Ahh the more I read of this group of friends I more I love them all!! 🥰
I love Melony’s writing style. I love how she writes from multiple points of view in each book. I really enjoy it and find it exciting to read.🔥
This was mainly about Taylor and Nikki and the gang problem she has but you also learn about Ryan and Ari. ♥️
Nikki ends up needing everyone’s help as a gang is shaking down businesses for protection money. This is all in Ryan’s territory! They finally call him in after Nikki and both her workers end up beaten up by the gang. 😖
At the end Taylor and all the police leave Ryan and his crew to deal with the top guys in this gang, but you don’t know what happens as the book ends!!! I’m worried something bad has or is happening to Ryan!!!!🙈
I will have to get to next next book QUICKLY!! Eeek.

This is a follow on from Be Mine but from Taylor & Nikki's prospective.
We start of with a very emotional and loving time, it's almost
too sickly sweet.
The Arianna & Ryan story line is a lovely addition. I'm very much
with Nikki. That needs to happen. Poor girl certainly needs a strong
protective lover like Ryan.
Wow what an intense ending, got more gripping the further I read.
Another amazing addition.

Protecting Her is the third book in the Crane Family Series by Melony Ann. Set in Chicago we experience Taylor and Nicole’s relationship after they got together during Be Mine. Lieutenant Taylor Reddick is fiercely protective of the love of his life Nicole and their son. When Nicole becomes the target of an emerging gang, Taylor will fight tooth and nail to protect his family.
I loved Taylor’s bravado, his fierce protectiveness, and the glimpse of humility and fear we see in this book. Taylor is similar to other male characters Melony has created, but he is unique in his own way. He tries to do what is right while staying within his limitations unless it comes to Nicole who has already struggled with so much in her life. Nicole has grown dramatically since we saw her in Be Mine. Nicole still struggles with some things from her past, but she has proven herself to have grown in strength from her experiences.
Ryan Crane plays a large role in this book. He is basically the leader of this bunch of people. He is the one who brings these characters together. Ryan has been portrayed as a ruthless, yet caring playboy and we see a different side of him in this book as he struggles with his feelings and a potential relationship. I absolutely LOVE Ryan’s character! Throughout this book, Ryan confesses his love for Arianna who is in danger and he struggles with morality while trying to be the protector he is.
The title Protecting Her seems a perfect fit in this book as we see two couples both in different circumstances. Both Ryan and Taylor want to protect their significant others, and I really enjoyed seeing the different levels of protectiveness one man like Ryan can portray. I am waiting for the next book in this series because it revolves around the progression of Ryan and Arianna’s relationship!

He knew the risks of being the cop but he wasn't prepared for the events that would scar his life forever. On other circumstances he had the chance to meet the love of his life Nicole. Who is his world. The mother of his child. He would do anything for her.
When Nicole gets targeted by an unknown gang in the city he promises that he would do whatever it takes to protect her . He doesn't want to repeat the events of his past. So with every resource and every help he tries to find the details of the threat that seems to be looming around his love. Even after all that he has no luck in finding them. Seeing Nicole loosing herself day by day by the fear of the gang he decides to the unlikely. At last he takes up an very usual path. With the help of one of his close friend's he joins the underworld in order to protect his love. Will he able to protect her or will he fall deeper and deeper into the underworld.

A new gang has taken root in Chicago, and their headquarters are a block away from Nikki’s bakery. Desperate to protect his wife and child, Taylor calls in all kinds of security measures in order to keep her safe. But the gang is still circling, and they’re targeting businesses in that area… businesses just like Nikki’s.
So this is the third book in the Crane Family series, and it absolutely lived up to the first two! I love how protective Taylor is of Nikki and their son, Tait. And I admired how Nikki’s resilience and determination never faltered, even in the face of danger. I also love how Chase and Ryan see Nikki as their own little sister and treat her as such. One of my favorite parts of this book was the side story with Ryan and Arianna. I’m completely intrigued, and I can’t wait to see what Ann has next in store for those two. I completely recommend!

Here's why though. In this book I got caught back up with some I met first when I read Sweet lies. I'm happy to know where each of the characters are and I'm glad to announce that I'm current reading the next one in the series, 'dangerously forbidden love' I have waited a long time to learn more about Ryan and his love interest. In this book though, we find out about Taylor and Nicole.
If you like fast paced easy reads this series is for you. I've finished each of her books in a matter of 2-3 days.
*I was given a pdf of this in exchange for an honest review, however I've also gone ahead and purchased all of the books, ahead of time, autographed by her. 🤪😅

This is the 5th book in the Crane Family Series. We first met Nicole and Taylor in the previous book Be Mine. This story takes over a few months after the last book. Again, this is another stand alone, however this story is not about one of the Crane Family members directly, we take a tangent to some of the chosen family. I will say that we get a lot of insight in the sexy leader of the Crane Family in this story.
This is a cop romance, however the romantic relationship is already established at the start. This story is more about outside forces causing issues for the main couple, as well as setup for the next book.
Overall I liked the story, and I am excited to see where the series will go next.

May 8, 2021Protecting Her : A Mafia Billionaires Romance is the fifth book in the Crane Family series written by Melony Ann. This story is about lieutenant Taylor Reddick and the love of his life Nicole and their baby son.
It's an absolute pleasure to watch Nicole who has struggled and went through a lot of hardships early in her life growing up as a mentally and emotionally strong character.
I loved Taylor's bravado , protectiveness , the glimpse of humility and fear and never-ending , boundless love for his family.
This story portrays the themes of love , romance , mystery , action , suspense and adventure so beautifully that one will be able to visualise like a movie. The well plotted story will keep everyone at the edge of their seat and it's hard to stop reading the story until finished.

After Be Mine, I had to get to Protecting Her right away and get more on Taylor and Nicole’s story . And not only we got all the great emotional scenes from them but we also got more of Arianna and Ryan who took the spotlight in this story.
After Nicole and Tyler finally settle down and Nicole gets back into her business running a bakery things get heated when a gang moves in and targets the shop and puts everyone in danger. And Tyler with his great team of cops and Ryan’s mafia support does anything to protect what’s most important to him.
This is another great addition to the Crane family that will keep you on the edge through out the whole story and you just won’t have enough. I can’t wait to start with the fourth book in the series and see how Ryan and Arianna’s story goes .

In this follow up from Be Mine, Taylor and Nikki are super cute and I am super delighted that they got their happy ending. The emotions throughout the book are very sweet, emotional and intense, there really is a bit of everything to go around!
Mel is always setting such high standards for men each time I read on of her books, because I just love how they will go to any extent to protect their loved ones, as well as treating their lady like a queen!
As I've said before I am loving the Crane Family Series, I just can't get enough!

This story is about an amazing power couple Taylor and Nicole. They were introduced in a previous story. Taylor is a good cop and being in this role led him to Nicole, a new baby, and new adventures. This story brings back some of our favorite characters also as Taylor needs help to fight the gang in his city that is threatening Nicole. The character development is great and the author makes you feel like you are in the story. This is a must read and once you start you won’t want to put it down until you are finished. I highly recommend this story and can't wait for the next story in this series.

Wow! I was expecting to get more of Nicole and Taylor but I thought I'd have to wait for the next book to find out more about Ryan and Arianna. I was pleasantly suprised to find that we get a closer look at it in this book. I found it a little uncomfortable at first given the age difference but Ryan is always adamant he will not take advantage of her and won't touch her until she's 18 (though she does manage to get kisses when she's just shy of 18). If significant age differences bother you this may not be the book for you, however if you are willing to see past it their story is incredibly sweet and well worth a read. It's also nice to see Nicole grow as a character.

This book was another amazing book. I love Taylor and Nicole. Taylor is such a good and genuine guy and i love that they found eachother. i love how he is with her And tair it melta my heart. i love that we also got to see arianna and Ryans relationship. which i also fell in love with. Melony definetely always has me hooked from the forst pasge which is what i love about her. i finished this book in one day as i love it🥰🥰

This series is pretty amazing. With all the twist and turns. Taylor and Nicole… gosh! They are amazing, their connection is really intense and their love is really powerful. Taylor is definitely the sweetest father in this mafia world. Ryan… oh wow… Ryan is so perfect. I love him. And Ari is the sweetest girl ever. She deserves better. Hopefully next book brings their HEA, I can’t wait to read next book.

This is such a wonderful story! I am so in love with this series and the incredible characters. After reading Be Mine, and loving it, I was so excited to read Taylor and Nicole’s story and it most certainly did not disappoint! It is an amazing read and I absolutely recommend it!

This book had me feeling all kinds of emotions. The fear Taylor had for Nikki's safety was evident. I felt each and every emotion. I would recommend this book. If you love a good mafia book then this one is for you.

Love. Romance. Heat. Character growth. Addicting Storyline. The list of reasons to read this book keeps growing as I type. I think you should do us both a favor and read this series because as it grows it just gets better and better. The ending has you needing more from this author.

It really is not often that I say this, but when this book ended I was not ready. I was beyond sucked into the story. Edge of my seat, barely breathing type stuff. And then, well I have to wait to find out.
I love these characters. I am invested in their lives. I fear for them, I worry about them, I laugh with them - I even cry with them (and I HATE it when books make me cry, but I love these anyway!)
This again is a quick read, it’s full of suspense and steam with an excellent storyline to tie it all together!
