Bray knows what he wants: a sweet, pliant omega who will bear him an alpha heir. But he doesn’t want one now. He’s too young to settle down and just wants to have fun and play. That’s why hooking up with Kean is perfect, even if the beta doesn’t come close to what Bray is usually attracted to.
Kean thought he could keep things casual with Bray, but when he starts yearning for more, Bray makes it clear he’s not interested. When Ruari, a single-dad omega, arrives on the ranch with his baby, Kean instantly connects with him. He breaks things off with Bray to pursue Ruari, leaving the alpha confused and angry. But even though Ruari reciprocates his feelings, Kean can’t get Bray out of his mind. Ruari doesn’t hesitate when he and his baby are offered a safe place at the PTP ranch. He’s in desperate need of support, especially after he finds out he has the Melloni gene. Meeting Kean makes him want to stay, even though he’s scared his father will find him. But when Ruari runs into the alpha-father of his baby, things get complicated fast.
Bray, Kean, and Ruari try to figure out where they each fit as sparks fly, tempers rise, and a stubborn beta and an equally sassy omega prove to be more than a match for a slightly arrogant alpha. Meanwhile, they and their fellow pack members have to take a stand against a rising threat to the pack. When trouble comes, the pack fights back, but it won’t come without a cost.
Alpha’s Pride is an MMM mpreg romance and the fourth book in the continuing Irresistible Omegas series. All books need to be read in order and are not stand alones. The love story between Bray, Kean, and Ruari ends on a soft cliffhanger in this book and will continue in the next book.
Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?
The short? You got it.
I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.
How was that?
A little more detail? Gotcha.
I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.
My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.
Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

I would’ve loved to give this book five stars because I genuinely loved the featured love story in this one so so much —it was juicy af and right up my alley.
⇢ Bray: alpha, head of security, son of Grayson, unknowingly Ruari’s baby daddy
⇢ Kean: beta, brother of Palani and Rhene, Bray’s casual lover
⇢ Ruari: omega, has the Melloni-gene, got pregnant during an anonymous heat-service provided by Bray
When Kean and Ruari discover their deep connection their strong minds are set on one goal: bring down the pride of their fated mate. Their alpha. Bray. —and make him see they belong together, all three of them. I FUCKING LOVED THIS! I think regardless of my rating these guys are my fav characters/pairing yet.
But there were also a lot of things happening and talked about that bugged the f* shit out of me. And what was it with all the drama-lama and drama-queens in this book? (esp in the first half) I also found that besides the new featured love-triangle this book went waaay too much into the private business of the relationships from before. It was too much. I wanted Bray, Kean and Ruari. But I got so much from the 7 other characters who already had their spotlight that I couldn’t help my eyes rolling hard whenever the POV changed to one of the others.
In the end it still was a great addition to the series and the overarching plot nonetheless and I can’t wait to see how the relationship between Bray, Keane and Ruari progresses further in the next book that is also mainly theirs.
this for sure is my favorite book of the series so far. not only do i absolutely adore kean, ruari and bray, but there was just some also great stuff going on behind the scenes too. and speaking of kean, the hightower brothers are perfection and i’ll hear nothing else about it.
i love continuing to get little crumbs about our core four, and i think each book just makes me love them all more. palani will never be topped i fear, but lidon was really shining bright in this book. i love seeing more sweet moments between him and palani as well. and vieno?! during the code red?! almost threw my kindle across the room. so, so proud of him.
but there were also a lot of tense moments throughout this book, and i got the sads real bad from the end.
I would like to start off by saying this was a good book. But it’s super frustrating when this book is suppose to be about 3 characters and they all don’t even all officially meet until 55% in!!! The last book was pretty much the same way too. I get this is a continuing series. But at this point there are way too many characters that are all trying to get screen time. The characters this book is suppose to be about seem to have been shoved into the background for most of the book. I’m not sure I’m going to continue this series. While I love this authors work, I’m over trying to read a book about a couple that’s hardly in it.
4.5 stars Fans of this series will know that these books are more about the Hayes Pack as a whole, and slightly less about the unfolding A/B/O romances, though they are still an integral part. Told through multiple POV's the complex plot weaving through the entire series unfolds through each book, like layers of an onion.
But I will admit this one started a bit "off" for me because in the prologue we are introduced to Bray, an alpha of the Hayes pack who we have seen mostly in the background until now. And it turns out...he's an arrogant dick. So much so, that I thought this book started off as any other generic book with an alpha-male arsehole character out for a f**k and not interested in love. And by what happens it's pretty easy to guess part of what's going to go down later in the story. After the previous books I was a little underwhelmed and disappointed in this beginning. But...like layers of that onion, it all came together and I did grow to like him by the end but it was slow going. But his mates, Kean and Ruari, are great from the start.
The romance aside, this book is another great addition the to Hayes Pack saga. With hearty glimpses of Lidon and his mates, plus Greyson and his boys, the suspense quickly ramps up to a great climax where truths are found out and the Pack comes more into its own.
I devoured this book. And while it ends the on a "to be continued..." its more of a place holder for the next book than a frustrating anti-climax. And for fans of romance, this one may not be what youre looking for with a just barely won HFN. But I think that's why I enjoy this series, its unexpected and different.
3.5 enjoyed it stars!! ❤️ I am enjoying the ensemble characters and overall story more than some of the in-focus pairs/threesomes.. Nevertheless, Bray, Keane and Ruari had a very interesting dynamic and I'm interested in seeing them settled and happy. Onto the next! 👍
“It may not be easy for a while, but the most valuable things in life never are.
If there’s one thing I have learned, it’s that. Everything beautiful and wonderful in my life has taken struggle and tears to achieve or acquire.”
Much, much better than the previous one, and I think it is due to the fact that the couple - well, actually the throuple's story is continuing into the next one - allowing for them to have more time for their relationship to develop.
“I want someone who sees me as his equal, and the truth is that you don’t. Not in bed, not in conversations, not in any social situation. You are the alpha, and you always let me feel that.”
Not that it exactly needs to - all things considered - but to also then see Bray's newfound dynamic with Kean tested and then forged in a more understanding and appreciative way, rather than that just of lust-attraction - for him to change his old-pack alpha views about what it means to be an alpha and how to treat and behave around a beta and omega will be worthwhile to see. 😒 Because an Alpha's Pride really is about learning to be more humble about the position that they are in; that their role and status does not earn them the right to be the one in charge and expect others to simply bow down to them. That it's not only about having a submissive omega to bear him an heir - when he feels the time is right. And despite Kean's obvious attraction and chemistry with him, it was cathartic of Kean to stand up for himself - that it is okay to want a healthy relationship rather than just a means to get off in a casual hookup. To assert his own dominance in their relationship and then, also have Ruari realize how important it is for Bray to accept that, as well - if they're ever going to have a future. 😥
And once they get their act together, I do think their dynamic is on route to a really supportive and sweet one. 🥰 Well, even before the truth comes out - I did like them - well, Bray not so much, but he has his reasons for being a douche. I liked Kean for his stubbornness in not just accepting that because he is a beta, he can't have feelings or desire and Ruari for his challenging and defiant spirit in not just protecting his baby, but his own heart, too. 'It was crazy fast, but he loved him, and now, it was time to conquer his alpha’s heart.' 🥺 They were immediately drawn to one another and realized that without Bray, their triangle of love was not complete. It takes a lot of patience and steady realization, but when it clicks with Bray how wrongly he behaved with both of them - it has the makings of being a really fruitful and beautiful relationship.
It certainly is not easy to divide the time between an ever-growing pack, but I think the author did a much better job this time around allotting the certain time frames to each respective relationship. 👌🏻👌🏻 Political threats and the threat of danger target the safe haven they're trying to create for themselves, but through their own force of nature and power of love - yes, you have no idea how so - they do rise to the occasion. 🐺🐺 It was a bit drawn out at those moments, as we got into the political and legal aspects of certain parts, but once it shifted (pun intended!) back to the pack - I was more invested. Especially when Lidon's libido is a prime de facto of concern for everyone nearby - hence Ruari spouting the best line ever - 'What is this, a pack or some kind of sex club?' 😆 Since everyone is so comfortable about their desires - it does get a bit hard to rein in all those emotions and raging hormones, so I didn't blame Ruari to be caught off-guard at first, till he accepted that this was simply their way of showing how much trust and unity existed in this sanctuary - something he had been missing his whole life.
“It was all of this, plus the peace in his soul of feeling safe and loved and at home.”
I adored the three omega's friendship - like, honestly, it is impossible not to smile when Sven, Ruari and Vieno are with each other, because they know it is not easy for them, but together they can make a difference. ❤️🩹❤️🩹 Vieno is such a sweetheart - it's not only that he's a recent father, but just caring for Sven and Ruari's concerns, the simple moments of them bonding and sharing their own experiences and worries - it felt like he finally had someone to unburden himself with, which was really sweet. And then, uff, that ending with the babies! 😟 Cue protective mama wolf in full rage more - in more ways than one! Loved how the author heightened the action and the foreboding tension - it felt palpable, as well as the unease that change was coming! And that's another thing! 👏🏻 As their instincts evolve, so too does their inner survival fight mode, and their inner chemistry starts to take shape, too.
And yes, of course, we do get to see the OG quartet - in a bit of a limited capacity, but still enough to show that they are still facing challenges - both to protect those that they're letting in, as well as their own relationship status. A shocking reveal towards the end about the nature of Vieno's baby was a startle - even to me! 😲 - but, it was a promising one - 'the intimacy, the deep sense of calm and peace his alpha had when he held him.' I do have a soft corner for Palani - 'His proud and strong beta, never scared to tell him the truth', so seeing him is always a treat. Plus, how indebted and drawn Lidon is towards his second-in-command is really hawt to see!
“And as he drifted off to sleep between his two men, with a baby’s quick breaths in the corner of the room, Kean vowed that he would love them for all eternity.
Because he did.”
The plot is thickening in not just the love department, and paths are being paved for future liaisons, so there is hope still yet. Besides, it does end on a tentative, but soft HFN, especially since the threat has not quite been eliminated just as yet. So, whatever danger awaits Lidon and his evolving pack - I guess, it is too late in the game to back out just yet. ☺️
Overall, this was another great addition to the series.
I would have rated this higher if it weren't for that disgusting scene in which Vieno made these awful remarks about Lidon who was hurt and reacted the way I think most people, given the circumstances, would have. The way his mates disregarded his feelings was disgusting. Apparently, Vieno is allowed to hide what he's going through even if it makes everyone else feel uneasy but Lidon isn't allowed to leave a hurtful situation and a give himself time to reflect.
What he had to do in order to gain their forgiveness was ridiculous, considering he is the pack alpha, and I was so angry I had to take a break from reading because for a while I couldn't concentrate on anything else. In the end I just pretended it didn't happen and moved on.
Aside from that, the featured relationship between Kean, Ruari, and Bray wasn't given the same emotional buildup as the two previous relationships so it felt less authentic. While I liked all three characters I couldn't really connect with Kean or Ruari. We are given a minimun amout of background information on Ruari and even less on Kean. In fact, aside from knowing Kean is Palani's older brother and was in school to become a veterinarian I really didn't know anything else about him. I was already familiar with Bray from the last story so I guess I connected him the most.
I'm still heavily invested in the overarching story so I absolutely plan to continue the series. 3.75 stars, rounded up to 4.
I give up, this series sucks... all the romantic relationship are virtually the same thing, there are too many sex scenes and we keep getting POV's from previous book's characters.. the only redeeming quality, and the reason I persevered until book 3, was that the world building was interesting, but it is not enough to make me trudge through seven more books.
This is one of the better Mpreg series, with depth, sweetness, and steamy scenes. I found the first several books quite interesting (I quit after book five). However, I dislike the fact that the MCs share their books with other characters. Relationships are rushed and much is told rather than shown.
Ongoing plot threads, including the original foursome from book one, continue through the series. The books must be read in order.
My biggest complaint is the lack of character descriptions. I didn't have a clear picture of anyone or anything. This pet peeve of mine had me feeling irritated while reading.
MCs: Bray (alpha), Kean (beta), and Ruari (omega).
☹️ I was not happy with the scene where Vieno, suffering from postpartum depression, talks cruelly to Lidon. Lidon, feeling hurt, shifts and runs off. When he returns, he's criminalized for leaving and not staying to discuss his feelings. The strong alpha has to grovel to regain his mates’ approval, which felt unfair and made him seem weak.
Vieno endured PPD for weeks without anyone knowing, yet he wasn’t judged for it. So, why wasn’t Lidon allowed even a day to process his emotions? I found that part unsatisfactory. 😡
I've started and failed to finish this series twice. My interest waned as the series continued and the plot became too convoluted with many characters, their stories and various subplots. 😵💫 I prefer simpler stories that are easier to follow and remember.
I just can't find interest in this series anymore.
This book is supposedly about Bray, Kean, and Ruari but that's a lie. The last book focused too much on the foursome (way more than just updates on how they're doing - we spent probably half the book in their POVs) and the exact same thing happened in this one. However, it also added spending a lot of time in Grayson, Lars, and Sven's POVs. So guess how much time we actually spent with the MCs of this book? PRACTICALLY NONE. Ruari and Bray hadn't even officially met until 53%!!!
On top of that, I frankly do not understand or care anymore about the CWP/AWC subplot and political drama. It's too convoluted to remember if you don't binge the series and sucks up the little time that's left for the supposed romance part of the plot.
I don't care that these three are the MCs of the next book too. Why does each couple need to get two books? Is it because we spend too much time in other POVs unnecessarily?
Took me a long time to warm to Bray I have to admit, but this series is continuing at a pace, giving us details about shifter history, probable genetics and news about the Melloni virus and more. 4.5 stars.
Lidon and his 3 mates welcome their little one into the world; Grayson and his two boys also have news which shakes Bray [actually my tablet changed that to Brat...so if the cap fits 😉] to the core and Palani's older brother Kean discovers that he too is a fated mate 🐺.
Discussions with the leader of the Wolf Party prove that somehow they know about the attack on the pack AND Lidon's ability to shift...but by the end of the story, he is NOT the only one with that ability...and that particular change is brought about by yet another attack on the compound. At least they apprehend the mastermind behind it this time, which shocks one of the newer members of the pack.
The only real issue I had with the story were a number of typos, which is nothing new nowadays unfortunately 😕.
This series just isn't letting up! Once again there is plenty of drama, emotions, danger, sex and romance surrounding the Hayes pack. There are also plenty of surprises as the pack continues to grow and evolve. There is so much happening in each book - there's no way you can read these out of order - but nothing gets overlooked. I'm amazed at how much Nora Phoenix is juggling here with a growing cast of characters and a continuing storyline and I'm enjoying every moment of it.
The newest threesome introduced in this story, Bray (Grayson's alpha son and head of security at the ranch), omega Ruari (who is new to the pack and a wonderful addition) and Palani's beta brother Kean, make for an interesting group. Their story is different from the prior ones and they are much slower to get their act together, in fact, their story will be continued in the next book as we are forewarned in the blurb. We get to know each of the men, but it's Bray who has the most resistance to any involvement and don't get him started on fated mates!
Intertwined with the romance and the lives of the pack members is the continuing mystery/suspense storyline that has been weaving through all the books. With new revelations and discoveries, the tension and danger is once again ramping up. The end of the story is action-packed and left me eagerly awaiting the next book!
I got back to continuing this series and not all too surprising: I still love the things I loved before and I'm still irked by the same flaws as before. It was somewhat expected, but really: The blurb about the new threesome in this story only covers about a third of the book, because the rest of the story is taken up by the MCs of the previous books - and let me tell you: ten different points of view are far too much to enjoy any one of them in particular. I can somewhat appreciate the underlying suspense plot moving on and that it has to be done through the eyes of certain key characters, but I tended to get frustrated by all the different relationship drama. And seriously, I've read about as much make-up sex scenes between the first foursome as I can take. That being said, I really loved the newly introduced characters and I would have loved to learn more about Ruari, Kean and Bray - the last one especially because it's still unknown what happened to form his character like that. I'm hoping for them to get more screen time in the next book, because this again ended without an end. The conspiracy plot moves on and I'm still enjoying the scientific and mythological aspects of the shifter background, so I' always eager to learn more about that. I'll read on and see how it goes!
I must say that this was one of my favorites in the series. I liked the threesome of Kean, Ruari and Bray even though Bray was a bit unlikable throughout most of the story. He did turn himself around though in the end. Kean and Ruari, I liked from the beginning. What I love about this series is that we still get to see things from the previous matings as well as the current one. It allows us to see what is going on their lives and makes the story more interesting.
Overall, a really good book. One I found very entertaining. I’m really interested to see where the author takes it from here.
I liked the overall story but was dissatisfying in the romance area of the current relationship of Bray, Kean, and Ruari. It was good to know about previous relationships of Lindon and his three guys and their new baby plus Grayson and his two boys BUT THAT CAUSED LESS LIMELIGHT ON THE CURRENT GUYS. ALMOST NO ROMANCE BETWEEN BRAY AND RUARI. I loved all three guys individually but together the author could have created a sizzling chemistry like in previous books but failed miserably. :'( 2.5 stars
I loved this book, it was focused intensely on the multiple dynamics of the relationship between Bray, Kean and Ruari and how their interactions would have a wider implication on the pack as a whole.
The series itself has managed to keep the fine line between being too much involved with the sexual aspects of each set of partners and the wider narrative which is introducing a new type of wolf shifter.
Holy cow. Nora Phoenix has created such a complex, fascinating world with her Irresistible Omegas series, and it gets even more intriguing with each book. I love how cohesive and competent everyone on the ranch is becoming as a pack. I enjoy getting more of our foursome, as well as Grayson and his boys, in this book. I really admire how Nora is able to not only give us a whole new pairing (or in the case of this series, poly more than pairing), but can do so while still incorporating the previous MCs, so that instead of it feeling like a bunch of somewhat connected books in one world, it feels like the universe is just expanding to incorporate the new MCs in with the old. I have no idea if that makes sense to anyone but me, but I read a hell of a lot, and I can tell you that there IS a difference... in a way I love.
Onto this book specifically without giving spoilers... (not as easy as it sounds!)
Bray.. the stubborn alpha! Oh god, I wanted to throttle him several times throughout this book, but towards the end I saw the side of him I have been waiting to come out since we met him. I ADORE Kean.. like, a ridiculous amount. I suppose I should not be surprised by that, as he is Palani's brother and Palani is my absolutely favorite. Well, and Enar. Maybe I have a thing for the betas of this world? Ruari stole my heart instantly as well, as did little Jax. The situation between these guys is awkward at times (totally justified awkwardness), but towards the end we finally get to see them bloom more as a unit and I can't wait to see how their relationship develops in the next book.
And the return of the wolf shifters?! SIGN. ME. UP.
I am here for the rest of this series. The wait might kill me, but that should tell you how wonderful and addicting these books are. If you have not read the previous books in the series, I *strongly* suggest you start with book 1. There is so much going on that you really want to be there from the beginning to understand it. And if you are not a fan of mpreg, take a chance on this series anyway. It just might surprise you.
This book continues the story of the Hayes pack.. The pack is growing with the birth of the Alpha heir. The ties between the pack are strong. The main relationship of this story centre around Bray, an arrogant alpha who is not easy to like, Ruari, an omega new to the pack, and Kean, a beta who is confused about his feeling for both men.
"He didn't do feelings, or at least, he never had. Clearly, that had changes because fuck knew he had plenty of feelings now. Messed up feelings, complicated feelings, feelings he couldn't figure out, but they were there all right."
There are so many changes as the pack grows. Plenty of action to keep you fully engaged in the story. I loved seeing more of Lidon and his mates as well as Grayson and his boys. I look forward to the next one. 4.5 Stars
I love Bray. I really do. But yes, he is an alpha asshole and as much as it pained me when everything came to a head about how he's been feeling, it was nice to see not one but 2 people who wouldn't put up with his alpha bullshit. I loved it. My heart broke for him, when it did all come to a head though, because it was obvious for so long, he's been missing something that he's not been getting and he's lost his place in the world. He hadn't found himself. But it took a confrontation with his father and a best friend/beta and an Omega to get through his head. One little bit at a time. And when he finally got it, it was worth it.
phenomenal world building & character development!
This is a paranormal mpreg romance, the fourth book in the series that MUST be read in order! What a fascinating take on the Alpha-Beta-Omega relationship and the mpreg trope on the whole! The first two books were focused around the main Alpha and his mates, but sprinkled through the next two books you get glimpses in the minds of the former leads, sort of like building blocks, the books build on the plots of the others. The author has developed amazing characters who are failable, but tender with their mates. The world-building and plots are phenomenal; I can’t wait to read more!!
Wow, what an action backed story. The relationships really aren't the main focus in this story and it is continued in the next book. But this story really highlights the building of the pack and the accepting that they are creating a whole new way of life. There are problems on many sides and much more to come I'm sure. I listened to the audio version and it was well done and helped to give you the sense of the drama unfolding.
😍 Consigliata 💖💖💖💖💖
