What a story. Foorints hold secrets and Captains Olsen and James need to find out what’s happening. Lots of action to keep you intrigued from the beginning. If possible, even better than the last book.

In this episode, Captains Olson and James and their crews receive an anonymous message that Capstan III, habituated by smugglers, drug dealers and flesh peddlers, under Foorint guard, might be a good place to look for the second spatial disruptor, which had so far eluded their search. A possible informant led the small landing party into a trap, from which the crew barely escaped, but the local Foorint forces attacked the main ships, forcing the group to FTL-warp out, sending them to the mining planet Soori, which housed a Foorint colony. Rumors circulated that a monster had gobbled up their moon, with the inhabitants fearing for their lives. However, first scans showed the place was nearly deserted. Was this another trap?

Of course, it was!! This time, one of the superweapons was a mass cloaking device, hiding an overwhelming number of Foorint ships, and the Tauian overseer, Inck, who got to shape the battles, even including the human High Command, who were under Tauian mind control. How do our heroes dodge annihilation this time? There is plenty of action to go around and it kept me on the edge of my seat, turning pages. I read for escape and entertainment – this was an easy read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I look forward to reading the entire series. I received an ARC – this review is my honest opinion. I bought a copy when the book was released to support this great writer.

Received as an ARC copy, this is an honest review. With another spatial disruptor out there, Captains' Olsen and James need to move quickly to find it... and this time the Foorints hold the secrets that both crews need to accomplish their new mission. It leads them to the mysterious jungle world called Soori, an unknown alien monster and a bizarre ritual to keep the creature from destroying their world. But something is wrong amongst the villagers... suggesting their alien puppet master adversaries are behind the weird Foorint behavior. Keeping the universe is a never-ending journey... and this story delivers the most powerful battles yet, highly recommended.

Captains Olson and James and their crews are back for another adventure as they hunt for another spatial disruptor. Of course their hunt is not straight forward and thus begins a wild adventure full of action, intrigue, danger, unknowns, a massive crazy looking ship, and new friend and some enemies. It was a fun read and kept me glued to the end to see what would happen next and what would be discovered next. And had to see how the crews would escape capture and danger this time around. Just a great story in this series. I honestly loved it for is action and twists.

Daniel sometimes writes alone and it is easy to see the difference between him and Joshua.
This book is a great read that keeps you up night knowing you really need to turn off the light but it is hard to do. Conspiracy is a good solid read. Plot characters are easy to know.
