In the summer before his sixth year at Hogwarts, Harry decides to take his own words to heart - it is time to let the Gryffindor go. As he tries to navigate the world with the eyes of a Slytherin, he surprises everyone with what he discovers he’s capable of.
After all, Slytherins use any means to achieve their ends, even when they are not a fan of the means.
how i’m supposed to move on and read other fics after this one 😭😭😭 and i want to cry knowing that the author has been on the sequel for 4 years and it’s still not finished and i need to see dark powerful wizard harry finding the way to SAVE the dark wizard community and showing them they have a choice and saving the whole wizard community from voldemort and i also need to read more of slytherin harry and read more of this drarry they’re so special to me and and and oh i really need more of this fic seriously i could read 10 more books of it without complaining or getting bored.
but well, at least the author is back to updating the fic, really slowly, but i’m completely fine with that as long as she keeps updating no matter how long it takes to finish the whole fic
This one is not finished yet, and only semiactive. Whether it will eventually be finished is left to be seen.
It’s already great though, both (the author avoids so many tropes it’s really refreshing) and the general direction and little details, though it’s a bit jumpy between chapters.
It’s also got the single most concise and yet most readable rendering of OWL results in a fanfiction ever.
was going in a great direction…but permanently discontinued AND the plot outline for the rest of the series was insane. completely missed the point of their own fic tbh 😭 the whole thing was an exploration of light vs dark and how we need both, and then at the end completely lost the plot and made it so the darkness was the villain, which is no different than the original books’ plot. i thought this was diverging from the original book and telling a different story, but it’s the same ending with extra steps and worse ways to get to it. still, the WAY this author writes is so good and i wish i could have read it even if i wouldn’t have liked the ending.

Hello. Everyone is so polite and praise your work, so I’m going to voice the opposite opinion. Your writing of the 1st part was so engaging, interesting and - different. I guess it was taking its toll on you because the 1st part readership was sizeably bigger - even if you compare the kudos part. Your outline, especially for the 3rd part is so far from the original idea in N1 that I guess lots of readers would just drop it, if they had the chance and could foresee such an ending. I believe the idea could have been developed in a much more interesting way than making Harry a squib - probably your idea of getting back at JK as she is associated with this character. Also, it is kind of sad that you mixed your attitude to the author of the original story, your own personal struggles and the only people you punished were your own readers and supporters, who loved and supported YOU. I would say it’s less courage than JKR had facing all the critique she had been through the years. Anyway, I wish you best of luck in finding yourself in this word, doing what YOU like, even if it might upset some people. Moreover, I believe that lovingly disagreeing with someone’s beliefs is no crime. However, also it’s not a crime to state obvious truths, biological facts and supporting the causes that one believes in. I think everyone should put their energy into the things they love and believe in - not into fighting the opposing camp.
I didn't like this one nearly as much as the first part (Evitative), especially towards the end, the writing style suffered, and Harry started to read as annoying and whiny, more than simply being temperamental. I did, however, enjoy Ron's character arc. I'm not 100% on the Drarry either, but that was never the central point.
This is a discontinued fic, but based on the plot outline given at the very end, the rest of the series was not going to be something I would've enjoyed anyway. I was curious about light affinities, but it doesn't seem like that was ever going to be worked out very well aside from some new announced light wizards/witches.
ITS SO GOOD BUT THE PLOT TWISTS ON PLOT TWISTS R CRAZY. i am a tad bit sad that the author couldnt complete this amazing work of art, but im really glad she told us what happened nect instead of us mentally dying
i thought this one was finnished but apparently not cause i was left at a big cliffhanger and with the promise of mcd (which im nervouse about if it gets updated)
