Ascension #4-6

Ascension Series #4-6

Earth’s time is running out!

Sixty years ago, a plan was conceived to help humanity survive its first contact with an alien race. Now it’s time to put that plan to the test. No country can stand alone. The world must unite if there is to be any hope of survival.

The crew of the Athena are investigating an ancient alien signal from beyond the fringes of known space. After months of searching, the Athena is starting to wear down. It’s only a matter of time before a catastrophic failure destroys their ship, but if the crew returns to Earth now, humanity will not survive their first contact with hostile aliens. They must find the source of the signal, and with it, a means to end this war before it has a chance to reach Earth.

I'm al old science fiction reader and more drawn to real life stories, but after reading First Colony I was hooked with Ken Lozito. I must have read First Colony ...well, several times to absorb the parts I initially read too fast. OUTSTANDING SERIES !! Then I progressed to Accession and had my doubts with the addition of weird alien names and cultures but went with the new faith I felt for this author. Again, I was blown away with his character development, the depth of these characters and the lively interactions they had between each other which ramped up as the story unfolded. This series seems to never give you a breathe to recover from any number of situations they find themselves having to cope with and it just demands you to NOT PUT IT DOWN...whew... Highly recommended for any readers because the way Ken writes makes you feel you're not really science fiction at all.

Sci-fi at it’s very best!

When I picked up book-1 of the Ascension series I almost put it down, not being a fan of new earth Sci-fi start-up’s. That would have been a ‘huge’ mistake! Ken Lozito is a talented and gifted writer! His charactors, be they juman or alien are fun to watch grow and developed. This believable series makes a great read for teens through senior’s. The pace is fast as it had to be but so exciting it is hard to put down for any reason. I highly recommend this book to Sci-fi readers everywhere. Laurie Pitts

Excellent series that actually had a satisfying ending

I was a bit dubious when I first started reading this series but was totally satisfied that I wanted to complete the whole series and now I want to read everything Ken Lozito writes.

Strong characters, great story and satisfying conclusion. Now I am a fan.

Highly recommended. Give The Ascension Series a read; you won't be disappointed.

Great read

original, entertaining and very interesting. A whole new take on AI and interstellar relationships. This is tight up there with some of the best science fiction.
