I am a huge fan of Annie West stories and I think this one may have been the most sensual, sexy and steamy one that I have read and might I say loved it, I loved getting to know Strato Doukas and Cora Georgiou what a journey to the best HEA, come along a spend some time on a luxury yacht around Greece, you won’t be sorry.
Marine biologist Cora is working in the family hotel at the moment doing her best to help keep the hotel going and her father well, but there are times that she needs to get back to the water and her special place. When Cora arrives she is not expecting to find Poseidon laying on what she calls her island she is worried he is hurt but those fears are allayed as she gets closer, never has she felt attracted to a man like this before she is very wary of men in general after a past experience.
Strato the forever bachelor is having a hard time lately the women he usually finds enjoyable and fun are not doing anything for him, he is sailing around on his yacht when he takes some time out to rest on an island when he is discovered by a beautiful water nymph, never has he felt this way about a woman before, he cannot forget her when she leaves and it is not long before he is offering her a deal to spend a month on his yacht with him no pressure.
I loved Cora a strong and bold woman who knows what she wants and thinks that Strato is a privileged billionaire, someone she can control herself against, but can she? and then Strato a man who has no desire to fall in love ever with his childhood that is the only way, but Cora does something to him, she makes him feel but that scares him as well, together the pages sizzle with passion and a growing friendship until Cora discovers she is pregnant this puts a whole new twist on things.
I loved this one so much, another beautifully written story with characters that are bought to life on the pages a must read for any romance reader who loves to be swept away in passion and love and beautiful HEA’s.
My thanks to the author for my copy to read and review
Nice and easy. H and h meet and is insta lust. Hero offers h a month on his yatch plus clients for her father’s hotel, h accepts. They have wonderful time, sex, entertaining, parties and they decide to go on after the month. When h finds out she’s pregnant and tells the H, he tells her it’s impossible because he had a vasectomy and he doesn’t want children. He throws her out ( not literally but almost) Of course the vasectomy didn’t work against H’s Uber fertility and he’s sorry, but he refuses to be a father because of his traumatic past. Heroine manages to persuade him he’ll be a wonderful father (and husband) Ok reading, not much angst, the hero should have had therapy because he wasn’t really free from his past. I didn’t like he asked for dna test, it was something very nasty since the h was never interested in his money, she even refused him in the beginning when she knew he was a billionaire, so I found it very insulting. He was a womanizer, the book opens with him in his yatch and two women proposing him a threesome. Tacky. He refused and sent them packing, afterwards he never had ow, sadly I don’t love womanizers, even redeemed ones. Too many references to his past behavior and ow…I’m not into too much used goods. The heroine was nice, not a martyr or a doormat. An intelligent woman who knows what she wants, brave until the end. A light reading.
Cora Georgiou is a marine biologist however cannot do what she loves as her father runs a hotel that is in debt ,so Cora will do anything for her father. Helping all she can at the hotel she takes breaks and explores the shoreline to protect the baby turtles. On one of her excursions, she finds she is not alone there is a naked man lying on the sand, concerned that something has happened to him that he is there she approaches him. He is gorgeous and fills all her fantasies in one. He says he will be picked up at sunset and asks her to spend time with him. Sounds like the beginning of a romance story, however it is much more. I don't want to give spoilers as this is a book to savor . Annie West always writes wonderful stories not a one I haven't loved and this one goes to the top of the list of favorites. What an incredible story for both characters and following to see why each is the way they are is enough to keep you glued to each page. deserves more than 5 stars
I absolutely adore this author’s books. She has the gift of creating characters who engage my interest, and plots which are credible and emotional. This is no exception - Strato and Cora’s story held me enthralled to the very last page.
I loved the premise and I loved the setting. Greece is one of my favourite destinations and the super yacht where Strato and Cora developed their relationship fulfilled all my fantasy needs.
It was also great to meet up with Damien and Steph again.
I hated Strato’s reaction to Cora’s pregnancy and thought that his behaviour totally contradicted everything we knew he was trying to avoid - and his insistence on the DNA test really upset me. If I was Cora, I’d find it hard to forgive that. Yes - Strato is damaged but in this instance he is very cruel. However, I think this is a tribute to AW’s writing that the characters become so real!
Phew! This is one sexy story. A consequence Made in Greece has all you could ask for in terms of brooding, sexy heroes and strong, independent heroines as well as a gorgeous setting in the Greek Islands. Strato, the billionaire who has rescued Cora’s father’s hotel, has a playboy reputation, which hides his softer, gentler side. He also has a horrific past, which impacts on his relationships. Marine biologist Cora has put her career on hold while she helps her father. I loved that she is a curvy heroine with more than a teaspoon of bust and that she is also toned and fit. I also liked that in the bedroom, or the gym or the beach she is just as sexually intent as Strato. These two positively sizzle together but they also become good friends, easily enjoying each other’s company. Their story moves fast, with plenty of twists to keep you interested. Annie West has done a great job of taking readers on a fantasy journey in a book that I loved.
As far as Harlequin books go this one was a far better read without the usual bullshit and "outrageous things that do not exist in real life" taking precedence as the main content. It has a practical heroine and a hero who can actually grasp the extent of the emptiness of his rich billionaire playboy lifestyle without again the 'usual' arrogance that's always present in the bullheaded, swallow-minded heroes in this sort of stories. And did I add that there weren't the sort of embarrassing scenes where the characters cannot seem to keep their hands to themselves despite thinking the worst about each other (aka succumbing to over-fawned temptation). Thus, the epitome is that Cora and Strato are better because they weren't some raging horny teenagers, have actually managed to at least make me believe that they cared about each other by the end of the book, and if not anything else they must have been good enough to make me remember their name by the end of the book (as the norm goes, I forget the name of the main characters in case of harlequin romances by the last page).
Strato is a wealthy, unrepentant playboy when he meets marine biologist, Cora who is so unlike the women who normally cling to him. She's real. She makes him feel things. Cora won't give him the time of day, but accepts his offer for a month sailing the Aegean in exchange for helping her father with his struggling hotel.
Annie West delivers a satisfying, sexy love story, bursting with emotions -- love, anger, mistrust, forgiveness. I liked that Cora was willing to dig in and fight for Strato once she learned of the fear that drove him to reject her. Stato wasn't the careless playboy he wanted the world to see. Only Cora saw the real man. An enjoyable, sexy, sensual read.
It was brave to start the book with the hero illustrating his empty and debauched lifestyle. On his yacht with two women who are there for sex, Strato is starting to realise how empty and meaningless his hedonistic lifestyle is.
Cora distrusts him because of past experience with playboys, but cannot resist the insane sexual attraction. I loved their journey on the yacht and their journey to a happy ever after.
I found the name Cora (German) distracting. I really loved the way we saw both POVs. Really enjoyable story.
Whew!! Strato is very head strong!! Thankfully, so is Cora! This story sizzles almost from the very beginning, but you also get a sense of who they are from the very start. These two are perfect together and it doesn't take long for you to see it even if it takes them forever. It's not as predictable as you'd think, though it will have you thinking you know what you don't really know. Definitely a very good read!
This was a fantastic book, it was very well written with great characters. The h is a strong, feisty, beautiful and kind person who has a few insecurities but she is no pushover. The H is handsome, rich and arrogant, he had a traumatic childhood. When they met, there was so much chemistry. Great epilogue.
4 stars for editing and repeated use of the same descriptive words and long internal reflections. I skipped a lot of interval stuff. Sorry overall we l was good.
This was a very beautiful story of two people finding love and happiness together against all odds. I love this book and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. I would definitely read it again
This book was exactly what you'd expect from a HP... but yet a little bit different. Absolutely loved the MCs and their fascination with each other! Very entertaining read.
Yuhuuu, here is Annie West’s latest book. I have read several books of hers and so far she hasn’t disappointed me with her stories therefore when I got this ARC whilst having school holiday, I had been assuming this would be a perfect book to read, relax and escape to Greece. Indeed, it was.
A billionaire playboy with big body and green eyes, Strato Doukas is enjoying his hedonistic life on his yacht, however he seems to feel empty and uninterested then when he lands whilst sunbathing, he sees a boat taking a woman with curvaceous body and long black hair that he assumes doesn’t exist anymore. Cora Georgiou, a marine biologist thinks that Strato is stranded and being tricked by some irresponsible friends, so she approaches him in order to look over him and she is surprised to see him naked. (I couldn’t stop imagining it haha)
Kind hearted and very decent Cora can’t abandon him therefore she takes care of him by giving her food and drink, she has no slightest notion who he is so she offers her shorts for him. What I loved the most was both presume each other as Greek mythology, Strato thinks that she is Nereid whereas Cora thinks that he is Poseidon. Strato is so strongly attracted to Cora and he will do anything to have passionate affair with her thus he comes to her with unexpected proposal.
I was so taken by their mutual desire, steamy attraction and passionate affair yet every time Cora compares Strato with a man she associated with in the past made me eagerly guess what actually had happened and every time Strato feels so possessive of her, he is afraid of something dark in the past might appear until they discover that Cora is pregnant and it kept me turning the pages.
Well West’s book has succeeded in letting me enjoy my snatched holiday where I was brought to stunning Greece and introduced to a playboy hedonistic Strato who apparently is so thoughtful and generous and independent decent Cora that at the end succeeds in making Strato obsessively jealous. Despite lack of interpretation how Cora works in the sea as marine biologist, I still loved her character. Thank you, Annie West, for this ARC which I voluntarily reviewed.
I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to read an advanced copy of Annie West upcoming new release:
A Consequence Made in Greece.
Hero: Strato’s is your fairly typical handsome billionaire life has become to easy, not much of a challenge anymore for him, women falling over themselves to accommodate him, never looking deeper than what he can give them materially, but still hoping that they might be the one to change his mind on committing to a long-term relationship, but that is something that Strato’s has vowed that he will never do No Wife No Children!!!!. Strato’s has become disillusioned with his life and feels he needs to make changes but doesn’t what or how.
He then meets our heroine Cora and wow does she pack a punch.
Heroine: Cora has left her career as a marine biologist to help her father keep the family hotel afloat she is afraid that this may be a losing battle, Cora and Strato meet on a beach and she thinks that she has summed him up pretty quickly, he is just another rich man of no substance out looking for a bit of fun definitely not the kind of man that she is looking for Cora had a relationship in the past with a rich charming man and is not in the market for another one.
But then Strato makes her an offer she finds hard to refuse.
I was hooked from the first, as we get to know Strato and Cora, they lead us on a rollercoaster ride full of emotion and humour, right from their first meeting on a sandy white beach to their last emotional filled meeting on Strato’s luxury yacht.
With a lovely epilogue as well to finish.
Congratulations Annie another fabulous⭐️⭐️🌟⭐️⭐️ book!!!!!.
It is straight to the Keeper Bookcase for this one.
Thank you Annie for the opportunity to read A Consequence Made in Greece, I truly thank you for all the hours of reading pleasure that your stories bring me.
The best time to read Annie West’s latest novel, is on a cold winter’s night, snuggled in bed, in desperate need of warming up. In fact, A Consequence Made in Greece knocked my socks right off. Feet toasty and warm! Ahem. The last thing Marine Biologist Cora expects to stumble across on a deserted Greek Isle is a naked Greek God. A rather arrogant Greek God as it turns out, not her type of man at all. Strato has swum from his luxury yacht eager to escape the boringly beautiful women, who want his bank account more than him. He’s his own worst enemy, frightened of commitment but bored by the monotony of hook-ups and one-night stands. Fire and passion, deals and consequences. A Consequence Made in Greece has it all. Whilst Strato is not my type of man, far too much for me, I did enjoy getting to understand him and thoroughly loved Cora, from her name to her attitude. And the setting! I dream of Greek Islands, even though I live near the beach. Somehow Greece is more enticing. And I have never stumbled upon a Greek God, naked on the sands. Ever! Alas. If you are looking for a hot, hot read then a Consequence Made in Greece is for you. Annie West, you’ve done it again!
A Consequence made in Greece is published by Harlequin Mills and Boon and comes out in August {tomorrow?} 2021.
A Consequence Made In Greece by Annie West could possibly be my most favorite stories of hers that I have read in recent times.
Descriptive words Annie uses are as beautiful as curvy calligraphy. The action is as exciting as any 5 star movie and the characters are brilliant in their roles. A very interesting beginning brings Strato and Cora together. Bowled over Strato is prepared to move heaven and earth to convince Cora she needs to come on a month-long sail with him. Finding just the right reason to convince her, it’s not long before Strato and Cora (love the names) are in paradise. The trip is long enough for Cora to fall in love and unfortunately huge consequences. The ramifications of Strato’s rejection are pretty intense and leads to an emotional conclusion.
I feel the reason for Strato's rejection was pretty intense, probably the most intense I've read for a Presents line but it did make sense when it was tied back to Strato. I really liked Cora though out the story and had a good head on her shoulders. She was likeable and relatable. I liked the way Strato was portrayed and how Cora was the one to change him. I really liked Cora's Dad.
A Consequence Made in Greece is another winner from the incredibly talented Annie West. From the exciting beginning and adventurous middle to the emotional showdown and conclusion I couldn’t put this one down.
Strato Doukis is a man with the fortune but he hide his inner self pretty well. He is masculine and full of attraction and aura. But he feel intimidated when a marine biologist, Cora Georgiou did not show interest towards him.
From there, Strato is curious about Cora and the friendship develops into courtship. Cora wants to know about his past but he quickly shut it off. When she dropped a bombshell, Strato was furious and trying to cut her off. Cora knew and convinced him to move forward from his past. She peeled his past like an onion, layer by layer.
I am falling in love with this story because both of them are very mature in dealing with conflicts and the courtship are natural. There is nothing overdone yet I feel it is fun to explore Cora which is a feminist that blend well with an egoistic man like Strato. Plus, the cameo of Damien and Stephanie made my day! Yay!
Thanks for the advance copy and if I feel delighted to read more on your future works.
P/s: The advance copy that I got from author and review made based on my honest opinion.

In my top ten books of the year and probably my favorite Annie West books so far that she has written! Strato Doukas is handsome, wealthy beyond measure, has a woman or two in his bed every night, but he is bored. Something is missing, he just doesn't know what. Cora Georgiou is a beautiful marine biologist who has given her career up to take care of her ailing father. The two meet and sparks fly. Strato makes a deal with Cora, he will fill their hotel with guests if she will spend a month with him on his yacht. She says yes, and they spend a wonderful time getting to know each other. Strato realizes what he has been missing in his life and Cora knows she has fallen for him too. When she finds out she's pregnant, and tells him, his reaction is that, to me makes this story so special. Cora fights for her child, her love for him. You will love the way this one ends.
It was ok, I did like heroine and that she came across as strong but not bitchy. I would have liked hero if the beginning scene wasnt included in the book. I quite dislike playboy's and especially ones that sleep with multiple women at once. The hero had 2 women on his yacht and I assume he slept with them seeing as he had been on the yacht with them for a week and his purpose in inviting them was for sex (he sent them away because he was bored and no longer interested). It grosses me out that he went straight from them to heroine (luckily there was 2 weeks between him sleeping with heroine and those other women). I did like that once he met heroine he was only interested in her and didnt have the urge to get back to his partying and 2 women at once lifestyle. P.

Thank you Annie for the opportunity to read an advance copy of your clearest book.
Loved the story from beginning to end. A love story between a hero suffered a tragedy at a very young age that he outlook relationships and heroine who strong and intelligent and determined to get her man.
Set in and around the Greek islands, they fell in love and found their happy ever after.
Also liked that it touched on domestic violence which is a huge problem especially in Australia.
Once again a wonderful story by Annie West.

This book was a wonderful, romantic, Harlequin read. Annie West takes us on an adventure in Greece with Cora Georgiou and Strato Doukas. Strato is used to getting what he wants when he wants it. When he laid eyes on Cora he arranged for them to spend time together. The nice thing was that even though Cora had been arranged to be with Strato she didn't let him be in control all the time. She knew what she wanted, and what she didn't. Plus, I liked that she wasn't waif or model thin. Cora had an hourglass figure and knew what worked for her. Their relationship was very combustible.
i don't know what to think about this story, there are some parts that i like there are some i dont. The hero was bored and he wanted the heroine, he kinda manipulated her to be with him but the feeling was always mutual even though the heroine was denying him. she got pregnant, but he had a vasectomy he didn't believe her. she left.
This book in one word Wonderful! It had everything I want in a book. It was fun , sexy , and great ending. I didn't want to put it down. The description of the island and area makes you want to dive in the water. What a lovely summer read!
I love Annie’s books and this ticked all the boxes. The relationship between Strato and Cora had a good level of 🔥heat and there was a nice surprise too! I didn’t want the story to end. A perfect get away read whilst in lockdown.
I am having a break from Regency novels at present and enjoyed this book greatly. It is well written, the storyline is good and the momentum of the story is maintained well…it kept my interest throughout. The length is as I prefer.
I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of this stunning romance. This might be one of Annie West's boldest romances, it will take your breath away! I really loved the strong heroine, Cora.
Always love a good romance with some angst. Love both the characters in this book and wasn't prepared at all for the twist in the hero's backstory. Great read.
