Twelve Nights by Nicole Strycharz is a must read during the holiday season. It is filled with everything we want in historical Christmas movies but never get.
Two childhood friends stuck in a predicament hatch up a plan that would solve both their problems. Everything seems to be going well until one of them is left at the altar.
I felt this book in my soul. Just imagine your mind after being left at the altar. The Hate for the other person is real.
This book in written in a dual pov, which in my opinion is what makes this such a lovely story. We get to see the whole picture as the reader and know what ultimately made the characters do what they did.
Ms. Strycharz added a picturesque twist by adding a traditional holiday carol and bringing it to life in a story filled with color, heartbreak, hope and the magic that is Christmas.
I highly recommend this friends to enemies to lovers with a twist of Christmas and a lovely artistic spin of that holiday Carol we are all familiar with.
Although this is marketed as a Christmas story, I think it can be read anytime we need to remember what it is that we truly love about the Christmas holiday. At the end of this tale, your heart will feel full and complete.
Ms Strycharz has long been one of my go to authors and she never disappoints.
This book is quite simply, perfection. From the delightful cast of characters, to the cleverly constructed story-line, to the settings. I lost myself in a Victorian era Christmas... twice.
Twelve Nights contains all the elements of a seasonal romance but is delivered in a refreshing, humorous, poignant and memorable way. It is the kind of story which will captivate and enchant, long after the Christmas decorations are safely packed away! Easy 5 stars!
It's no secret I've been a long time fan of Nicole and when I realized I hadn't read one of hers, I jumped at the chance. This was the perfect story to kick off the Holiday season. It's the perfect length, beautiful amount of spice and romance, peppered with loss and love. Everyone dreams of a Hugo of their own but not everyone gets one. So if your longing for a beautiful romance to kick off the Holiday romance journey this season, this is the one. Come get you a Hugo!
