Cultivate intentional faith practices with this 40-day guided journal that features thoughtful reflections from well-known Christian authors, inspirational quotes, and beautiful illustrations designed to set your mind and soul at rest.
The practice of developing intentional faith habits is not a natural tendency. It requires focus, discipline, prayer, and persistence to grow in our walk with God. We may have great intentions, but often the busyness and chaos of everyday life force our spiritual growth to take a back seat. Fortunately, 40 Days of Intentional Living offers both a practical guide and an inspiring resource to deepening your faith.
Divided into eight themes central to the Christian faith—such as hope, joy, surrender, and rest—these 40 devotions draw from the writings of a number of bestselling and beloved authors of faith, including C.S. Lewis, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Martin Luther King Jr., Louie Giglio, Jennie Allen, Mark Batterson, Brennan Manning, Randy Alcorn, and more. Partnered with daily Scripture reading, thought-provoking journal prompts, and practical action steps to encourage you toward a more intentional faith lifestyle, this 40-day resource is the ideal companion for walking through the seasons of Lent and Advent, as well as for use in personal or group study.
Ink & Willow encompasses a line of interactive products that infuse contemplation and inspiration into the regular spiritual practice of creative-minded Christians, wherever they are in their faith journey.
I was gifted with this wonderful book, journal, devotional. It is a gentle guidance, and I am loving it!
I have been using it for a few weeks and enjoying, but now I'm going to be using it during Lent! I can really see my faith growing using this, and am excited to have this as a resource. It is divided into 8 themes with five topics each, Hope, Faith, Suffering, Joy, Surrender, Rest, Generosity, and Love.
One of the beginning pages states: "Teach me and show me your truth this season. May I use what you're teaching me to reach others." and that is exactly what I am hoping for in this journey.
I also love at the end of each chapter there are questions to help you reflect and thus to help me grow in my faith
Thank you Ink and Willow for this gift and a chance to review this book, and the opinions are my own and I was not required to give a positive review.
: This is an easy-to-use paperback book with flaps front and back to keep your place as you make your way through the daily devotions. I liked the introduction where they tell you what to expect, how to use this devotional/study/Journal, and how to create a spiritual journey that works for your lifestyle.
There are 8 headings Hope, Faith, Suffering, Joy, Surrender, Rest, Generosity and Love. Under each heading are sub-headings for example under love there is Sacrificial, Vulnerability, The Love of Jesus, Agape and Reflections of Love. I liked the reflection questions that help you take the topic deeper, giving you time to reflect on what you have read. I liked the pictures that begin each chapter and the quotes by people such as J.R.R. Tolken, John Piper, Katie Davis Majors, Oswald Chambers, David Platt etc. I enjoyed this devotional and I’m excited to be reading this in preparation for Easter.

I am so impressed by the product line of Christian stationery, journals, and other creative resources offered by the company Ink and Willow. The latest item that inspired me from their company is a journal, "40 days of Intentional Living, A challenge to cultivate faith through devotions, journaling, and prayer." I received a copy of this journal as part of the Ink and Willow launch team for an honest review.
When I opened the journal I was charmed. The format is well organized and easy to use. The journal offers a bible verse, a devotion and a page designed to journal thoughts and insights taken from the readings.
I think that I will focus using this journal primarily during the season of lent, beginning next week, but really any time of the year would be a good time to use the journal.
I appreciate the quality and value as well. If you are looking for a way to enhance your spiritual journey through journaling, then explore all the products of the Ink and Willow line at www.InkandWillow,com
40 DAYS of INTENTIONAL LIVING Book Launch Team. The review is my own opinion. I am very impressed with this book. The pictures inside are beautiful and tranquil. Each day is a different subject that includes scripture . There is also a question at the end to go deeper in the study.
The design is well made and easy to take care of. I love that it gives you passages to read and study the Bible with. I found myself wanting to stay on one day for awhile because I didn’t want to rush hearing from God.
This would make a great gift to anyone who loves devotionals or who wants to study a particular subject they may be struggling with. Make sure you grab a copy for yourself and give one to a friend.
I received a copy of this book from WaterBrook & Multnomah Book Launch Team.
This book is beautiful. It’s just the right size to hold. The illustrations are clean and lovely.
The cover says this book is “a challenge to cultivate faith through devotions, journaling, and prayer.” And the book makes that simple to do. Broken into themes, each day contains a subject with scripture to read and pages for journaling. There is also a quote from a well known author. I think this book would be a wonderful gift for someone.
I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a review.
I plan to use my copy of 40 Days of Intentional Living for the upcoming season of Lent, though it can be used any time of the year. The devotional is aesthetically pleasing and well organized. Each week has a different theme and each day has related scripture, a reading, and a journal prompt. This is a great tool to help grow one’s relationship with God.
I received a copy of this devotional from the publisher. I am happy to provide an honest review.
I'm very impressed with this book. Each page is beautifully designed. I love the pictures as well. I have found that its so easy to fit this into my busy schedule. I hadn't used any devotional journals before this, but I am really enjoying this one. I have enjoyed the topics that have been covered so far. I would definitely recommend this book!
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.
DNF at 52%. I didn’t like how each devotion is an excerpt from other writings. I didn’t feel like the message was the same or the beliefs weren’t the same. I felt like every section only resulted in the same conclusions just with different words, so the devotional didn’t help me deep dive into the word with God.
I'm really loving this devotional/journal. I love how it gives the Bible verse for you to look up and not just write it all out. There's also a habit calendar in the back that is helpful.
*Thank you WaterBrook Multnomah for the free copy. All opinions are my own.
This devotional is easy-to-use and well put together. While it can be used any time of the year, I think it would perfectly suite for Lent. The devotional itself is divided by the themes each with a set of topics to bring depth to the readings and questions to give you added food for thought.
Great devotional! I really enjoyed the content, explanations of the topics, and the journal prompts. There were a few journal entries I didn’t complete due to it not be relevant to me. I also really loved the habit calendar and plan to make copies of it to do year round.
Wonderful book filled with inspiration. Book includes areas for journaling thoughts. A great book to give as a gift, too. I received a complimentary copy of the book. No review was required.
