Now Greek is here to help her.
VEREK is the third instalment in the contemporary, adult SAVAGE KINGS MC: South Carolina erotic, MC romance series focusing on the Savage Kings MC. This is Verek Rhodes, and Tessa Singleton’s story line. VEREK can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.
WARNING: Due to the graphic nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Verek and Tessa) VEREK follows in the aftermath of the kidnapping and brutal assault against our story line heroine, a kidnapping that occurred outside of the Fluid Night Club owned by the Savage Kings MC. Following her rescue and recovery, Verek is determined to seek revenge on behalf of our heroine, revenge that will go against the orders of the MC. What ensues is the search and take down of the men responsible for breaking our story line heroine; the building romance and relationship between Verek and Tessa; and the potential fall-out as Verek is sanctioned for avenging the woman with whom he will fall in love.
Verek Rhodes holds himself responsible for the attack against Tessa Singleton, and as such, is desperate to avenge the woman who has stolen his heart but seeking revenge comes at a cost. Tessa struggles in the aftermath of the violent attack, an attack that has left her broken with nightmares and memories of what happened and why. Upon her rescue, Tessa found herself recovering with Roman and Charlotte, the President of the MC, but a recovery in which Tessa had very little control about the direction of her life.
The relationship between Verek and Tessa is one of immediate attraction but Tessa was weeks away from getting married to another man. Verek has a reputation as a man-whore, and in this, his past behavior is about to define his relationship with not only Tessa but the President and his wife. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters. We are reintroduced to the members of the Savage Kings MC: South Carolina: Roman and Charlotte (Roman #1); Winston and Zoe (Winston #2), Cannon, Conrad; prospects Lucas and Jake; as well as Tessa’s fiance Paul.
VEREK is a story of vengeance and retribution; punishment and protection; relationships and love. The premise is dark and dramatic; the romance is seductive; the characters are energetic and intense. Another Savage King finds his happily ever after.
Book three of 'Savage Kings MC: South Carolina' brings us Verek and Tessa. Are you ready for this? Tessa has gone through such tragedy; being physically, emotionally, and physically abused is more than she can handle. If you've read the blurb, you know she won't tell any of this to her fiancé. Verek, our resident playboy, is so full of guilt because her tragedy happened on his watch. Our over-confident, devil may care, hero, all of a sudden feels like he's not worthy but he shows such a great deal of patience and empathy in trying to bring Tessa back to herself. Lane Hart & D. B. West have once again ripped me about with all the emotion they've brought to this storyline and then, thankfully, pieced everything back together very gently and lovingly until I, and our characters, were whole again. If you're just now reading reviews to see if this is a book and ultimately a series you'd be interested in, start from the beginning and move forward. Each can be read as a standalone I guess but you'll miss all the small nuances that make this such a splendid series.
This one wrecked me!!! I loved Verek in the previous two books and actually had to go read the book blurb to make sure that he got Tessa....Ohhh yeah. But and this is a huge but...they two would have been so much happier and faster if Charlotte would have kept her big nose out of things. Uggg...and what was her hate on Verek about????
My only criticism was that Tessa should have told Verek earlier or at least when they were getting together that she called off the wedding BEFORE her abduction. She knew the minute she met Verek that she could never go back to Paul. That really should have come out and the meddling Charlotte would have hopefully taken a step back.
It’s was a good book. It was about healing and it was really sweet but I absolutely hated Charlotte here. How are you gonna call her ex fiancé (when you know she doesn’t wanna talk to him ) and tell him to come and stay here for the week. Also she told him to keep calling her everyday. I honest to god hated her and was very irritated with Roman to. How are you going to make decisions for her like she is you’re 10 kid. She is a grown woman and they are just her friends. Was really annoyed with that part.

Ohmigosh! This book is not anything I was prepared for at all! While Verek is part of the mc, he is one of a kind that you will want to claim as your own book boyfriend but sorry I am claiming him!
Tessa believes she is going to be a cat lady.....
Can these two be good for each other?
Can one teach the other to love?
Only one way to find out and that is to read the book!
Finally we have Verek and Tessa's story , if you read the last book you will know what Tessa went through , she's still suffering but is getting stronger everyday and her connection to Verek continues to grow , and OMG Verek is amazing with Tessa , Charlie and Roman interfered way too much for my liking but i know they were only thinking of Tessa , but i found that Tessa was doing what she wanted to do with the help and support of Verek , this is an emotional read but is so brilliantly well written , loved the believable connection and chemistry between them , just read the book it's AMAZING and definitely one to read

This is one book I've been waiting for since Roman's book released and this story was everything I didn't know I needed but absolutely everything I hoped for with this couple. Verek and Tessa's story is filled with anger, fear, isolation, revenge but also comfort, friendship, companionship and love.
Tessa experienced and lived through something no woman should ever go through which wrecked her mentally and physically. Verek was the one person she trusted and felt safe enough to help her through this. But what happens when lines blur and what was a close friendship starts to feel like more? What happens when you're not sure you know how to love? The answers are simple.......read Verek's story!
Verek by Lane Hart & D.B West a five-star read that will break you in the best way. This is number three in the Savage Kings MC – South Carolina series and well they have built to this story, they have built to Tessa telling us her story, we have had glimpses in the first two, but this time Tessa reveals and shows her vulnerabilities, and you need to have read the first two to get the whole picture, you would miss so many of the nuances, read them all in order and get the whole picture. I have sat thinking of words to write that will justify the emotions that this story brought out in me and well I haven’t been able to figure any that will do it justice. Just sitting and writing I have tears in my eyes as Tessa is a stronger woman that I. I wont lie and say this is an easy story to read, but it’s a powerful one, and a story that needs to be told. Tessa and Verek show us how broken edges can fit together, and normal isn’t always what you want. Now bring on Conrad as I need me some more biker love.
Yeah, I just don't know about this one. I have really mixed feelings. On one hand, it read fast. I was interested in it. I wanted to see what happened with it. Tessa has obviously been a huge factor in the first two books of the Savage Kings MC - South Carolina Series, but the book just didn't play out very well. It was just plain...weird. I don't even know how much I want to talk about because of spoilers. Eh, I'll do a thingy. That's right. A thingy.
Tessa Singleton went down to Myrtle Beach with her friends for a bachelorette getaway before her wedding. Instead of a fun time, she gets kidnapped by human traffickers. She is found by the Savage Kings MC but is forever changed. Her savior: Verek. He got her out of that bad place. He visited her in the hospital. He came to her rehab center. He was there for her. Her fiancé? She doesn't want anything to do with him. He's her old life. Plus, she never felt that spark. That fateful night...the night she met Verek? Now, THAT was a spark. And when they spend time together, she believes he might be the one she can be intimate again. When he invites her on an unsanctioned mission to kill the guys who raped her, she jumps at the chance. Unfortunately, this healing mission might be what breaks them apart.
Verek Rhodes only knows how to love 'em and leave 'em. So when a beautiful redhead turns him down at his club, he moves on to the next woman. He'll regret that decision for the rest of his life because that redhead was Tessa Singleton, and she left the club, only to get kidnapped. He feels nothing but guilt over her, even though he is attracted to her and has feelings for her. He'll do anything for her--kill if he has to. And he does. But when it comes to being in a long-term relationship? He believes he's no good for her. He think her old fiancé, Paul, is the better option. So when it comes down to it, and Tessa has to choose, will Verek put up a fight for her?
Okay, now here's my thingy... Anyhow, I definitely have mixed feelings. I was looking forward to this book but was disappointed with how everything fit together. I'm glad Tessa and Verek got their book, but it wasn't the romance either of them deserved.
This is steamy, intense and sweet. This is the 3rd book in this series and should be read after the others for Tessa's and Verek's backstory. After being banned from contacting Tessa by a**hole Roman, Verek does his best to find her attackers so that he can take care of them. He needs to make it up to her for being responsible for her kidnapping. Roman tries to stall him, but Verek gets the info anyway. When he tells Tessa that he is going after them, she insists on going too. Afterwards, Roman runs Verek out of town and threatens to kill him if he ever contacts Tessa again. Six months go by. Verek only wants Tessa to be happy, and everyone keeps telling him that he's not the one for her. Tessa meanwhile gets angrier and angrier at him for ignoring her, because Roman and his interfering, so called best friend never tell he that he didn't leave by choice. Instead the two twits kept pressuring her to be with her ex fiance. Verek is sweet and patient and caring. Tessa was broken, but Verek was helping her heal up until he had to leave. I love this couple, they're my favorite out of the 3 in the series so far. I wish Charlotte and Roman had never come back from their honeymoon, who knows whose life they'll screw up next. I can't wait to read the next book.
I just started reading this series. But I have to say so far Verek is my new favorite book boyfriend. Verek is the continuing story of Tessa and Verek from the last two books. In this book Tessa, with help from Verek finally gets her revenge on the men who kidnapped and raped her. For Verek part in helping her, Roman tells Verek he is ban from the club, to hand in his vest and to get out of town. With Verek gone Tessa starts to pick up the pieces of her life. After six months apart Verek comes back. This time even though he can't tell her how he feels about her. Verek is going to show Tessa. Until her ex fiance Paul shows up at Tessa door. Read this book you won't be able to put it down until you get to the ending. I'm giving this book 5 stars
So much pain but together everything feels right Verek knew the moment he saw Tess he wanted her. But something happened that night that change both their lives forever. A simple decision to leave the nightclub to make a phone call left Tess extremely vulnerable, and she was snatched, kidnapped, raped and told that she would die. Leaving Tess with so much trauma. Verek blamed himself for Tess leaving the nightclub and for that he would never really forgive himself but he made sure he found and saved her before they could kill her. He has been with Tess every opportunity he can get In the last two months to show support to Tess as her friend. But he sees the pain, he hears it when she talks about her attackers so he decides to go against he’s MC president Roman and take Tess to find these men and make them pay. He knows he has to be careful with Tess but he will always put her first. But they were not prepared for what would happen when they were alone. Would they be strong enough to make these men pay?? This is a powerful read with so much pain so much hurt, so much anger, so much love and you feel it in every word you read. My heart broke for Tess and my heart beamed for the friendship that they had but you knew deep down there was so much more to these two and by the end I was just so glad these two had each other. Hindsight's a wonderful thing but when you can’t go back you need to make your future brighter and that’s what these two are together they’re stronger, together they can do anything !!!

I was in the middle of a stop sign when this book appeared on my kindle. Crazy right? And being a greedy girl I needed to open it pronto. Eager doesn't even cover my need to read this. Lane Hart and DB West have created this amazing MC series that everyone should read. Each book is even more intense than the latest. Their writing is raw and wild, hot and sweet... The perfect combination. Verek is their latest release and it's the third book from the Savage King MC series. This book explores the lives of Verek and Tessa. Verek is one of the brothers responsible for their nightclub. He's a womanizer and has no shame about it. One night he meets Tessa... Tessa is having a wild night at a known nightclub with her friends, having her bachelorette party when the stunning Verek crosses her path she starts to question things. When she comes out to grab some fresh air... Dayum... What a book! What a story! What a ride! This book killed me softly... Just saying... Superb plot, very well written, super engaging, and intense. This story broke my heart in pieces and mended it together at the same time. This story was super dark with the light at the end of the tunnel. I've wanted to read this book for a while now and it was well worth the waiting. The struggles they endured, the pain, the nightmares it was raw. I loved it so much and I didn't want it to end. I wanted more, but that's nothing new to you guys because I always want more from this duo. This series is getting better by the book and I'm always left wanting more. Perfect book Lane and DB. Perfect in every dark way. What's next?I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Verek is the third book in the Savage Kings MC - South Carolina series and is the story of that will have you shedding more than a few tears, cheering, being scared and a lot of other emotions along the way. Be warned that there are a number of triggers in this story so if you cannot read about sexual, physical and mental abuse then do not pick this book up. But if you decide to read Verek then you will be richly rewarded. It is the story of Tessa Singleton and Verek Rhodes. Tessa has "survived" a kidnapping in which she was abused terribly by four men who were not going to let her go when they were done but instead planned on killing her. It was Verek who saved her and he has also become her hero as she tries to rebuild her life. Her life before the event was filled with joy and love, as she had been engaged and was getting ready to be married. Now she is attempting to find a new normal and a way to move on. Verek wants to be part of her new life and is willing to wait for her, after all he had a glimpse of who she was before it all happened. This story does deal with very horrific and soul shattering subject matter. But it is also a story of rebirth and love, in whatever form it comes into your life in. Verek and Tessa form a bond that is deep and intimate, even before it is physically intimate. The story-line is solid and the characters are fantastic, even as they break your heart and then lift it up again.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
(Verek & Tessa): So now we get Tessa And Verek's story from their own POV. TRIGGERS: Kidnapping, rape. So the authors in this book take us back to the beginning of book one "Roman" but instead of seeing what Roman and Charlotte are doing, it's like a movie cut to what happened with Tessa and Verek starting on the dancefloor. Hearing the details of Tessa's night is horrifying and sad and affects everyone including the SKMCSC. NOTE: there are time jumps. I love that we get a little bit more of Tessa in therapy but most of the book is focused on her getting her life back. I didn't like that Roman and Charlotte took on more parental roles over Tessa as if she could not think for herself. There were times when both of them stepped over the line trying to keep Verek away from Tessa. Verek is a strong alpha male and known playboy who's got a bad rap. He blames himself for what happened to Tessa and does whatever he can to help her. Tessa, despite everything she's gone through, is stronger than everyone but Verek sees. Her return to intimacy is a slow burn but it's understandable. Her trust in one man is also understandable but that no one sees that is not. That actually annoyed me. I love that Verek knew what she needed to feel safe again and made it happen. You can tell that he's fallen in love with her without him saying the words, just by his actions. Honestly, I wasn't surprised that she fell in love with him. I did too. While this book was not my favorite because I did feel at a certain point that Tessa was just using him because for sexy time, it was a very good read.
Verek, (Verek Rhodes) is the latest, incredibly crafted installment, (Book 3), to The Savage Kings MC Series. Personally, I couldn't be a prouder reader/follower of this power couple. That's right, Ms. Lane Hart and Mr. D.B. West, have certainly created pure gold, when they 'dreamed' up this MC. Seriously, should you be a fan of desirable MC romance(s), then please know, these two gifted Author's have most definitely delivered for each of us.
The pages within Verek, are filled with triumph as well as the personal tragedies of Tessa. Unfortunately, Tessa has truly endorsed and has been through a tragic and horrific experience that no one should EVER have to go through and Verek was one of the Kings to rescue her.
I am one of those types of readers that do not like to give too much of the plot away, so that I do not ruin it for others, however, I can definitely say without a doubt... this is a book that you can read from the very beginning, all the way through to the beautiful happily ever after they receive. And you will enjoy every minute of it, as I have.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Verek in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion and I couldn't recommend reading this release as well as the Series as a whole mote.
The next installment to the series is Conrad and I could not wait to devour that one too.
Verek is intertwined with previous installations in the Savage Kings MC series. Tessa is working through her horrific ordeal, but so are her friend Charlotte and the Savage Kings. No one takes the consequences of that fateful night more seriously than Verek, who sacrifices everything to make it right.
These are the same endearing characters from the two previous books in this series. Verek is vetted out more, and Tessa's story from that tough night is detailed. I love the Savage Kings MC members, as vulnerable and imperfect as they are, but Tessa has a choice to make, go with her future, or what makes her happy. However, she has had an awakening in the midst of her nightmare.
This story shows us what it means to have your life flipped on its head, but was it?! Tessa has endured so much, and Verek was there for her, but can either of them overlook all of what she endured?! With intrigue, action, and slow build steaminess, an engaging and steamy story build your interest and continue to draw you into each page.

Remarkable job guys, thanks for sharing this amazing thrill with us.
(I read Roman and Winston via KU and I am SO glad that I did. It made the three books flow and work together so much better. They do work as standalones but I would highly recommend reading them in order.) Verek is the manager of Fluid, the Savage Kings nightclub. As one of Myrtle Beaches most popular hotspots, women were easy come, easy go. Until he met Tessa. They build up a really strong friendship. Through this, Verek finds that he is crazy about Tessa and he is so patient with her. He also accepts being purely friends. He even says goodbye to his playboy lifestyle for her. She means the world to him. Another well written and gripping addition to this series. It concludes the arc that began in book one brilliantly. This is a fantastic series that has introduced an interesting extension to the Savage Kings MC. The way the books have interwoven and overlapped so far has also ended with vague epilogues that are enjoyable and round the story off but they don’t give anything away about the next book. Can’t wait for the next instalment. Superb!

Finally Verek and Tessa get their book. Let me say this one is pretty dang good. So we finally get to see how Tessa is handling things. Thanks to Verek she has been able to get better day by day. However, we see a different side of Verek than we did at the beginning of this series. Before Tessa traumatic experience, her and Verek had a connection but nothing was acted upon. If you have read the series you will know what is going on. However I have to say that Charlotte was really getting under my nerves with trying to get Tessa to rekindle her relationship with Paul. It was like she was not really listening to what Tessa was telling her. In retrospect Tessa really did not want to voice why. Also Verek is patient with Tessa and listens to her. So he does something incredible for her knowing what it will cost him. Will it be worth it all? Can Tessa get her happily ever after or just let it all slip by? You will definitely need to read this series. I love it!!

I found myself completely captivated by Verek and Tessa's story. Reading through this series, I knew this book would be something special and in my opinion it really did not disappoint. Things get very emotionally intense in this book and triggers abound. So, if any kind of sexual, physical and mental abuse are triggers for you, please stop and consider before attempting to read this book for your own well being. I will say that even as someone with no triggers this book was not always easy to read. It is quite powerful and incredibly moving though. My heart did not merely break for Tessa, it shattered. Being a witness to such tragedy and horrors, the fallout from it all and her painful battle of recovery left me feeling gutted and vulnerable. My heart also ached for Verek. His guilt and own emotional baggage weighed just as heavily into the growing relationship between these two. I highly recommend that you start this series from book one and read through the books in order to achieve the very best reading experience. I'm posting an independent, impartial review.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the third book in the Savage Kings SC MC series, and it was a good one. This is the love story between Verek and Tessa. They both have their own lives but all it took was one look. Things went from complicated to worse. After being rescue from hell, Tessa can only find some peace with Varek. He knows that she is his, but can he help her heal enough to give them a chance. He is determined to avenge her even if he goes it alone. Tessa knows that the only person who can help put her back together is Varek. Once they survive all the nightmares, they will finally get the chance at a happy future. This story is full of angst, drama, danger, lust, friendship and love. It will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I enjoyed their story and seeing them turn out better than they were. I look forward to what these authors bring us next

All of the books in this series so far have been great, but...this is the best one yet! All the feels in this one, right through to the very end!
This book has been a long tine coming and I’ve been anxiously waiting for it. We finally get the little details (that make a huge difference) of what happened on that terrible night. Tessa is so strong and amazing! I honestly loved Verek. I felt like he grew so much with everything that happened. I obviously felt horrible for what Tessa went through, but I wasn’t expecting Verek’s childhood and how much it impacted his life and how he viewed relationships. Quite a few times I wanted drop kick Roman and Charlotte. Especially Charlotte! How could she have pulled that stunt with Paul without Tessa’s approval?! Here’s my favorite line of the book: “I don’t think there’s an inch of you that’s anything but perfect.” -Verek
I can’t wait for Conrad’s book!

And yet another win for this series. I have enjoyed each and every book but then I am a fan of Lane Hart and have been for years. This story is a bit heartbreaking and about Tessa and Verek. Verek was Tessa’s hero basically, he’s the one that rescued her from the four men who kidnapped her and planned to kill her after they finished with her. She was tortured and abused in every way imaginable. Once these pathetic excuses for men finished with the women they kidnapped, death was next. but VEREK rescued her. Tessa had been engaged before her kidnapping but gave up her engagement because she couldn’t go through with after everything. Verek seems to understand her and doesn’t expect anything from her and that’s exactly what she needs. Everyone else’s attitude bugged me, after such a horrific event she was expected to just ‘suck it up’ - bit pathetic. I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book.

I have been waiting for this one since reading Roman...Verek and Tessa were/are destined to be together. After the traumas that' happened to Tessa she wasn't sure that she would ever be whole or be able to love again, enter Verek...he was exactly the man that she needed. Verek was so loving and patient with Tessa even willing to put his feelings to the side if she chose to be with Paul. And he knew that she would not heal unless she was a part of putting an end to the evil that hurt her even if it cost him his patch. Now I love Roman and Charlotte I really do but I really struggled with liking them in this book. I know that they were only doing what they thought was best for Tessa but they were treating her like a child. This book is full of everything that we love in an MC romance...drama, angst, lust, stream, and of course alpha hot bikers. I highly recommend this book but please read the first two before, you won't regret it.

I have 5 chapters left in this, but I'm listening to it as an audiobook during my drive on a work trip and know I won't remember how much I hate Roman and Charlotte when I resume it on my drive home next week, so I'm writing a review up to this point now.
Charlotte consistently pushing Paul on Tessa has fully pissed me off. Tessa keeps saying she's no longer interested in being with him and Charlotte acts like she's a child who doesn't know what she wants. ESPECIALLY when inviting him to stay with Tessa while she was out of town without even telling Tessa. And then when Tessa got mad, convincing her to give Paul another chance while shitting on Verek without knowing anything about him. It also piggybacks on Charlotte and Roman treating Tessa like a child who doesn't know her own mind and telling her what she can and can't do. I'm so pissed on Tessa's behalf because she's trying to heal and they aren't letting her.
After the Paul stunt, I'd end the friendship immediately, even if Charlotte was there for me during the kidnapping.
Powerful story to read. Tessa is kidnapped & has endured the worse abuse imaginable. Verek is one of the men who rescues her & sees the horrific remains of a vibrant woman he saw only days ago. Verek is willing to wait for Tessa after she goes through months of therapy. A strong emotional novel where he is very patient with her, his tenderness towards her, & the extents of what he'll do for her so she gets her closure on this horrible part of her life. Another excellent novel of this series especially on how the story evolves from a vibrant engaged young woman to a broken shell in a matter of days. Verek realizes he will wait forever for her to be mentally & physically healed so they can have their HEA. Will Tessa ever be healed & be able to move on forward into a healthy relationship with Verek or her fiance, Paul from this pre-traumatic period?
