Twenty-five invitations to broaden the cultural boundaries and possibly find inspiration for daily life. These seemingly random fragments are the product of many years of exposure and many months of research, combining introspection with investigation, recollections with analysis, and ideas with testimony.
This is a book of the authors favorite things. Short snippets to pick up and read whenever. For me alot of it was over my head. If I didn't already know about the subject, I was lost. It doesnt take the time to teach from scratch. Perhaps if I had the written version, I could have slowed things down and learned better. But what a great idea for a book.
I was gifted an audio version of this book from the author through Story Origin. The narrator does an excellent job. Several of these stories use foreign words and names. Well done. 5 stars.
This is a great book, both in idea and execution, with enough topics to interest any and all types of readers. I loved reading it and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in one of the 25 topics!
This book is very well written and what makes this book enjoyable is that the author gives you the crux about each topic and makes it interesting. It is clear that he has done his homework and is letting everyone in on his adventure.
