Stuck in a snowstorm with a sexy dad. Where's the downside?
Josh Ainsley is one of those teachers who goes above and beyond. When he agrees to deliver a day’s worth of homework to a student’s house, it’s not exactly out of character or out of his way. So what if the student’s father is a hottie? Operation homework drop turns into a rescue mission when he gets caught in a snowstorm and subsequently snowed in with one sexy dad. Who says good deeds go unrewarded?
Living in Southwest Michigan, April resides with her husband and two kids. She has been an avid reader for several years. Writing her first story at the age of ten, the characters in her head still won't stop telling their stories. If April isn't reading or writing she can be found outside playing with the animals or taking a long walk in the woods.

Got to 58% Big case of 'it's not you it's me', characters seem appealing, simple set up, writing is good... but I can't click to it and don't really know why; perhaps the bit about Lenn goes deeper than I've the headspace for today. Will likely return to finish this, just not today.
I love the Wingspan series by this author. The books are funny, sweet, and they always leave me with a happy feeling at the end. So I thought I'd give this book a try.
It turned out to be really disappointing. Too much time was spent at the school, driving in the snow, and talking about past loves, etc. Just when it starts to pick up the story ends. It's like a cliffhanger and there is no epilogue so you have no clue if they ever even went on a first date or had a HEA. It's like the book stopped before it ever really started. Just a big disappointment overall.
This needed to be so much longer. I love the setup, love Max and Josh, love the potential. But there is a whole lot of behind the scenes stuff going on. Why is Josh not sure he can take in the emotional burden of unpacking Max’s maybe baggage? What has Max been doing since his husband died and why did he and his son come to this town? Where is this tentative start to a relationship they have going? I want to hear about their first date!
I suppose it’s not the worst criticism that the author has given us one lick of the snow cone and left me needing more.
A gentle short story that has a favourite trope of mine, getting stranded because of a snow storm. Either stranded in a hotel and there's only one room left, or going off the road in a snow storm and there's only a cabin with a hunky man, love it all. This was Josh trapped at his pupils house where the very sexy widowed father takes an instant liking, the first time anyone has stirred Max's heart since the death of his husband. A short but touching story.
Winter Wonderland download. Short story with sweet characters. Teacher Josh and widower Max connect in a snowstorm. Kelley sets the midwest scene with winds and drifts, middle school and cabin home. Being so brief, she uses the story length well by not cluttering the plot with extras. Truly a warm and loving read.
An M+M romance which is about two lonely men getting together. Max is a single father whose husband died 3 years ago. Josh is a middle school teacher. When a blizzard sees then stuck together it’s the eight year old who tells them to get on with it.
More focus on the storm and driving than on the people. Furthermore, rather than seeing them get to know each other we are given one snippet of a scene and a very brief conversation then it's done. SMH... not sure if this is meant to be a teaser for an upcoming book or what but it's certainly not a full story.
This is a seriously short story and it felt like it ended pretty abruptly. There’s a storm, Josh gets trapped in it on the way to drop off a student’s work. Student’s dad, Max, rescues Josh and brings him to his house, where they both say they’re interested in going on a date and “getting to know each other.” Then they kiss. That’s it. Sorry, but that’s not enough of a story for me.
Cute short! I liked Josh and Max. I love stories where the characters get snowbound. It's a great setup. I liked that there was instant attraction and actual discussions between the MCs and between Max and his son.
Some books I wish were as fast as this one but I wanted more from this book. I dug into this book and I want more, just to see how Josh and Max work out. I hope there is more.
A highly enjoyable tale with a sweet man and a protective guy who can’t help but to take him into his arms, even if they’re worried it’s crossing a line.
Winter Storm is available as part of the Winter Giveaway on Prolific Works for a short period of time and it was a sweet and touching novella. Joshua is a teacher who agrees to deliver a student's homework assignment to his house. His father is a hottie and both men are attracted to the other. Operation Homework Drop becomes a rescue mission by his student's father when Joshua gets stuck in a snowstorm. This ends in a HFN with the possibility of a HEA in the future for both men :)
It's the start of a new relationship. It's about a teacher and the father of a student. There is a spark of attraction between them and that's being told in this story.
