Amo tutto il mondo che circola intorno ai club di motociclistici e ho scelto questo libro proprio perché si presentava come un’avventura di viaggi in moto e adrenalina, ma, quello che ho trovato è stato un romanzo su mafiosi e vendette.
La nostra storia inizia in modo brutale, con Lucky Davinno che si trova in uno dei posti più malfamati della città per nascondersi dagli assassini che hanno ucciso i suoi zii e il cuginetto per una vendetta di sangue.
Lucky era uscita di nascosto con degli amici e così si è salvata la vita senza saperlo. Ma tornare a casa e trovare tutta la famiglia assassinata è uno shock: ha perso tutte le persone care che aveva. I suoi genitori sono morti quando era piccolissima in un incidente d’auto e gli zii l’avevano cresciuta per entrare nel giro della famiglia mafiosa a cui suo zio apparteneva, riciclando i soldi della famiglia Ricci, la più importante del paese.
Parte, quindi, per la vendetta e, durante il viaggio, incontra due motociclisti che stanno cercando di raggiungere un club sicuro dopo che il loro, il Tribal Dogs Motor Club, è stato sterminato dai mafiosi russi poiché non avevano accettato di lavorare per loro come sicurezza nei trasporti di schiave del sesso e bambini.
Tex e Siege sono gli unici rimasti del loro club, dei maledetti mafiosi hanno assassinato tutta la loro famiglia, compresi donne e bambini.
Si rivolgono ai club vicini per del supporto e incontreranno alla Pista, il posto più malfamato della città e perfetto per nascondersi quando si è in fuga, una ragazza molto bella, Lucky appunto. I tre scopriranno ben presto di avere nemici comuni e decideranno di unirsi per cercare vendetta.
Tra Tex e Lucky però l’attrazione è forte e i due nonostante cerchino di stare a distanza e non affezionarsi non potranno ostacolare i loro sentimenti.
Che dirvi se non che questa storia ha un ritmo molto veloce ma, purtroppo, la scarsa revisione si nota, difatti alcune frasi sembrano scritte di getto senza poi essere state rilette e sistemate. Alcuni errori ortografici e il voler far sembrare supereroi i protagonisti azzerano il realismo che io adoro.
Lucky è una super tosta ma l’autrice l’ha resa così dura che si fa fatica a pensare a lei come una persona reale. Si è addestrata così duramente per tutta la vita per entrare a far parte della famiglia mafiosa che è diventata crudele con i più deboli e il fatto che si sappia difendere non è un deterrente per l’immunità ai sensi di colpa, ma, considerando che trova giusto agire per vendetta oserei dire che non ne prova affatto.
Tex, d’altro canto, del motociclista ha ben poco; ok è un gran frigo, ma questo non è sufficiente a renderlo tosto infatti nel libro sembra quasi sia lui la fanciulla da difendere e non Lucky.
I malavitosi russi poi, sono dei veri scemi, vengono descritti come degli ebeti che possono essere raggirati facilmente anche da un ragazzino senza immaginazione, davvero poco realistico.
I personaggi non ci vengono descritti fisicamente e questo mi ha reso difficile immaginarli; quello a cui punta la Maddix è il descrivere un film malavitoso a parole ma il voler aggiungere troppe informazioni, alle volte, rovina l’effetto “Wow” che in questo libro, nonostante l’azione sia il fulcro della storia, si perde e non lascia nulla di sé.
Tex e Lucky si alternano i capitoli raccontando le loro storie e i loro sentimenti, non che Lucky ne abbia molti, e ci fa capire ciò che è successo prima e che li ha portati a dove sono.
La mancanza di un editing per me è una pecca enorme che non rende giustizia a una storia che forse poteva essere qualcosa di molto interessante.

Lucky is a badass — trained by her uncle to take over his position as the bookkeeper in the Ricci mafia family. Her plans drastically change when her uncle, aunt, and cousin Landon are murdered in her home and she barely escapes. Joining up with Tex and Siege who barely escaped the massacre of the motorcycle club themselves, they set out for revenge against the Russian mafia family who put out the hit. But things hardly ever go to plan when spirits and the heart are involved, even if you try to ignore them.
I didn’t necessarily enjoy the pacing of this book, it felt slow and cumbersome to get through. But I really enjoyed the characters of Lucky and Tex. They were completely different “people” with similar (but different) backstories and differing motivations for everything they did. The romance was cute, though it wasn’t as prevalent as I would have liked considering it was a huge motivator for Lucky and Tex at the end of the book, plus it seems to lead into a sequel. Plot line was pretty good and believable considering the mafia/biker club trope/characters. It was obvious that the plans and plot line were drafted in the right way, with enough thought behind them, that it wasn’t boring to read once the action started. I just wish the pacing in the beginning was a bit better and less worldbuildy and that the romance between Tex and Lucky developed more naturally and was a bit more obvious through something other than inner monologue and dialogue with secondary characters.
But it’s a good MC/mafia book for those who enjoy those tropes and the plot line itself is really good. I definitely enjoyed this book

Loved this book. The deeper I got into it, the more I kept turning the pages.
Why? Consider the below:
✰ Action …. oh yeah, and lots of it.
✰ Revenge …. who doesn’t like seeing some sowing and reaping? I mean a good case of vengeance is much better than a little comeuppance.
✰ Lucky …. well, Lucky is a female character that is anything but Lucky. What an oxymoron that name is when it comes to Lucky. But please give her a chance. She’ll grow on you. It won’t take too many chapters that you’ll be loving her and all her protective self-talk. If you think a woman scorned is bad, wait till you see how a woman who has lost everything reacts.
✰Tex … you know what they say: don’t mess with Texas. Ummmm, they are in Texas and it probably would be smart to not mess with Tex either. He might not look rough and tough but he sure knows how to hold his own. His heart is filled with loss and heartache too.
✰ Seige … love him or hate him, his character is strong.
✰ Dramatic and Emotional …. add in some good angst and anger and you’ve hit the bullseye
✰ Payback …. and then some, but lives are on the line
✰ How about Streetsmarts …. well maybe survival of the fittest is the best way to describe it… along with a lot of ‘Lucky’ moments. She has the skill, she has the desire, and she’s out to avenge her family.
✰ And…… What about Tony????? I’m thinking there’s more to him than meets the eye. We got a few clues that made us wonder and question. I’m guessing time will tell.
Sooooo maybe, just maybe, a little revenge and a little payback alongside a little vengeance, is just what the doctor ordered. The Reaper’s Spawn is all this and much more. Don’t think you’ll regret reading it and don’t be surprised if you just keep turning the pages.

Meh
It was ok. Found myself wanting it to just be over with vs actually enjoying it. I feel like the fmc was whiney and annoying honestly. Like you can be an independent stong female but also need help. The fact that she wants to do everything and then gets mad when someone helps her is annoying. Let someone save you every now and then honey. Shes so stubborn. She wants to do stuff on her own, but in return complains when they leave her. The Mmc is ok. Nothing to wrong. I dont know. It just reads wrong to me. Ive read many more mafia stories than this that are better. It dosnt even feel like a mafia story. Shes running round telling everyone what she wants to do and who her family is that if i ran the mafia I wouldnt let her in. Also facts are repeated multiple times in the story. For example, she says multiple times she took an acting class when trying too con people. Or multiple times she says the innocent look works. They go back and rehash the same conversation over and over. Its too much. And almost everything is explained in extream detail to the point that its boreing and mundaine to read. “I asked for coffee. I got the coffee. I sat down. I traded clothes. I asked for a ride. I got a ride.” Its very blah. Along with many grammer errors. Ruthless and Ivory by MujerN on FF.net, is a great example of a dark/crime romance. I dont think I will continue with this one.

Noah and Raven are sizzling together! These two write a a searing story. It will engage you and then turn to wallop you. This was such a great start to a new series! This story is formidable and offers us an outlet that we can delve right into! Lucky and Tex are entwined with tragedy. It only makes sense that they are both trying to achieve the same goal and want answers. It gives insight into the way this series will go but leaves it up to the reader to decipher. It begins with a pace that tells a backstory and then flies into the present that will absorb the reader into this series and will be set upon my to reread shelf. Very good writing. it secures a place that this is one series you will not be able to put down once you start it. I cannot wait until the next book comes out.

Revenge brings them together but will they get it and get out alive
Reaper's Spawn is the first book in the Tribal Dogs MC series by Noah Maddix and Raven Scott. The story is about Lucky and Tex. These two are tied together by tragedies and decide to join together to double their efforts in finding those responsible.
This first book in the series definitely starts it with a bang and keeps up a fast pace to the end. There is action, danger, mystery, suspense, sorrow, vengeance, tragedy and along the way some romance. The story is nicely written with well developed characters. There were a few times where I sort of drifted off while reading but for the majority of the book I was engaged and fascinated to find out what was going to happen next.

While this is the first book in this series about the Tribal Dogs MC there is actually a prequel called Reaper's Loss that I recommend that you read. This is where Tex and Lucky first meet and sets the scene for this first book in series
Tex, Lucky and Siege are hot on the trail of the group that wiped out the MC and also killed all of Lucky's family There attraction is mutual but they will have to get their revenge before they can think of starting a life together Be prepared for a wild ride with plenty of suspense angst and drama You will be sucked into this world and once you start it you won't want to put this book down until you turn that last page Can't wait for Reap[er's Ride the next installment int his wonderful read

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. What happens when mutual revenge turns into mutual attraction? Tex will avenge the MC no matter what. Lucky is destined to cross his path with her own thoughts of hatred. These two will have to accomplish their goal before they can even think of a future. This book is full of danger, suspense, drama, loss, lust and finally love. The characters along with the storyline are really well written. I look forward to the next book in the series

What an intriguing story-line. Both Tex and Lucky have lost everyone they loved and they are out for revenge. When they meet each other there is distrust but also a sizzling attraction. They decide to team up to achieve their goal. This book is superbly written packed with intense action, suspense, passion, violence drama and of course love. The story had me enthralled from the beginning and held my attention until the end. Reaper’s Spawn will provide you with hours of enjoyment. Complex characters. Captivating plot. A definite must read. I look forward to the 2nd chapter in this exciting series.

This is a mafia romance and MC romance all rolled into one. Lucky is living with her Aunt, Uncle and cousin when they are murdered in their home. The MC that Tex belongs to is slaughtered while he is out on a run. They may have been killed by the same group so after running into each other several times they decide to join their efforts to hunt down the killers. An action packed book where Lucky and Tex eventually hook-up. A fun read that keeps the reader engaged. It is not a standalone and the story continues with book 2.

This is a great new series. We have Tex who is a biker without a club, and then we have Lucky who is a mafia princess without a family. Tex is out for revenge and has a plan. The plan and revenge might just get them killed. I love Raven Scott and Noah Maddix is also wonderful, they way they write and the imagery they put forth is amazing. The story line is imaginative and flows really well. They have a way with characters. This book had a little of everything, action, suspense, romance, and secrets. This is a must read.

Really good book. Easy to read and plenty of action that will keep you wanting to read more. I loved one of the main characters named Tex. Seemed sweet right from the start. I had a hard time liking Lucky at first but by the 5th chapter you can't help but root for her. The messes that they get into are another aspect that I enjoyed. This book starts out slow but it kept my attention all the way through and kept me not wanting to put it down. There is a lot of drama, suspense, revenge...lots of things that makes a MC story a great read. Tex and his MC are looking for who attacked the MC meets Lucky who is anything but lucky...they are both looking for revenge and decide to work together. Soon their attraction to one another grows and their chemistry is great. Loved this book.

Noah Maddix and Raven Scott have delivered a great story that has everything I love. Lots of drama, passion and twists that will hold you captive from the very beginning. A great collaboration between these two authors who have truly delivered a wonderful read and story line. Loved Tex and Lucky together and I only hope there will be more of them in future books to come. An awesome way to start a new series.

She refuses to allow anyone close, he isn't the typical MC member. Both want revenge. Will she allow him close? Will they be able to track down the person responsible for loosing both of their families?
Have to say this book took a different turn than I thought and I can't wait to see what the next one has. I did think at times her back and forth was a pain, BUT understood where she was coming from and that she was struggling with loosing those she cared about. I loved how he was determined to be there for her even when she pushed him away. Good read!

This story was well written as always.it started slowly but was gripping and held my attention throughout. The story shows us a developing relationship with Lucky a and Tex with a hint of maybe a sub plot with Carla and Siege. I am hoping, without giving too much away that there will be a follow up. A worthy read.

Pure action, with some steamy romance. Gritty, exciting, and lives are on the line the entire time.
Lucky and Tex have each lost all or most of their family. Each were killed by the same group. When their paths keep crossing, they end up working together, for the time being at least. You will be on the edge of seat until the final page. Can’t wait for more in this series!!

This was a good start to a new series by Noah Maddix. There was a lot of drama, action, and suspense. Lots of thrills and spills. Tex and Lucky have so much sadness in their lives that they are good for each other. I was happy to see how Siege turned into a different personality in the end. I think this is going to be a very intriguing series. I received a complimentary pre-release copy of this book from BookSprout and this is my unbiased review.

Tex is searching for the person who massacred the Tribal Dogs MC and Lucky is a mafia princess looking for the person who killed her family. This is book one of the Tribal Dogs MC series and the story held my attention from beginning to end. This action packed story is filled with mystery, suspense, drama, and characters with intense chemistry. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

LOVE IN A VIOLENT WORLD
This story had no real sex scenes but it was full of action, violence, intrigue and mystery. It is a love story sorta but it is kinda more about the characters individual feelings for each other. There were several places the thoughts of the character were maybe confusing or rambling. The story as a whole was actually pretty good, but the ending is kinda left up in the air... maybe after 2 or 4 months they might get a happy ever after.

Grief brought them together, getting revenge was their plan, but other have another idea. Well written with a nicely paced story that's engaging and keeps you on your toes. Action, suspense, desires, revenge love and loss, this is a great start to the series ahead.

Can they work together or will the attraction growing between them cause problems? Fast-paced read with lots of drama and suspense. Intense chemistry and action packed. I really liked it.

Good book
You still don't get an HEA or all the answers and the author leaves you with a lot of questions and wanting more. Plenty of action and twists and turns well worth your time to read.

I 'really enjoyed this story. I think this is already planned and I've already sort of culture it out! Well written and interesting. I am glad I get to figure this story other book to see what happens next.
