Kay Correll is a USA Today bestselling author of sweet, heartwarming stories that are a cross between women’s fiction and contemporary romance. She is known for her charming small towns, quirky townsfolk, and the enduring strong friendships between the women in her books.

Kay splits her time between the Southwest coast of Florida and the Midwest of the U.S. and can often be found out and about with her camera, taking a myriad of photographs, often incorporating them into her book covers. When not lost in her writing or photography, she can be found spending time with her ever-supportive husband, knitting, or playing with her puppies - a cavalier who is too cute for his own good and a naughty but adorable Australian shepherd. Their five boys are all grown now and while she misses the rowdy boy-noise chaos, she is thoroughly enjoying her empty nest years.

Six Hours Away: Return to Lighthouse Point: Charming Inn Book 6 is by Kay Correll. Once more, things are in an uproar on Belle Island. This time it is a tropical storm possibly a hurricane heading north or directly towards Belle Island, only time will tell.
With the threat of a hurricane headed towards them, Gary and Lillian postpone their honeymoon to stay and prepare Charming Inn for the worst. The guests are leaving and all future guests have been notified not to come. Everyone is boarding up their homes and businesses and preparing to ride it out. Evacuation has not been called for; but preparations are made. Noah has opened the community center to prepare it to house as many people as possible if necessary. Ben is lashing down boats and preparing the marina for the worst. Jay is battening down the kitchen and preparing food for those who are working on the Inn. Mason has decided to stay on the island to help and is working at the community center with Zoe. All that can be done is done.
Meantime, someone has been stealing the cash deposits that Lillian has kept in her safe. When Jay was accused the first time, she changed the safe and Jay no longer has access to it. She offered him the combination and he refused for his own safety. Unknown to anyone but Jay and Lillian and Robin, Jay has put a camera in Lillian’s office to see if they can catch the thief in action. Will it work?
Lillian is still trying to trace the family of Anna Smith whose journal she is reading for clues. So many records were destroyed in hurricanes and storms that she is reaching many dead ends. Then, just before the hurricane comes, Etta from the historical society tells her that she found where Anna Smith was missing after the hurricane that hit back then. From another bit of information, Etta finds that Johnny was missing as well. Lillian is heartbroken that the two did not get together. However, she has no time to worry about them, her own hurricane is coming.

Love finds a way

I've loved all your stories would be better if for once you brought down Camarillo ,stop letting all your characters let her get away with her rude antics and Delbert needs a back bone for gods sake I know it's to late to change anything in your books but in your future writing stop letting the bully and uncaring get away with it all the time. Kinds of turn me on reading future novels. Just saying.

I absolutely loved the story and all the details about hurricanes off the coast of Florida. I could feel what the characters must have been feeling. But this book was just a bit over the top with all the dialogue about kissing. I feel like it detracted some from the story. Although I still enjoyed the read.

A quick read. I rounded up to three stars just because I feel like I know these characters after six books and I’m curious about how things end up for each of them.
