Waffles the Chicken wants to fly and he is convinced if he believes hard enough (& can start high enough) that it will happen.

Kids ages 2- 6 are going to love Waffles, with his no-can't-do attitude and his superhero clothes. His clever solutions and persistence will even have parents cheering him on. The colorful delightful barnyard animal illustrations will keep little ones entranced and coming back for more.

Really fun and very kid friendly

My daughter who is very hard to please . Loves these series. It's now her favorite whenever we are choosing books this is what she ask for. From a parenting POV I love the underlying messages and what it teaches kids. Kindness, patience, determination and so much more. I love them. The illustrations are wonderful as well

This book is Waffles at his best. There is a very real moral that is taught by Waffle's Mother. The illustrations are delightful. Ken Matthews and Ashley Matthews take one childhood wish and makes it what your kiddo has dreamt about. I highly recommend this whole series because Waffles is a Champion to the Barnyard.

I recommend this book for any kids to never give up. And if they think they can’t do things you can just ask your friends for ideas.

1-day Waffles (Rooster) decided he want to learn to fly.
He adjusted his googles, put on his cape & climbed on his box.
A dog just laughed; Waffles was flat on the ground.
The farm animals looked on as Waffles was about to leap from the top of the barn.
Pig tried to explain to Waffles chickens can’t fly.
At the end of the day Waffles went home to his mother Hen.

Will Waffles ever learn to fly.

I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) zoo animal adventure storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s zoo animal movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

Ok - so if you know me well, you know I have chickens! So we got them last year and each one of us got one chicken. I found a little Bantam that I fell in love with and named him Waffles! Waffles turned out to be a Rooster! So imagine how surprised when I found this series on amazon - a book about a rooster named Waffles - what! So beyond that crazy fact - these books are so cute! They each have an underlying lesson to teach. My 3 year old actually sat and listened to me reading it and was so engaged. I will definitely be ordering more!
