Get Witch Quick

Rate this book
Life is good for Nora Wildes. She is dating the man of her dreams and is almost done with her witch studies. After a busy week, they are settling in for a date night on the couch…but someone’s at the door. Don’t you think your mom should call first?

Everything starts to spiral downwards as Nora learns that her stepdad isn’t quite the man she thought he was. With her parents’ marriage on the rocks things aren’t looking good for her mom, but you know what they say, half of all marriages end in divorce – how many end in murder?

The police have a witness saying that Nora’s mom was at a crime scene and it’s not looking good. There seems to have been a motive and an opportunity, can Nora prove that her mom isn’t a murderer?

Meanwhile Nora’s talking cat familiar, Quin, is convinced that the town of Sucre has been infiltrated by a huge crime organization using garbage trucks to smuggle criminal goods. Nora thinks his head is full of ideas from too much TV, but it looks like he might be onto something…

As Nora and Ryan hunt for evidence that points to the real criminal they uncover corruption, lies and a get-rich-quick scheme that is ruining lives. Can they save the day? Is Nora’s mom being framed for something she didn’t do? Is Quin actually right about something?

Nora is surprised by her mother's visit to her house. Nora finds out that her mother and step-dad had a huge fight. Nora gets a call from her father about her mother. Nora decides to take her mother to bakery. She gets a call saying that her step-father is in town looking for her. Nora finds out he went to a flower shop. Nora finds Jesse is dead on the floor and that her mother was there. Nora finds out just what Jesse was involved in as she tried to clear her mother's name. Nora finds evidence that Quin just might be right in his theory. Nora is in a rush to find out who killed her step-father before her mother is sent to jail.

This was very fast-paced book that involves more than just magic. Nora and Ryan will work together to get to the bottom of everything that is going on. It is bigger than either of them even know. Nora and Ryan relationship gets stronger and has the sweetest moment.

Nora and Ryan plan on a quiet evening in until her mother shows up and next thing you know, her step-father is murdered, her mom is a suspect, the mob is in town and there is a pyramid scheme robbing the townspeople. With the help of Ryan, his magic as well as his lawyer background, Nora seeks the truth so they can get her mom out of hot water. The storyline is filled with surprises, twists and sub-plots. The bond of family and friends is strong. Loved her cat familiar and all his ideas, especially about the garbage trucks. Cats do like to go through the garbage, so guess he was watching the trucks fairly close. The characters were well detailed and interacted great. Can not wait for the next scheme gone wrong story.

Nora discovers that not all dangers are strictly physical. Emotional and financial welfare are issues to

She gets an unhappy surprise when her mom shows up - trouble in paradise with her stepdad. Mom is not st all kind upon arrival.

Beau Ryan seems to be keeping very busy with work as a lawyer. His magic skills are also useful in a pinch too

A tangled pyramid scheme is uncovered that has swept up friends and neighbors in its wake

A tricky mess to sort for her mom - Nora sorting out her own heart is nearly as tricky

Talented and acerbic cat familiars, ok working relationship with an ex, and more than s few murderous thugs make for a fun and magical cozy

Framed for murder and criminal trash haulers? That certainly is an interesting way to start your day.

This is book nine in the series, but it works just fine as a standalone. You will be missing some character background, but nothing essential to the plot.

This is cozy witch mystery series with a dose of romance thrown in. The story is very well written and easy to read, but there are several twists to the central mystery which keeps things interesting. The characters are also well developed and fun. This one had some truly unique twists that just added tot he fun. Overall, I found the book to be highly enjoyable and look forward to reading more in the series.

Highly recommended.

I so love this series. I had read one book previously in this series and had to go back to the beginning and I am so glad that I did. Great series with awesome characters, enjoyable story lines and all around highly entertaining. Each book can be read as a stand alone, but the storyline is progressive so it is best to read in order.

Written as a 1st person, single pov with a completed mystery ending.

Another great read in this wonderful series! Witch Nora Wildes is surprised to see her mother on her doorstep. Seems she is having some marital problems. When her stepfather Lee is found murdered, it looks like Nora’s mom is the prime suspect. With the help of her cat familiar Quin, and her magical boyfriend Ryan, Nora investigates a pyramid scheme in the hopes of clearing her mother. Love the characters and the storyline.

With lots of twists and turns, interesting hints and sub-plots, and whole lot of crazy incidents, this book was very interesting and quirky. With a murder that put's Nora's mom in the seat of the prime suspect, it's time once again for Nora to don her investigator shoes and start hunting.

Over all very engaging and entertaining. Loved Nora's familiar.

What a messed up scheme! And who is actually involved, who was forced, who is the killer? So many questions and such a great book! Quin is still the funniest character ever. I loved the ending so much! I can’t wait for the next book.

Book 9 in the series doesn’t disappoint!

Naturally there’s a mystery to solve with lots of Quin being Quin! Lots of drama to get us to the ending and what an ending!
Loved this book as expected but sad to know I’ve only one more to read in the series.

Nora's mother turns up at her doorstep, having left her stepdad, Lee, which is bad. Nora's Dad calls to say that Lee rang him to ask for a lot of money, claiming that her mother had squandered it all, which is worse. But when the florist calls the police, saying that Nora's Mum had stabbed Lee in the shop, that was the very worst.

Another fast paced exciting adventure with Nora, Quinn and Ryan. Great fun read - witches, cats familiars and murder, magic, romance and mayhem - how can it get any better?
