God,what a waste of time. I kept thinking that it would get better, but I hated this. Did not care one bit about anyone in this book, and they're real people who have terrible things happen to them. Some might find the writing style "lyrical", or something in that vein. I just found it intensely annoying.

Derobade in francese significa evasione, fuga, latitanza o può anche voler dire voltafaccia, ma come assonanza all' italiano io gli darei il significato di derubata, perché in effetti Marie, o Sophie viene derubata della propria innocenza, dignità, identità e soprattutto del proprio corpo.
È un autobiografia dal sapore amaro, e il linguaggio e i toni sono molto volgari e forti. Questo libro è stato per me disturbante, un vero pugno allo stomaco, in certe parti mi ha trasmesso dei trigger sgradevoli, trasmesso delle emozioni molto negative e spiacevoli, riportandomi a delle situazioni vissute di recente che non avrei voluto rivivere o rivedere attraverso la lettura, e questo mi ha portato costantemente a interrompere la lettura. Diciamo che, non si parla solo di prostituzione, ma soprattutto di abuso, di molestia, di come certi uomini abbiano una visione riduttiva della donna, collocandola a mero oggetto sessuale , e di come questo sia deleterio e porti la donna ai margini della società. Tuttavia, ci sono state tante parti incomprensibili, sgradevoli e noiose da leggere, secondo me concepito male, scritto di getto, e su molti punti senza capo né coda. È un libro con alti e bassi, nel complesso piaciuto, ma ho veramente faticato a terminarlo e apprezzarlo a pieno delle sue possibilità, perché l' inizio appare molto più incisivo, introspettivo e interessante, ma più avanti si divaga, si perde e sembra che abbia esaurito tutte le idee, o che comunque l' autrice non sappia più esprimere con chiarezza ciò che intendesse raccontare.
