Hook Line and Sinker!!

That's exactly how this book had me from the beginning until the very end. Reckless Ambition is a band who is being pieced together to become the next big thing and there is a music magazine who is going to follow them from their beginning and watch as their careers soar. Guinevere is just out of college and has landed the job as the band's publicist not the babysitter the guys think she is.

Lead singer Maverick doesn't like pretentious liars and that is how he has Guinevere pegged. He's had enough of this in his life which only makes his anger flair when he's around their houseguest. He's also made it known with his band mates that no one touches the babysitter. Evidently easier said than done. It all comes to a head when he comes face to face with his past and he realizes how much his past looks just like their babysitter! Be prepared for one crazy cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book.

Simple and yet excellent
I loved this story which although it seems like a simple romance is excellent and ends on a frustrating cliffhanger as I got caught up in the story of the characters of Maverick and Guenivere. The end leaves us hanging in a more than tense situation.
I loved the characters who are complex, who hate each other on prejudices (surprisingly especially on Maverick's part), but who attract each other without understanding each other.
It’s a great start to the series, very moving and hot.

Guinevere is trying to make it on her own. She wants to make her own money not be known for her familys money. She just got out of college and trying to get a journalist job, but is offered a position as a publicist for a music magazine. She sets off for meeting up with the band she will work with. Reckless Ambition. All the guys are great but Maverick the lead singer just sets her off temper and sexually. They have so much chemistry its off the charts. They agree to keep it a secret from the band since sexy Maverick warned the guys they needed to stick to building their music. This issue ends with Maverick flying off the handle when Guineveres sister shows up and after accidently seeing her journal. Sooo looking forward to the next issues.

First, let me say that I love the cover! The story though is amazing. This had me on edge and a little sad where it ended because it will leave you on a huge cliffhanger that still has me reeling. The chemistry is amazing and even though the relationship is more hate than love right now, I was more surprised with Maverick because of his past. I would think he would understand more than others. But that's what makes the story so good. Can't wait for the next one.

Maverick is singer the in the band Reckless Ambition. He won it in an audition with other band mates. This story follows their story before their first tour. The magazine is trying to reinvent rock band sensations. In comes Guinevere who works for the magazine/record label and becomes the publicist for Reckless Ambition. She is forced to live with them and promote their gigs. Maverick and her have a hate/friend relationship. The story ends on a cliffhanger.

Hopefully there will be more.

A slow burn the ignite so bright
What a fantastic start to a series this is called reckless ambition. It’s a group of lads who have made up a rock band and this book is mainly about Maverick. Maverick has always know that music Was what he wanted to do, so when he gets a chance to audition Or a rock band he jumps at it. He is made the lead singer of the band.
When he meets up with the group they set some ground rules and they agree that women are A distraction not to say they can’t enjoy themselves but they can’t get in the way. So when Guinevere Turns up saying that she is their new publicist sparks fly. And Maverick calls her out on her lies.
Guinevere has taken a job that she didn’t really want but being a publicist would get her where she wants to go. But she has so many secrets that she is hiding. But that’s her right. Thankfully she has a good best friend who has taken her at face value. When she gets to the mansion that the rock band are staying in she is met by somebody who obviously doesn’t like her straight away. It seems like Maverick has a major issue with her. But where will this lead??

Firstly I have really enjoyed these two getting to know each other as well as us getting to know the whole band. But I was not ready for the twist YOU have totally blown my mind. I need answers now I need the second book. Honestly I have no understanding which way is up or down I am screaming with excitement. This series is going to blow my mind I just know it and I’m trying to prepare myself but I know I won’t be prepared for whatever you are bringing our way. So addictive so explosive a fantastic book.

So here were are in the 4th book of the series, but actually a new story with the background of first 3. Guinevere and Maverick come from 2 different worlds. While trying to make a name for herself independently of her family's wealth, she never dreamed her path would be as a publicist for an up and coming rock band. Maverick, who's heart was always in his music, take a leap of faith to leave his stable world as an architect and with the opportunity given him, decides to pursue his dreams. Guinevere has never been able to please her dad and Maverick doesn't want to let his down. So here they are thrown into a new world, where they collide. Maverick senses things about her background that for reasons we are not privy to yet, sets his teeth on edge. He harshness aside, he is still drawn to her and she is to him. Little did we realize what laid ahead when they decided to go for their attraction and discreetly see each other as in 'frenemies with benefits". The curveball thrown at the end with the appearance of Guin's older sister, Genevieve and Guin's college room mate, Andrea, really throw us for a loop. I really did not see that one coming! It does clear up a lot of questions about Maverick's hard-on for rich "pretentious" people and his glowering hate for blondes. That was really well written. Can't wait for finish this review to start the next book in the series!

Guinevere is in over her head with this new rock band project. Maverick alternates between insulting her and making nice. A girl is gonna get whiplash. Maverick is the band's leader but is certainly embracing the rock star privilege's of getting groupies. However much he tries to stay away from Guinevere he can't seem to. When Guinevere tries to forget him with another man, Maverick goes all possessive on her. Things start to settle down and Maverick and Guinevere give into their strong chemistry just in time for old demons to show up unannounced. This book does end on a cliff hanger but if you are like me, I am really gonna need the next book.

Starts off like an enemies-to-lovers story between Maverick, brooding lead singer for Reckless Ambition, and Guinevere, their new publicist.

I really wanted to like this one as much as I liked the first three in this series, though these characters didn't have the chemistry that I expected them to and the story didn't draw me in.

There are caveman antics, surprisingly sweet gestures, steamy scenes, and a whopping surprise near the end before the cliffhanger.

Reckless Ambition is a new band geared up to be the next best thing...a music magazine is going to follow them around and document their rise in fame. Guinevere is hired to be their publicist her and Maverick the band's lead singer have off the charts chemistry but he infuriates her. This book goes along with their first tour. It's a great story so far and I can't wait to see what the next book has in store for us.

Amazing + animalistic + electrifying = passion and fire 🔥. This was a great read full of raw passion and sexual tension. I had a hard time putting it down. The relationship between Maverick and Guinevere was so electrifying that you could almost feel the sparks fly between them. When they gave in to the tension it was raw and animalistic. I will definitely be rereading it again. This writing duo’s on fire I have never been disappointed with any of their books. Absolutely on pins and needles waiting for the next one.

I’ve read this series the wrong way around I read issue #2 and now I’ve started on issue 1 lol but that’s nothing unusual for me I seem to read books out of order a lot but it didn’t stop me from loving Maverick’s and Guinevere’s story. This is my absolute favourite genre rockstars, bands etc sorry guys I’m not going to give any spoilers so read the blurb and that will give you the gist to this fantastic story, this book ends on a cliffhanger but I already know what happens. I’m loving these two authors and their rockstar stories so keep it up guys and I definitely recommend this book.

I love the pretty boy rock series, if you enjoyed the phoenix rising story then you will love this. Fantastic characters and story and can't wait for the next installment. If you like rockstar romance this is a must read.

Maverick joins his band and learns that they have a housemate, Guinevere who was hired to be the publicist for their group. She is a distraction that he does not want and her lies make her even more annoying. They spend time together and ends of sleeping together, things are going ok until his past and her sister show up and everything explodes.

This is a great start to the series. Maverick and Guinevere have a lot of chemistry together that is pretty steamy hot. There is just so many twists in the story that it keeps you involved and reading. I can't believe the cliffhanger that will make me wait for the next book to see what happens.
