Solid Information in a an Easy to Use Book

While I’ve been active on LinkedIN for years, I was interested to read LINKEDIN THE 5-MINUTE DRILL FOR EXECUTIVE NETWORKING SUCCESS. Authors Lori Ruff and Joe Frankie III have been active and using LinkedIN effectively for ages. It shows in their insights which are packed into this well-crafted book.

For example, in the chapter “Networking on LinkedIN,” they write, “So how do you approach it? With the grace and measure of calculation required, or as a mere “I guess I should be there” blasé attitude? That will indicate to you whether you should proceed or not. I honestly hope that you do accept the power of this tool and that you will be open to some critique, advice and encouragement along the way.” (Page 17)

I found a number of insights and tips to apply to my own use of LinkedIN. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

Joe Frankie III and Lori Ruff co-wrote a book titled ‘The 5-Minute Drill for Executive Networking Success’ that was published in December of 2019.

What I admire about the way it was written is that it reads fast-paced and reverses the structure of other books by putting the answer right in front and supporting this with great substance.

Joe and Lori’s book is a very nice read in an afternoon that gets your mind thinking about how diverse LinkedIn really is and how to navigate your profile as an executive networking platform.
Lori brings wonderful insight from her previous five publications.

Joe’s depth is amazing – it is apparent that he brings a lot to the table as a retired Army Colonel with strategy and wisdom.
Take a look at the book, you might find that it may be your best literary investment in a long time.

This book can assist anyone to distinguish one’s self from the casual user of LinkedIn for personal success. I agree that this book can be helpful for recent graduates and senior executives. A how-to on networking on LinkedIn.

This non-fiction book has the potential to help those who read it to understand the basics of LinkedIn and work up to how to effectively network.

Don't think because you aren't an executive in some big business that it won't apply to you. It has information that is equally beneficial to individuals and smaller businesses. You can pick and choose what applies to you.

BLUF: Take $10 and buy this book. It is only 82 pages of reading. You can get it down in an hour. If you open your mind and follow the advice of Lori Ruff and Joe Frankie III. This book will improve your Linkedin persona forever.

As a retired Army Veteran and former Green Beret, I had the honor of connecting with Uncle Joe. My coaching session with him was mind-blowing. He helped me to recognize the power of Linkedin, and how transitioning military and career-driven professionals can use it to build meaningful relations via Linkedin.

By receiving Uncle Joe’s one-on-one mentorship, and reading The 5-Minute Drill. I am inspired to be a Linkedin networking practitioner. I used the tips and techniques in the book to build a real Linkedin persona that helps me to connect with like-minded individuals. Since, our first meeting in December of 2019, I made some valuable Linkinedin connections, which have helped me to advance my career and grow my business.

Thanks Uncle Joe and Lori for your support! - “De Oppresso Liber” #iAYourCamaeraGuy.

Overall, the book lays out strategies that are great for someone trying to navigate their way around LinkedIn. It explains in detail how one must follow companies, brands, and groups to enhance one's network.

I especially liked the “Recommended Groups” section on page 47. The two authors, Lori and Colonel Frankie, mentioned groups that you could follow if you were an executive, or someone working in Logistics/Supply Chain, Sales/Business Development, and Engineering groups. There is plenty more information you can glean from this book.

You can also easily fit the book in your purse or briefcase, and read the book while you wait in line or wait to get your car washed!

It is an outstanding book by two thought leaders on how to use LinkedIn to achieve your personal objectives-- land a new opportunity, pivot, change sectors, get promoted and or generally better merchandise your professional self. One of the authors has personally coached 637 executives/veterans/students on how build a LinkedIn bridge from where they are to where they want to go. Many of those coached recommended a pamphlet, e-guide or an ebook. So, the book is here. It contains a checklist/guide for performing your efficient 5-Minute drill on LinkedIn and and a profile "cheat sheet" checklist to improve your LinkedIn profile. You can read the book in an hour, a plane fight and easily fits in a purse or briefcase.
