Author T. Novan, has been writing essentially his entire life. His love of the craft and his desire to master the art started young when he won a community creative writing contest at the age of 8 with a short story about how mankind would settle future disputes over a chessboard.
40 years later, he realized that after spending some time as an auto mechanic, police officer and even most recently a chimpanzee keeper it was time to return to the one thing that he simply cannot escape his love of and the need to write.
He is married, with one daughter and three grandchildren and he currently lives about 20 minutes outside Richmond, Virginia where he splits his time between writing and being a 'Gentleman Farmer' on his small family homestead.
After being in semi-retirement for the last few years, TN has reemerged with classic titles like Madam President, First Lady and Words Heard in Silence (Book 1 of the Redmond Family Saga) rereleased for the first time in nearly 15 years. Now he and his writing partner and wife Taylor Rickard, have released Paths of Peace and Enemies in the Gates (Books 2 and 3 in the Redmond Family Saga). They are working on the fourth book in the Redmond series, Honor Thy Father.

5 Stars - Love these people so much!

I have to say, I really enjoyed the journey with this couple and their family. Once I started reading the rest of the books, I could not stop. I just found them and the time and history so interesting. The books are really well written. I feel like I really *know* these people and could walk into Mountain View and greet all the players as if I have known them all my life. The series had me crying multiple times. Some tears of sadness and some of happiness. I look forward to letting some time pass and re-reading the whole thing. :)

Whither Thou Goest
Without the melodramatic effects, this was a page turner
A must read for team Charlie/Rebecca fans

This book contains the continuation story from where our heroes have taken us throughout their relationship. From the moment I started reading their story, I knew I was hooked.

“Whither Thou Goest” time warped me with Charlie and Rebecca back in Virginia. Charlie and Rebecca’s relationship had been solidified to stand the test of time. The author did a particularly good job in creating a parallel to the devotion Charlie and Rebecca have for each other. The author did not lose time in gently leading us in a tragedy early on in the book.

It must also be said that their children’s story was intertwined and elaborated to both a predictable and unpredictable event. As a fan of the Redmond family saga, I was happy to learn more about the Redmond children. It is not hidden that the three eldest children have a definitive role to play. Papa’s girl, Emily, had me so engrossed. She leads a life independently yet grounded to the enrichment of her education.

When a downer story about one of the children was introduced, I can't help but feel the disappointment without hating the character or the context.

I enjoyed reading each of the character eccentricities and their way of interacting with one another. Similarly, Charlie’s faithful horse, Jack, played an important role in a livelier and lighthearted role.

The title itself relates a general idea that Charlie and Rebecca have each other through many challenges. They never fail to impress the importance of a balance relationship and holding each other up.

Without going into too much detail about the plot in the book, this is an incredibly good wholesome story to read.

On a side note: This is the 6th book in the series. I found it interesting that in reading this book I did not find a repetitive paragraphs from the previous books. The story flowed through the passage of time yet it answered some of my questions as far as background story.

WOW

I have read this series so many times, I've lost count. And yet here I find myself wanting the next book now. The story cannot end here. It's an excellent series. It has great characters that you really spend time getting to know. The authors allow this because each character adds to the overall quality of life back then. Each of them teaches us something new.

Charlie and Rebecca are the main characters. Amazing, progressive and supportive individuals. The world needs more people like Charlie and Rebecca.

Can you read these individually? I guess yes because the authors offer a prologue at the beginning of each book. But I wouldn't recommend it. The whole series has a story to tell. It starts with the first word. Now I really need number 7. But I really hope there is never a last word.

It all starts with the American Civil War. And gets better from there.
Seriously...you need to read these books. Brilliant doesn't even start to describe them.

Enjoy!
