You love and hate it at the same time. I read the original main story and the sequel. The way the author always keeps the Fox’s personality and behaviour consistent is very impressive and also beneficial for the plot but not for the FL Sana. It’s a very tragic story; and you shouldn’t read it if you’re easily disgusted or unable to handle gore (trust me, a lot of explicit themes. A LOT.), but if you pull through the story only gets better from the beginning to the ending with an amazing improvement in art style in the sequel.

The character improvement (or worsening) is really amazing to see and in the end, it’s all clear that in the face of death we’re all the same.

It’s also really hard to see just who exactly the antagonist of the story is as there are so many factors that influence on another in a good way of course, as the victim slowly turns into the creature she loathes the most.

And to be honest, if this were to be placed in history with the red fox as a myth, it could’ve as well been true as the history was so detailed and accurately written for something that could’ve happened in old times.

But it is simply just a tragedy with some philosophy sprinkled on it (What do we define as love? What makes us human?) and it was surprisingly good. Seriously probably one of the best manhwa I’ve ever read until now because it’s so well written.

The good and bad thing is that all characters are someone you could hate; with the main antagonist being the Red Fox, who is really just a horrible creature and yet the author successfully makes side-characters as well as the reader sympathise with him simply because he “isn’t human and doesn’t understand emotions”.

Good read. Would recommend but definitely not for the general public as it is very explicit and extreme with themes of incest, a lot of murder, apathy, child killings, etc.

In my opinion there were a few chapters with unnecessary E-rated scenes with only those scenes as content without adding anything to the story but ignoring that it was a good read. Not enjoyable but good nonetheless.

As a yandere lover (in media) this is a full black flag manhwa ⚫️🏴‍☠️

Dark. Depressing. Gore. Obsession. Many many many heavy topics and trigger warnings I won’t list because I’m too afraid of forgetting any 😅

Some people find the red illustrations to be difficult to read, but I found the art to be beautiful and unique. I love when artists aren’t afraid of doing something different, especially in the world of Manhwa where there tends to be a trend of having only one sort of love interest or lead female look or characterization.

I loved this story because I am fascinated by the topic of a creation without humanity and their interactions within the confines of it. How would they act? Do they know how to love? What are their morals? The loneliness of one without the emotions of humanity is just so interesting to me.

It’s definitely NOT for everyone and I wouldn’t recommend it for just anyone, because this isn’t a happy story and it’s not for the faint of heart. But I enjoyed it and its sequel throughly 😅

Full review coming in June.

notes: ouch. Warning! eye strain while reading this.

Everything is in striking reds, blacks, & whites. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an original concept and I love it, BUT you’ll have eye strain unless u read in Dark Mode/ reduce whites or turn ur screen from blue light to yellow. Once you’re not hurting your eyes, it becomes all the more enjoyable because you really get the mood of the story. . . also the murders aren’t quite as bad as if it were in black n white.

Story:
Male (red fox) yandere + beloved princess

a bloody great read with maaaany casualties.

A story about a kitsune and his, uh, violent tendencies, mixed with Sana. It started as a romantic love story then quickly turned into a monster-horror genre. Main fellow eats humans. Loneliness though isn’t just limited to us weak humans, so after centuries, he’s wanting some love.... and wow. The bad things happen and they just keep on....

A monster who eats babies livers, or adults but apparently fresh is best.... I adore this creepy manga! It’s still being translated into english. Therefore, I am currently stuck on chapter 43. But as it progresses, I’ll be updating my review.
