home sitting on the couch watching a movie Dwayne got a phone call and it was his dad and asked how long him and Tammy had been together so he asked Tammy and she told him 7 yrs and then he asked if they ever planned on getting married and he asked Tammy and she and I guess some day. Then his dad ask about a certain day and he asked Tammy and she said ok. Then when he came back in and sat down she asked what that was all about asked her if she was sure and she yes and she asked if he could handle her and he told her yes. Matt yelled I get a dad now ! Yes buddy you do.!
A lot had changed after she got married for Tammy, Matt and Dwayne they bought a house and took a long time to get it done. She too a trip to Ireland and then spent time a couple weeks with Donna. Then she found out that she had health issues she had to deal with. Matt shared news when she got back from Ireland.
Tammy found out that life was to precious to wait to the last minute to do what you can do now.
Tina did a very awesome with this book. I enjoyed reading it and I recommend it to others who love a story that one lady did some much good for herself and her family. Tina you hit out of the park with this one.

Another winner! Was thrilled to get an ARC of this book by one of my favorite authors. Part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Since it is not out yet, I would recommend reading Book 2 and 3 first.

Tammy, Jenny and Donna are sisters. In so many families its not odd to find separation between siblings. But their mother has one wish - just to see all her girls together again. But time seems to have a habit of getting away from us, and so the sisters find this a difficult task. Each with their own lives, their own troubles....not a task that is easy.

A heart warming story of family, love and perseverance among sisters who despite obstacles can strive toward togetherness. Loved the story and the whole series and will always read a Tina Hogan Grant book. Pre-order yours now....to be released February 5, 2021.....you wont regret it! #fivestars #ARC

I have devoured all the books written by Tina Hogan Grant. She is a wonderful story teller and her writing touches the heart. The Reunions is a third book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. Its a journey about Tammy as a fisherwoman who along with her husband works very hard to make a living. In all these years of her busy life and serious health issues she is unable to see her sisters, parents and her friends who live far from each other. It was Tammy’s mom’s only wish to see all her daughters together. Will Tammy be able to make her wish come true, will there be a reunion? This journey of Tammy’s life will leave readers with a different perspective on life. It will leave you with an understanding that life is very short and fragile and that one should enjoy each day thoroughly. It definitely touched me as I live miles away from my family and don’t see them often. I could totally relate to Tammy’s mom who suffered from dementia as my own father is going through this horrible disease.Tina Hogan thank you so much for sharing the ARC of your book with me in return of my honest review. I highly recommend everyone reading this wonderful book which will touch you in many ways and look at life differently.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. This is book 3 however, this can be read as a stand alone. I have not read the other 2 books yet but I know plan on reading them. This is takes you on quite the adventure with Tammy. Tammy and Dwayne have been commercial fishing for a few years. Tina made you feel like you were on the boat with them. Tammy has 2 other sisters that she has not seen in years because she is always on the water. Tammy's mother and sister both live in London and her other sister lives in US and her mother kept saying her only wish is to see all 3 girls in the same room. Tammy faces many obstacles, her sister's husband's death and her own fathers death. Each time she thinks of her mother's wish. Tammy has always vowed to make her wish come true. Dwayne is by Tammy's side for all the up's and downs she is facing. This is such a great book and hard to put down and you just don't want it to end. This is a story about telling you why you should never put off your dreams because you never know what will happen tomorrow. Great read and I can't wait to read the other books.

I’ll tell you what all the Hype is about, only if you what to talk...Adventures!
Tina Hogan Grant has done it again! ‘Reunions’ is without question an adventurous, page turning book filled with excitement.
Two commercial fishermen. Tammy, a beautiful, strong willed woman and Dwayne, a kindhearted, hardworking man, along with Tammys son, Matt, capture your heart from the very first chapter.
Fishing, and loving their life at sea, while living on their boat, you experience the physical and emotional pains of commercial fishing and being away from home for days on end.
You will laugh out loud as Tammy offers her explanation of the “blood found dripping from the back of their pickup,” to a “horrendous bait intruder,” and Tammy fulfilling her duty for the “Navy Seals.”
Being a fisherman is a hard life; throw living on a boat together into the mix and you get a good cause for very uncomfortable living quarters.
However life takes a turn for the better after they find a home they can afford to rent and begin arrangements for traveling back to England, where sister meets sister. However, will a horrible medical diagnosis take Tammy on a detour to following up on her dream?
You will quickly be rooting for them as they continue one adventure after another.
Is Tammy able to reunite with members of her family or is it to late...Find out!

I have read all of Tina Hogan Grant's books and this one definitely did not disappoint. Oh my gosh, what an awesome story. Have your Kleenex ready. This story about Tammy and the back breaking work she did as a fisherwoman is unbelievable. Can't even imagine being able to do what she did. She and her husband definitely were a team. Tammy and her two sisters lived far apart from each other and it had been years since she had seen them. Her mom and dad were miles away also and visits were infrequent. A story of hard working people, the love for family, the miles that separated them all, everyday life that got in the way, illnesses, overcoming health issues, the loss of life, and finally the big sister reunion which fulfilled a wish. As was said at the end of the story, don't procrastinate and chase your dreams! I definitely highly recommend this book... I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

The Reunions by Tina Hogan Grant
What a great book!! The story has come full circle.
Three sisters are spread across the globe, two in the US and one in England. They have promised their mother they would all get together soon, a reunion. But, life happens. It is difficult to get schedules to align. They deal with aging parents, relationships, death, children, hardships and health issues. The story is very poignant and raw. It is a good idea to keep some tissue handy.
Ms. Grant has a way of writing that brings your emotions to the surface. It is real life. The everyday struggles that we all go through. She had me hooked in the first couple of pages. I was just as caught up in the descriptions of the ocean and the fishing adventures as I was with the mountain scenery.
Do yourself a favor and pick up this book. You won’t be disappointed. I think it can be read as a stand alone book. But, you might as well pick up Reckless Beginnings and Better Endings too. You will want to read the rest of the story.
Enjoy!

***BUY A BOX OF TISSUES***

I waited what seemed like forever for this. And it did not disappoint. I spent the entire book literally on the edge of my seat.

I don’t remember ever crying so much during a book, or rooting for an outcome like I did reading The Reunions. From book 1, Reckless Beginnings, to the second book, Better Endings, right through the conclusion in The Reunions, I never stopped feeling what Tammy Mellows felt. I’ve never been drawn in or so invested in anything I’ve ever read as I did with this trilogy.

Thank you, Tina Hogan Grant, for sharing your story. I’ll always hold it close to my heart.

What an amazing journey this book takes you on! Tammy, a fisherwoman, Dwayne, a fisherman, and her son Matt all live on a boat and rely on their catches to live. So many things happen over so many years. Tammy and Dwayne are the perfect couple. Dwayne is by her side no matter what thru it all. An unexpected event turns their days at sea upside down (you have got to read to find out what) and they have to decide the next course of action. Tammy’s mom is always telling her she wants all her daughters together once again. All three are spread out in different areas of the world. Will her wish ever come thru? What if anything will bring them together again? This story of Tammy’s is filled with joy , heartbreak, love, perseverance, and determination. You won’t want to put it down.Make sure you have the tissues for the adventure you are about to go on.

The Reunions, by Tina Hogan Grant, takes the reader on an emotional journey as Tammy Mellows—separated from her twin sisters by her parents’ divorce and geography—is driven to fulfill her mother’s wish “to be in the same room with all three of her daughters.” Set against the backdrop of the California coast where Tammy and her husband spend their days lobstering, The Reunions offers up equal parts of joy, gut-wrenching disappointments, and heartbreaking losses. At its core, this wonderful novel is a tribute to family ties, and a reminder of the folly of failing to seize the moment. The third book in the Tammy Mellows series, The Reunions can be enjoyed as a stand-alone read.

I enjoyed this book immensely. The author does an incredible job with description and visualization, and I felt like I was a part of the story. Intertwined with the escape to another world is a story of three sisters and a mother who desperately wants to be reunited with all three of her daughters. Be prepared for the sea of emotions this author will elicit as you read the story.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Living on a boat with barely two nickels to rub together, Tammy works herself to the bone along side her boyfriend making a living as a fisherwoman. This lifestyle causes her to go years without seeing family members and friends. She dreams of having a home her family can visit, a yard for her son, and friends once again.

This story will inspire you to endeavor to prioritize making time for close family ties, cause you feelings of love and gratitude, and make you think twice about the expressions “all talk and no action”, “you have to plan to make it happen” and “ life is short “.

Amazing Ending to a Wonderful Trilogy

The Reunions by Tina Hogan Grant was a beautiful, emotion packed read. The first thing I loved about this book was the way it ended. It made the trilogy complete. I routed for the three sisters and the harrowing ordeals each faced. I don't want to give away any details but trust me when I say this book will far exceed your expectations and resonate with you for a long time. I highly recommend The Reunions by Tina Hogan Grant for one of your TBR books. Get your copy on Amazon today.

This is book 3, and the final book in the Tammy Mellows series. Tammy and Dwayne have now been fishing for several years. But she can not get the thought of her mother’s wish out if her head, ‘I want to see my 3 girls together again in the same place’. But for Tammy, that wasn’t a possibility, because the life of a commercial fisherman didn’t have time for breaks. But a many later, then two sudden deaths, and 2 life threatening scares of her own lead Tammy to change her mind, and focus more on her family. And she vows to make her mother’s wish happen. But, will they be able to, after all this time, before it is too late?

I absolutely loved this finally installment in this series. Tammy is a strong woman, that has dealt with a lot in her life. But she pushes through. There were several parts of this book that had me in tears. This is definitely worth a read. And the fact that it’s all based off true events makes it even more incredible.

I had to set this book down several times, simply because I didn't want it to end. I have enjoyed Tammy's story and how it all culminates in The Reunions. Tina Hogan Grant takes you through Tammy's challenges of sobriety, illness, and distanced families with hard work and resolve. Tammy decides to no longer procrastinate in life and to share hope with others. Tina Hogan Grant does exactly that in the pages of The Reunions.

Side notes: The author greatly details the experiences of fishing for lobster. I have enjoyed this. And I enjoyed how she brought England to life on the page.

I received an advanced readers copy for my honest review of this book. This is definitely a book I would pick up to read and share with others.

Thank you to the author for this book which I won on Tattered Pages Book Club on FB.

This is the 3rd of the series and the last from what I read in the acknowledgements. It was based on her life. I find it extraordinarily interesting that she didn't see her sisters in 35 years. What a reunion this book was at almost the end with the 3 sisters.

It basically focused on Tammy and her husband Dwayne when they were lobster fishermen and then it branched out years later when they retired and built their new home in the mountains of California, and their life together and her health problems.

I learned a lot about lobstering that's for sure and the life they live doing this, which is not an easy one and a rough one at that, practically living on a boat most of the time. It jumped around a lot in years in a few chapters, one 3-4 years, and then all of a sudden it was 10 years later. I know you can't put every year in a book but still.

I think this is a new book, published a few weeks before I read it, but the errors were numerous. It wasn't a distraction but sometimes I just shook my head and said to myself, how could not anyone notice them since they were glaring.

I basically enjoyed it but it was a little too smoochy, smoochy to me between Tammy and Dwayne after a while.

Book Review: The Reunions~ The Tammy Mellows Series (Book 3) by author, Tina Hogan Grant
ARC

Author Tina Hogan Grant does not disappoint with her conclusion to The Tammy Mellows Series. A story with spark, grit, strength and determination through life's most difficult of challenges, yet gives the gift of hope, love and happiness and allows it to shine through which makes for a more than satisfying read.

The Reunions, which can be read as a stand-alone, is an emotionally descriptive narrative which takes the reader on a journey of the heart along the path of life's hopes and dreams, love, loss~ and everything in between.

From the deep waters of the ocean to the scenic mountains of Northern California and beyond, Tammy Mellows' adventurous spirit never faulters. A woman with immeasurable strength and courage, who although has seen her share of obstacles, holds tightly to her love of family and the need to make one very important wish come true. A wish Tammy would move the sun, the moon and the stars for, but will it be to late...

The Reunions brings to the reader the tears of joy and tears of pain by showing us life is a balance of holding on and letting go.

I thank the author for allowing me the opportunity to read and review this wonderfully written narrative, and series, that I truly enjoyed~ and have to say I'm equally saddened in knowing it has come to a close.

Wow—"The Reunions” really hit home for me. It’s one of those books that makes you stop and think about how fast life moves, and how important it is to not put off the things (or people) that matter most.

The story follows Tammy, a tough, hardworking fisherwoman who spends most of her time out at sea with her husband. She’s strong, determined, and honestly, kind of a badass. But despite all that grit, she’s been holding onto this one big regret: she hasn’t seen her two sisters in years. Their mom’s only wish is to have all her girls together again, but between oceans, time, and life getting in the way, it’s not that simple.

Without giving too much away, Tammy faces some real challenges—loss, scary health issues, and emotional decisions—and through it all, she keeps thinking about her mom’s wish. The question is: will she be able to make it happen in time?

Tina Hogan Grant totally pulls you in. You can almost smell the salt air and feel the waves on Tammy’s boat, but what really stays with you is the emotional journey. It’s real, raw, and relatable—especially if you live far from family or have ever felt like time slipped away from you.

This is the third book I’ve read by Tina and I’ve loved them all. “The Reunions” is heartfelt, inspiring, and full of moments that will stick with you long after you turn the last page. If you like family stories with heart and depth, “The Reunions” is a must-read. Just maybe keep some tissues nearby!

Families move apart in this modern world, sometimes at great distances. But love binds them to each other and pulls at the heart strings for them to come together again. In Tina Hogans Grant’s new book “The Reunions” we read of the love that pulls together a family over the seas that separates them.

Three sisters spend the majority of their lives apart, sometimes not far, but for many years hundreds of miles separates them. Life tosses roads blocks in their way that prevents them from reuniting as their aging mothers dreams of them doing. Can these sisters overcome the barriers that separate them? Will their mother every see her daughters in the same room again? What will it take to have the reunion they all long for happen?

Grant supplies many emotional, tear jerking scenes in her novel that bring those moments in her story straight to the reader’s heart. She has a way with words that envelopes the reader deep into her tale and makes them feel they are living the story for themselves! I am sure I would not be the only one who while reading this book had to grab a tissue!

To acquire a copy of this book for ones self is highly recommend!

Tina Hogan Grant knows how to write a story that pulls out all emotions.

You will not be able to read The Reunions without feeling everything that Grant poured into her book. This story is beautifully written, you feel hope, joy, moments of sadness, but most of all you feel Tammy's strength and determination to get through lifes challenges. You feel Tammy's dreams and hope's as if they are your own. This was an amazing way to end a series!

I'm a bookworm and have yet to find a book that could bring tears to my eyes, Grant's book did just that, it brought tears to my eyes. I highly recommend picking up this book today!

This is the 3rd book in the series and can be read as a stand alone but I highly suggest picking up the first 2 books. You won't regret it!

I was given a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest review.

I absolutely loved The Reunions. 3 sisters separated at an early age and their mother’s only wish was to see them all back together in the same room. Tammy, knew she wanted to make it happen but life got in the way. As their mother’s health rapidly declined, Tammy wished she had not procrastinated, and wondered if it was to late. With her own health issues, she once again had to put it off. But vowed that as soon as she was able, she would get all three of them back together even if their mother couldn’t be there. It had been 35 years since the twins, Donna and Jenny had seen each and Tammy, knew that now was the time to stop putting it off, or it would never happen. And there was another dream that still had to be fulfilled. I highly recommend reading this book, you will not be disappointed! And continuing reading about the author, at the end! You will be pleasantly surprised

After reading the first two books in the Tammy Mellows Series, I felt as though I was a part of the family. Tina's books are full of adventure as much on the ground as on the sea. Her Mom and sister lived in England and she and her other sister lived in the States. Her Father left the States and lived in Ireland. they were apart, and the need to see each other again was great. The hardship of losing her brother-in-law and Father and eventually losing her Mother through Demethia was so hard to bear. It all comes down to the hard lesson we get from Tina's book which is to not put off what we want to do today because there may not be a tomorrow. Life is too short and we may never get to do or see people or places if we keep waiting. I recommend reading.

OMGosh, what an awesome book! I finished The Reunions by Tina Hogan Grant, I didn’t want it to end because then it was just that...THE END! I fell into the story, a bit like Alice in Wonderland, & it soon became a part of my life! Tammy & her family’s experiences were so real, many of them hit home for me. I laughed, cried, felt joy & sadness, smelled the sea air, heard the waves of the ocean, tasted the seafood, felt every one of Tammy’s physical aches & emotional pains, & saw the lush landscapes of England. Tina has an excellent way of describing what the five senses perceive that you can experience every event as if you’re there.
By the end of this book, I just wanted to hug Tammy & all her family close & never say goodbye!

This is book three in the Tammy Mellow Series by Tina Hogan Grant. I won a copy from The Read More Books group on Face Book. Since I always prefer to read a series in order I immediately downloaded the first two books in this series. These were the first books I have read by this author.

I admit the first book did not thrill me. As I said in my review for Reckless Beginnings, Tammy’s propensity for making bad choices really bothered me. Then in the second book, Better endings, she really started to grow up and became one heck of a strong, more responsible woman.

In this final book, The Reunions, I really thought things came together well except one - having to do with her mother. I won’t give it away, but it bothered me. Then in the acknowledgements I read that this series was based on the author’s own life. That was a surprise and boy do I have immense respect for her for putting it all down like that. What an adventure she has had!! So impressed with her time as a fisherwoman and all she accomplished!! I’m glad to have read this series!!
