The Space-Time Conundrum is exactly as promised. A time traveling mystery in space.

Captain Quasar has a problem. His consciousness keeps jumping around through time. One minute he's in the present then the next he's inhabiting his own past self as he relives some of his worst life choices.

I actually think this plot was really well thought out. The time hops were done very smoothly and the events actually do connect into a coherent storyline. (Just ignore the board with the push pins and the red yarn behind me.)

Captain Quasar, however snarky and funny he may be, was a bit of a jerk. He was over confident and thought way too much of himself. He also learned a huge lesson over the course of this novel. I will be curious to see if it sticks with him in future books. Quasar is kind of a mix of James Kirk from Star Trek, Dylan Hunt from Andromeda, and the President of the Galaxy from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. More a stereotype than a character. But again, I am curious to read further just to see if this space time adventure actually changed him any.

The part of this book that won me over, was the ending. It was humorous, exciting, unexpected, and well anything else would be spoilers.

*I received a free ebook of this story for the purposes of review. My opinions are my own and are given honestly and willingly.*

Absolutely loved it! This is great read!

This book had me hooked on the first page. The ongoing daily lives of Captain Bartholomew Quasar and his intrepid crew. This is time jumping at its best. In other time jumping books I have read by other authors, it's been difficult for me or just wearysome to me to follow the storyline to its conclusion, but with this book it was surprisingly easy and actually a lot of fun! The captain of the Effervescant Magnitude is bounced around in time, trying to change certain mistakes that have cost the lives of two of his crew, but things dont go as planned, in fact, they go staggeringly wrong for him and his loyal crew.

This story is full of very well written drama and action, with humourous asides, which kept me smiling all the way to the end. Well worth a read. Definitely a new favourite book series of mine. Milo James Fowler is a name to watch for fun and interesting stories, that have lots of twist, turns, and squiggly bits happening in all directions. I can't wait to read the next book in the set!

Simply terrible

I don’t even know where to begin criticizing this book. I don’t shy away from political incorrectness, but this book is cringeworthy on many levels. And dumb, too. It’s not funny, unless you like juvenile humor and you can’t place a ‘sun barrier’ over a planet. That would be tantamount to a nuclear winter, and the flora and fauna on the planet would die off. Pretty much everything about this book is bad. Even the protagonist isn’t someone you can cheer for.

I got through this eventually. It had its moments of "humor" but to hype it as "funny" is a bit of an overstatement. Lots of weird, strange, space creatures, a Capt. that needs to take some lessons from Capt James T. Kirk, and a side kick that may or may not be a living person/creature. I like Sci-Fi a lot, but I don't think I'll opt for the second book unless they give it to me for free.

Just me

I must be a real sourpuss. I gave up 75% in. Funny? About as funny as a train timetable. Some people loved it, I hated it, one of the less than a dozen books I have ever stopped reading as a waste of my time.

A space opera with a Firefly feel. I sometimes got disoriented in the timeline due to the time travel and forgot when I was! A fun, tongue-in-cheek, light read. I received a free copy of this book with no obligation.

It was sometimes hard to follow, the way it keeps going between past, present and alternative past storylines. I probably will not read the sequel, I liked the characters but not enough to read the next book. I did not find anything about the book funny.

Captain Quasar is in charge of the earth vessel sent to explore space. After a freak accident, Quasar finds himself jumping through time, trying to change the past and interrupting the future. Good book, hard to follow at first but comes together for a fun journey through space.

Lost interest in it. It's not particularly funny, at least not to me. Maybe it's a generational thing.

I was looking forward to reading this book, but it ended up being a struggle to get through, but I did it. It had one or two humorous moments, but overall, boring.
If they offered the second book for free, I might read it just to see if it gets better, but I would
Not pay money to find out.
