"Will you do me the greatest honor of all time and be my bridegroom?” she asks, hope in her eyes . . .
How did I get here? My assistant, bent on one knee, holding my hand, her expectant face waiting for an answer.
Just . . . how?
How did I go from being insulted by Charlee Cox to hiring her to be my assistant? How is it that she’s chaos in color - making me crazy and my life better at the same time?
I never thought I would be staring down at her bright blue eyes begging me to go along with this ridiculous scheme I suggested.
Yes, I suggested. Like the idiot I am, I thought hey, why not start an HR nightmare and have my assistant ask me to marry her?
Confused? Don’t worry, so am I.
But try to follow along, because this is how I became Boss Man Bridegroom.

When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven't turned back since.
You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.
I currently reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where the sun is always shining and there is a trail waiting to be hiked on every corner. I share a lovely and warm home with the love of my life and my five, four-legged children.

”Thanks for uh, putting your leg on loan. You know how people say lend me a hand, well, I guess thanks for lending me a leg. Must have been weird huh, me humping it? Yeah, that’s really weird. Never thought I would actually hump my boss’s leg, but I guess never say never, right?”
This is why I love Meghan Quinn so much! Nobody writes rom-com like this author!! ”BOSS MAN BRIDEGROOM” is not your typical office romance between a CEO and his EA. It is, hands down, one of the funniest books I’ve read in quite some time. My stomach actually hurts from how much I laughed while reading this one. The David Hasselhoff sexy dream is going up there as one of the most cringeworthy and outrageously hilarious scenes in a book that will be forever etched in my memory. Meghan Quinn made the office romance trope her ”bitch”. Rath and Charlee are truly unforgettable characters and quite impossible not to fall in love with. Their story is silly, scorchingly hot, and twists your stomach up in knots with the author’s signature angst. This is a book that is not to be missed and I guarantee you that if you’re having a horrible day, it’s going to pull you right out of that slump.
This book was so much fun from beginning to end. I hope everyone enjoys it almost as much as I have! Charlee is a delightful and endearingly weird heroine who you can’t help but love and root for. Rath has proven himself to be one hell of a swoon-worthy hero. His bromance with Bram and his secret love for Historical Romances skyrocketed his appeal. Get ready to fall head over heels in love with this amazing book!!

Romantic Comedy | Office Romance | Marriage of Convenience
Incredibly fun and absolutely HILARIOUS! I laughed the whole way through and I’m not exaggerating at all! Meghan Quinn knows what her readers want and always delivers. From devastating breakups to insanely romantic makeups Meghan Quinn SLAYS it. Again, and again, and again. There’s really no wonder why she’s one of my top 3 favorite authors of all time! Her books are magical!
Boss Man Bridegroom is a unique mix of an office romance and marriage of convenience. This is a story about getting over broken hearts, finding love in the most unexpected ways, and letting your freak flag fly! Meghan Quinn writes the best quirky characters and Charlee is one of my favorite heroines EVER! I love her zest and outlook on life and the way she projects herself on her grumpy boss, Rath. The comedy? Top notch! As I mentioned above, I laughed the whole way though. I simply couldn’t get enough and didn’t want it to end. Even though I flew through this book because of how invested I was in Charlee and Rath’s unconventional love story, I wished there was MORE. Not because the story isn’t perfect the way it is but because I simply loved their story HARD. It’s just so GOOD.
If you haven’t read a Meghan Quinn book you need to rectify that immediately! She’s such a talented author and each and every book she writes are easily top favorites of mine. This one in particular is going down to be one of my top 3 favorites of hers. Seriously!
Now, Boss Man Bride Groom IS a standalone but characters from two other books do make appearances here. You can choose to read this prior to this one (if you haven’t already) or not. It doesn’t matter either way, but you may see a few small spoilers from the other relationships here. I’ll list the books below.
PS: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK
Want more? Here are the other two that are interconnected with this one (again, you don’t have to read them before this one, but I recommend them regardless):
Getting fake engaged to your hot, alpha male, billionaire boss can't be the worst idea, right?
Wrong. It's a very bad idea, very bad indeed. But it felt like a solution to all of my problems, and he was the one who offered up the "scheme." I was just the one who got down on one knee.
✔️HOT billionaire ✔️ Marriage of convenience ✔️ Slow Burn with an EXTREMELY smoldering end ✔️ Office romance with all the ALPHA swoon ✔️ Romantic Comedy that will melt your heart
A fake wedding with her hot billionaire boss can't be such a bad idea, can it? 💍 Wrong, that's a really bad idea. 😂 At start it felt like a perfect solution for all of Charlee's problems, so she got down on one knee and asked Rath, her boss, to merry her... Then everything got complicated! 💥💙
Megan Quinn is my queen of my romantic comedies - this book was so much fun from start to finish!!! It's a romantic comedy that melted my heart and made me laugh at the same time, about two people who overcome a broken heart and find love! 👑😍💍
However, what bothered me was that Rath's character was lacking depth (Megan tried to change that with his philanthropic work, but it didn't work that well for me). In addition, towards the end, there was an unnecessary drama, but it didn't stop me from enjoying it! 😍
This was the funniest books I've read lately... My stomach really hurt from laughter! The Bromance between Rath and Bram (from the book: The secret to dating your best friend's sister) It was one of the most awesome things about this book - but the climax was the sexy dream about David Hasselhoff. I literately DIED. 😂😂😂
this book has everything a Rom-Com needs: a humorous plot, crazy characters, unexpected twists and excellent writing! 💪
This book can be read as a standalone, but it has characters from two other books that I totally recommend reading as well: - The secret to dating your best friend's sister: https://amzn.to/3aocxqf - Bad Boy Diary: https://amzn.to/2NCFMw6
Boss Man Bridegroom by Meghan Quinn was pure entertainment! There wasn't a moment I didn't laugh and giggle. This series is so much fun and a must read!!
Rath Westin was first introduced in book 1, The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend's Sister. His bromance with Bram Scott especially was EPIC! Rath had a relationship with his previous assistant which ended with him heartbroken. Now he's brooding and intense. He hires Charlee because of her ballsy, headstrong attitude. He soon realizes he doesn't know what he got himself into with her. She keeps him on his toes. But he can't help but find her beautiful, smart, and funny... Though a bit annoying.
Charlee is wildly inappropriate in the best ways possible. Quirky. Colorful. She shines bright like the sun and has no filter what-so-ever which I absolutely loved!! Bubbly, energetic, always organized, and ready to work. She's a chatterbox and doesn't shut up, which really irritates Rath at first.
Rath tries so hard to fight the undeniable attraction he feels towards Charlee. The lines soon begin to blur. It's Rath's idea to get married to fulfill Charlee's grandma's dream of seeing her walk down the aisle. With time, their feelings for one another grow. It's no longer a fake engagement but so much more.
This is one of my favorite series by Meghan. This is a standalone series but in all honesty you should read book 1 and so forth. You get to meet each of the characters and fall in love with them with each book. Boss Man Bridegroom was witty, sexy, sweet, and filled with so much tension and feels! I couldn't get enough!! Meghan's brilliance shines through with each passage. It's such fun reading her stories!

Overall Opinion: This came recommended to me and I'm glad I read it. There was one scene whe I was laughing so hard my husband got rather frustrated with me for not being in on the joke (David Hasslehoff). The h was crazy in a good way, the grandma was her pea in a pod, and I liked Linus too. I, however, never really related to the H. I felt like something was missing with him and he was rather dull. I enjoyed this, but it was pretty much surface level fun -- nothing too deep, but on the other hand was just right for lightening my spirits after some not so great reads...
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Charlee and Rath's story. Charlee is Rath's new executive assistant after Rath lost his last reliable one in a failed relationship that left him with a broken heart. He has sworn to himself to never mix business with pleasure again, but Charlee quickly knocks down all his defenses. There is a wacky grandma causing drama, some sexy times, and some laugh out loud moments...and they get a HEA.
Point Of View (POV): This alternated between Charlee and Rath's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Good. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well.
Instalove: Kind of. They move pretty quickly with not much other than lust to back it up.
H (Hero) rating: 3 stars. Rath. Meh. I though he was alright.
h (heroine) rating: 4 stars. Charlee. I liked her. She was pretty crazy! She was bubbly and pretty funny.
Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed
Push/Pull: Yes
Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.
Descriptive sex: Yes
OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes
Sex scene with OW or OM: No
Cheating: No
Separation: Yes
Possible Triggers: Not really
Closure: This had a cute epilogue but not nearly enough closure for me. I would still call this a HEA ending though
Safety: This one should be Safe for most safety gang readers
This book....this book...GAH...every time I finish a Meghan Quinn book I think 'this was it, this was the ONE', but I'm telling you --NO--THIS was THE ONE! Any book that can make me smile, laugh, shake my head at the outrageousness of the character ( Charlee), swipe the (kindle) pages fast to see what happens next, hang on every thought the H/h have about each other (and beg them to just tell them, because you're on the same page and don't even know it)....where was I? Did I mention tears?
Ok. I want to read this book again and again. I want to see it made into a movie (but please don't ruin it with the wrong cast). I fell in love with these characters, and you know how I know? They made me feeeeel soooo much. I was in tears 😢 near the end when the inevitable happened. It killed me to see Charlee hurt. It killed me to see Rath devastated. It made me cry my eyes out reading his emails to Charlee....I'm feeling miserable now just thinking about it.😪
Please please please, if you've never experienced a Meghan Quinn book, do so now. It doesn't have to be this one (pick this one), because she has plenty of fantastic series. I have never read a bad one. There are only a handful of authors I can say that about. No one balances laughter, tears/heartache, and really, really hot sex better than this author. She is my kindle crack, my kryptonite...my new Rom/com obsession.
It's exactly 2.5 stars for me, as I precisely liked only the first half of the novel.
The first half is literally too funny, cute with sarcastic scenes and smart dialogues.
In the second half, it becomes that typical fake dating your boss that's filled with lust. Nothing wrong about that but I believe they needed to spend more time to build their connection.
Meghan Quinn has written some of my all-time favorite book boyfriends and RATH just got added to that list
Boss Man Bridegroom is laugh out loud funny and oh so sweet! This story is the perfect combination of funny, sexy, and sweet! The heroine made me howl with laughter and the hero made my swoon all the swoons! I absolutely love everything this author writes!
Here’s what I loved: RATH and Charlee stole my heart completely. Her fun and quirky personality paired with structured plan was so much fun to witness. From the moment they met (which left me holding my side from laughing so hard) until the very end of the book, Charlee was absolutely everything! I honestly think that’s why this book resonated so much. I loved the heroine as much as the hero. Their chemistry was off the charts. I loved that Rath tried to resist and completely failed lolol The bromance in this one is epic. I loved his connection with his circle of friends. And equally with a Charlee and her gran. Both characters had enviable relationships with their friends and family.
Overall, this was definitely a win. If you’re looking for an amazing read, grab this one right now!
heroine behavior is utterly unprofessional I know that this is a fiction book but I actually need some semblance of realism, her behavior was a bit too much..but Grandma was annoying AF..
“This kiss was sweet, short, nothing that would blow anyone’s socks off…besides mine. Because even though it only lasts a few seconds, its within those seconds that I get my first taste of her. It’s where I get to feel myself tip over the edge into falling for this girl. I’ve had many first kisses. Aggressive, passionate, consuming, but nothing like this. Nothing this sweet, this….understanding. Nothing that has ever made me want to drop all my defenses and expose my true self to a woman. And that’s scary. Terrifying actually. Because if a kiss this simple can turn my world upside down, what’s going to happen when I feel her tongue against mine, when she kisses me longer, when I get to feel her delectable body against mine? Was Roark right? Am I screwed?”
“I was born with a piece of your soul inside me and I want to claim it. Right here, right now.”
2020 might have just started, but I’ve already got a book on my tops reads of 2020 list. Boss Man Bridegroom is intense, combustible and will leave you in stitches. Just spend a couple of minutes with this story and these characters and you’ll why I fell head over heels in love with this story!
Boss Man Bridegroom follows the story of Charlee & Rath. From the moment I dug into their story, I was utterly hooked. Charlee is quirky, lively and so unique. She is like sunshine on a cloudy day, the rainbow when you need it the most. And then you have Rath. Rath is the serious business man with a heart of gold. But, when he is around his friends, the real Rath breaks loose. The read Rath is hilarious, a total frat boy. These two couldn’t be more opposite, yet somehow, they just work. Their road to happily ever after is filled with hilarious antics, an outrageous personality, a meddling grandma and so much more. Boss Man Bridegroom is not only hilarious, but is filled with a lot of heart. If you’re a fan of romantic comedies, I promise you won’t want to miss Boss Man Bridegroom.
Boss Man Bridegroom took my heart on an intense roller coaster ride and gave me all the feels. Rath & Charlee were off the charts in every possible way. It was impossible to not fall in love with these characters right away. I loved how intense and quirky Charlee was. Yes, she had some insecurities, but for the most part, she just embraced who she was. And her grandma was a total riot. I loved her quirkiness as well and I loved her meddling ways. There is just something about meddling grandmas that gets me every single time. And Rath, man did I just love him. When he wasn’t be a jerk, he was utterly swoon worthy. He tried hard to stay away from Charlee, but let’s face it, that woman is a force to be reckoned with. And I absolutely loved the bromance between Rath and Bram. Those two men were ridiculous in the best possible way.
Together, Rath and Charlee were the ultimate couple. They were complete opposites, yet had so many similarities. Together, they were intense and combustible. I was left hanging on each interaction, dying to see just how their story would play out. And, I will tell you this, these two do not disappoint.
Boss Man Bridegroom is the perfect romantic comedy. It seriously was everything that I want and need from romance. Add in that it was funny, as well as an office place romance with a fake fiancee and this book was seriously everything!! It was romantic. It was funny. It was totally unforgettable. I laughed. I had tears in my eyes. And boy did I ever swoon. I seriously loved each and every second of this book and never wanted it to end.
Megan Quinn has totally knocked my socks off with this book!! It is definitely on my list of top reads for 2020 and I look forward to re-reading this book again.

“We need to keep things platonic.” “We are. Unless you’ve been making out with me without my knowledge.”
Boss Man Bridegroom was everything we were hoping for and more. We have been so intrigued by Rath since meeting him in The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister where we cried tears from laughing at his bromance with Bram Scott. This was followed by Diary of a Bad Boy where we fell even more in love with the enigmatic Rath and once again cried laughing from the hilarious carry-ons of Bram, Rath and Roark. This series is without question our favourite by Meghan Quinn. This series is GOLD!
“Either women want me for my money, or they want me for my dick. They don’t want me for my soul or my heart.”
So just who was going to bring Rath’s heart back to life? Well, it just couldn’t be anyone more perfect than Charlee Cox, or as she is affectionately known, Charlee bag-of-dicks. A kindred spirit; fun-loving, adorably eccentric, stationary hoarder and historic romance-loving reader. We fell in love the minute we met her. We’re not surprised that Rath was intensely intrigued and also slightly scared of her! Their banter was hilarious and comedy gold! Charlee quickly became one of our favourite female characters, she’s a tad over the top sure, but she’s real and comes out with the most hilarious lines that we bizarrely related to and found so endearing and funny.
‘Fuck, she’s adorable. Really fucking adorable. Her smile is infectious, her excitement thrilling…’
Rath had his heart broken and we knew when we started his book that it would take someone quite special for this man to finally open up and accept love again. He’s a formidable man with a heart of gold, a great sense of humour and wickedly passionate. Whilst he showed us two different personas they were really just two halves of the same man. And what a man!!! He really wasn’t prepared for Charlee or the impact she would have on his life.
‘He made me feel things I haven’t felt in a really long time, or maybe ever. He made me question my sanity every time he laughed, he made me swoon when he smiled, and when he was leaving, he made me feel like I couldn’t take another breath if he didn’t kiss me right then and there.’
‘That man, the considerate thoughtful man, is far too dangerous for my heart.’
We loved everything about Boss Man Bridegroom. So much laughter, so much swooning and the angst and emotion was easily blended in for more serious moments. Brilliantly written characters, Grandma Janice was just fabulous, and a great storyline, what’s not to love?! The icing on the cake though was once again the bromance and the fact that Rath, Bram and Roark started a historical romance book club on football night. Classic!
“You are undoubtedly the most vibrant person I know and that’s saying something because I’m pretty sure Bram shits rainbows.”
This series can be read as standalone’s, however, once again we urge you to pick all three books up because Meghan Quinn has proved once again that she really is the queen of romantic –HOT- comedy. Why do we love her romcom’s so much? Well, because this Author has no filter, there’s funny and then there’s ‘Meghan Quinn funny’. Meghan Quinn is an author who writes natural flawless humour with no social modesty. Just the way we love it! This is a series we can re-read over and over because we fell in love with every single character and their hilarious shenanigans. This series is a must-read and once you meet these characters you’ll know why!
“Who knew boss man bridegroom was going to be a good kisser?”
‘Who knew Charlee Bag of Dicks was going to sweep me off my goddamn feet with one simple kiss?’
Meghan Quinn has become one of my favourite go to authors for rom-com. I can always count of her to deliver the BEST rom-coms that are hilarious, heartfelt, romantic and so swoon worthy. Boss Man Bridegroom was such great fun!
Charlee is a character. She made me laugh out loud so many time, made me giggle with her fun, quirky personality. I couldn’t stop laughing when Charlee caught Rath reading the historical romance. Rath is just *sigh* 😍 Their chemistry is undeniably hot. No doubt about it.
Boss Man Bridegroom is what romantic comedy are made of. A must read!
First, a note : it's not made clear at all but this is the third book in a series of standalones about 3 best friends. I know this is subjective but I don't approach series the same and I would have wanted to know this so I could make an enlightened choice. I feel a bit cheated.
This book didn't work for me at all. Let's get the few positives out of the way first, before I explain what ruined it for me. First of all, the writing is fairly dynamic and dramatic. It feels high in colour. There is a point in the story where the author builds some decent UST, even though the underlying causes don't stand up to any scrutiny, and it doesn't last for long. The story is light and cheerful, apart from a few dramatic moments, and aims to be funny, even though it often misses the mark, at times it does manage to give this lighthearted, fun vibe.
Now for what took me out of the story, in no particular order.
There's a lot of telling, not showing when it comes to characters' feelings. The character will give us an unnecessary recap of the situation and then the feelings will be flatly described. It's not very dynamic and doesn't make this reader feel anything at all.
One of my major issues with the book is how everyone seems to have a complete and utter lack of boundaries. It felt like the book took place in an alternate universe where people discuss their sex lives, and the state of their genitals in graphic detail openly with their grandma, their friends and the friends' girlfriends, their boss... An example that made my jaw drop : Bram tells his male best friends and their girlfriends "it makes me laugh so hard my penis jiggles". The oversharing was constant and completely unbelievable. I just couldn't suspend disbelief that far. This is a contemporary romance, it's supposed to take place in our world. I can forgive minor inaccuracies, I can forgive details, or things that advance the plot satisfactorily enough. But this... it was just so jarring. I spent my whole time cringing, because if this had happened in front of me, I'd have been so taken aback. When basic human interactions don't function as they would for human beings, in a romance which is by nature centred around these interactions, it just can't work.
To be clear this isn't because things of a sexual nature shock me. It's just that there's a time and a place for them, and the realistic portrayal of these boundaries can make the moments when the characters gradually move beyond the boundaries to become closer, physically and emotionally, all the more powerful.
In terms of the workplace romance, it's so utterly unrealistic as to become meaningless. Charlee behaves with an attitude towards her boss from the very first day which is just absurd and would never fly for a second in a real life assistant. She is completely unprofessional. She takes a week off here and there with no forewarning whatsoever because she's sad about her grandma's health or because she had a fight with her boss/boyfriend. Look I know those feelings suck but they are definitely not a valid excuse to miss work here on this planet.
Charlee has no filter. She's an extreme example of manic pixie dream girl. She's also exhausting. She has moments of complete awkwardness, where she just word-vomits out the most mortifying TMI seemingly without being able to stop. I think she's meant to be funny and adorable and while it hits the mark a couple times, most of the time it misses by a mile and ends up being weird and terminally cringy.
It's weirdly manipulative of her to stay, pretend she didn't understand him and guilt him into keeping her when she knows very well he fired her. In general Charlee and her grandma have these strange moments of manipulation that are played off as fine because their intentions were good. It made me uncomfortable. It's like because they are supposed to be cute, it's ok that they are really manipulative behind the cuteness. Er, no.
Let's move on to Grandma. I hated Grandma, she was awful from beginning to end. We're told she's Charlee's best friend, despite there being no evidence to back this up. Grandma makes constant sexual comments about Rath and asks extremely intrusive questions about him and their sex life. It's seriously gross. An old man doing this would rightfully be considered disgusting and pervy. I don't get why it's ok to have an old woman leering at younger people. Now, in a twist so grotesquely obvious that it was practically telegraphed to us in flashing neon signs, of course Grandma is Which is such a stupid and hurtful move, I don't understand why on earth she did such a thing. Her granddaughter spends a week sobbing and Grandma doesn't even reconsider. What an awful person. Again, the book treats this horrible behaviour as ultimately justified and forgivable, and I'm just baffled because in my world that's not ok.
Bram is a comparatively minor character but he was so baffling I have to give him his own paragraph. The cringe factor is very high with this one too. I cannot imagine an adult man ever speaking the way he does. His bromance with Rath crosses over into the inappropriate, which is overemphasised by every character around them and played for laughs. I think it's supposed to be cute but it crosses into seeming far too real. They genuinely seem to love each other more than they love poor Julia, which in both cases is so wrong. She vanishes into the background whenever those two are together, it's unhealthy and unfair to her.
Rath and Charlee are both childish drama queens. They throw tantrums and pout over the stupidest things, and in general their drama seems so immature. I couldn't feel emotionally invested when I wanted to roll my eyes and shake them. It was high school levels of theatrics. If they'd just managed to have a couple of honest conversations, all the conflict would have melted away. This doesn't sustain an interesting story.
In fact really none of the conflict was convincing, the causes were flimsy and contrived. The characters just needed a small adjustment in their attitude and every conflict was solved easily. Similarly, the whole marriage of convenience business is shoehorned in to be able to claim the trope in the marketing for the book, but it's the most unconvincing reasoning for a mariage of convenience I've ever encountered. It was superficial and unnecessary. Marriage is not just the pretty moment of walking down the aisle. These two had no good reason to get married and it showed, it wasn't compelling at all.
Lastly this needed a round of professional editing. There are a lot of homophone mistakes, as well as phrases using the wrong word.
At the beginning, I saw these issues but they hadn't worn me down yet; the fun, lighthearted vibe was still giving me hope. But this is quite a long book and as it dragged on my hopes dwindled and I became very bored. In fact, I finally started playing Stardew Valley in earnest and made huge progress with my farm thanks to this book. When I was putting more thought into planning my crops and what upgrade to buy next, I knew this book was not going to get a very good grade from me.
I hate to be negative and I feel bad that I've basically shat all over this book. I always want to see the good in books and it's a learning process to allow myself to admit when I disliked a book. I am sure it will be better suited to some other people, but I have to be honest with myself and say what bothered me. And this book had too much wrong with it to be enjoyable, unfortunately.
ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
Oh my gosh! This book was so much fun! I was hooked! Rath and Charlee have an amazing connection, and the banter between the two of them was fantastic. I was literally laughing out loud at my kindle at times, I loved it so much.
Both our main characters have been hurt in the past, and are cautious about any new romantic relationships. Both have good reason, but I felt more connected to Charlee's. Maybe because that was explained a little bit more from the start.
There are some fabulous secondary characters as well, my favourites being Grandma and Linus.
I really enjoyed this one, but I don't want to give anything away, so I will just say that you need to go out and get this book! Highly recommend!
Meghan Quinn delivers another cute, flirty, sexy and lighthearted romance.
Rath Westn never expected to find THE perfect assistant when he ran into an overly excited about organization woman who asked him to take a picture under the Office Supply Con banner to commemorate the moment and then tried to kick him out of said convention because of his unruly attitude.
But after Charlee (bag of d!cks) Cox exceeded his expectations, made his life better, Rath has devised a plan Machiavellian plan to help her out with a family situation while getting closer to her. And that’s how Charlee got down on one knee and he became Boss Man Bridegroom. Yet, will his plan win him the girl he never thought he needed or will it blow up in his face?
Rath and Charlee’s meet cute had me in stiches right from the start. I was grateful to be alone and not drinking while reading how these two met and started their push-pull office relationship otherwise I would have ended up with a wet eReader and strange stares pointed my way from all the giggly laughter. I just loved Charlee’s exuberance and brightness, her dedication, joy and no filter honesty was such a breath of fresh air. I loved her so much that I felt disappointed with her unnecessary drama. But I’m getting ahead of myself.
Rath has a surly exterior but the reader is quickly put at ease when reading how much he cares about his friends and sister. It was so amusing watching him reluctantly accept all of Charlee’s color coded, organized chaos and slowly fall for his assistant. But there were lines he wouldn’t let himself cross and past hurts they both had to get over. Hence the marriage of convenience proposal which allowed them the freedom to become closer still until lack of communication hurled them into some unwanted speed bumps.
Besides these two charming characters, Quinn brings back Rath’s best friends from previous books and includes Charlee’s eccentric grandmother who is adorably zany. There were so many interactions I highlighted between all the characters. I just loved everything about this story (aforementioned drama excluded).
Boss Man Bridegroom is a standalone contemporary romance by Meghan Quinn. Told from both points of view with a happy ending.
My super quick review/recap: ➵ Cover: 5 ➵ Hero: 4.5 (Rath is so sexy, I fell for him when I saw how much he loved his sister and best friends) ➵ Heroine: 3.5 😳 (I loved her vibrant quirkiness until all the unnecessary drama ensued) ➵ Sexiness: 5 (the sexual tension between these two is off the charts) ➵ Feels: 5 (omg that grand gesture and declaration was absolutely swoon worthy) ➵ Plot/Pace: 4.5 (office romance, marriage of convenience) ➵ Overall rating: 4.5

I can't express how much I love this book..... This by far is a book, by an author that I just adore, that I do not think can ever be topped. Seriously it is the cherry on top of the sundae. I can't get enough of this author!!! Cant encourage you more to pick this one up!!!
Such a cute read! Rath and Charlee met at a convention where Charlee insulted him and left him hanging. Next thing you know Charlee was hired as Rath’s assistant. They could not be anymore opposite from each other. Charlee is super bubbly, quirky, and over the top with all her office shenanigans, where Rath is more serious and reserved CEO. All work and no fun 😊 But the longer they work alongside each other the more boss/assistant’s lines blurred so much so that Charlee proposed marriage to her boss 😊. What supposed to be marriage of convenience became so much more emotional and romantic. Of course, the gullible Rath messed up but he redeemed himself quite nicely at the end. This book is pure fun. I was giggling and swooning the whole time. Over all, Boss Man Bridegroom was a sweet, flirty, heartwarming, and lighthearted romance!
This is fun read. After not so good read, I am glad I found humor and laughter in Boss Man Bridegroom. As always Miss Quinn has this uncanny ability to make the end of the year seems optimist.
The story revolving around a grumpy but very sensitive boss with his sassy, free spirited assistant. Their banter is hilarious. The the bromance between Raff and his boys are just.. swooning. Just going to make this review short.
This book was everything. It was hilarious, sexy, sweet, and the characters, Rath and Charlee, has me reading with the biggest smile on my face and a heart that was full to the brim. Charlee is all the best parts of a quirky heroine her way of thinking is unlike anyone else. She literally brings joy and light wherever she goes. She is so much fun to read about. Rath was so sexy and I loved his confidence. He also showed vulnerability and was open. His bromance with Bram was ADORABLE. Utterly precious.
The plot had me laughing my tail off with my watery eyes glued to the screen. Seriously. Meghan Quinn was born to do romcom. Her writing is crisp and every scene is done with intention. This one is going on my favorites and I can’t wait for what she has in store for us next.
Complementary copy received and voluntarily reviewed.
Hands down one of the best romcoms I have ever read. Easily a five-star rating for Boss Man Bridegroom. Meghan Quinn has written penned another spectacular book that is an absolute must read. This book had me laughing like a loon with the antics between Rath & Charlee! The way they met, their working relationship...their unconventional love story had me hooked right from the get go!
Boss Man Bridegroom is an office romance and marriage of convenience, with a difference. Meghan Quinn writes the best quirky characters and Charlee is one of my favourite heroines in all the land! Her exuberance, her brightness, her dedication, her wonderful weirdness and no filter honesty was such a breath of fresh air. Rath, likewise proves himself to be one hell of a swoon-worthy hero. His bromance with Bram and his secret love for Historical Romances skyrockets his appeal. It has to be said, their bromance is one of the best, most ridiculous bromances ever. I loved them! Rath and Charlee are truly unforgettable characters and it’s impossible not to fall in love with them. Seeing them fall in love was absolutely EVERYTHING. And that David Hasselhoff sex dream is going up there as one of the most cringeworthy and outrageously hilarious scenes that will be etched in my memory forever. I’m scarred for life!
This is a must read romcom. Meghan Quinn, I’ve said this before, you are a goddess and you wrote these two characters and their story to perfection! I fell in love with them both! Phenomenal read, lovable characters in a fabulous setting. Just all-around literary perfection. A true romcom and one I would desperately love to see made into a movie!
I've have been waiting for Rath to get his story since we met him when the other half of the most epic bromance ever written got his book in The Secret To Dating Your Best Friend's Sister but whoa boy, did it not disappoint. This book had me full-on crying laughing emoji-ing it from page 1.
I love Rath. I really do. He's one of my favorite frat boys but oh my damn I'm having a huge music-blasting, confetti-popping girl crush on Charlee. She is hilarious and I want to be her best friend.
I love when a hero meets a herione that is the light to his dark and Charlee does it in color-coded perfection.
I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard while reading a book. It was non-stop for 95%.
The amigo millionaire businessmen are a trio of odd ducks. Bram, Roark and the current hero, Rath. Good hearts and gorgeously described.
Our heroine, Charlee is an executive assistant with a knack for "planners" and colored pens. She is one dynamite girl in heels with a demonstrative and uninhibited personality. Whoa, does she have a mouth on her!
Maybe a little over-the-top but in a good way, and stretches the bounds of realistic but all in fun. It's a laugh a minute from start to finish, full-spirited romp and fun to read with lively characters you'll find quite lovable.
My only complaint: the ending once again, like so many others lately, was a bit of a letdown. It was dull and ordinary compared to the rest of the book. I felt a little disappointed.
I LOVED every moment of this book! Rath and Charlee are laugh-out-loud funny with their antics, super smoking hot with their attraction, and groveling specialists at the perfect moments.

The heroine:Charlee “bag of dicks” Cox - Three years ago, Charlee’s fiancé stood her up at the alter but went on their honeymoon alone. Since then, she has felt pressure from her grandmother to get married. She was recently let go from her executive assistant job because of a merger. She attends an office supply convention and is a bit too exited to be there and see all the new office supplies. She meets up with a man named Linus who she worked with in the past over the phone and he just happens to be doing the hiring for one of his bosses' friends who has high standards and wants someone who can keep up with him. Charlee is interested in the job working for Rath Westin.
The Hero:Rath Westin - he is a hard worker who owns multiple companies, and his last few executive assistants haven’t worked out, so he has been looking for a reliable one. He had dated one of his assistants in the past and it was a huge mistake. He is a bit of a grump when he first meets Charlee at the convention, but in his defense, he was late for a meeting with the woman Charlee pretended to be. Though when Linus formally introduces him to Charlee, he hires her on the spot.
The Story: Charlee was a bit quirky, especially with how excited she was to be at the convention. I don’t know if they still have office supply conventions, but it seems to me that many of the things she was excited about have been replaced by computer versions to save paper. Like day planners, post-its and the like. She also got a bit too excited on her first day of the new job. She likes to have pictures to commemorate things like the convention and her first day of work. She gets paid well, gets a company apartment in New York, a huge office and still she inwardly complains about the décor and lack of office supplies.
Rath and Charlee don’t get along at first, especially since she does things so differently than the assistants he is used to. Like me, he questions why she is using pen and paper rather than a computer for her notes and things. Plus, she is overly chatty and tends to run her mouth about inane things like how he takes his coffee and what he likes to eat for breakfast, and she goes into talking about the show New Girl and then right on to other topics that he could care less about. I will have to admit, I didn’t like Charlee at all at first, but it wasn’t too long before everything she did was explained and I liked her more and more as she showed how competent she was. Charlee was outrageous at times and was often so inappropriate for a work environment, though it was often very funny.
This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Kelsey Navarro and Connor Crais. Connor is one of my favorite male narrators, and for those I actually search out books that they narrate. He has a deep, but soft and sexy voice and does a terrific Irish accent for Rath’s best friend. Kelsey is also one of my favorite narrators, she has a great voice and is very expressive. I ended up liking this book quite a bit. I didn’t like the fact that it was a bit of a slow burn, and I thought that it did get a bit long in parts while the two main characters were getting to know each other. However, there were parts where I was laughing out loud and when they did finally get together, the story was what I had been waiting for.
Story-wise it was an okay, average read but the humour ruined the book for me. Don't get me wrong, I am all here for quirky and sarcastic characters and situations that make me laugh but there is a fine line between good-funny and way-too-funny. The amount of humour, jokes, sarcastic notes and banter shouldn't top the actual story. It was unrealistic and yes, I laughed a few times, but I was annoyed by the jokes and too funny scenes quite early in the book.
(DNF at 80% but I managed to read a significant part of the book so I mark it as 'read'.)
