Trident Security Series: A Special Collection: Volume IV

Rate this book
**Volumes 1-6 include the books from the original Trident Security series and its multiple spinoffs in the best reading order. Contain elements of BDSM.

Mountain of Evil: A TS Omega Team Prequel

Between new clients and governmental contracts, Trident Security has grown by leaps and bounds. To accommodate the increased caseload, they've added a second team to their Tampa headquarters. After hiring seven "best of the best" from military and law enforcement backgrounds, they've put together a crackerjack group of six men and one woman. But before they're turned out to handle their own missions, they must first prove they are a cohesive and capable unit.

Dropped into the Rocky Mountains, the Omega team has minimal supplies and only two days to make it back to civilization, but what they find in the wilderness turns the training op into a real one. Will they all make it back alive?

A Dead Man's Pulse: TS Omega Team #1

Marine First Sergeant Logan "Cowboy" Reese was rescued hours before he would've met the same fate as his five murdered teammates in Afghanistan. Returning to the US and civilian life hadn't been part of his plans at this stage of his career, but dealing with PTSD forced his hand. However, an unexpected job offer with Trident Security, a private firm in Tampa, has him finding a purpose in life again, but will his flashbacks destroy a promising future altogether?

Officer Dakota Swift has worked hard to prove she belongs on Tampa PD with the big boys and has been trying to get assigned to the Special Operations Division. A local, serial killer, targeting submissives in the BDSM lifestyle, gives her the opportunity to get her feet wet in undercover work. She's assigned to the joint task force between TPD, the FBI, and Trident Security, but can she survive her attraction to her new partner, Logan?

The operatives of Trident Security have a keen interest of catching the "Kink Killer" as the heads of the company also own a BDSM club, The Covenant. Until his identity is discovered, no woman in the lifestyle community is safe. With the body count rising, will the killer be caught before someone from The Covenant becomes the next victim?

Salvaging His Soul: TS #11

Think you know everything about the Sexy Six-Pack? Think again. This is the story fans will never see coming. Jaws will drop and hearts will pound because nothing is as it seems.

Jase Atwood is a man with a forgotten past and an unsure future. Living on the island of Caicos, he spends his time sitting in a bar drinking, scuba diving for sunken treasure, and working as a mercenary of sorts.

Brie Hanson has lived on Caicos since she was ten. After her father’s death, she took over Daddy-O's, his bar/restaurant popular with tourists and locals alike. Her three-month relationship with Jase has been just for sex—no dates, no getting involved in each other’s lives, and no letting their emotions rise to the surface.

However, when her sister, Nadine, disappears, Brie's lover steps in to help find the missing woman. Unbeknownst to either of them, Jase’s past and present are about to collide. Will it destroy their future, or will it save more than just Nadine’s life?

Entertaining Distraction: Doms of The Covenant #2

The last woman Mike Donovan ever expected to be attracted to is one who wants to dominate him.

While his brother is in the BDSM lifestyle, Mike never understood it. But when Charlotte Roth, aka Mistress China, sets her sights on him, he finds himself wanting to obey her every command.

Having her childhood ripped away in the blink of an eye, Charlotte has kept the different facets of her adult life separate from the others. A parole officer, a homebody, and a Domme are the three personae the rest of the world might see, but rarely at the same time. However, her attraction to Mike merges them in a way she never thought possible.

Can each learn to compromise in order to make a relationship between them work?

Mountain of Evill Summary:
The Omega team is dropped off in the woods if Colorado to survive together and learn to work better as a team. But during their training mission, they learn of a lost hiker, Mallory.

Mallory had been kidnapped by 4 men while she was hiking and taking pictures. But using the survival skills her dad, who's an ex Marine, taught her, she is able to get away and happens to be found by the Omega team.

The team helps capture/kill her kidnappers and get her home safely.

Review:

No much spice in this one other than a flashback for one of the Omega team members and a scene from Angie and Ian.

Still a good set up story though for the Omega team, whom I assume the next books will be about.

A Dead Man's Pulse Summary:
Logan Reese aka Cowboy was a POW (prisoner of war). He watched/heard 5 of this teammates get whipped with a bullwhip and then have their heads chopped off. Devon and Ian decided to take a chance on him and bring him on to their Omega team at Trident Security. Logan didn’t say yes at first, but while he was visiting his friends graves, a young boy named Charlie asked him if he was a hero. Logan proceeded to say that he would be someday.

Dakota is a Tampa police officer. She’s also a long time submissive. She’s been trying to become a part of the undercover operations for a long time now, and she’s finally getting her chance. Dakota is going to help catch the Kink Killer.

Dakota and Logan get paired up as a Dom/sub pairing to go undercover to help find the KK. Little do they know that they’re actually make a good pairing and fall in love with each other.

The Kink Killer goes after Dakota when he thinks Logan is leaving her place for the night. Little does he know that Logan is actually just getting food and would be right back. Logan kills the Kink Killer but one of his bullets goes through the tango and into Dakota. Thankfully Dakota survives.

The Kink Killer ended up being Master Dennis from the Covenant. He was the bartender for many years. They don’t know what made him snap.

At the end of the book, we see Logan showing Dakota his friends graves. They also meet up with Charlie, who Logan had been keeping in touch with via email, and when Charlie asked if Logan is a hero now, Dakota says he is.

Review:
another nice spicy story. I’m glad we finally know the answer to who the Kink Killer is.

Salvaging His Soul Summary:

I stopped at this part. Just wasn't into the stories anymore. Might come back to finish this book and the next.

I don’t believe in explaining the plots to books in my reviews as you have the synopsis and a ton of other reviewers to do that for you. I always like to know honest feedback on books I am considering reading. You will just find my honest opinions below and no spoilers.

Mountain of Evil
This story was more about explaining who was on the Omega Team than any steamy scenes. It was an interesting story about how they step in during a training to help a missing hiker. I get that it was a good way to get to know the characters, but it was missing some of the naughtiness of the other books. A bit was thrown in about Ian and Angel who are married and expecting, but not much.

A Dead Man’s Pulse
This is Logan’s story and while I found it compelling and was glad to see the Kink Killer storyline wrapped up finally, it had a lot of repetitive language in it that I found frustrating. I understand adding suspense by giving another person’s perspective, but it just didn’t work for me in this story.

I liked meeting Dakota and I am glad that her and Logan made a match, but overall, I was disappointed in this one. There were some touching moments and yes, the Kink Killer got resolved…thank goodness, but it just left me feeling blah when I think it was trying to be touching.

Salvaging His Soul
Okay this one got me. I was so surprised when I learned…well let’s just say when I learned more about Jase. This was a great way to get away from the compound and add to the story. I was happy to read this story after being disappointed in the previous one (A Dead Man’s Pulse). Definitely one of the better books of the series.

Entertaining Distraction
Finally got to learn more about Charlotte and it was a bonus to find out more about Mike Donovan. It did feel fast-paced to me, but I liked seeing the scenes with the female as the dominate.

I am enjoying the series. I have learned to just skip over the re-explaining of who everyone is and how they know each other.

Each of these stories were wonderful. Mountain of Evil is a prequel to a spin off series and lets us meet some of the characters we'll see in future stories. A Dead Man's Pulse...........man, this one sucker punched me in the gut. Very emotional and well written. Salvaging His Soul............won't say too much about this but there is a HUGE twist that none of us saw coming!!! It was epic and I absolutely LOVED Ian's reaction to the twist!! LOL And finally, Entertaining Distraction. I always wanted Mistress Charlotte to get a story and now we get her and her male submissive's story. You'll have to get the book to see who it is! ;) Loved this collection!!!

Another fantastic collection!

I have really enjoyed all of the different series involved with the Trident Security series, and even more that most of them are included in this collection! I would highly recommend that you follow the reading order listed by the author. It will give you a better understanding of the characters, the different groups, family and friends, as well as the dynamics between all of them. They're all absolutely fantastic stories, and you definitely won't be disappointed.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

I had the stories at different times and did reviews. It is so good that it seems that they find their soulmate and be happy with everything that goes on with their life and jobs
