Peter's job as a Locator is to find extraordinary people—those with the Gift. The Gifted can sense and harness different kinds of energy and manipulate it in incredible ways. They have a heightened sense of the good that surrounds them, but they also more easily fall prey to the bad as well—to the Evil.
As a new year at Grayson College begins, Peter is thrown into a whirlwind of terror, danger, and love. Will he be able to save a newly found Gifted One from the seductive influence of the Evil? Will he be too late?
Marsha graduated from Utah State University in Music Education and then got the crazy idea to write a novel! Mother of three beautiful boys, and the wife of the most wonderful man in the world, Marsha keeps busy taking care of her house, kids, dog, writing, and playing the flute.
So, is it fair for me to review my own book? Of course it is!! I set out to write "The Order" because I love a good young adult novel that is written to appeal to adults as well. I like the "cleanliness" of YA, but I still need substance to my plot, and reality to my characters and their relationships. So, I set out to write my own YA novel, however I made my characters college age to enhance the believability of the romance.
I hope that my readers will be so surprised by the twists and turns, subtle clues, and hidden treasures in my novel that they will want to read it all over again to see what they missed once they reach the last page.
I love the characters in my novel so much that I am just itching to find the time to complete my sequel. Enjoy!
What an exciting start to a series! I enjoyed getting to know the characters and reliving the excitement and newness of the college experience. It was fun seeing that experience from the eyes of a student again, but in a new way and from a new perspective of someone who is facing different challenges and learning to deal with them.
It is always fun to read a book and temporarily get to “live” in and explore the new space as the author describes it. Living in a college town, it was fun to think about similarities and differences between my town and Golden, Colorado. I’d like to visit and walk the campus of Grayson College.

Started reading this book last night, and I have to say I'm loving it so far. I love that the characters are college-age, for one thing, and I love that the story is being told through Peter's eyes. This book is definitely breaking some of the clichés that normally come with the young adult territory. I think I'm going to get back to reading, now. :)
Go really busy, so this one took me longer than it should have. The ending leaves you open for more, which I expected. Some twists at the end made the climax intense. And I still love the fact that we've got young adult characters in college.
