Honestly it was just very unrealistic from the start and annoyingly written. The first chapter is off putting. A perfect looking woman (long legs, long eyelashes, perfect breasts, full butt with no cellulite) looks in the mirror admiring how perfect she is, then by looking in the mirror she gets aroused at her OWN reflection. What? Not to mention the bizarre jargon. It doesn’t work.
The amount of adjectives in this book is just insane too. It’s something I’d expect from a high school paper trying to meet a 1000 word count…. not an erotic novel. Here’s an example of the type of writing in this book. “Surveying her round, pert breasts approvingly, April’s glance travelled down to her smooth, flat stomach and her toned thighs before she turned sideways to examine her peach perfect buttocks.”
WHAT??? absolutely nobody on the planet looks like this! Why on earth would you put this in a book? How is that satisfying your readers (who will primarily be women)? Oh man what a mess.

Insatiable is a fabulous combination of lust, love and murder

What a roller coaster read that was! Titillating, intriguing, clever, twisty turney. Read it NOW folks. Thoroughly enjoyable. Very different.

I dislike this book so much. Confusing plot layout. Hate the point of view it’s written from. Too much info about unimportant stuff.

Easy to skim over. Extremely predictable. Nothing but smut, but not even good smut.

April’s return home from university on the summer break is the scene of this book. Meeting her stepmother’s new employees, there have been lots of changes since she was last home, mostly for the better. But there are lots of questions – about her father’s health, her stepmother’s devious plans, her elder stepbrother’s manipulative ways and his attitude to April’s change of heart…

Insatiable is summarised as a book of Deceit, Denial, Desire, Manipulation and Murder. Could be rewritten as either an erotica or a thriller, instead of in its current form as a mix of both. This is an unusual plot of mixed genres, with lots of characters that surely every reader will like most of. There are some errors that may distract a reader but these can be easily remedied by the author.

I award 4.5 stars.

Explosive from the first page! This is definitely a raunchy read but well written with a great twisty plot and characters that you will love to hate! The sub title is ‘Deceit, Denial, Desire, Manipulation and Murder’ and it certainly has all those ingredients. I absolutely HATED Scarlett and Miles and ended up so invested in the other characters. I couldn’t put it down. If you like Gone Girl and Verity I think this book will appeal to you.

It was ok. Lots of lust and deception. A hint of thrill/mystery, but I wasn’t crazy about the writing style. And the main character seems to have a completely different personality from the beginning of the book to the end. Just not very realistic.
